I've also finally updated my commissions tab to reflect different pricing, though as usual I don't really have any slots open. I might open up after finishing these next two commissions and a trade I've been meaning to do for a while, plus I could use the extra cushion for food during MFF! I really hope I can get these done soon though, I feel like I move at a frozen snail's pace.

Time for my bi-yearly update!
So I'm going to be working throughout the summer again as a waiter to (attempt to) pay off some of my debt before resuming classes. I'm also on the lookout for a co-op with a tech company, since my degree requires a year of that. I've got a lot to do, so my artwork throughput is likely going to suffer a little bit! :c

Anyway, who's going to Anthrocon? Don't forget to bring a sketchbook so I can draw a dick in it!

My birthday is coming up in 6 days, I'm excited! I'm looking forward to going out to dinner with  pyrokai! Gonna eat so much food =w=

So after Anthrocon  pyrokai and I decided that one furry con per year just isn't enough, so this year we're gonna be headed to MFF with  korth,  outlandishstudios, and  koojoe! I'm so fucking excited you don't even know, this is gonna be the furthest westward I've ever been outside of an airport, so I'm super pumped to see Chicago and all it's got to offer!

I like staring pensively into space, work 3 jobs, speak 3 languages, and I'm currently going to college for computer science. Sometimes, I'm not as in control as I think I am, and later today I got a little emotional after posting something I didn't think was too controversial.

The truth is, I haven't really been having the best of days. I've just been informed that I have to make additional payments to my college or risk not being able to attend the next semester, and on top of that I won't be able to take my favorite class unless 3 people in front of me decide to drop the class. Not to mention I work 16 hours per day, and sometimes more if my third job calls me in. With the dregs of time left for me between jobs and managing to sleep, I like to draw and study japanese, the former of which got me into a little trouble today.

Yesterday I posted a piece with my friend's character saying something many people seem to have a problem with. It wasn't meant so much as a joke, but as something to greatly contrast the cuteness of the character, but a good few people seemed to take it like I was trying to legitimize or make light of something I didn't know was a very touchy subject on FA: rape.

If you do a keyword search on the term, you'll find some of the most popular artists on FA draw pieces with this as the theme of the piece, from the dialogue to the very actions going on in the picture, even brutally depicted! Seeing this, I really didn't think it was such a hot button issue on the website. Now, I'm not talking about reality at all here, there's very clear reasons why that is wrong in all cases. But with the pictures on this website, it's all fantasy, and that's why I think I got so frustrated with all the sour comments.

I know a hell of a lot of people like their kink art non-consensual, be it vanilla sex, inflation, or anything really. So what makes rape fantasy so different? This is not to say I have a rape fetish at all, but really, if one character is acting against the other in order to do something someone may construe as sexual, is that not rape? I'm not so sure that people into non-consensual play in their artwork would think they're propagating rape culture or making light of it in the least, at least, this is what I think.

Can you see why I was a little twisted after getting a bunch of negative comments on my piece, which simply used the word rape, and didn't depict anything regarding the matter? Anyway, if you were truly disgusted by my choice of words, I apologize. I really didn't mean for it to hurt you, but please consider my side for a second, the side that spent a good portion of their free time drawing something he thought people might like.

I finally cleared a bunch of commissions, so here's my current schedule:

I'm about to spill my guts here so please avert your eyes if you're faint of heart.

Nate and I are away from eachother right now, and we're both working like dogs to benefit ourselves in the long run, but with myself away Nate has been having trouble saving money with all of the bills. Now smack in the middle of my 3 month summer work-a-thon is Anthrocon, an event I plan on not only seeing friends at, but also my dearly beloved. It's been very hard on both of us being away, and if somehow Nate is unable to attend because of financial reasons, I'll just crawl into an emotional hole and hibernate until the fall when I finally return. So please, get some great art, and by doing so help Nate and I overcome the strain that distance places on us!

Please allow me to explain myself!

About a 2 weeks ago I moved from my home with  pyrokai to my hometown in Massachuchu for the summer, because minimum wage here is like $10 an hour as compared to federal minimum back in the asspire state. Of course, the move saw its casualties, one of which being my tablet-pc's charger which has halted my ability to work on digital commissions. A new one has just arrived in the mail though, so all I have to do is fix the drivers on my TA6 tablet and I should be able to get back to digital penises very soon!
