gonna be going saturday as Bixby (long time no see fursuit i've left in progress for a whole YEAR)
then on sunday i might be running around in my opossum kigurumi, mostly looking at stuff in the dealer's room
i don't have any furry friends IRL but i'd love to meet people and have a fun first-time fursuiting!
if any of my watchers are going i'd love to know and possibly say hi!
promise i'm not intimidating, i'm only 5'1" for darn sake ୧(•̀ ◊ •́ )

FA has been pretty quiet and lay-low for this month it seems, not a lot of people fav'ing and even less commenting
not even on my own work, a lot of artists are having dry spells too i've noticed ',:1
so I decided to come out of my shell and start making posts more active
i usually don't comment because i never thought i could give an artist enough substance to work with, but as an artist myself, i know how much it means to receive a comment on art you put a lot of time into or are just proud of
sometimes what people say or their feedback will make my entire day
so from now on i'm going to try and show more appreciation for people's hard work in comment form!!

Posted 8 years ago(TLDR;) I don't plan on taking any orders for the rest of the year unless in emergency, since I have a lot of projects and responsibilities to tend to in the near future!!
(RAMBLE AHEAD)
to start this off: new pets!
I've been planning on getting rats since about 3 months ago, so i've been doing research on owning them as pets ever since, gathered supplies and commodities as of recently, and i've finally found a friendly resource around my area that can possibly provide me two boys
I'll be posting pictures in case anyone shares love for rats, once I own them <3
I'm also being given mossy frogs to rehome and care for by a friend, which is pretty coincidental given i've always wanted to own a pet frog/toad but never got around to completely committing to it
feels like i'll be accumulating a little zoo `w`"
projects for the future include working on cosplay and fursuits for cons! so far I have:
opossum kigurumi for December
ValRavn cosplay for January
Popplio gijinka for February
my Bixby fursuit for April
[possibly a local con somewhere in the midst]
all of the conventions mean i'll be putting a lot of time and effort into costume making, and i'll probably be posting work progress, plans, etc. to my Twitter as always - the further along i am
I also plan on moving house sometime next spring? really, really hoping it'll be possible by then, anyway
basically, for now, i'm trying not to get myself overwhelmed just planning all of these future events, but I hope to open a few commission slots on new years if i have the time and motivation for it!! i can't predict the future of course
ending this journal with a ton of appreciation, especially toward all of the kind patient customers i've gotten to work with so far with my artwork, it makes me so happy my passion in creativity sees the respect you people give it <3

I was invited out of town with friends for a few days and, unexpectedly, it led to me deciding to stay over the entire month of October!
we have a lot planned since this is my favorite month and they are busy people

I'm honestly stoked they invited me, but it'll be tough as I'm not a car-trip person (ironically that's most of my life)
I'm happy I was able to be really busy for May until now...
I do hope I'm able to draw on the road or in intervals, but I can't be sure until it's happening, either way it'll definitely be a long while before I post anything (I think) and I plan on taking commissions again next month - it'll be ICON TIME
so starting this weekend, I'll be gone for about a full week, and then back to it in June <3

it's a sad realization, so I won't even attempt at guessing when my commissions will be open next! It'll be more of a spur of the moment, unfortunately that really throws off anyone who'd ever like me to have a schedule
life's been dealing me some lemons and I've been trying my best to make lemonade, but when you just want some soft drink, lemonade starts getting very tasteless very fast
I will announce that I have a convention I plan on going to at the end of the month, and that's what's been taking up my free time
a small local one of course, I wish I had the money for a Furcon or something (the dream)

but we can all hope 2017 brings much better tides to our shores (personal and public)
seven is a lucky number anyway!
these are a few of my note-to-selfs, dunno if I'd call them resolutions :>
- make more adopts
- train myself to get art done for people better, faster (stronger)
- way less characters this year, focus on current ones
- craft more, work toward fursuiting
- practice animating
- possibly look into legit game making/coding
- remember things better!!

Posted 9 years agoI wanna make memes and animate all the time, I love practicing my animation
but I don't have good programs or know any tutorials that involve animating along WITH audio because I suck at timing and need audio to play at the same time to get a good idea of when to frame stuff
I also need to finish things... like refs, god I have so many WIP things I need to get done :<
but enough of my ranting!

Lost a family member
Posted 9 years agoi don't like bringing upsetting subjects up, but i'd rather be honest with you all and let you know... where i've been and how i've been
july has been pretty rough on me so far, so i hope it's been going better for you guys
not sure if i'm settled in enough with this account to be completely open with myself (on FA), or if it'd make things awkward, i don't want to bring that on my watchers or rant about my feelings (at least not yet)
i also hope you all had a good 4th!
just letting you know, as well, that i'll be realllly busy this entire month
so i'll be absent and most likely not post anything(?) until august
