New Home!
Posted 7 years agoThe move was... a bumpy one.. (and expensive one phew)
There were a lot of hiccups along the way but i've made it to our new home in one piece (somehow)
I've been here a little over two weeks now, and i'll just say that moving from Las Vegas to Indiana was... a culture shock?
The way it looks is different, the way the air feels and smells is different, the people are different (more unfriendly which I did not expect for some reason)
And almost everything closes at 9 or 10? Even the Mcdonalds, and I thought Mcdonalds never close! Like the only thing I've found that doesn't close at those times is the one Walmart Supercenter in town. Its weird and almost inconvenient. I need to get on an early bird schedule.
I saw active falling snow for the first time in 11 years and i'm still not used to the 30F degree temperatures.
I'm sure I'll get used to it soon but I feel really out of place here at the moment.
ANYWAY!!! I have started my hunt for work, but I'm going to be opening commissions soon for a little extra money. The university near my home has ceramics classes and I would like to save to be able to pay for them.
I'll post more about prices and stuff in the next day or so.
I was also thinking about making a twitter. I'm pretty sure i'm going to try it. When I make one I'll post a link! The halloween porn art I still don't get

WELL - a lot has gone on, most of them have not been good. Not good at all lmao
One of those things is that my computer died 4 weeks ago and I was just now able to afford repairs!
What's next?
Now that my computer is running I'm finishing the last two items on my queue and then I will be going on another hiatus as I'm moving!!
My family and I have made the decision to move from Las Vegas to Indiana.
We just can't afford the rising price of living at this point.
It will definitely be a culture shock for me. I mean I've lived in a big 24 hour city my entire life and now we're going to a small town. I'm extremely nervous, but also very excited!! I'm truly hoping the move will help with my mood and motivation and will relieve me of some of my stress. I've already put in my notice at work and we were approved for a rental! Our move in date is November 11th.
The house is adorable! The outside looks like its made of bricks! I've never seen a brick house in person before so i'm really excited about that tbh (at least not that I think?? I'm really bad at paying attention to my surrounds and only paying attention to my "objective" so who knows. I just know i'm happy to never see another stucco house again lmao).
Its also right next to that town's "medical district" so I'm really hoping this improves my opportunities at getting work.
I will not be online for a few weeks after I've finished my last two commissions. Once I come back you can all expect some YCHs and other new art things.

Posted 7 years agoThe small vacation I had with my S/O ended WAY too fast. I've been feeling kind of down in the dumps this week since he left. I miss him a ton. I've also been sleeping my life away after my day time job so I haven't been able to work on anything until today. (Turns out i'm incredibly out of shape and scurrying around town was more exhausting then I thought lmao)
I have updated my trello and everything should be (hopefully) correct. I have started back up on commission work this weekend but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get done.

WEEKEND LONG HIATUS - LDR BF COMING INTO TOWN
Posted 7 years ago As mentioned in the title - my boyfriend is coming from Georgia to visit me this weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. I will not be working this weekend and won’t be able to respond to messages until after Tuesday next week. I will be getting more art updates to my current commissioners next weekend. I will try to update my trello queue before he gets here so that everyone knows where they are in the list.

Posted 7 years agoI realized today that I had 3500K watchers and when I thought about it that's a lot of people and its really exciting to me!
I really appreciate everyone sticking around to support me and my art, and I really can't be thankful enough for all of the attention i'm given.
It truly means a lot to me to know that there are people out there that enjoy my drawings.
I can not give back much, but anybody that is already watching me before the time i've posted this journal and that comments in this journal in the next 48 hours will be entered in a raffle. I do not know what quality of art I will be giving out, or how many drawings I will do but I would like to do something to celebrate!

Posted 7 years agoYesterday I had my wisdom teeth removed.
The procedure ended up lasting about 2 hours 30 minutes. I woke up twice from the anesthesia which i think might've been the worst part since to me it was kind of traumatizing and confusing. Couldnt feel anything but still didnt feel great - kind of dizzy and confused
Immediately once I was released I was apparently begging my mom for a hot dog (one of the BIG ones from sams club 👀 )
Today feels worse than yesterday. I look like a chipmunk and i'm tired of the mushy food. I'm getting hungry a lot and it HURTS.
Also they had gone over possible damage to the sensory nerve the runs along the jaw, and I think it may have been damaged or from the swelling i can't feel anything in my right lip and right chin. The left feels great though
Has anybody else had their wisdom teeth removed? Feel free to share your story!

COLORED SKETCH COMMISSIONS (Updates)
Posted 8 years agoFirst, I will be opening for four color sketch commissions tomorrow 01/18/2018 5PM PST.
Second, some updates.
I will be increasing the price from $25 to $30. As of right now, i've decided that too much time is put into cleaning the sketches. After paypal fees, receiving less than $25 dollars for one character does not make it worth it. I am not sure if I will adjust the prices again in the future, but for now this is where it will stand.
$30 for the first character, +$25 for the second.
I am also no longer accepting the commission forms through Furaffinity notes. Too many people have filled my inbox or comment sections with "I want to claim a spot!!!" without reading the rules and instructions on the descriptions on my post. It became very unorganized for me and it was hard to keep track of and sort through the notes.
So! To solve this I will temporarily disable notes and disable comments during the times I have openings for this type of commission.
I have made a form to fill out instead. The questions are exactly the same as before. I am hoping this way it will be more organized.
Once the spots have filled up I will disable the form so that it can not be filled out.
I will reactivate notes and message anyone that was accepted to notify them that they won a spot and that i've sent an invoice.
I also wanted to let future commissioners know that they can always check their commission progress on my Trello: https://trello.com/b/ZHg5KEDL/commission-progress
For any questions, feel free to ask away either here or privately!

PSA !! USING CHARACTERS FOR ROLEPLAY
Posted 8 years agoPlease do not read this journal in an aggressive tone, that is not my intention.
I have found my character(s) being claimed/used on role-playing sites a few times. I know I can not stop everyone, because lets face it, this is the internet and I do not have complete control of things I make public on the internet. I would still like to bring up that I do not give anybody permission to role-play or purchase art of my character(s). If you do see anybody claiming/roleplaying any of my characters, please send me a private message so that I can contact them or please just politely ask them to take it down.
I do not post any stories about my characters often, but I do put a lot of work into creating their backstories, personalities, and giving them their names. It is truly heartbreaking to me to see them being used any way other than what I have intended.
This does not include just my art and characters, but for anybody using characters or art that does not belong to them, please, out of respect for the owners, ask for permission first.
I also do not like the excuse that you can not get your own character. There are tons of adoptables just waiting to be picked up for very low prices and they can be all yours without any worries. I will have more discounted colored sketch commissions open in the future, if you need help making a simple character design, I will be very happy to help you and I'm sure there are other artists out there that will be happy to make your own original characters as well.
