New Policy
Posted 2 years agoReading up on the latest policy change, it seems to be a major overstep. While they clarify they are not blanket banning any species, there are specific species they are flagging according to many artists just based on the characters natural proportions (i.e. Impmon; impmon, on model, has "childlike" proportions, and it therefor not allowed on FA).
Leaving it to something as vague as moderator discretion and proportions seems an odd choice. Unfortunately it looks like it'll be easier to just follow the artists elsewhere than maintain FA as a central point. Ah well.

Posted 11 years agoSo I don't think any of this will be spoilertastic, but I'll warn you just in case :P
I didn't think it was as good as the original, but it was alright. Also, in case anyone's interested, Hiccup is definitely at least 20- so no debate over his age and removal of art like last time. Maybe some of my favorite artists will draw HTTYD2 again now that they can post it here, like
idrawgayboys; I still love his stuff, but his HTTYD2 pics were what led me to him in the first place- before they were removed because we didn't know Hiccup's age- but now we do! Huzzah! Maybe I'll get off my tail, find some time when I'm not working, and draw some Toothcup to celebrate!

RP or Story?

henin, and I have been running an ongoing RP session for some time, and he mentioned the possibility of posting it (or making it a comic, which would be awesome but oh so labor intensive :P).
The question is, would you rather see it as an RP log (the easiest way for me to post it), or see it as a more traditional story (requiring some rewriting and additions and reformatting on my part)?

Posted 13 years agoWe really are trying to get back into drawing more again, I'm hoping to finish a piece today actually! In the meantime however, you can help me decide what to do next!
I really should buckle down and make reference sheets; which I don't really like doing I've decided, I like scenes pulled from more relaxed and natural poses. At the same time I also know I should do ref sheets, so we're just gonna have to do it :P
Place the following in order of preference:
1) Nightclaw
2) Raynor
3) Sean
4) Muninn
5) Primus
6) Secundus
7) Unnamed new character
Also, included in my list, my sons have requested ref sheets as well!
8) Lucious

10) Vincent

Posted 13 years agoThe craziness of the holidays now over, I'm trying to get back into drawing some more! So keep an eye out if you like that sorta thing :P
In the meantime, something to hold you over! Ages ago, I made reference to something of a personal TOP 11 list of major characters, being movies, television, or books (mostly movies and television) - I was going to draw them all at that point, but unfortunately never got around to it; why TOP 11? Well as Nostalgia Critic used to say "because I believe in going one step further" (I miss Nostalgia Critic T^T). So anywho - I dug u that old list, and now you're gonna have to read it (:P) - I'm pretty sure there's at least one character on here that nobody would really think of!
#11: Don Carnage (Tail Spin)

Not only to be able to handle 101 kids, but to travel across country to track down your children's kidnappers and rescue them before some crazy woman turns them all into a coat? That's dedication for you!
#4: Razor (Swat Kats)
Of the two, razor is the smarter, and the more inventive - not to say that T-Bone is an absolute idiot, but he's more likely to rely on physical means than mental strategy.
#3: Brooklyn (Gargoyles)
In hindsight, I wasn't sure how Brooklyn ended up on here and Lexington didn't, but the I remembered I restricted myself to one character per source material. Lexington becomes a lot more interesting in the comics (which unfortunately have ended now >_<), and definitely gets props for being the only gay Disney character to date - but Brooklyn has quite a good number of incidents of his own.
#2: Stitch (Lilo and Stitch)
> Genetically engineered living weapon who learns that there's more to life than what he's been programmed for - I just love Stitch so much :P

Beware this Commissioner
Posted 13 years agoPassing along the general alarm over a user abusing the chargeback aspect of Paypal. The artists only have a real defense in Paypal's eyes because of how many of them there are, Paypal's general terms for seller protection do not apply to non-physical merchandise (such as digital art). However, the accused's defense of their Paypal account being hacked does not hold up since to issue a chargeback claim you must contact your bank first.
So unless they have someone who has gained access to their bank account, their card (since they need the full number and SSN number), and their Paypal account - and for some reason instead of cleaning them out is only harassing vendors they've used recently... yeah you know what? This line of "logic" doesn't even need to be followed...

This year's FurFright is in need of more art for their charity art book they are selling. All money for it will be going to their charity which is the United States War Dogs Association, which works to help reintroduce retired war dogs into normal domestic living situations again. This is a good thing! Think of the cute doggies! :D
I am going to try my damnedest to fit something in for them myself. I appreciate it if any artists who read this would consider submitting something as they really really need more submissions to actually make this work. The art should be Halloween themed (NON ADULT), so that's already a pretty fun subject! If you can't contribute at least try and spread the word. :)

Anyways - slow going here, lots of work, still working on my current piece - but in the meantime:
I'm starting another project! (cause why not, we all know how quick I get work done right? right. :P) I'm really excited about this, it's a joint project with my boys ( damientyroth and arkeus)!
Expect something from me soon - although it will likely be a text based background for the project, so hopefully people don't look for images only here. :P

In the meantime though: as you all know, I have the busiest and most strict schedule ever when it comes to art, but let's not dwell on that fact; I'm so busy and disciplined that I'm definitely not going to start work on another project soon - definitely not. It's not like I don't already have all these frikkin ideas in my head and all...
Yeah anyway, I'm rather slow when it comes to getting things done in a fashion that I'm satisfied with, so I'm going to try again with a previous project I tried - and hopefully get more of a response from my avid watchers this time! :P
So yes, special project, that I want to finish by... halloween... hopefully I'm giving myself enough time here ^_~
