This years - Album/EP UPDATE 01 - PLEASE READ
Posted 12 years agoSo you've noticed we've not been very active on any of our pages over the last few months or at least not lab5 wise... we are slowly getting things done for the next album and we hope for it to be even better then the last, I'm likeing what we have done so far :D
we hope to release the album in December like we did last year, originally i wanted the release date to be always Halloween since I like that and never get to do anything then but its not how things worked out so we decided to try stick to December for our album/ep releases.
This album/ep should at least have 8 main tracks and some remixes on it like the last album did its the format I'd like to stick to since roy (technomancer.) gets very busy with other projects he's doing with various people and doesn't get as much time to work on our stuff or as often as I'd like but its understandable, as long as it gets done on time/in the end right ? :D its also why updates are slow since I dont have much to report if not much is being done at said time, you can always check out my solo account thats updated more often to fill the gaps if u like XD
that has random tracks and possible future lab5 tracks.
this album will be a remake of our first non official album from 2011 but in our new official style but a little more clubby then it is dark/industrial this time round, it will however still be recognizable as lab5 as we always keep our key elements.
I can not confirm what remixes/bonus content might/will be on it this time around but I can say that their will be 1 new track to replace R35URR3C7 & R3C0NN3C7 since we already officially released that on our first official album/ep last year.
We will be looking for people who are good at making remixes to make some remixes for us too at some point before the release, anyone who does a remix that gets used will be entitled to a free mp3 copy of the album/ep if they want one, I'll write more on that later too.
dam this is one long journal x.x I hope people read it and I hope it makes sense XD
please comment/note me if you have any questions etc thanks.

IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT FUTURE UPLOADS TO THIS ACCOUNT
Posted 13 years agoHello, Laboratory5 fans. Technomancer and Max|Static here.
So far we have been very open about our music and released tracks here on FurAffinity. As much as we've loved it and loved the feedback given to us and all the great people who have enjoyed our work in progress. However, as we are closing to finishing our new EP we realize that there are people out there who steal our music and we cannot ignore that. We want people to hear Lab5 at its best, not unfinished tracks being leaked and hurting our reputation.
Realizing this, we have decided to stop sharing our work in progress tracks on FurAffinity, though visual art and such will still be shared. We will let you know when the EP is out and we'll keep steady updates regarding it, so if you want more Laboratory5, more is coming and we all hope you will enjoy the noise!

Lab5 Bio/History V2.0
Posted 13 years agoLaboratory5 is a collaborative project, though at the core, it is Max|Static's vision and the music builds on his ideas and compositions.
Having always been fascinated with sci-fi and electronic music, MaxStatic has been steadily making music in FL Studio since 2004.
In 2008 he met up with Technomancer. who was working on his debut album De:Harmonized and the two started slowly working together.
The track "Doubts and Visions" on Technomancer's second solo album was a collaboration between the two as Max|Static had written the lyrics and Technomancer composed the melody and produced the track, and in many ways, it can be considered an early Lab5 track as this was how the two would come to work in the future.
After a few minor releases and a few Lab5 remixes on some of Technomancer's solo releases,
in 2011 the duo released the Resurrect & Reconnect EP, which was the project's real debut release.
The 8-track EP contained tracks that were mostly instrumental and the style was largely experimental and a bit different from Technomancer's solo stuff.
As the Lab5 crew are working on their second release, the project is shaping to become even more different from Technomancer and is getting its own sound and unique quality to it. Having recently mixed in dubstep influences with the project's signature industrial cyber image, it is shaping out to be one of the most original, innovative and interesting independent music projects of today.
The project's visual art is largely credited to the American artist Tatchit who lends her talents to bringing a visual aspect to the duo's eclectic music, and the project's mascot is often featured on several of the artworks.
