Freedom Of Speech Isn't An Excuse To Be A Creep

In regards to a recent topic I've had the displeasure of being a part of, creepy comments are just that. Unnerving, creepy comments. They should not and never should be tolerated under any circumstance.
A lewd comment such as, "Damn that's sexy and/or hot and I love it" is actually fine. Even lewder comments with folks who allow such behavior and are fine with it is also fine as long as you aren't being a creepy stalker. Hell, I'm lewd on twitter with folks who are fine with lewd content, comments, and DMs.
However, something like (and I quote word for word I shit you not) "WOOF WOOF TWO LONG FOOTLONGS. ONE POCKET MASSIVE FLUFFY NUTS AND HOT GAPING TAILHOLE. MURR MURR NOW SUCK THE OTHER AND PUT THE FIRST IN HIS ASS" is not an acceptable comment. It's immature, creepy, and downright disturbing. Comments like this are part of the reason I left FurAffinity a while back in the first place, besides stupid ass policies with IMVU. It's also one of the many reasons I am no longer a furry.
"If you're not a furry, why are you still here then?" Because I have anthropomorphic characters in addition to non-anthropomorphic ones. Just because I'm no longer a "furry" doesn't make this site any less valid for me to be on or use.
Also, defending creepy folks and comments like that should not and never should be tolerated either. If you walked up to someone in person and muttered those words, you'd definitely be getting eyeballed by everyone and even possibly have the police called on you.
"I think the idea [of the aforementioned creepy comment] is perfect." No, it's not.
"Just because they're 30 doesn't mean they're still not 5 years old inside." They're not acting like a child; they're acting like a fucking creep.
"Creepy or not, you shouldn't get so worked up. It doesn't bother me, and sometimes I do see creepier comments but I just don't say anything. I leave and look away." This is not an appropriate answer; ignoring the fire only makes it worse. Want proof? Look at USA politics unfolding right now as we speak and how there is unrest country wide, because problems were ignored for hundreds of years. Look at World War II when Adolf Hitler and the Nazis started committing atrocities against humanity. Look at how many women have ended up dead for turning down creepy men. Look at how a certain United States President made a comment about "Grab 'em by the pussy."
"Don't be a Karen." This isn't being a Karen, or a Social Justice Warrior, or a White Knight, or whatever the fuck Gen Z or Gen Alpha is calling nowadays (I'm a Millennial, don't @ me). This is voicing actual concern over creepy, inappropriate behavior that we as adults need to call people out on and do something about.
"Holy fucking shit you are an uptight cunt." If that is you're train of thought after reading this journal, then you need to step away from the internet, look in the mirror, and reevaluate your life choices and morals. I'm not being an uptight cunt; I'm voicing literal concerns over creepy, inappropriate behavior.

Future Uncertain...
Posted 5 years agoGrandad ended up not being able to breathe properly and went to the ER Sunday. Monday, he started to improve, but overnight, his heart stopped twice and he ended up in the ICU. He passed away at 4:20 AM Central - roughly about an hour ago from this post.
As of right now, I am unemployed, my future is uncertain, and I may very well end up losing my access to the internet. I may end up homeless, worst case scenario. Best case scenario, I inherit a home. Middle ground? I move in with my mom, if she manages to keep her land that grandad gave her - or she gets the house we just moved to 2 weeks ago and we move up here.
If I lose contact with you guys, this is why. I hope you all keep me in your thoughts.

SO, LET ME TELL YOU ALL ABOUT MY WEEKEND
Posted 6 years agoI play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. The current campaign? Storm King's Thunder, Forgotten Realms setting. To give you guys an idea of how rough this game is? Only three characters - my goblin Jendy, a Tabaxi named Chance, and a human named Gus, are the only three characters from the start of the game who are still alive, well, and the only players who have not abandoned the game.
Okay. So... Last week, we looted a Deck of Many Things. Our group, in that same encounter - we lost one person, an Artificer named Alexander (they ded) after he shot someone (also ded), and we also let a mage (accidentally) bleed out.
So. Today. Our Tabaxi (and the voice of the party so to speak) decided to test her namesake and drew FIVE CARDS from the Deck of Many Things.
THE VERY FIRST CARD SHE DRAWS? The Void. It Shadow Realms her.
My Goblin... God bless my little Goblin. She is True Neutral, but she is VERY SELFLESS. Before the Tabaxi (her name is Chance) drew, Jendy said she'd draw cards with her and decided to draw two. Chance drew first. Shadow Realmed.
So Jendy... Who has lost all but TWO of her friends since the campaign started announces to the other remaining friend she's been here through thick and thin with since Level 1, a Fighter named Gus.
"If anything bad happens to me... Don't forget me."
DRAWS TWO CARDS. FIRST CARD? RUIN. Loses ALL her non-Magical belongings or anything considered "Wealth." Her horse. Her old homeland. All gone.
She goes, "If this second card brings Chance back, it's worth losing everything."
THE SECOND CARD? THRONE. JENDY HAS A KEEP SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD NOW. AND IS BASICALLY A NOBLE. A GOBLIN NOBLE.
The deck disappears and she just collapses because she failed to bring Chance back. So she lost everything on her person... And gained it back a hundred fold. But she didn't want the riches, she just wanted her friend back.
With the Deck exhausted, we turn to the OTHER item we looted as well that week - an Efreeti Bottle. In an attempt to bring Chance and Alexander back, we decided to open the bottle. We got lucky with our roles: WE GOT THREE WISHES. So we are bringing Alexander back from the dead, bringing back the person he shot as well, and find out that Chance's "Shadow Realm" is the plane of Mechanus, where perfect order reigns supreme.
Also, the Efreeti touched our Cleric's warhammer (her name is Samia) because the Cleric wanted her warhammer touched so that she knows the flames guide it. The Efreeti BLESSES it with a strange pattern that is hot to the touch.
And finally, an airship flew overhead after all was said was done. Alexander (WITH HELP FROM A GUIDANCE SPELL FROM SAMIA) made the 25 DC roll and passed. We find out it's a living fable, the Cloud's Destiny, which comes from another universe known as Eberron and that it flies via the power of either an air or fire elemental.
Game ended with my goblin getting head rubs from Gus, so it was all good in the end.
THUS, CONCLUDES MY WEEKEND. Try the veal.

Dear Final Fantasy XIV Community - A Small Rant
Posted 6 years agoEnjoy what you all asked for. Stop hating it because it's a new concept. DRK being a Tank instead of a DPS, nobody panics. SAM being a DPS instead of a Tank, nobody panics. DANCER IS A DPS INSTEAD OF A HEALER, WELL THEN EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS!
And then the topic of Viera and Ronso being gender locked? They did this for a reason.
How many male Viera are seen in FF12 or the FFTA series? None. Male Viera make it a point to make themselves invisible and not seen until mating season, where they collect the males from the community.
As far as the Ronso? They were not only introduced to compensate for the lack of male Viera, but the demand to play Ronso from the FFX fan base.
Dancer being a DPS? I love this. A Ranged DPS? We need one desperately. Everyone keeps screaming "WE NEED HEALERS!" or "WE NEED TANKS!" when the definite answer is actually the fact we don't.
We didn't need Gunbreaker, but we still got it because of the demand to play a class that uses Gunblade. We got Dancer because of the demand for it as well.
But out of all the DPS Roles, outside of Caster DPS, Ranged DPS you only had like... 2 options. NOT TO MENTION DANCER IS STILL A BUFFER. You use Dances to execute abilities (essentially making you a Ranged NIN), and those dances buff your party members. It's a win/win. You're still a support class but you're also DPS.
So, again. Let me repeat all this for the people in the back:
We got Blue Mage.
We got Viera.
We got Dancer.
We got Gunbreaker.
We got Ronso.
I have HAD it with the levels of salt that you guys are giving over the fact you begged Yoshi P for shit, got it, and YOU didn't like it.
If you're going to whine, piss, moan, and bitch over things that you actually asked for and got, then do us all a favor and stop asking for shit right now because your negativity is what's wrong with the community and why we, as a collective whole, can't have nice things.

2019 Is The Year Of Karma - Life Update

So, long story short. To explain the situation to those of you who are new and/or don't know the horrors I've been going through for the last fucking year.
My eldest aunt, who is bat shit crazy, forged my granddad's power of attorney, took him to her house, held him prisoner, and signed his house over to her son. We pressed charges for conservator of person and estate.
Today? We won. WE. FUCKING. WON. After a year long battle, we won and dad is now under the care of my other aunt, who is a registered nurse for a living and has been one for over 20 years or more.
Also. My crazy aunt. How dumb is she?
She agreed to pull out of everything if the guy who is overseeing dad's estate right now... WHO IS A LEGAL ATTORNEY AND A GUARDIAN AD LITEM... Remained over his estate.
THIS. IS. WHERE. SHE. FUCKED. UP.
By law, he is now required to go after her ass for embezzlement. He is going to go over her assets and dad's checking account for the duration she had him, and if he finds out that she misappropriated and misspent even so much as a single red penny, SHE IS GOING TO BE TORE A NEW ASSHOLE.
Considering that... She never. NEVER. Showed him any receipts where she made purchases, failed to report to the family - which, by the way, WAS REQUIRED BY THE JUDGE - about ANY of his hospitalizations and medical needs, and, finally, failed to communicate with the Guardian Ad Litem AT ALL, on top of denying most of if not all of dad's nurses - yes, his NURSES - entry into her fucking house? She is in some deep fucking shit right now.
On top of all this, we are pressing charges against her for abuse and neglect. We have both photo and audio proof of this, and back in January, when dad told us that she hit him on his face, showed us where she hit him - AND BEHOLD, THERE WAS A BRUISE - and that we had been given audio from the night before? Police heard the recording, saw the marks on him, and flat out said, "Yea there's signs of abuse here."
In addition, the crazy bitch's attorney IS DROPPING HER ASS. She refused to pay him and even so much as maintain constant communication with him.
2019 is the Year of Karma, in which, to quote a very good friend of mine upon hearing this news, "abusive asshats get what's coming to them."

FFXIV: SHADOWBRINGERS - Do Want
Posted 6 years agoI've been having financial issues, bad luck, and everything else you can imagine for the last year and a half. I was being paid to be a caregiver to my grandparents, from their own pockets, because no one else would care for them and they wanted to see to it I had income.
Well, when grandmom ended up in the hospital and grandad was taken down to my aunt's house and broken down, that income came to a halt. Shit really went downhill from there, and while there's been friends and family helping with funds here and there, there is one thing that I desperately want this year. I want it so bad I can taste it, yet I know the chances of actually getting it are slim to none, but I am holding out hope anyways.
I want to preorder the physical Collector's Edition of FFXIV: Shadowbringers. This expansion is important to me for a few reasons.
1. I've been waiting since Heavensward for Viera to be playable. They TEASED US with the possibility, and then gave us Au Ra instead. I felt betrayed, and with this expansion FINALLY giving me the long-waited fantasy of playing a Viera? I need this so much.
2. Gunbreaker class/job. Another class I've been waiting for since we got Machinist was a job that used the Gunblade. And with the Collector's Edition having Squall Leonhart's Gunblade - Revolver - I have a mighty need.
3. I collect miniature statues. I already have Midgardsormr and Zenos sitting on my mantle along with Darth Malgus. While I never got my hands on the physical collector's edition of A Realm Reborn, I have been able to get both the Heavensward and the Stormblood Collector's Boxes. I wish to continue this trend with Shadowbringers, so that I can have a collection of one of my three favorite Final Fantasy games.
With those things out of the way, I CAN settle for a digital copy. I would be sad with being unable to continue my collection, but I also understand that not everyone has the money for a physical Collector's Edition laying around. That said, every little bit helps. Hell, I'm still trying to find a way to afford my net bill, and if it wasn't for my friends pitching in alongside you guys, I'd be without my primary source of income at this moment.
So how can you help out, you ask? Easy.
1. Ask me for my paypal.me link or even my paypal to make a donation. I would use a site like Go Fund Me, but the site takes a huge ass cut from the funds you donate. It's crippling enough that I actually have to set my goal HIGHER than what I need to get stuff. This was made evident the last time I used it, and it's just easier if I give you guys my paypal.me or paypal link. Really, it is. Even if you can only send a dollar or so, a dollar or so adds up quickly. Trust me on this as well. If 40 people got together and sent $5 each, I could buy it right now. 1. Ask me for my paypal.me link or even my paypal to make a donation. I would use a site like Go Fund Me, but the site takes a huge ass cut from the funds you donate. It's crippling enough that I actually have to set my goal HIGHER than what I need to get stuff. This was made evident the last time I used it, and it's just easier if I give you guys my paypal.me or paypal link. Really, it is. Even if you can only send a dollar or so, a dollar or so adds up quickly. Trust me on this as well. If 40 people got together and sent $5 each, I could buy it right now. If 200 people donated a single dollar, same thing. You can send me $1, $5, or however much you wish to send, and it can add up quick. Right now, the PC version of Shadowbringers' Collectors Edition has a waiting list - but it can come back up for sale soon.

Posted 6 years agoSo, on the 20th of last month, we got grandad back at his house. It's a temporary arrangement, but he's finally back home for a while.
That said, the money I had put back to pay my internet bill? It went towards grandad's supplies when we got him back.

Emergency Funds Needed
Posted 6 years agoI'm going to be potentially short on money for a bill that is required by the house this month. :X Not helping that this is so close to my 29th birthday, which is December 24th.
That said, I'm reaching out to you guys for help. The bill that's needing money is the internet bill. I live in the middle of no where, and due to living conditions, if I lose the internet, I lose the primary source of income.

Posted 7 years agoMy birthday is December 24th. I know, most of you are going, "But that's 6 weeks away!" I know, I know. I should really be making this journal next month.
But I'm making it this month because I want to tell you guys what I want for my birthday and, to an extent, Christmas. I know a lot of you don't have money to throw around or spend on frivolous things, but to let you all know what I want?
I want THIS, because I'm no artist, but I love character design and making things here and there. And when I have access to products like these, it helps me learn to draw because of all the different angles and whatnot.
Hell, up until yesterday, I couldn't even do ears. But after doing some testing and using template references, I succeeded in making really good ears in the Cozy Cat Studio 2015 template. And the proof is in the pudding.
So, really, that's the big thing I want for my birthday. A $50 package so I can get better at drawing and potentially list some adoptables for sale here to get myself back on my feet, because it's something that I can use to help make income.

My Life ATM: Possibility of no internet for a long time
Posted 7 years agoTL;DR: I may not have net soon, not sure for how long. I hate this. However, things involving my grandfather are being processed and the court’s all on it.

For those not in the know...
Since my grandmom passed away in October, the aunt who has been caring for my grandfather has been taking advantage of him. We found out between last month and this month that she is trying to sign over his $50,000 estate to her son, after it has been promised to me on recording and everything else, for a sum of $10. She also got a vehicle in her name using his money, despite the fact the vehicle is supposed to be in his name.
Me, my other aunt, and my Mom all think he needs a conservator to ensure his estate and money are properly managed.
Yesterday was court day.
Our lawyer (the one representing my good aunt, my mom, and myself) and my crazy aunt’s lawyer spoke. Both lawyers agreed to a Guardian Ad Litem to investigate the case from today until May 11th.
The Guardian Ad Litem was informed of everything crazy aunt has been doing, and was informed she was trying to lock me for the $6,000 I got from Granddad to buy my new PC parts and to pay for the hired help and other materials we needed to get the house ready for Grandma to come home back in October. Despite me having proof that I can produce the receipts needed to validate that the money was not stolen, she is still accusing me of theft. The GAL has informed me as long as I can produce receipts and show proof of the bulk of the money (60-75%) I’m fine. Which I can literally do in less than 3 minutes by pulling up the Receipts from Newegg, Best Buy, eBay, etc. Oh, and Amazon.
The GAL will be investigating the case over the next month or so to determine if Granddad needs a Conservator or not.
The GAL also put a freeze hold on Grandad’s estate: NOTHING can be signed over, moved, etc. until AFTER the Court case. This includes the property I live on that my crazy aunt’s son tried to buy for $10 - A $50,000 value estate and he’s trying to buy it for $10? Doubt that’s gonna fly.
My crazy aunt’s husband and uncle verbally threatened me to fight them IN PUBLIC, on Court property, as well. Not going to worry about them, because not worth it.
In addition, I won’t have internet for much longer. The internet bill, which was supposed to be paid on the 24th, did not get the payment. Which means that my father’s banking was cleared out; the payments came out of his checking automatically. So the rumor that my aunt drew out all his money? Most likely true at this point.
