I've been very busy this month getting everything ready for the book to be printed~

Some of you may be aware already, but Patreon deleted my account just before the end of last month. This was a real kick in the teeth, because that accounted for half, and sometimes all of, my entire monthly income. But I have set myself back up now! You can find me at:

Goodness knows there are enough reasons to leave twitter right now, and I have finally accrued enough of them to make the jump myself. I say leave; I'll still be there, at least for now, such is my burden as a CoNtEnT cReAtOr, but now I will also be on Mastodon!

I'm very new to mastodon, but I've been lucky to have an old veterain of the place talking me through things. I hope you all have a happy festive period this year and stay safe <3
It's been a busy year and an even busier two months. Full time work has been a success for me, but I still struggle a little with planning my time, leaving very little for myself ;-;
My gift to myself this year will be to stop doing that XD Comic commissions are starting to come in reliably (thank you all SO much for that) so this will hopefully allow me to do a bit for long term planning~ Exciting stuff!

State of the Morg Address

Pretty quiet on the old Journal front these days - it's that new fangled social media, I tells you.
In two weeks I will have been fully self employed for an entire year - I can officialy say that this has been a success! :D Income has been stable and my mental health, while still up and down, is overall much better (not to mention my sleep schedule). Maybe I'll find a moment to commemorate the occasion ;D
But while I'm doing ok, I sure could be doing a whole lot better so its time to push that social media I mentioned!
My adult art Twitter is @NaughtyMorg! It's still pretty small, so all the follows and retweets I can get really help me out~
My regular Twitter is @MagicalMorg! There is less art on here, but this is where you will find the 'real me', so to speak. All my shower thoughts and pictures of my dog :p
And then there is my Patreon! Again, it isn't very large so even if you arn't in a position to join yourself, a boost will really help me out <3 You get the high res comic at $5 a month and for $20 you get a new physical print mailed to you every month!

Have some growth inducing birthday cake - there's a lot of it >:3c
So! This comming January I wont be opening for the usual commissions slots, but I WILL be opening for Comic commissions!
I don't have a price sheet for these; instead pages will be priced between £190 and £300 GBP (about $250 - $400 USD), depending on complexity.
I will be open for 5 pages; you may bid for more than one of these if you wish (maybe don't bid on all 5, though). I will give about a week after January for people to submit a form and after that I will chose which ones to work on. Normally it would be first come, first serve but I'm going to be more selective with comic commissions; I will be favouring coms that have a finished script or that are the most ready to begin work on right away. Comics are difficult to make so I hope you understand ^^ I'm letting yous know ahead of time so that you can prepair if you need to :D

Commissions and Weekly Comic Uploads!

I've kept it rolling as long as I can, but unfortunatly my buffer is finally exhausted and I will now have to begin uploading Seph & Dom weekly, instead of twice a week. Hopefully in the future I will be able to return to two uploads a week, but right now I'm not able to find the time to make it happen.
I'm going to be experimenting with different ways to boost productivity - this month for instance I am taking on double the usual amount of commissions and then taking the whole of the month afterwards to work on comics. Having a longer time to do so uninterupted will, hopefully, help with the flow.
New pages will now go up on Thursdays!
As for those commissions, there are still slots left! :D At the time of writing this there are 8 slots remaining.

Officially Leaving my Taxi Controller Job >83

The 14th of September is my last day of work. After that I'm going to be an artist full time. At. Long. Last.
I've been there for about ten years. It hasn't been quite as soul destroying the past two years after the company changed hands but it was still pretty crappy. I have been in tears in that place on multiple occassions.
I am very grateful to finally be saying goodbye to taxi controlling, and I have you 'orrible lot to thank for it :D Thank you so much!

Another Seph & Dom Chapter Break!

I hope you like cliff hangers ;D We're at another chapter Break for Seph and Dom - uploads will resume on the 25th~ Like I've said previously, this is to help with the workload and maintaining the twice a week upload schedule for as long as I can ^^
You'll possibly have noticed that that commissions have become a regular thing now. I really apriciate everyone who has commissioned me so far over these few months ^^ I'm aiming for 2 weeks/ 2 weeks split for commissions and Seph and Dom work each month. Commissions have been taking a little longer so far but this month, thanks to the use of Google Forms, things have gotten started a lot quicker so thats promising :D
Next month I plan to raise my commission prices a little to help meet demand. This will help me out a lot since I belive I'll be going properly full time by the end of this year for sure. Exciting stuff!

This marks the end of the first chapter and to help with the work load a little I'm going to be pausing uploads on the comic for a week. I'm intending to do this at the end of each chapter so that I can maintain the twice a week upload schedule for as long as possible :) Chapter length is quite inconsistent though so there will be a few of these relativly close together at the start but after the first three the chapters get crazy long so you'll hardly notice.
I'll be uploading this months commission work in the meantime though so things wont be compleatly dark ^^
The cake is not a lie. In these uncertain times it is the only truth you can depend on.

Sometime in May I intend to open again for commission, but this time I'd be accepting (Short) comics. I know some of you have been waiting for that! I havn't made a price sheet yet but it'll be in the range of £100 per page for Cell Shaded and £150 for Blended Shading. I don't want to take on any 20 page monsters at this time though - something more in the 2-7 range.
I'm looking forward to hearing from yous! :D

At long last, the thumbnailing proccess for Seph and Dom is complete! Very soon I will be begining work on the finished pages and once I've built up a buffer I will start to upload them, first to Patreon, then eveywhere else. The front cover will be uploaded before I start of the buffer though so yous can get a little excited >:3
However, I won't be able to start on it imediatly; due to Covid19 I have been furloughed from work, so I'm going to have to open for commission to make up the wage difference. Hopefully that part at least will be good news to some of you ^^ I'm going to open for 5 slots, and then probobly the same every couple of weeks until things are back to normal. I was planning to open for commission again on a more regular basis once the comic was well under way, so this could be a permanent thing; who knows ;)

I'm at 156 page thumbnails now and nearing the end - I'm estimating that the thumbnailing proccess should be finished by the end of this month~ After that I'll be getting right on to producing finished pages - there will be a pause while I build up a small buffer but I recon no more than about an extra month after thumbnailing finishes. Exciting stuff! I've about settled on a name for the new comic but I'll reveal that once I've got a front cover to show you >:3c

Today I have launched a Kickstarter for the printing of Gem & Sarah: Weight Training!

The book will be printed at A5 (210mm x 148mm), Perfect Bound and a 131 pages thick. You can get your very own copy delivered to you, anywhere in the world, for any pledge over £15 (plus shipping).
I got Seph and Dom printed to the same standard a while back and it really is a great looking piece and a wonderful object to have ^^

Seph and Dom work is comming along nicely. The script is finished and I'm 25 pages into the thumbnailing proccess~
My estimate is that I should be finished thumbnailing in about a month and a half, at which point I will begin work on actual pages~ My upload schedule will probobly be once, maybe twice a week rather than every day, but you'll be getting full comic pages rather than panels.
I'm looking forward to getting this out there! >:D It's really good - my best one yet, I hope.
