Posted 10 years agoSo, I have an idea. If someone bought a few face masks (Like the Phantom of the Opera ones) and drew your character on them or something along those lines, how much would you pay for them?
I'm thinking about doing this as a small income until I can obtain another job. All funds go to paying rent so a roof will stay over my head.

Posted 11 years agoI will be getting a tablet, at least for now! It may be used, but it's better than nothing. It's a bamboo and all I owe him is an icon for it!!!
So, once I get it, hopefully it'll be compatible with my Netbook and I'll be able to start, practice, and possibly sell Digital Art!

Officially Going To Open for Commissions...
Posted 11 years agoI will be officially opening up for small cheap commissions. A for the practice, B because I need the money, C. to give some of you what you've PROBABLY been waiting for!
All of my art will be traditional for the time being, and I will be setting up prices.
This will be completed sometime next month. I say by the 3rd week.
I will be set up for all of this and I hope you all will be lining up to accept slots.
I think I will open 4 or 5 to begin with. And work my way from there!
I will be doing commissions from my previous profile and doing personal art here once I get everything set up.
So, look to :nanaku: for updates as well and watch there if you haven't already!

ARTIST, please read, I need some assistance
Posted 11 years agoI am thinking of starting Digital Art next month, when I have my finances and such better, also a new laptop. (I currently have a small netbook)
I was curious as to what a good system was to use as far as Programs and a Graphic Tablet?
I've looked at Wacom and Cintiq as far as Tablets. I've also looked at Photoshop, PaintToolSai, and one other program for the artwork.
I'm a bit, cheap, because of financial issues. But, I'd like to know a good brand and get something of decent size to start working on my art. Next year, I plan on going all out and full force with my art. It's the only way I'll be able to improve it, and though I'm generally a traditional artist, it's a bit...difficult to keep up with paper and pencil at all times when I'm so busy nowadays.
Please help me!!!

I know that I haven't been posting up art as often as I used to or would even like to truthfully, but I've been so busy with work and such that it has been extremely hard to find enough me time to do so.
So, I'm hoping to have something new before the holidays.

Posted 12 years agoLove is a wonderful thing that all of us soon feel we should rejoice in. It is implausible the minority of people who truly ever get to share their Love with someone. its such a heart rendering things to watch as the world dies off and continues to hate. A detestation that burns like the sun never has, as immense and engulfing. Such a strong blaze. One that a simply small gesture can quickly calm, the power of kindness is highly underestimated. As well as very underrated. Everyone wants to be respected. But nt a one wants to be the one to put their foot forward and take that plunge into tryin it. God forbid they come off as cowardly, or weak. They wouldn't dare put their reputation on the line for the sake of their spiritual well-being. Not even for the sake of their own essence will they dare wave, or say thank you, or even risk a please or sorry. Who would dare use such language in a world such as this? Who should dare show so much emotion? I would dare. I dare you to say "Hi" to your worst foe. I dare you to wave at your fellow citizen. I dare you to hug someone you've never met. I dare you to do things you've never done before and see how spiritually fulfilling it can be. To sit back and bring a smile to someone's face. To put a warm fuzzy feeling in their heart. To become the best person you can be, by becoming the nicest one anybody has ever met. By showing your love for not only others, but in doing so for yourself.

To open up thine heart, per chance to love, but per chance to hate, and when that hate mingles with thy soul and corrupts thee in such a way that thine tis never the same again. Aye, there's the rub, the mingling of the soul, the chance to be absorbed into a bottomless pit of darkness. A pit that will eventually torment and destroy the soul. But, perhaps, this meeting is blessed by the Gods. Blessed in such a way, tha the Gods shall come down from the heaven and rejoice in thy union.
And in thy union sing the joyfulness of the world and the angels. But say that thy union does not, are thine own soul willing to take a chance? Willing to put itself up for such a possible blight. A blight that will cause it to wither and decay until the day the heart dies. A thing of such horrid pain, that our minds could not and should not muster the courage to attempt to fathom such a feat. What is this choice that we have? The simply tragedy is that even if thou does drench thyself in such splendors as is love. There still lies that chance that it will lead into that same darkness and despair. This despair deeper than any dungeon or chasm thou can ever be thrown inton, one of thy mind and heart as well as thy soul. One that will keep thee bound in chains and always tormented. A torment so horrendous in its making and doing that though shalt live in a world of misery and anguish. A world in which no other beingh could ever imagine or within that imagined world begin to understand the feeling of even trying to attempt to live in such a weary and loveless state. I have no idea what to draw or where to even begin.
I suppose, I can't give up...that's just a no no....But, I'd like to do some adoptables, because I can't keep all my characters.
Until I get some money to afford better stuff though, I am in need of a free digital art program...then I can increase my usage of all my stuff.
My art would increase tremendously if I could just do it digitally.
I want to get all the others completed and colored first. I have way too many WIP still open.
That's about it for now!

Heyas there citizens of watcherville...
I Am thinking about attending FA:U next month rather then IFC. Since it's held in Jersey, I was planning on trying to come in a week early to visit with my family who is localish to the con, and then end my vacation by attending the con. IF this happens I was wanting to know if any of you might happen to have some room space available. As you all know I'm a suiter so I would have at least ONE of my suits with me for the con. Due to luggage restrictions I will be packing very light on my trip, so will not have much with me.
Secondly, I MIGHT be having possibly my father in attendance, but that's a huge IF. Doubt it would be likely, but there is a slight possibility.
For now though I am putting the feelers out there to see if anyone I know might be going and have room for one, and POSSIBLY two people in their room. I would be able to pay my fair share with no problem. I just cant afford a room on my own and would prefer to stay AT the con hotel rather then traveling.

Adesso + GIMP= Art?

A. Don't have my new laptop as of yet (Which is an Acer a friend found me for $298 that I will be purchasing next week)
B. Can't afford any software! (Though my Adesso came with PS6)
C. Still suck at drawing!!
BUT...
Good news is, I'll be able to practice some art and post some things soon!!!
Who knows..this may lead into commissions if I can find the time! Which seems to be getting better and better!!!

Also, Kiki's been running around for 2 days without her collar like that's the thing to do.....
I don't know what to do any fucking more!
UPDATE: Found Kiki's collar and I have to wait on the bank transfer from my Paypal to pay for the DL stuff because my damn bank doesn't do outside transfers so I couldn't transfer to my other card!!!
Freaking sucks...
Also, todays' pay day and without at least one of those two items, I don't get SHIT!! Isn't that about a bitch?

I know I haven't posted anything other than WIPs and that SUCKS MAJORLY!
But, I get paid on the 18th and I'll hopefully be picking up some well needed art supplies. Trying to save for a decent tablet component to do my art on, but I have other things to do first.
So, my art gets pushed back because it's not a source of income for me.
But, as I said, hopefully I'll be posting some COMPLETED work soon!!!

I Need Critique!!
Posted 12 years agoOk...Before I get started on this Koi fish tattoo drawing for a gift for my friend (Twin), I need to get some ideas as to how I can make my artwork better as a traditional artist. I know the whole practice, practice, practice, but if I practice the same wrong techniques, I'll only get better at doing it wrong. So, I am asking for a small group of you, not everyone, to review at least these pictures, and give me some constructive feedback on where they are REALLY good, and where they need some help at. ANY help. I'm not easily offended so simply tell me what needs to be improved so I can draw things that will let me practice on the weak points AND strengthen them.
It always helps to have extra pairs of eyes overlook something that you may have missed.
