Posted 12 years agoHello everyone! I've been part of a joint adventure with lizspit and a few other local artists (newly added, betsy!) in creating a "Dorky Dogs" calendar! We have an Indiegogo campaign set up to help us get a bulk printing done of them. Once printed, all sales of the calendar will be going directly to a local animal shelter (Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland). Posted 13 years agoI'm going to be running a special to clear out my stock of plain bristol/illustration board PSCs in preparation for ordering some personalized printed sketch cards. $10 a piece, full color (or muted colors with cool/warm greys). Up to 2 characters per card.
These will be done on 2.5 x 3.5 bristol cards, with a limit of 2 characters per card. I accept paypal for payment. E-mail smkardash[at]gmail.com

What's hot this year?
Posted 14 years agoI've got a table for PortCon again this year, and I'm wondering - what has been really hot this year? Last year I missed out on the Hetalia thing which seemed to be what /everyone/ was interested in. Is there something that's just incredibly, insanely popular this year that may be a good thing to make a print of? Or should I just go the ol' cheesy route and whip up some FFVII/Zelda/Kingdom Hearts prints? Any insight is helpful, thanks.
On another note, I'm in the process of picking up a second job as a life-skills/art/special needs tutor. We will see how that affects my time, and I may be opening up for commissions when this batch is over. (So sorry for those still on the list, work has been crazy along with other personal happenings. I'm hopefully getting back on track now though!)

Posted 15 years agoI've been seeing a lot of Iron Artist things going around, or the 100 sketches challenge or something like that. Would people be interested in $7 sketches (per character) from me? I'm trying to decide if I want to set something like that up. I don't know if I'd get the 100 spots filled or not though. ^^; Anyway, I'm open to thoughts/opinions!
