Happy 2024 Heroes and Watchers!

As of the 1st of January 2024, PayPal has issued tax compliance ontop of their actual fees. Since PayPal is one of the only easier platforms to use, I'll have to stick with them when offering commissions. The Tax compliance is 15% due to South Africa's VAT regulations. This is a tax write off IF the goods are considered VAT necessary, however, SARS is a little finicky with what they consider VAT necessary. So I don't usually pay an additional VAT cost ontop of my income tax I usually pay for. Digital art commissions don't fall under that in my case, therefore I'm losing 15% with every transaction I do with PayPal from here on out.

With this, I have to raise the prices by 15% due to PayPal's incompetency.

Hey Heroes!
So big things are happening soon on Twitch and in my life. One of which is regular commissions are going to open up again. I'll be starting a small new Twitch Channel that reflects this art page! It'll be me silently listening to music and working on my art.

Stream Viewers and Art Commissioners

I've been streaming for the last month now and have started to realize how enjoyable it is. So enjoyable that I now realize that I've lost track of my responsibilities.
I’m an artist, but becoming a streamer. And in order to do streaming more, I need to fix my backlog and queue.

Streaming will end up being my dedication to outputting my commission work and finishing the queue. However, in order to do that, I’ll have to focus on art more than streaming for now.
Not to say that streaming has been at all a bad thing, but a motivation of what I want to transform to. I've enjoyed doing commissions on stream, however the distraction of enjoying my chat stops me from realizing that finishing the artwork is what’s important at the end of the day.

But even more importantly:
Completing my backlog and giving my customers an accurate time of completion. It is my responsibility, as an artist, to make sure my promises of a good time frame and good work ethic are achieved and met.
I apologize to all my commissioners; I have been lacking in both departments recently. You may blame mourning a friend's passing 2 months ago or me discovering my passion for streaming as an excuse; but, as much as that might be true, I'd rather keep my promises and give you the work you deserve.

That being said I'm making changes starting next week. Commission output is a challenge to myself. I want to stream so badly and I also want to finish my backlog. Therefore, streaming is a motivation of want and reward; my commission backlog will be my marathon. I'll be streaming every 2nd day of the week for 3 hours to keep the ball rolling and my regular viewers watching me. But I'll be working seriously hard off stream for my customers so I feel good about streaming at the end of the day.

I appreciate everyone of one of you and my patient commissioners (which has been every one of them), you've all been nothing but amazing. I'll be sending your much deserved work soon.

Paperkat passed away today, 4am 17 June 2021 in her sleep... Officially 6am, we waited a long time for ambulance to arrive... Every minute was awful.

She was an artist. She made fursuits but she did it because of one important thing. She loved her friends and wanted to give to the world. She never profited off of her fursuit making because that's who she was, she wanted to make things and feel productive and give to people she knew would cherish and take care of them.

She was the glue that brought my local friends together. Arranged bbqs and loved her cats, loved her friends and loved her loved ones. She was the best of me and supported and loved everyone that got close to her. She was only fucking 33 years old...

She was stubborn in her ways and just wanted peace. I miss her so much... I even spoke to her just before she went to sleep her final time... Promised her when she got better I'd visit more often, I'd watch Markiplier with her, memes... She wanted more time with her friends...

I fucking miss you, I'm going to miss you so fucking much. I love you Paperkat, may you rest in peace. And know that I'll continue to hold that glue you so desperately did for us.

This is not a goodbye... This is an until I see you again and we'll catch up on everything you missed with me. So until next time.
