Woo Bowl #11 - Feb. 24th, 2017
Posted 8 years agoI know the Cape Bowl dance is the same weekend but I wanted to offer an option for those who either a) can't afford to go to the Cape or b) live too far from it.
The bowl will take place February 24 at it's *NEW TIME* 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such.
The headless lounge has moved! We have access to a small party room in the back of the game room to use as our headless lounge/hangout space. There are a couple of outlets so if people want to bring large fans to cool suiters/dry heads it would be appreciated.
Cost is $10/person to bowl and includes shoes. Bowling is unlimited games for 2 hours and is candlepin (small balls, 3 balls a frame). If you're not bowling and just wanna hang out it's $5 to offset the cost of using our headless lounge space. If you are bowling in suit no feetpaws on the lanes! It's the bossman's rule, let's honor that. If you plan on drinking go see Bossman and get a wrist band before you suit up. When you arrive find me and sign in to the logbook and pay (I'll have Nisha's tail on).
The group photo will be taken right at 900 to allow people to finish their games and then desuit. Post bowl dinner will be the Windtiki Chinese/Polynesian restaurant also on Thompson Rd. (To get there, take a left out of the parking lot and drive a little less than a mile up the road. The restaurant is past the first set of traffic lights you see, and immediately past a Mobil station, on the right.)

So this bowl is going to be a special one. Not only is it the 10th bowl, but it is also the birthday of my right hand man and suit sibling Cane. As such, there will be cake. Sweet, moist, delicious cake (that is not a lie)

*IMPORTANT* Cane had told me work has begun on converting the bar area we had been using as our headless lounge into 6 10 pin (big ball lanes). We will be using their party room that night as a headless lounge, please do not bring any suit totes into the bar area. The party room is located closer to the game room and bar.

Post ANE Wrap Up Journal Thingy!
Posted 8 years agoGonna try not to make this tooooooo long as so much win happened so instead of it becoming a TL;DR kinda thing I'll just use bullets
So this past weekend I:
*had the absolute best roommates
and 
AND 
my god I have to room with you all again you were 'mazing
*helped make a killing first time ever as a dealer - and helped secure two tables at two future cons for Blade and I's business!
*was totally drugged up during the 2 am fire alarm Friday night (ok, I had taken melatonin with vitamin C to help me sleep when the most polite fire alarm I'd ever heard sounded)
*discovered what the heck a sticky booger thing was (and couldn't stop laughing at it the entire weekend)
*Made it to dance comp finals, and while I didn't place had an absolute blast and maybe made a few people go awwwwwwww
*Did my first ever lewd photoshoot (and discovered I'm quite dom)
*Spoiled myself and bought my first ever kigu, a Dunkin Donuts themed bat made by
*Made plenty of new friends and got to hang out with a bunch of old but good ones
*Did a Museum of Science trip Monday with Blade and Raya, and met a fur from Ireland there too!
Great weekend, great con, 0 DRAMA. Easily a thousand times better than last year. I'm sad it's over but it's nice to be back to a regular sleep schedule. I missed my bed, lol.
Now begins the hunt for pictures, since I didn't suit much during the day at all and could only do so after dealer's hours were done. If you guys have any pics or vids of me, send 'em my way!

I was sent home from work with a stomach bug today.
I haven't eaten anything all day, have sipped a few things but it runs right through me, us cramps, weakness and headaches. Just now I took my temp and I'm running a fever.
The bowl will be postponed until some time after ANE. I'm very sorry to everyone but I don't want you guys getting sick too.

Woo Bowl # 10 - December 30th, 2016 *LOTS TO READ readmeplz*
Posted 9 years agoI can't believe I've finally hit the double digits with this thing. 10. Never imagined it. Holy....yeah lol.
So this bowl is going to be a special one. Not only is it the 10th bowl, but it is also the birthday of my right hand man and suit sibling Cane. As such, there will be cake. Sweet, moist, delicious cake (that is not a lie)
The bowl will take place December 30 at it's *NEW TIME* 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such.
*IMPORTANT* Cane had told me work has begun on converting the bar area we had been using as our headless lounge into 6 10 pin (big ball lanes). We will be using their party room that night as a headless lounge, please do not bring any suit totes into the bar area. The party room is located closer to the game room and bar.
Cost is $10/person to bowl and includes shoes. Bowling is unlimited games for 2 hours and is candlepin (small balls, 3 balls a frame). If you're not bowling and just wanna hang out it's $5 to offset the cost of using our headless lounge space. If you are bowling in suit no feetpaws on the lanes! It's the bossman's rule, let's honor that. If you plan on drinking go see Bossman and get a wrist band before you suit up. When you arrive find me and sign in to the logbook and pay (I'll have Nisha's tail on).
*Optional* In light of the season I'm organizing a food drive. If you'd like to participate please bring in nonperishable food items equal to what you'd pay to attend or bowl (so if you were just coming to hang out bring $5 worth of food). Your donation will serve as your admission to the bowl (you will not have to pay me again). All food collected will be going to the Worcester County Food Bank.
The group photo will be taken right at 900 to allow people to finish their games and then desuit. Post bowl dinner will be the Windtiki Chinese/Polynesian restaurant also on Thompson Rd. (To get there, take a left out of the parking lot and drive a little less than a mile up the road. The restaurant is past the first set of traffic lights you see, and immediately past a Mobil station, on the right.)
Can't wait to see everyone there!

Would anybody be interested? What would you like to learn how to do?
I'd be using FireAlpaca for them. I have Procaster and Audacity to help me record, and I'd upload them to my Youtube Channel (or possibly make a new channel specifically for them)

Mini Hiatus 11/11-11/15!

I'm ok, and I are joining my parents for a weekend getaway in the Poconos. It's a combo his birthday/our second anniversary/their 30th anniversary kind of thing. It's going to be tons of fun! The super moon is this weekend so I'm hoping we can get a good view of it.
I'll have my sketchbook with me but don't expect any quality uploads here until after I get back. I may post the sketches on my Twitter so go follow me NishaBlueFloof if you haven't already.

Posted 9 years agoFunky date, I know, but this weekend was too soon following a con, Blade and I are going away for our anniversary next weekend, and the end of the month is Thanksgiving and that's family time.
The bowl will take place November 18 at it's *NEW TIME* 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. I pushed back the time by an hour to account for rush hour traffic from Worcester, Boston, the Pike, and such (I was a half hour late to my own meet last month). I didn't want to run it from 7-10 as our usual post bowl hangout for dinner, WindTiki, closes its kitchen at 11 and many furs have a long drive home.
Cost is $10/person to bowl and includes shoes. Bowling is unlimited games for 2 hours and is candlepin (small balls, 3 balls a frame). If you're not bowling and just wanna hang out it's $5 to offset the cost of using our headless lounge space (currently the large unused bar/restaurant but I've been told there are plans to turn that into laser tag so we will lose that space. Bossman has said we will have access to a party room in the future). If you are bowling in suit no feetpaws on the lanes! It's the bossman's rule, let's honor that. If you plan on drinking go see Bossman and get a wrist band before you suit up. When you arrive find me and sign in to the logbook and pay (I'll have Nisha's tail on).

Furpoc 2016 Recap!

Good con was good! Was great to see old friends, make new friends, rekindle some lost friendships. Tried my hand at the dance comp and for the first time I didn't make the cut. I'm taking it in stride though, I really wasn't feeling my song like I thought I was and forgot my steps halfway through my tryouts. Congrats to all who made the cut and the winners!
Fed my wyrm addiction pretty much daily, lol. Was worth it when I pulled an alpha female gem hunter on Saturday. Gorgeous girl, I'll say. Still working on an alpha bitch name.
Won't lie, though....something seemed off about this con. Don't get me wrong, I had fun like I always do. But I don't have even an inkling of PCD. I dunno...I've never seen a con clear out on Sunday as quick as this one. It was like once 4 hit, there was no one around. Even closing ceremonies had nobody.
But hey, there's next year.
Anyhow, good con, good people, new Nisha got lots of attention and I may have made some people's day on Sunday running around with a Hit Clips player.

3 years ago when I first got my Nisha fullsuit, I had first found out about the Auburn furbowl and took it there. I was shy, didn't know anybody. There were maybe 7 people there. But they were friendly and welcoming. A week later at the now defunct FurFright con, I had people I could seek out and make plans with. I had people I knew. For a first time furcon, I had a blast between meeting new people and that comfort zone of old friends.
This year, I've had a few new furs find my bowl. Most of them are going to Furpoc for the very first time. I want to use the bowl as a chance for people to swap Twitter handles, Telegram handles, phone numbers, smoke signals, etc. before a con. I remember what it felt like to not know anybody. Momma takes care of her little kidlets, lol.
The bowl will take place Oct 21 at it's *NEW TIME* 7-9pm at Mohegan Bowl in Webster MA. Remember, it's been moved to a new venue! The new venue is the Mohegan Bowl at 51 Thompson Road in Webster Mass. This location is candlepin (aka small balls). The Bowl will be Friday, September 23rd from 6-9 PM.
$10 to bowl, which includes shoes, for 3 hours of unlimited bowling (that's like $3, a game ;p). $5 cover charge if you're not bowling. No feetpaws on lanes! The owner doesn't want us falling (and suing). If you bowl, make sure you get shoes. Your bowling cost includes the shoes, just go to the counter and say you're with the group.
Now...the best part about this: we have a MASSIVE area to use as a headless lounge. There's a restaurant/bar attached to the alley that hasn't been used in some time. The owner has agreed to let us use that as our headless lounge and he will put down tables and chairs for people to use for games and hanging out, to keep foot traffic by the lanes clear. We'll have access to five lanes closest to this area, and there are bathrooms directly next to the bar as well. All he asks is if you use the space to hang out you get a snack and drink. They have everything from chicken fingers and fries, popcorn, pizza, pretzels, slushies, soda, and a variety of brews on tap. I'm thrilled we get to have such a large space for hanging out so I ask you please be courteous and clean up after yourselves in there (no fur tumbleweeds n stuff). There's also a large game room (a la the Cape Bowl's) with redemption area.
When you arrive remember to find me to check in and pay, and fill out our log book. I'll be wearing my Nisha tail so I should be easy to spot.
After the bowl there's a number of food options in the area, a number of them fast food. Last bowl two groups went out, one to Mexicali grill and the other to Wind Tiki for Chinese. Both are very good and decently priced. I haven't decided which will be the "official" spot post bowl, but if a group is planning to go calling ahead is reccommended.
This is a very popular site for families, so be respectful and watch your boundaries. If you are suiting, let them approach you to interact. Don't go hounding them (no pun intended, honest!). The manager and staff loved us last time, let's keep our new home!

After the bowl there's a number of food options in the area, a number of them fast food. Last bowl two groups went out, one to Mexicali grill and the other to Wind Tiki for Chinese. Both are very good and decently priced. I haven't decided which will be the "official" spot post bowl, but if a group is planning to go calling ahead is reccommended.
This is a very popular site for families, so be respectful and watch your boundaries. If you are suiting, let them approach you to interact. Don't go hounding them (no pun intended, honest!). The manager and staff loved us last time, let's keep our new home!

Remember, it's been moved to a new venue! The new venue is the Mohegan Bowl at 51 Thompson Road in Webster Mass. This location is candlepin (aka small balls). The Bowl will be Friday, July 22, from 6-9 PM.
$10 to bowl, which includes shoes, for 3 hours of unlimited bowling (that's like $3, a game ;p). $5 cover charge if you're not bowling. No feetpaws on lanes! The owner doesn't want us falling (and suing). If you bowl, make sure you get shoes. Your bowling cost includes the shoes, just go to the counter and say you're with the group.
Now...the best part about this: we have a MASSIVE area to use as a headless lounge. There's a restaurant/bar attached to the alley that hasn't been used in some time. The owner has agreed to let us use that as our headless lounge and he will put down tables and chairs for people to use for games and hanging out, to keep foot traffic by the lanes clear. We'll have access to five lanes closest to this area, and there are bathrooms directly next to the bar as well. All he asks is if you use the space to hang out you get a snack and drink. They have everything from chicken fingers and fries, popcorn, pizza, pretzels, slushies, soda, and a variety of brews on tap. I'm thrilled we get to have such a large space for hanging out so I ask you please be courteous and clean up after yourselves in there (no fur tumbleweeds n stuff). There's also a large game room (a la the Cape Bowl's) with redemption area.
