Time for another downtown fursuit meet! We will meet at the Old Spaghetti Works at 6pm and will start walking around 6:15. If you plan on suiting, please consider bringing someone to act as a handler. Fursuit boxes will need to be stored in your personal vehicle. Feel free to message any of the admins if you have any questions!

Furry Christmas Party

When: Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 5 PM – 11 PM
Where: 205 E. Halleck St, Papillion, Nebraska 68046
It's Christmas time in Nebraska! Come join us for our annual holiday party.
The event will start at 5PM with food starting at 6PM. This is a potluck style event so please bring a dish to share (sign up sheet to follow shortly.) If you are unable to bring food, we will need help setting up at 3:30PM and tearing down after. If you need to use the kitchen at the church, please contact an admin. If you will need electricity for crockpots, please let us know. You will need to provide an extension cord and or power strip.
There will be movies and games in the basement. Feel free to bring your own board or video games. You will need to supply your own TV.
We will have a white elephant gift exchange at 7:30PM.
- Price range is $25- $30.
- Must be store bought and come with gift receipt. Please no homemade gifts.
-Must be PG
Furbraska rules will be in effect. This is a dry event so please do not bring any alcohol or show up drunk. By attending you consent to possibly having your picture taken. Let's leave the church cleaner than we found it.

We will be meeting at Flagship Commons inside Westroads Mall at 5 for dinner. After that, the group will head on over to the cinema for a movie. Stay tuned for the exact movie time.
All Furbraska rules are in effect at this event. Fursuits will not be permitted inside the mall or the movie theater. Tails are allowed as long as the tail won't cause problems for those sitting around you.

We will have several movies on hand to play in the viewing room and please throw out some suggestions! You're welcome to bring your own movies as well.
There will be space to play games, do art work, and socialize.

Hello there! We will be hosting a 2nd Lincoln haymarket meet during the farmers market in the downtown lincoln haymarket. Fursuits are welcome! We will also have multiple photographers and offer individual fursuit photoshoots if desired! We recommend parking in the new parking garages. The first hour is free and after that it's only 1 dollar per hour. They also make for a more private place to change in and out of fursuit
Schedule:
9:30-10:30: show up early for coffee at the mill if you want.
10:30-1:00: will meet at the train at 10:30 for farmers market romping and photoshoots
1:00-end time: we will meet for lunch at hopcat
Rules:
1) Dont be a dick
2) Its 10 am dont show up drunk
3) No violence toward other members
4) No inappropriate touching of others

6) Dabbing should be left in 2016

We will once again be hosting our annual spring cookout at Walnut Grove Park (across from Millard South HS.)
The event will begin at 5 and we will start grilling around 5:45. This is a potluck event so please sign up to bring something! That will be your ticket to eat.
We will have some games but feel free to bring any games you may have.
Fursuits are welcome. As usual, your suit is your responsibility and there will be a lot of people in the park. As some of you may remember, last year was a little wet. Hopefully this doesn't happen this year. Should the weather decide to turn on us, the event may be relocated.
As this is a public park, we ask that everyone acts in an respectful manner towards other groups. Remember that you are representing both Furbraska and the fandom as a whole. Clean up after yourself!

Time to hit the arcade! Family fun center has a new larger arcade, laser tag, a rock wall, and glow golf among other attractions. There is also a buffet. Pricing is on the website and there are group packages that we can use.
Fursuits are welcome! We can see how much a party room will cost so that we will have somewhere to put our stuff. Unfortunately you will not be able to wear your fursuit while playing laser tag for saftey reasons.

We will be ice skating at the ConAgra rink! The rink has moved locations this year. It is now on 10th and Capitol (by Complete Music)
Tails are welcome! Fursuits are also welcome while spectating. As this is a smaller rink, and it will be dark, we are going to ask that you refrain from wearing suits on the ice.
Admission is $5 and includes skates.
Please note: All skaters must sign a liability waiver in the admission tent before ice skating at the ConAgra Foods Ice Rink. Skaters under the age of 19 must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian on their behalf. Waivers can be downloaded from the following link after December 9th.

We will be ice skating at the ConAgra rink! The rink has moved locations this year. It is now on 10th and Capitol (by Complete Music)
Tails are welcome! Fursuits are also welcome while spectating. As this is a smaller rink, and it will be dark, we are going to ask that you refrain from wearing suits on the ice.
Admission is $5 and includes skates.
Please note: All skaters must sign a liability waiver in the admission tent before ice skating at the ConAgra Foods Ice Rink. Skaters under the age of 19 must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian on their behalf. Waivers can be downloaded from the following link after December 9th.

"We are officially approved to go to vala's and we can walk around and buy pumpkins say hi to kids and take pictures they said they dont mind please be on your best behavior so they can let us come again
PLEASE BRING MONEY FOR ADMISSION, 20$ OR MORE IF YOU WANT TO EAT"
Far as I know they approved fursuits but you'll have to inquire to Maddie or Chris should anything change and be respectful of their policies regarding costumes.

It's time for a cookout! This cookout is a potluck so if you plan on going and want to eat please plan on bringing something! I will post a link to a sign up sheet. We need people to bring lots of food so please sign up! If you are not able to bring food but would still like to eat, please bring $5.
Also feel free to bring things to play with (ie frisbees, a ball, outdoor games, etc.) Fursuits are allowed, just keep in mind that if you choose to bring a suit then it is your responsibility to watch over it!

I myself aokichan was unable to attend the recent event, however there were some complaints by some members and raydar26 and chrisquartz were able to handle things appropriately.
Furbraska is a family and non-fur friendly group and we're strictly keeping it that way. The actions of a few individuals do not reflect the group as a whole and we want people to feel safe and to be able to have fun without being bothered. I'm all for being friendly and affectionate, however there is a time and place for certain behaviors. Please have respect for people's personal space and do not do anything without their consent even if it's just a hug or pat on the back. Evaluate your relationship with the person and level of personal contact and if in doubt or if you don't know each other as well settle with a hand shake or a kind greeting.
This brings about the whole "cosplay isn't consent" matter. Please respect that if someone does have a fursuit don't immediately think that you're entitled to their personal space. Do no touch them, do not hug them, ASK FIRST then if you're allowed proceed with whatever permitted greeting or interaction.
"I need everyone to read this as it is important
I hope everyone had a good time at the cookout tonight. With that being said, there are a few things that need to be addressed:
1) There were numerous reports of groping and other inappropriate touching going on. This group is an all ages group and we are in a public place so behavior like this is NEVER acceptable. Furthermore, if you touch someone inappropriately without their consent, it is sexual harassment! If this ever happens to you during any event, please let someone know and we will take care of the issue immediately. If you are caught doing this, you will be asked to leave at the very least.
2) Some people were being picked up without their consent. Again, if they didn't say it was okay, DON'T DO IT!
3) Lastly, fursuiters need to be treated with respect. Fursuiters have limited visibility while in suit. That means if you come up behind them and decide to hug or pick them up, you could very easily hurt them. Please Google "fursuit etiquette". While this is written for a con, most of the rules also apply to any event in which there is a fursuiter present.
Also, if someone has their suit sitting somewhere, leave it alone. It is not your suit so you have no right to touch it.
