So... yeah. Dragoneer's passing is rough. He was one of the first people to ever commission me, really made me feel like I wasn't wasting my time in those early days. Hadn't spoken with him since.... ugh, AC2013 I think. He will be missed. I'm still kinda processing it all myself.

Anyway, I has employment and it's pretty great. Lots of late shifts but like I said in February it doesn't keep me super busy. I'm saving up for a new compy so I can actually get back to the real work, the stuff for here. Hopefully this'll pull off and I can finally stop saying 'someday'.

Sorry about the no update after the last journal. I got kinda busy with stuff.

Basically I decided to take the whole year off and focus on getting my place cleaned and my head unfucked, or at least as much as possible on both fronts. I sold the vast majority of my Magic: the Gathering collection and was able to pay bills and groceries and more than a few (too many) Transformers for my collection ˚u˚ Had to keep the gaping void in my soul happy!

So now I've started a new job that won't keep me very busy. After some time... well, I hate that I've made promises to you and myself about getting back to this. But... we'll see. Fingers crossed.

Missed you guys. Miss this all a lot. Maybe someday life will stop it with cascading 2-by-4s on my head.

Actually a couple weeks ago. Long story, some stuff I shouldn't have done and some stuff not my doing but I didn't do myself favors. Still though, 8.5 years. Never been with any group/program/school/SO that long.

It really bummed me out at first, spent about a week eating 'special' gummies (usually just for sleep) and binging through Steven Universe. Twice. But now that's out of my system... I don't know? I got my tax money in and am selling some cards to tide me over for a few months as I figure things out. House needs a serious organizing: I'm not saying 'reorganizing' because that would imply it was organized before. I'mma mess :3

So yeah, good times. In honesty I was kinda miserable and it's now a little... liberating. Cautiously optimistic. How's you?

*sigh* It's already been a whole year, huh. Crazy how fast these things get away.

So *ahem* here's the deal:

I started getting back into the swing of things and then ran into old frustrations as one does while artsing. I found myself lacking ability to push through it then, and the rigors of day-to-day adulting was not giving me much time to recharge and approach with a fresh enough head to do so. I mean, I work at a comic book store buying and selling Magic: The Gathering cards for a living, which while pretty great is still a job that requires showing up and pretending you don't hate every customer who comes to shatter your tranquility.

So here's the situation: I'll keep trying, maybe posting something once in a while when I feel like it's quality worth sharing. In 2-3 years something familial will break down and I'll have more... opportunity to devote to passion than ends-meet. It's already been so long, what's a few more years?

I hate saying that, I hate that I've been in this place I'm at for 10 years without getting back on top of things. But, fuck it.

It's been too long, I'm sorry for all-but ghosting on this place. Man, stuff has changed, people gone or inactive. Kinda know what that's like.

How many of you are still here? It will be slow at first, but I'm feeling like starting back up. And I haven't done much work in the meanwhile. I'm so far behind.

3.) Draw off the top of your head a lot.

4.) Stop feeling sorry for yourself.

5.) Don't compare yourself to others; your experiences don't match up. And it's supposed to look different, too.

6.) Practice more.

7.) You can enjoy your work, but never stay satisfied.

8.) Be patient, it takes a long while.

9.) Practice a lot more.

10.) Live life, learn things, become wiser. Never think you're complete on anything.

11.) You've not practiced enough.

CONTENT -- Sex is supposed to be fun, right? And everyone has their own definition for it. I don't look down on kinks that aren't my own. But there are a few things I won't go to, in the realm of sexy art --


1.) Every character I draw in adult situations will have some level of enjoyment.
Even if they're embarrassed and onlooking there's excitement buried underneath. Things I typically will not do commissions containing (but not limited to):

Rape, Guro, Vore, Scat, Pissing, Sexual Violence (sorry, no donkey punches)

This is not to say I won't do violence, as in non-adult action scenes. And SOME of the above can possibly be negotiated (every man has his price, right?). If you've got an idea that's 'atypical' but not listed here, feel free to ask! Worst I could say is no :3



2.) I do not draw cubs nude or in sexual situations.
All characters I draw in adult situations are aged 18 and up, or whatever equivalent for maturity.

This is a trickier subject matter, topic of many debates (and flamewars). I have nothing against loli/shota/cub art. Nothing at all. I'm a big proponent of Freedom of Speech and my philosophy goes down that track. However, you will not see adult works of this nature from me (especially since new rules more or less prevent it anyway).

If anything I produce appears to be under aged, it is either a perspective issue due to stylized anatomy, and/or a plain anatomical error on my part and was not intentional.

Because I do fuck up on occasion ._.;


3.) I finish all commissions, but I cannot accept deadlines on commissions.
To pre-clairfy, this only applies to commissions I personally take via this (or similar) sites -- for-hire work obviously has its own dictations that I do respect.

Life happens (in fact, it has happened. Hard.), concepts are hard, medical issues, what have you. In recent I've had to take commissions on top of old commissions I hadn't finished yet and that's a serious pain in the ass. If a substantial amount of time has passed and you haven't seen your work, shoot me a note. I try to have this happen as little as possible, but I'm only human, and I'm still smoothing out rough patches. Commissions are finished in as timely a manner as I can make it -- with the exception of extreme circumstances I don't take more on until old batches are finished.

I sometimes promise work will be done by X date and then I run into trouble. I try apologize in advance if that happens.



4.) I aim to satisfy.
If there's an issue with something, tell me! I'll fix in any way I can. If I completely botch and I determine it is my own fault, I'll do all I can to mend it, even it it takes a complete do-over (it's happened before)! Please send me a note on this matter though. Handling it on a personal level will get a better response from me.



5.) No more kiribans.
Kiriban and I have not had any luck together. To date I have taken 3 -- for 5,000 pageviews, 500th watch, and then one for 15,000 pageviews (that was kinda charitable on my part). Also to date, I still have 3 kiribans yet to complete. They've just consistently fallen through the cracks. Its my fault and I've got them in mind, and will be done at some point.



6.) Copyright.
I retain all copyright to my works, though your characters do belong to you. If you do not want your picture posted or potentially made into a print, please let me know when you are commissioning.

You are allowed to repost your commission on your page without asking me for permission :3 The only guideline I ask is that you post a link back to my FA page when you do (in FA, :icon + narffet: of course). You can post it offsite too, provided you give me credit and again I request you link back to my FA page. Go ahead and fill up e621 and any like site with my stuff too, I don't mind!

I ask you please do not alter, ink, or color anything on my page without my permission. For your commissions I am not usually opposed, for my personal work I usually ask that you don't. The exception to this rule is that you MAY crop a picture down to make an avatar from. Again if possible, linkage is always appreciated.

7.) Gift Art.
