My long story is now finished.
General | Posted 4 years agoHi everyone,
Just to let you know my story featuring
and
is finally finished! I am greatful to both, who gave me permission after reading the entire story. I was so elated by their response to the story. I don't blow my own trumpet, but I did enjoy writing the story, and to work with those two characters was an absolute joy. Thank you so much guys.
I will upload the whole story in one submission later in the week, and put the chapters into my scraps, so I can tidy up my gallery.
Also, I have unashamedly plugged
BabyStar's fundraising efforts in every chapter. There is now only a few days left to donate, so if you can, please consider giving something, no matter how small or large, as it all counts! I don't think it made much of a difference, but I felt the need to help, as after all -Star has given so many people so much joy.
I've got one more story which I'm finishing, yet after that, I only have ideas, no set plots. If you would like me to write your OC in a story with Kola and/or Pepsi, and happy to discuss ideas, let me know! I love writing other peoples characters in my stories, and would only be too happy writing a small story for my friends. I still have lots of room for improvment, and love any oppertunity to hone my skills. This is why I don't want to charge anything.
Hope everyone is keeping well, and safe.
Love to all.

Got my Covid Jab, and was scared!
General | Posted 4 years ago1994 was the last time I had an injection.
Ever since I had a needle break in my arm during a blood test, I have been needlephobic. I braved a MR Booster when the Government produced scary infromation about Measles, as I didn't want the complications that could come from that disease, so I sucked it in, cried like a baby, and never wanted a jab again!
26 years later, and Covid entered our lives, but I never thought that would lead me to have an injection. I didn't care if I got covid. It would be a few days off work, and if it was going to be my time, then so be it.
I was hoping a nasel spray would be out when it came to my turn, but alas it's still being trialled. I was adament I would never be vaccinated, until the spray came out. I even said:
"I'm going to be brave and selfless and
make sure everyone has their jab before me!"
...in my own sort of humour.
But of course I was actually going to be the opposite. Not only would I be a wimp, but I would be utterly selfish catching Covid, with the risk of passing it to my friends and family. If I survived, yet someone I was in close contact with didn't, I would have their blood on my hands. Thats why I decided to be a big brave soldier (as my dear old mum would say) and take my medicine to help everyone.
I was nervous all day at work, and shook like a leaf as the afternoon draw on. Once I arrived at the clinic, I told the volunteers I'm utterly terrified, but they did there best to explain how I was to the nurse administering the vaccine. I sat in that chair, and felt like I was going to to explode with fear and almost considered running away. But the nurse calmly reassured me, asked a few questions, and after a few deep breaths - zap, the job was done. I felt a little warm afterwards, but after a little sleep, I'm fine.
So if you're like me, and hate the thought of a hyperdermic needle going anywhere near you, please try and find the courage if you can. You are not alone, and the fantastic volunteers and nurses will understand, and do their uttemost to make it as easy as they can for you. Plus you will be helping out so much to avoid us going into a another monotonous lockdown... with no pubs!
If you would like to talk to me and tell you about more my experience, or you just want a friendly ear, I will be happy to hear from you, and hopefully get you through it! :)
And if you're worried about the side effects, they'll be gone in a few days. My friends vouched for that.
I would also like to thank
BabyStar for sharing her experience in her journal. It made me realise that I needed to pull my socks up, be a brave soldier and do it! Thank you Star!

General | Posted 4 years agoSo, I have written two stories this week. One was a story to introduce my characters in a bit more detail, and other was a gift for Zee-Zee who was so kind to draw Kola in one of his pictures. The postive reponse I've got have been amazing, esepcially as I haven't writen a story since school! Also I was so glad Zee-Zee like my story :3
Now, I know I made it clear I can't draw to save the world. I've tried using my Surface Book, and some free art programs, but I still can't get shapes right :(. I guess I will stick to stories for the time being until I hone in on my art skills, if I get any! I still I owe Tardis55 something for offering to draw Kola as the 7th Doctor.
I got more stories in my head, which I will write soon, and I will keep practising at drawing.
Love and hugs to all! :3

General | Posted 4 years agoWell, my first journal. I've been on FA for nearly 5 years, hiding in the shadows. I have loved the furry scene and I've been an age player for years. I've always felt I had a furry side in me, but realising it fully took me a while. Kola came to me late last year. He's like me, chilled, caring and I like to think kind. Like me he likes to eat and chill like most koalas appear to do. I've travelled to Australia a while ago, and I always felt an affinity with Koalas. After look at some photos of my time Down Under, those memories came back, and Kola was envisioned as my little buddy.
But, I needed a drawing, and right I can't draw to save my life (stickmen are my limit!) I looked at getting commisions, and I saw a couple of opportunites from one of my favourite and kind artists
BabyStar. When I found out she was doing a 24 hour stream for charity, I felt it would be good to help a good cause and finally have a picture of Kola drawn. It came into my inbox a couple of weeks later, and I was in awe. It's a cute little drawing, but Star got Kola perfectly, just how I imagined him. Kola was born!
A few weeks later, Star was offering to draw a funny YCH picture of a Easter Egg Hunt scene again for the charities she is supporting. I had to sieze the opportunity of having another picture drawn by a great artist, and Star did not dissapoint! Kola was captured brilliantly, and I love the detail. Many people have favourited this picture, and I can only credit that all to Star.
Sorry for sounding like a broken record, but if you're reading this
BabyStar Thank you so much!!!!!!
Also, Kola's Easter Egg hunt has gained me a new friend and watcher
Tardis99. He said he will draw Kola as the 7th Doctor. Hopefully we will see this soon, but there is no rush. I will hope to figure a way of returning the favour! Thank you
Tardis99 😁
Finally there was a little surprise in store for me after I commented on Zee-Zee's journal about Good Friday. I love Easter with chocolate eggs, and Hot Cross Buns. Later in the day, I saw that
Zee-Zee has drawn Kola playing a rainbow xylophone with other characters. This is Kola's first cameo! I was so touched by this gesture, as I love Zee-Zee's character, and his drawings, and I wasn't expecting it! Thank you
Zee-Zee! Again I hope to return the favour!
Also thank you to all my other watchers and faves. It really does mean a lot to me.
As for the future, well, I aspire to be a drawing artist one day, but it will take time. For now, I got a clear story in my head where I will introduce more of Kola's character, and introduce Kola's adopted sister. I hope to pen to paper, (or fingers to keyboard) in a couple of days.
Happy Easter everyone!
