Posted 17 years agoits been a long time.. and i apologize.
i don't know where to begin this entry, because i don't know how to phrase all i want to say right now.
Im not in the clearest of mindsets. but mere half hour ago my boss called me and i got let go because of the failing economy. and this all happens one day before my birthday.
i am 28 tomorrow.. I was supposed to go to work and smile and do yoga and feel good. now.. i just don't know how to feel right now..
this was all supposed to be an entry about how my hours were cut back severely, how i couldn't complete commissions because of some ongoing personal health problems, but now i cannot even issue any refunds at the time because i no longer have a place of employment..
to everyone that was and is waiting.. i am sorry.
please if you wish to discuss things privately email me. I cannot issue refunds right now as i stated above, but i hope something can be worked out...

Posted 17 years agoSometime between 1-2 weeks from now and 2nd week of July I will be moving. The Landlord decided to put a house on the market and he has a more then possible buyer. (again -_-;; *eyeroll and sighs*) As the date I am heading out of this house (AGAIN SAD FASE DX<) and the date that I will be moving into to new one which.. house wise; has yet to be determined (even moar eyeroll and groan) is unknown as of this time. This translates as commission and artwork downtime for me. I have my laptop now but again, I lack both time because everything that isn’t being used is already being put into boxes, as well as house hunting. More information as I receive it .
Pray for meh. :/

Posted 17 years agoI now work as a part time Graphic designer for East West books in Manhattan. :)
The perks of the job are amazing! my own hours (well most of the time) my own cubicle and graphics machine.
I still cannot believe this dream has finally come true. I will now have a steady paycheck, and a job i will not be depressed to go to each day, for I am living my dream. :)

Also I haven't forgotten about those that have commissions with me. :) With this new venture my time to work will be even less, due to a near 2 hour commute in both directions plus an 8 hour day- but I will get all the owed art to everyone in a timely manner as best I can. and as always- thank you for understanding.

Theirs an item i want as recently I have been getting back into my crystal/stone healing (yes nar is a hippy tree huggin new age PAYGAN. :P) and this REALLY caught my eyes!

Posted 17 years agoI figured since not everyone follows my LiveJournal this a good a place to update.
I've been extremely busy off line and am now seeding the growth of a potential professional graphics careerer. This has been a dream of mine for many many years since I left college.
But I digress. Last 2-3 weeks I had alot thrown at me from real life. A potential huge clientel on a store on 5th ave in NYC wanted to see my graphics portfolio and now, I am the proud recipient of some freelance graphic work. Also a few of the store employees have/are having me making them their business cards.
But For those that have commissions with me-
I know originally I had estimated alot to be done by feb's end and sadly because of real life I am a bit behind in my works. Fear not, as I will ultimately make it worth your wait and the money you paid into the art.

ok well so what happened.
a long story that i will make short. at first i thought my monitor shit itself. (which in the end it did LOLIRONY) with several misdiagnoiseses we (me and 2 other friends) believed it to be the powersource. well so i go to buy a new one. pop it in. stil the same problem DX so i return the new powersource, get my 30 back. pop the old one in. GUESS WHAT DOSENT WANT TO START UP DX ASFDSDFBBQWTF FUCKER.
soooo. A friend helped me out with giving me a temp box to work on. I go to plug the monitor into this one. GUESS WHAT DONT WORK? -_- I had to take Melchior to a local center where I had to buy a new case and powersource (i hate th fact that i am operating on a lower voltage, this worries me so..) so there was 100 bucks well not spent DX
New box. (smaller.. eeh. i am dreading to see the cooling issues on this not so cheap POS)
BUT enough negativity.
I have so many awesome friends to thank for helping me get back online. So many to list <3 you know whom you all are, and you have my thanks <3
and with that i spend this weekend playing catchup on FA, DA and every other place out there <3

Nar's monitor up and shat itself, and as many of you know, commissions are my mainstay for income. Without a working monitor, I'm unable to complete them. My apologies to the commissioners that I have waiting; I hate asking this of friends and passersby, but if anyone would be willing to help, I'm basically down to my last dollar and can't afford a new monitor. Unfortunately, I don't have a back up monitor either. Tomorrow I'm going to go around and look for something really cheap.
Long story short, I'm basically asking for donations/help at the moment. My paypal is nigimitama (at) gmail (dot) com. As always, donations/help will be repaid with art and/or any other way possible. Sincere thanks from the bottom of my heart, and apologies for this unfortunate disruption.
ovirginsaint will be checking up on this journal and letting me know of any responses posted. So if there are any messages that anybody needs to get to me, they will eventually. Those of you who have my cell number, please call me, as this will be the only way to reach me until this matter is fixed.

Sadly the last half of this year was spent struggling. :/ (fuck you job market)
so i missed out on my chance to get a dealers table at FWA.
BUT i have had awesome offerers form people to share their dealers table with me <3 and truth be told i can REALLY use the money that the con produces (i have noticed smaller cons i make more of a profit)
SO- since my offers for FC badges failed like a blaze of burnt out glory. (T_T) I offer you thus-
I will be taking Traditional medium (aka watercolour/Gouache/coloured pencil OR MARKER) badges for 30 bucks!
OR you can have a digital badge. FLAT RATES PEOPLE!
I have enough for the hotel, but my problem is the airfare. I found one flight form LGA to ATL for 89 bucks, but going home is going to be about 140. SO-
All Badges pre ordered can be picked up at the con!
