Woo Bowl # 20 - January 20th, 2018 7-9pm
Posted 7 years agoThis is it! The big 2-0! And it's on the 20th, too, what are the odds?
The bowl will take place Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such.
When you arrive check in at lanes 19-20 with either Cane (my suit sib) ,Valley Shepherd (look for a lady with a baseball hat, huge headphones and a sheppy tail) or myself most likely as Nisha wearing a Subaru Ambassador jacket.
Because it's the big 2-0 there will be a cake!
The headless lounge has moved, again! We have access to a huge room past the laser arena to use as our headless lounge/hangout space. There are a couple of outlets so if people want to bring large fans to cool suiters/dry heads it would be appreciated. Valley will be happy to take you on a grand tour there.
*NEW* The laser tag arena is open! The rate if 3 or more people join a session is $10 a person for 4 sessions of tag. We will also have lanes 19 and 20 for bowling as always.
*PRICING* $10 for 2 hours unlimited bowling plus shoes, $5 attending. If you're playing laser tag you don't pay us, there's a separate cashier in the laser arena. We can take cash at the event or Paypal. If you are bowling, eating/drinking or whatever be sure you bring enough money to cover whatever you are doing that evening.
*SUITERS* Fursuiting is allowed and welcomed! We can use our party room to suit up, go headless and such. If you are bowling in suit no feetpaws are allowed on the lanes, and absolutely no furry gear (feet/handpaws, tails, suits, etc) in the laser tag arena. While in suit be respectful of boundaries, especially around children. This is a family fun center.
The group photo will be taken right at 900 to allow people to finish their games and then desuit. Post bowl dinner will be the Windtiki Chinese/Polynesian restaurant also on Thompson Rd. (To get there, take a left out of the parking lot and drive a little less than a mile up the road. The restaurant is past the first set of traffic lights you see, and immediately past a Mobil station, on the right.) If we choose to do laser tag this dinner plan may be scrapped due to time and other options may need to be considered, depending on how late the sessions run.
Can't wait to see you all there!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Posted 7 years agoJust in case I get swept up in festivities over the next couple days or so I wanted to take the time to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I'm actually headed out to see my family later today, and then
will be coming up and joining us tomorrow. After that goodness knows, I'm off work till Jan 3rd (haven't had a vacation like this in 7 years!)
If for any reason you are having a difficult time because of the holiday season please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I know not everyone has fond memories around this time of year or struggles to be around family members. If this is you drop me a note either on here or on telegram and I'l make myself available to you.

When you arrive check in at lanes 19-20 with either Cane (my suit sib) ,Valley Shepherd (look for a lady with a baseball hat, huge headphones and a sheppy tail) or myself most likely as Nisha wearing a Subaru Ambassador jacket.
As per tradition, it's our annual Holiday Bowl! Come dressed up in your holiday finest, orGrinchiest if that suits (ha) you better. Also, we will be doing a toy drive! Bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at either $5 (if you're coming to hang out) or $10 (if you're bowling) and get your entry fee comped. Toys collected will be donated to Toys for Tots.
The headless lounge has moved, again! We have access to a huge room past the laser arena to use as our headless lounge/hangout space. Posted 8 years agoLast minute so it's gonna be short and sweet - like me!
Will I be there? Yes
Hugs are fine-but don't hug too hard or you'll make me squeak!
Photos are so very yes - if you take any make sure to read my badge tag so I get tagged on twitter and can find them later!
Fly in Thursday afternoon, fly out Monday afternoon (Think they'll notice if I'm hiding in the check on bags?)
Staying at the Hilton
Please do not cling or hover.... I will tell you to go away (by squeaking LOUDLY and ANGERY-LIKE)
I might be a little quiet and at my boy's side a lot this weekend...feel free to gently poke me (or I'll squeak!) to get my attention
If I'm really loud and acting weird, chances are I'm drunk (and if we learned anything from Furpoc that is very likely)
Totally taken, no you can't has
And most of all just hoping to have a good time

Posted 8 years agoHey guys, I have been waiting patiently for this for a while and Clip Studio (formerly Manga Studio) is on sale this weekend for 50% off.
Many tout it for smoother, easier lineart, and I can see why. I purchased the full copy for myself and I'm noticing a difference in my linework that i wasn't getting before.
You can get the Pro version on their website for $25 from now through Wednesday here: http://www.clipstudio.net/en

As per tradition, it's Thanksgiving weekend! We will be hosting a food drive that night. Bring nonperisable food items or new toiletries to donate at the bowl and your entrance fee will be comped! Donations will go to the Worcester County Food Bank/ Abby's House! Unfortunately if you choose to play laser tag you'll still have to pay them for that, I don't currently get a deal for the laser arena.

Furpoc Recap! Plus Extra Life!
Posted 8 years agoTwo part journal yet again!
First part, con recap! Furpoc was a blast as it usually is, especially since it marks 3 years I've been with my amazing man Blade! Sure it had quite a few hiccups and a few things made it seem deader than last year's, but I didn't let that stop me from having a good time.
To briefly recap:
*Checked in Thursday night, hung out with the roomies, stood in line at reg for almost 2 hours as Nisha!Rick which was fun (the cosplay part, not Linecon)
*Discovered I do really have the strongest (or second strongest) liver in the galaxy several times this weekend. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I got that tanked. Sure, it helped me play the part but when reaching for cards during a room party makes your head spin oh hoho that was bad.
*My cosplay was a hit and a blast to run around in, I barely fullsuited at all the whole weekend, just stayed in partial.
*Tried out for the dance comp Friday, didn't make the cut.....or so I thought, come Saturday, after running around in fullsuit for a few hours. Headed back to the room, a fellow dancer stopped me and asked wtf I was doin, showed me the dance comp roster and PLOT TWIST I was the 8th performer. I guess I never got called back about somebody dropping?idk. Anyway I danced Saturday and while I didn't place the crowd and I had a great time
*I BROKE A JUDGE and it was awesome
*"Pickle RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK"
*Got to be a poster child for Hyena Agenda after buying a shirt which was p cool
*Hosted not one but two Drunken CAH parties which had over 10 people each time and they were amazing groups
*Joined a dance circle Friday night with suit mama and like 30 something people and I attempted to break dance and either failed or won not sure, all i know is I spun on my shoulders lol
*Made some cash on the side selling Fuzzy Feelings products at a table run by a good friend - more than I expected to make myself
*Chinese dinner run Sunday night with really good people
Over all a pretty good year! Next con for me is looking like ANE next year!
Now for the second part - I'm doing Extra Life this year! I've joined Furs For Life and will be playing games all this weekend to help sick kids, and I'll be streaming some of what I play, or I'll be joining my good friend Shane and streaming at his house!
Help us help kids by donating here https://www.extra-life.org/index.cf.....pantID=263702# There's art in it for you if you do, as well as a chance to win art not just from me but a bunch of other amazing artists! Help us hit our goal!

Woo Bowl #17 - October 20, 2017!
Posted 8 years agoThe bowl will take place October 20, 2017 at 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such.
When you arrive check in at lanes 19-20 with either Cane (my suit sib) ,Valley Shepherd (look for a lady with a baseball hat, huge headphones and a sheppy tail) or myself (in a new cosplay I plan to debut at the meet and the NH bowl!)
This bowl is going to serve two purposes. One, it's a Halloween Bowl! Feel free to join us in any costumes or Halloween attire you may have. Fursuits of course are welcome and feel free to give them a costume as well (I know I will!)
Two, as it's a furbowl before Furpocalypse, this is a good chance for furs new and old to swap contact info with folks headed to the con. If it's your first time going to a con it never hurts to make plans to meet up with folks there at the con. I did this before FurFright '13 and let me tell you, it was comforting to know I had somebody to hang out with in a new big(ish) place.
*PRICING* $10 for 3 hours unlimited bowling plus shoes, $5 attending. If you're playing laser tag you don't pay us, there's a separate cashier in the laser arena.

Visit www.massfurcon.com for more info.
Woo Bowl #16
The bowl will take place September 22 at 6-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such.
I will be unable to make this bowl due to the aforementioned MFC, so when you arrive check in at lanes 19-20 with either Cane (my suit sib) or Valley Shepherd (look for a lady with a baseball hat, huge headphones and a sheppy tail)
*PRICING* $10 for 3 hours unlimited bowling plus shoes, $5 attending. If you're playing laser tag you don't pay us, there's a separate cashier in the laser arena.
Redbubble
Finally, I've opened up a Redbubble store! This was something I've toyed with doing for a while now and while there isn't much up there yet, there will be so give it a follow and support my work!

There, if you made it through all that you deserve a coffee.
MFC!
First and foremost, I will be at MFC on Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 4-11pm! This is an excellent one-day event for charity, and the con theme is fantasy/medieval! I am event staff (Dealer Director) there so I'll be running around like a headless chicken most of the day haha, gotta make sure folks are having a great time! If you like Game of Thrones/Ren faires or just want to come out for a day to support a few good causes I encourage you to come on by! Registration is still open but your time is limited! On the Subject Of: Copying
Posted 8 years agoSomething that happened this morning has prompted this.
Never, ever assume you can copy another artist's work, even if its "just to learn". Many artists have a disclaimer that their work is not to be copied, traced, or referenced, for any reason. If they ask you not to use their work, respect that.
"Don't you want to learn from the masters?"
Is....is that supposed to be a compliment? I'm no master, I don't claim to be one, and I don't know any artists who openly say they are a master. We're all still learning, we're all still improving. No one is a "master".
"Oh, I won't post it."
If I had a dime every time I heard that I could get all my sonas made into suits by top end makers. No matter how much you say it won't end up online, it will. And in this fandom - the art community as a whole, really - people can be pretty nasty when they find their work has been used. You will get caught, you will get shamed, and I can guarantee you'll never pick up a pencil again because you've been so embarrassed by the ordeal you'll be unsure if you want to even try drawing.
Bottom line: don't do it. Just don't.
What can you do? Do some Google-Fu. While there's plenty of artists that say "don't", there's plenty of others who have created tutorials for you to use, many of which feature how to draw parts you may be struggling. Not sure about here on FA but a few clicks around on deviantART will point you toward loads of tutorials about anything you can imagine.
If that's not your thing or you're trying to better your anatomy/structures there's loads of websites to use. A few of my personal favorites:
http://www.akelataka.com/tutorials.php - These are pretty dated but still relevant tutorials. It says Photoshop but any program that works with layers may be fine.
https://www.quickposes.com/en/gestures/timed - This is my favorite thing. It throws poses at you, and you only have a limited amount of time to sketch. This is great if you have a character in mine but can't decide on a pose. You could quickly sketch four or five poses and pick the ones you want to flesh out more.
https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/ - More gesture drawing, but instead of focusing on human bodies as a whole it also includes animals, hands (my personal weakness....) and expressions. Once again, these are quick sketches that can be fleshed out later.
And a final thought, as sent to me by a close friend: https://theartistsjd.com/trace-source-imagery/

*I'm not in the dance comp this time around, sorry
If I forget anything else I'll add it. See you there!

Commissions are Closed!
Posted 8 years agoI had a few people asking me both online and in person if I'm open for any work.
I'm tentatively closing all commissions from today until July 6 due to Anthrocon and vacation stuff. I'll reopen on July 7th once I've gotten my bearings again.
Thank you guys for understanding!

Anthrocon Meme-a-Leem
Posted 8 years agoStolen from-I mean borrowed ever so nicely from
Where are you staying?
The Omni!
What day are you getting there?
Wednesday afternoon!
How are you traveling?
Driving with
and Kiba , with
and
tailing us. Beep beep furry caravan!(furavan?)
Who will you be rooming with?
and Kiba (the last two for just Wednesday night me thinks)
How is the best way to find you?
Tiny blue floofy mom thing with a towering harlequin wolf! Seriously we are never too far apart!
Are there any panels you might be attending?
At least Story Hour and I may stop in on Pearl's Angel Dragon meetup, for sure
What do you look like?
Small chub lady with brown curly hair
Will you be suiting?
If I'm not sleeping I'll be suiting!
Do you do free art?
Not unless you're a really close friend, gotten used too many times in the past
Do you do trades?
Catch me in the zoo/around the con and we'll do a sketchbook trade!
Do you do badges?
I don't have an artist table but I will have business cards with me, so if you want a badge after the con we can keep in touch!
What is your gender?
Lady thing
How tall are you?
5'3" with shoes and calcium on a good day
Can I talk to you?
Of course you can!
Can I touch you?
Hive fives and hugs are okay if I see you first, no scritches as it damages my fur...and anything more than a hug will get you a very tall and angry wolf breathing down your neck
Can I visit your room?
It has to be okay with all of our roommates first. We're planning a quiet, no party space so please respect that
Can I buy you drinks?
Drinks will help me stay sane so YAS
Can I give you stuff?
Sure, I don't know why you wanna but okay...?
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
See above about touching. You really don't wanna make Blade angry
Are you nice? Yes, contrary to popular belief :3
How long are you going?
Wednesday through Monday
Do you have an artist table?
Not this year but there's always next year, right?
Will you be going to parties?
That's a secret
Will you be performing?
I may watch but I'm too nervous/not good enough to get on that stage
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
"Nishaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" "Blue Floof!" "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM" usually works
Where will you be most of the time during the day/s?
Checking out the con floor and seeing people I haven't seen at the con in about 2 years(!)
What/where will you be eating?
Delivery or home brought stuff, we may venture out once or twice
Can I come with you for food/fun/etc?
If me or the roomies invite you
Can I take your picture?
If I'm in fursuit, sure! Just ask first (and make sure to show me later!)
What's your goal(s) for the con this year?
I wanna have a blast! A fun, drama free con!
Edited to add: The Thursday the con starts will be my 29th birthday so I'm kind of excited and geeking out that I finally get a birthday con lol

Cost is $10/person to bowl and includes shoes. Bowling is unlimited games for 2 hours and is candlepin (small balls, 3 balls a frame). If you're not bowling and just wanna hang out it's $5 to offset the cost of using our headless lounge space. If you are bowling in suit no feetpaws on the lanes! It's the bossman's rule, let's honor that. If you plan on drinking go see Bossman and get a wrist band before you suit up. When you arrive find me and sign in to the logbook and pay (I'll have Nisha's tail on). Make sure you bring enough money for bowling, eating, drinking, and such. There is an ATM on site but not everyone has change on them.
*NEW* The laser tag arena has finished being built and it looks like the site is offering $15 unlimited games on certain nights. The way this seems to work is at the start of the night (after 5 pm) you pay $15 to the staff (the price of a normal 4 game session). After each session you can go to the front desk and ask to be placed in the next session, as many times as you'd like as time in the evening permits. If enough people want to do this I can see about making a reservation to do laser tag instead of bowling, and I will create a different journal instead. It goes without saying but no suits or suit parts will be permitted in laser tag sessions for safety reasons. The website is here =https://www.xtremelazer.com/#the-kitchen

The group photo will be taken right at 900 to allow people to finish their games and then desuit. Post bowl dinner will be the Windtiki Chinese/Polynesian restaurant also on Thompson Rd. (To get there, take a left out of the parking lot and drive a little less than a mile up the road. The restaurant is past the first set of traffic lights you see, and immediately past a Mobil station, on the right.) If we choose to do laser tag this dinner plan may be scrapped due to time.
Can't wait to see everyone there!
About Mistakes and Regrets...
Posted 8 years agoA thought I had last night talking to a friend to help them calm down and relax.
Too often we say "I wish I could go back and fix X" or " I wish I hadn't met/done/X". We want to go back and fix mistakes we made, put right all the wrong we've done.
But stop and think. Think about the things you've done since that thing happened. What you learned. Who you met. All those things happened because of one thing. If it hadn't happened, would you still have the same outcome? If you really did go back in time and stop yourself from doing/going/seeing X, what would happen to everything that happened as a result? Poof. Gone. Maybe the outcome would be different, sure, but would it really be the one you wanted?
Everything in life happens for a reason. People change, drift apart, point fingers. Accidents happen. Disasters happen.Nothing ever happens because some higher power said "Eh, I just wanna mess around with this guy for a bit".
It isn't about the problems and challenges you face.
It's about how you overcome them, learn from them, and get stronger from them.
Don't go back and try to fix mistakes, and don't try to prevent more from happening. There's really no such thing as a "mistake" if you look at it as just another thing that helps you become you.
Just some thoughts from Floof Mom.

KamiKaze Con on Saturday!
Posted 8 years agoSo I volunteered as tribute (read: talked myself into) to go with an artist friend for the day to KamiKaze Con over in Manchester, NH. Right now waffling between trying to fullsuit as Nisha or drag my N Harmonia cosplay out of hiding for the first time in about 5 years.
Which should I dooooooooooooooooo
And are any of you guys thinking of going?

THE BIG STUFF
Wacom Graphire II Tablet - My very first tablet. Got this in 2004 and used it right up until 2012. When I used it I was using a machine with Windows XP SP3 on it. I can't honestly tell you whether it will work on your system. Last I used it it worked fine. You'll get the tablet and the original stylus. This model also had a mouse but that seems to have been lost. I also don't have the original CDs for this. I'll look at any reasonable offer https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B.....GxvMWhCRExpRE0
Furoticon Collection - This is a huge bundle perfect for anyone really interested in playing the game. I picked up most of it at FF '14, when I entered a tournament they had there. Some of the cards are sleeved, this was the deck I had used in the tournament. The bundle includes a sleeved homebrew deck, several booster cards, a full art promo, all 3 Brundali Rail Heist theme decks, 3rd Vanilla Strawberry "Graduates and Gangbangs" 4 player deck box, dice and counters, and a playmat. There's easily $100 worth of merchandise here, maybe more.
THIS GAME IS FOR 18+ ONLY. It's basically a card game porno lol. I will not sell this to a minor. Again, looking at any and all reasonable offers for this https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B.....VVTSENKU0ZpRGM
If anything catches your fancy let me know! I am willing to hold things for interested folks! If you have any questions about shipping let me know below! And if you can spread the word I'd really appreciate it!
Thank you!

Woo Bowl #12 - Mar. 24 2017 7-9PM
Posted 8 years agoThe bowl will take place March 24 at it's *NEW TIME* 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such.
The headless lounge has moved! We have access to a small party room in the back of the game room to use as our headless lounge/hangout space. There are a couple of outlets so if people want to bring large fans to cool suiters/dry heads it would be appreciated. It's down a small hallway past the basketball games.
The group photo will be taken right at 900 to allow people to finish their games and then desuit. Post bowl dinner will be the Windtiki Chinese/Polynesian restaurant also on Thompson Rd. (To get there, take a left out of the parking lot and drive a little less than a mile up the road. The restaurant is past the first set of traffic lights you see, and immediately past a Mobil station, on the right.)
Can't wait to see everyone there!

Personal Life Update
Posted 8 years agoHey guys, sorry I've been so quiet all week. I needed to step away from this place and just be an observer. Facebook has become so toxic lately that words can get twisted to work against you, and nothing you do can convince others you're telling the truth.
Add to that my anxiety has become unmanageable alone. Several times in the last week I've suffered panic attacks so severe I found myself waking in the night with a tight chest and being unable to breathe. I've started medical help with some medication and I'm currently looking for a therapist my insurance will cover so I can get back to living my life without feeling like people want to kill me.
Coming to these decisions has not been easy. The road is not going to just be rocky but probably craggy. I'm going to need people's support, or give me my space when I need it. Now more than ever I need to know who is going to be a rock I can depend on, so I can start weeding out the fair weather friends I may have here.
Will I ever be the bouncy Floof thing I used to be? I dont know. I feel like that, along with so many other things, has been ripped away from me.
Thank you all for your patience.
