Kobolds wanted! (For art!)
General | Posted a year agoYou know I probably should've made this post a long long time ago but I just thought about it now so better late than never! I'm sure you have noticed if you look at my art that I have a thing for kobolds being on top or in this instance completely crushing or destroying me in various ways. The thing is as I'm sure you may have noticed besides a couple of exceptions is that all my kobolds are very generic looking as none of them are actual characters.
So why not rectify that!?
If you have a kobold character that you wouldn't mind making appearances in my GameOver series or Squishtober series or any similar series in the future most likely crushing me or wearing Shoey undies or laughing as I fall for the same trap for the dozenth time feel free to post them in the comments with their ref and and any need to know into and such and they may appear in these series in the future!
Should be noted that if you're posting the comment here I'm assuming you are OK with most if not all of the game over scenarios you have already seen from me. If you are not and you don't want your kobold to appear in specific kinks or the like please say so in the comment!
Anyways thanks for the interest and I hope to see at least a few kobolds join the ranks of the kobold king! ^^

Dragoneer and FA
General | Posted a year agoI didn't really know Dragoneer that well, other than he seems pretty cool and that this extremely unfair to everyone involved that it even happened in the first place and I am sorry for FA, his family, and everyone else's loss.
But I'm mostly making this to say I've seen a decent amount of people spreading around concerns that FA might die because of this. And like... I can get being concerned but please at the very least let people grieve before doom posting about how the site will die and how people need to archive and download everything. Even with this horrible circumstance the site should at the very least last quite while, absolute bare minimum until the end of the year. (Though It'll almost certainly last longer than that) And if it ever does start to go down it will almost certainly alert users and it won't suddenly pop out of existence.
This isn't meant to throw shade or anything at those possibly posting about this either. I can understand the concern and worry about it. But again just try to let people grieve for their friend and not just dump all this worry on people while they are grieving please.

Birthday and Yearly Retrospective
General | Posted 2 years agoHey all waited until now to let you know it is my birthday! As I can also do one of those retrospectives that people do.
I first started by uploading a ton of older art I got usually for my various dnd characters and it was during that time I got my very first watcher here. To be honest I feel a bit bad about it in hindsight as I now draw VERY different things compared to the old SFW dnd commissions I got. I hope I don't annoy him with my constant weird uploads of other, niche things. XD
But after that I started off writing stuff and those are somehow some of my most viewed and favorite'd stuff. I guess being a Pathfinder/DnD GM made me pretty good at writing stuff! X3
Still despite being good at it I actually didn't like it too much as I found out when trying to write my own CYOA story. I finished the base story but got severely burnt out after a while and only 1/3rd or so of the alt routes were written before I stopped working on it entirely and it remains unfinished to this day. To be fair it probably didn't help that I tried including routes and kinks for everyone even if I wasn't that interested in the kink personally. As we can see with my current uploads I do enjoy writing stories for them quite a bit! So it was probably me trying to overreach was more so the problem than the writing itself. I'll try to stick to writing things I enjoy from now on because of that lesson... XP
After that happened I dusted off my old multiple years old drawing tablet that I bought so long ago and started drawing again or more like attempting. I had no real idea of what I was doing but I was feeling... okay with the end products. Not good but okay. And then I just so happened to be in a voice call with Dergum and he drew me for no reason turning my shitty drawing headshot of myself into something incredible like it was nothing! And ever since that happened I decided right then and there I wanted to learn how to draw and do the same thing to others and that was when I REALLY went hard into drawing all because of that kindness Dergum showed me! It is why, even though he isn't actually my top favorite artist or anything, I single him out in my favorite artists section on FA as he inspired me so much and I wouldn't be here without him to be honest. It was after that I drew my ref sheet and it took a long time to get right but I was finally happy with the end product and thought it actually looked good! And the rest was history as I experimented more with drawing and got a feel for things even experimenting with animations!
Now about a year later I'm here with nearly 2500 favorites and 190 watches for my art and my page and a ton more friends and people to talk to than I ever had previously! When I made my stuff and still to this day I get excited when just one person favorites my stuff and I always go look to see who did it and now I wouldn't believe how many people I would get viewing, watching, and favoriting my art when I first started! I even started selling and offering some cheap YCHs that actually sold some! And just small stuff like that has me so excited for the future! I can only hope I'll provide even more fun artworks and silly scenarios all of you will enjoy and look forward to seeing! Thank you all so much for your support!
And now for some notes and things to look forward to: I do plan on opening commissions sometime this year and to be honest I probably would've done it already but I'm currently focused on my Dragon Platformer gameover obsession and I wanna work on that first. Oh and in case anyone else thinks this the series isn't over! I just wanted something special for Appreciate a Dragon day! It will continue and it isn't actually the end! I added an extra blurb to both of them trying to hint at this just in case! ^^
... can you believe I originally made my feral form to be the more dominant one? Pfft that was a funny joke by me. XP
Speaking of which I really need to update my feral form's ref to my more modern standards. And while I'm at it I should probably make a ref for the Kobold King as he's such an important and "larger than life" ( ;3 ) character at this point too.
I haven't done nearly as many animations as I used to as now with the shading and details put in it can be very hard to get that all lining up looking smooth, I hope I can be better at it one day so I don't dread trying to make the animation smooth. xwx
And uh... I think that's all the important stuff. I would say more but this journal entry is already long as fuck. So I'll just leave it here. Thank you all for your support and encouragement! I appreciate all of it! I'm so glad to have started on this journey making art as I'm now super happy and enjoy my b own art so much! Thinking about Opening up YCHs Commissions
General | Posted 2 years agoHey so yeah, I'm mostly doing this to see an interest check. I've been thinking about opening up for commissions and YCHs, probably starting with YCHs and possibly moving onto commissions later.
With the way I made my art (With just about everything you can think of on a separate layer/folder) I could easily turn a lot of my previous stuff I made into YCHs if anyone would be interested in that. If I see people are interested. I could even turn some of my animations into YCHs though those would probably be priced more than other stuff but depends a lot on the animation, more on that later.
If I do YCHs I plan to make them multi-autobought (I think that's the correct terminology? Basically you just pay straight up for the YCH and multiple people can get it, no bidding.) YCHs as I've never liked bidding for YCH slots even though now as an artist I understand the appeal if you just want a character to draw and don't want to make one up on the spot. Perhaps I'll try those later but for now if there's interest I'll probably just do the non-bidding ones.
Speaking of which if you are interested please suggest prices! I definitely wanna start low as I haven't ever done commissions/YCHs before and I don't think my artwork is of the highest quality though if I ever do animations I will definitely charge a lot more than still images. Right now I'm thinking ~$5-$20 (USD) depending on the YCH, complexity of character and pose, and other factors. With Animations having a much higher range of $20-$40 depending on the animation for YCHs. I have no idea what I would price full on commissions but I would probably make a spreadsheet of various things to determine that if there's interest later on.
Lastly I would need to be paid with paypal as that's the only uh... paying service I have. Though I guess I could accept steam wallet $s (Since that's apparently a thing now and god knows I'll inevitably spend it!) But would prefer paypal for obvious reasons. I was thinking about allowing both but maybe adding a tax for the steam version later if I get too many payments via it. I'd also only want to get paid once I actually finish the art to not put stress on me to finish it and because I know it is way too easy to get scammed like that and I'm not exactly trustworthy yet as this would be my first time opening commissions. Once it is finished I'll probably just watermark it and ask for the money and once sent I'll just remove the watermark and make any changes you may want. Note that for Commissions later I'd also probably send you the sketches (though my sketches look kinda nasty not going to lie) and the pre-shading/lighting pictures to get any changes you may want before I finalize coloring. But again that is later on if I open up for Commissions too. And once again I'm asking for your thoughts on the matter.

General | Posted 2 years agoI just noticed I hit 100 Watchers! Um, sorry for not having uploading anything recently, I've been too busy playing videogames I got off of the Steam Summer Sale... I do have a fairly big piece in the works though at the very least! Already started it! Remind me not to make any more large multi-panel projects though! XP But um... as for anything special for hitting 100 watchers? I have no idea what to even do. I'd say I would set up a raffle but I draw people occasionally that post in my gift bag threads anyway! So... idk what even would be the raffle stuff. But still, either way, thank you all so much for watching me. I never at all expected to have this many people, let alone 100, watch anything I posted. Edit submission thumbnail?
General | Posted 2 years agoHey in my most recent upload I consider it one of my best works but I realized looking over it today that it has a pure black thumbnail as that's the first frame. I tried editing submission thumbnail in various ways so that it is a frame in the actual animation. However it doesn't seem to work no matter what I try, does anyone know how to get it working? And if the option literally doesn't work do you think I should try deleting it and reuploading it with a custom thumbnail? As I think THAT works at least thanks to my couple of writing stuff, though maybe I'm wrong and art can't have custom thumbnails? If so that would suck for my animations as I want most to start and end in a similar way...
