I'm alive!!
Posted 3 months agoHello! I'm still alive and kicking and checking FA daily. Just haven't had time to do much besides check notifications though.
I got a new job as an Assistant Manager in March, and I'm still in training. The other members of leadership at this place suck ass at their jobs, so I've been left running the place while ALSO trying to get my training done. I think I only got maybe one actual day off in the last 3 weeks.
My training is ALMOST done, and thankfully the new Manager who started in April has been helping A LOOOOT while she's learning, which has lessened a good deal of the workload from my shoulders and given me some breathing room to work on my own training lol.
Anyways. I'm still here, I just have been stuck in training as a salaried employee for the last handful of months and therefor have had 0 time to work on art consistently, if at all. I've gotten the sketch work for one commissioned YCH done, that's really about it.
I plan on getting the adopt edits that has been pending for AGES completed first and foremost once I can finally sit and draw again. Then I have the commissioned YCH, the alternate outfit for a ref sheet, and 2 Ko-Fi sketches to complete. I've been itching to find time to work on these, but now that the new manager is getting to the point in her training that she can help me out with running the place, I should finally be able to actually take days off, catch up on my chores and such, then actually maybe have some time to draw again ;w;

Happy New Year! (2025 plans)
Posted 8 months agoHappy New Year everyone! I hope ya'll had a positive end to 2024. I know I am eager to kick 2024 good fuckin bye!
2024 in recap:
2024 was probably one of the hardest years for me yet, both financially and art wise. I'm sure it was noticed how little new art I actually got completed and posted since 2023, and that's due to all the stress this year has put me under. First I moved from one rental home into another at the end of February, so the start of the year was busy with finding a home, cleaning the old rental, working to financially afford the deposits for the new rental, and then also dealing with my asshole roommate while also looking for other roommates (to no real success).
Things felt good initially after the move, I loved the new home and the space it gave, enough to actually decorate my living space and personalize my room for the first time in years. Then things at work got really bad. But then I got one of my dream dogs in July and she was honestly the highlight of my whole year! But caring for a new puppy as well as beginning her training for service work took a good deal of my spare time in the beginning. Then my roommate situation got even worse and my work situation got horrendous and my financial situation also got really bad. So I decided I'd move back in with my parents to both help them out health wise due to my moms medical needs, as well as to help myself get financially back on my feet after having multiple roommates drain me financially. (Altogether, they owe me $2000+ which has only increased due to interest charges on my credit cards that were used to cover housing expenses to keep the roof over our heads because they either couldn't afford to, or they willfully ignored what was owed).
I moved back into my parents home at the end of September. I had a handful of furniture and items/boxes that required a storage unit but my financial burdens have been greatly lifted otherwise and the only thing holding me back from fully recovering is the interest that eats up any progress I make. I'm working hard to conquer that right now. Because of this move, I have been busy with unpacking, getting established at work (and searching for a new, better paying job in the meantime lol), caring for my pets as well as my mom's puppy, training a service dog, and so much more. It's unfortunately kept me away from any notable art progress this year.
Due to my financial struggles, I've been trying to complete some adoptable designs as well as having started a Holiday/Christmas YCH that I unfortunately wasn't able to complete and post prior to the holidays as badly as I wanted to get it posted. I also have a handful of commissions and owed art that I still need to complete. Nothing massively difficult or detailed, just stuff I haven't yet had the time this year to complete.
tldr; 2024 sucked and so do roommates. Also fuck capitalism.
2025 Goals:
Things have finally started to settle down since I moved and I'm starting to finally feel some of the stress and pressure off my shoulders so I am hoping that will lead to more time to getting my owed artwork completed. Now that the holidays are over as well, it should help lessen the strain on my schedule outside of work.
Ultimately my goal in 2025 is to make more personal artwork. Aside from the current limited commission options I have posted and open right now, and MAYBE a YCH or simple commission or two that I may post in the future, I do not plan to take on new commissions in 2025. My main goals are these:
1. Finish owed art/edits! Most of these are just additional details or edits of an adoptable sheet, but I do also have a YCH and a couple simple sketches to complete as well as giveaway art that I owe (That's right, I haven't forgotten lol!).
2. Complete some reference sheets for my own characters!!! I have so many furry OCs but have literally not gotten to make any art of them in years to post here.
3. Start streaming again! I only streamed 1 time for gameplay in early 2024 after I moved homes and got settled. I would like to pick it back up now that life has started to settle down for me again. I plan on streaming new games and artwork more regularly! I'm even currently working on fixing up the background for my facecam to help get motivated back into a more regular schedule.
tldrl; I wanna be more active posting art here lol
I really hope that yall have had a good start to the new year, and I hope to be more present here in the coming months with new art.

Moved (Again!)
Posted 11 months agoI officially moved in with my parents last sunday to help with my moms health as well as get away from the shitty living situation I was previously in. I got away from the toxic workplace, away from a shitty roommate, away from a shitty landlord, away from a shitty town. I already feel a TON of weight off my shoulders and I'm optimistic about going forward.
I'm currently in the process of getting things unpacked. I go back to work on Tuesday. I'm still looking for the cords for my computer, I think they accidentally got packed into a box that I've got in a storage unit, but I'm hoping to find them soon. Once I do, I'm going to be trying to get back into drawing again. It's been a while before I had the energy or time to spare to draw, but now that I'm now in a less stressful situation my hope is that I'll finally have energy and spare time to draw again. I've still got 5 pieces I gotta complete:
1 - Alt armored version of a ref sheet
2 - Additions and edits to make on an adopt ref sheet
3 - YCH
4/5 - Waist up sketches

Hey there!! Check this out!
Posted a year agoI'm not currently able to take on more art commitments until I've completed the handful I have left, HOWEVER
My friend :usernyagirl: has a TON of neat YCH's available and she is short on rent!! If yall want some great art while also helping to support an artist keep a roof over their head, please go check out her page and consider commissioning her or claiming one of her YCHs!!! She's been a friend of mine for several years and if I weren't in the middle of moving out of state and needing to save up to do so, I would absolutely be claiming a few of those YCHs she's got available.

Anyone doing Adopt Design Contests?
Posted a year agoDoes anyone know of anyone doing an active adoptable design contest?
The ones where they give design aspects that they like and then offer up something like $100 to buy their favorite design? I haven't entered one of those in a few years, but I'm looking into doing a couple in hopes of helping build up some funds. Even if I don't win, I'll have a few adopt designs created to sell at least ;w; I'm currently working on a handful of adopt designs to sell regardless, but I find doing those contests often times helps inspire me, and having a deadline also keeps me working.
If you know of anyone doing any design contests right now, please link them for me!

Life update
Posted a year agoMy job as gotten to be a very unhappy workplace for me lately
Today my newest roommate pretty much said shes not going to pay her share of utilities and made up all sorts of excuses, including mentioning that I have more pets than what I have on the lease. So I told her if she was unhappy with the living situation that was agreed upon before she signed the lease and moved in, then she can leave. She has decided to do that, and now I'm concerned she may snitch to the realty office that I have 2 more pets than is currently disclosed on the lease to be petty.
Life is not going well for me right now, which really sucks because I was so excited about getting my new puppy. Everything else has just sucked the joy of that right out of me and now I'm fucking miserable and have 0 energy to do any art, even though I'm desperately trying because Im in need of the money. I hate my job and have anxiety about it constantly. And now I have to worry about potentially being evicted if my asshole roommate decides to go tell the realty people about my extra animals.
Dont get me wrong, I am ready to leave this shitty town and wish I hadnt signed a 1 year lease with this place before realizing I hate the people here in this town, but I would rather not have an eviction or negative mark of any kind against my record just because I had a shitty roommate who couldn't be bothered to pay $192 for bills (Really just refusing to pay the $92, bc she said shed pay no more than $100).

Moved! (irl)
Posted a year agoI am FINALLY done with moving houses!
I spent the last week moving boxes and furniture over and cleaning. The last 3 days, after work, I literally spent all my time at the old house cleaning and repairing. I got a combined total of 12 hours of sleep over the last 3 days and looked so much like death on Wednesday morning at work that my boss suggested I go home and rest lmao.
BUT ITS DONE!!!! Aside from putting things up at the new place, the actual moving aspect is done.
And I finally have internet again!

:Upside down smiley face:
Posted a year agoJust found out my roommate, who makes nearly $25/hour and gets paid weekly, WONT be able to cover a 50/50 split of rent+bills at the house we just signed a new lease for :)
Meanwhile, I make barely over $17/hour and ALREADY have to pay 2/3 of our rent+bills at our current home because our 3rd roommate hasn't paid her share for nearly 6 whole months due to being unemployed. Not to mention I also pay the cost for food/necessities for my pets on top of that.
Apparently my roommate made, in my opinion, a pretty bad financial decision in regards to a loan to consolidate his credit card debt and because of that he now has to pay $800/month MINIMUM towards that loan. Granted, he made this decision prior to our new housing situation, but I'm only just NOW hearing about the true scope of the cost of it, after we signed a contract for the new rental house :)
If I'd realized this prior, I honestly would have heavily considered getting my own damn place. At least then I would have my own dedicated space just for myself at a price that I'm already currently fucking paying because apparently grown ass adults in their late 20's can't get their shit together and I'm the one who has to bear the brunt of that consequence lmfao. I legitimately thought I was done with that once I kicked my mooching ex wife out. All the progress I made paying that debt down has been flushed down the damn toilet.
Anyways. This is a rant to lead into the fact that I am financially hurting once again due to the carelessness of others and because of this I'm very likely going to have to get a second job (if I can even get one without having a flexible schedule bc of my main job) so my already super slow art progress and posting on here is likely going to dip down even slower.
I do have a couple commission slots open for reference sheets, a very cheap and very fast turnaround Chibi YCH, as well as a Patreon and Ko-fi, if anyone would have any interest in boosting these for me. There's no pressure to do so, this journal was mainly to announce that I'll likely be very spotty if/when I'm able to get a second job. As usual, thank yall for your continued support.

Back home! (Thank god!)
Posted a year agoOk so I was able to get a car rental through the dealership just in time to make my trip out of state to visit family for the holidays. It was incredibly draining and exhausting and while it wasn't terrible, visiting my fam reminds me why I live far far away from them and don't visit or interact often .__.
Anyways. I'm finally home, the holidays are OVER at last, and aside from a busy work week prepping for an audit on the 8th of this month, things are finally calming down again. I should be back to artwork within the next few days, and I am gonna be focusing on getting the last few comms done ASAP once I've had a day or two to recuperate the sleep ive lost from this trip. The high anxiety and "Go go go!" feelings I had in December while I prepped for the holidays has eased tremendously so I'll be able to focus again on drawing and not feeling impatient with myself like I was.
Aside from needing to search for a new house to move into by the beginning of march, I don't foresee much else before then outside of my irl job distracting me from art, so end of Feb/Early March is going to be my goal post currently for completing as much as possible because for the month of March, I'll probably be focused on moving (it's not a far move, still in town) and cleaning/repairing the rental I'm currently in, in order to try and ensure I get my full deposit back.
I hope you all had a great and peaceful transition into the new year. I'm looking forward to getting my last few comms done early this year and then being more productive and actively posting here with personal art and introducing my characters properly at last!

Finally home!
Posted 2 years agoI finally made it home today after a month of traveling! 4 weeks for work, then 4 days for my highschool reunion. The reunion was fun, and I got some unexpected closure so that was really nice.
As per the usual after getting home from traveling, I'll be spending a couple days cleaning up the house a little (3 cats in one house makes for a LOT of fur lmao) then I'll be back to focusing on commissions! I unfortunately didn't get a lot done during this last work trip because the center I went to was SO disorganized that there were many days I stayed several hours after the end of my scheduled shift to complete important work. This was definitely the most difficult work trip I've taken since I started traveling last year. Now that I'm home my schedule should go back to normal. My coworkers and boss are really good at their jobs so there shouldn't be any need for me to work overtime lol
Hope to get some more art up for ya'll soon! I've got all the refunds completed while on my work trip, and I will be chipping away at the last few commissions. Commissioners, please keep an eye on the Trello for updates as progress is made! I always make sure to update that any time I make significant progress.

Posted 2 years agoOut of all the centers I've traveled to, this one has got to be THE hardest one to handle I s2g. I keep wanting to come back to my hotel and get some art done while I've got the spare time but I am so mentally fatigued by the time I get off work I wind up just going to sleep. My job isn't even that physically taxing, but mentally??? This center is FUCKED up lmfao and I'm constantly having to balance my time between helping the department with the daily review tasks and dealing with the chaos that was left by their former manager. In combination with that, the nurses here do NOT take direction well and continuously push back because they didn't have very good oversight from their former supervisor or the previous quality department staff, so trying to correct the errors they're making and guide them onto the correct process is like pulling teeth!! The last two days I've worked I've nearly broken down in tears in my office from frustration and being overwhelmed. I've been to SO many other centers in the last year and by far I hate this one the most. I cant' wait to go back home lmao
Anywho, all this to say my hope for making decent progress on art while I'm traveling isn't as high as it was before thanks to me being essentially catatonic by the time I get off my shift. I'm hoping it eases up in the next week but odds are very slim. On top of the existing chaos, a department coworker suddenly had a family member pass right after their manager was fired, so the workload isn't as split as before and they wont be back until Wednesday, which will be my next day off.
Oh, other fun news that happened to me while I've been here. Yesterday on my day off I ran some errands to get some more food, and while I was out I got a call from my boss saying that she got a call from corporate saying that the hotel called them claiming my room had been emptied and my dog was all that was left inside lmfao! When I tell ya'll I drove home in a HURRY to make sure my dog was ok and that my stuff was still there ;w; Thankfully, everything was good. Just a miscommunication between the cleaning staff and front desk. But good lord it gave me a panic!!!!
I am so tired. This travel trip has been excruciating.
Anywho, all this to say my hope for making decent progress on art while I'm traveling isn't as high as it was before thanks to me being essentially catatonic by the time I get off my shift. I'm hoping it eases up in the next week but odds are very slim. More traveling!
Posted 2 years agoJust found out yesterday from my boss that I'll probably be traveling for a majority of this month starting sometime next week. I'll also be for sure traveling for personal reasons next month (just for 4 days) but there's a chance afterwards that I'll be traveling even more in September for work.
I don't intend to let this slow down my work on commissions, however I'm unsure what my schedule is going to look like. It looks like they're going to need help at like, 3 different centers, but I don't expect the first one I'll be helping to need me more than a regular 40 hours/week. The other centers however might, it just depends on what the staffing looks like at the time. I still don't anticipate needing to work more hours than normal, but there is potential for it which would slow me down a little with progress.
But per usual, I will have my laptop and tablet with me, so I'll be working on commissions in my spare time! I'll make sure to keep you all updated!

Artfight is OVER!!!!
Posted 2 years agoJuly is over and with that so is Artfight!!!
I'll be uploading a couple pieces that I completed here shortly.
I was definitely right in thinking that taking this brief break from commissions to participate in artfight and do gift art would help me a ton with easing my burnout. I had an absolute BLAST and getting to draw non-commission work again after 3 years definitely helped bring back my motivation to complete the last couple commissions I have to finish!
I'm going to take this week to catch up on chores that I put off in july, then I work this weekend, and after that I'll be returning to commission work with a nice refresh. I actually feel excited to draw again, so I'm hoping this will help me find the focus to get these commissions completed quickly. I imagine on my day off Tuesday, barring any potential errands, I should hopefully be able to get the base artwork completed for the first reference sheet, and then I can move on to the second and work towards completing the final sketch details for it so that I can finally start lining.
I'm really SO excited after July. It gave me a taste of freedom from the pressure this queue has had on me, and now I'm hungrier than EVER to get it cleared so that I can return to drawing personal art, or gift art, or even just going outside and exercising more. I'm hyped!!

Refund tracker
Posted 2 years agoBeen wanting to make a journal to keep track of and let those waiting for refunds keep track of how much and when they're gonna be getting refunds! I think it'll definitely help me budget each paycheck as well and try to pinpoint a better timeframe!
madamepauling - $35 | Status: Refunded
Lichaltar - $75 | Status: Refunded
Mehworks - $60 | Status: Refunded
I'm actually surprised it's only three, I thought I was refunding more but I guess it just felt like a lot. I'm thrilled it's not so much, I actually got a TON of commissions done from that massive queue ;w; That makes me feel better.
Obviously, I still need to complete these three ref sheets:
Valkyrie Snowpaw (Front/Back full detail)
SouthernHeart (Front/Back full detail)
meanlittledolly (Add ons/Edits for Adopt ref sheet)
And then after those, I have one final YCH to complete that was claimed very recently. Not all of these are added to the Trello yet, but all will be added in time. I have not forgotten about any of these commissions or refunds, so hopefully this journal can bring some ease to those still waiting ;w;
There is a little over 1 week left for artfight, so progress will resume in August! Taking this brief break to do non-paid for art has been a huge help to my motivation and burnout, so I intend to come back to these commissions with more focus after this month ends.

Commission queue refunds!
Posted 2 years agoShort journal but I just wanted to update ya'll! Mainly commissioners, but also just in general since this will likely affect my art output in the future.
After thinking over what I have left in my commission queue from 2020 when I was unemployed and had to take on a ton of commissions, I've decided that for the handful of pieces I have left I'll be doing refunds!
This does NOT include the 3 reference sheets I am currently working on (one being for an adoptable I sold during that timeframe), I still 100% plan on completing those, but those will be the final commissions in my queue. The chibi commissions, talksprite, and 1 other ref sheet (commissioner went MIA) will all be refunded. I'm staggering my refunds so as not to too heavily impact me financially, but I'll be trying to refund at least 1 commission each paycheck.
I hate that it's taken me so long to finish everything in my queue, but a big contributor to that happening (aside from the 5 months my computer was broken) is simply the fact that I had so many commissions all at once. I got a good amount completed in a reasonable time, but working on those meant other pieces didn't get worked on until much later, and that time really adds up. Couple all that with my irl full time job and chores, and it just made this wait time unreasonably long. I'm already a very slow artist as it is, which is why ideally I would only like to take 2-3 commissions at a time, but my circumstances in 2020 didn't allow for that since I was unemployed and had a spouse who was unwilling to give me any support while I searched for a job like I did when they were unemployed.
Anyways, once refunds are given, and my 3 ref sheet commissions are done, I still plan on completing the giveaway prizes that I owe! These however will be done at a more leisurely pace since I don't want to handle them as if they're commissions.
I'll be working on personal pieces in between the giveaway art so yall can finally expect to have some art of MY OWN characters!!!!! :D I'm also participating in artfight this year, so yall can probably expect some uploads here from that, for any furry character art that I happen to do.
So, things are getting hopeful! I just realized I was really starting to spiral mentally, despite being on the last handful of commissions left. Mainly because the more I thought about it the more I realized I probably wouldn't get them all done before the year ends, and that thought absolutely pushed me over the edge since I am ready to have some personal freedom again and I dont think I can handle another full year working on this queue and being unable to enjoy anything else outside of my irl job and my side job as an artist.
Again, I am SO grateful for the patience my commissioners have shown me. I hate that it's taken so long, but hopefully I never have to be in that situation again and can take on commissions again in the future at a more reasonable pace to avoid a repeat of this happening.

Small little life updoot
Posted 2 years agoNothing major to really share, but moreso just a little progress update on things.
My workplace has gotten VERY busy and is very short staffed right now due to a hiring freeze and a handful of staff quitting for various personal reasons. So, even though my department doesn't normally go out to the floors since we can't normally do anything in operations, me and 1 other quality department coworker have essentially been working the areas while our boss manages the daily quality tasks. Because of this I've been getting out of work 1-2 hours later than normal and am much more exhausted than usual so it's slowing me down juuuust a touch when it comes to art ;w; However I have made some decent progress on one of my ref sheet commissions and I'm aiming to get all the base lines/flats placed for it ASAP and then work towards completing the sketches for the other ref sheet commission and doing the same hyper focused lining/coloring lol. Consistent progress is being made :3
I'm currently in a little limbo waiting to hear if I'll be traveling for work again soon as well. Just depends on if a manager at this other center gets fired or if the team members under them quit and coverage is needed while they find replacements.
Lastly, we are 1 month away from July, which means ARTFIGHT!!! This year I will be 100% participating in artfight, meaning any commission work will either be put on hiatus or worked on sporadically in between artfight pieces. I was hoping to have all my commissions done before July (honestly much sooner than that even) but regardless, I'll be getting as much work done as I can in June and will be trying to hardcore focus on my commissions in hopes of maybe completing at least the 2 ref sheets I have in the works. Good news is, I'll be trying to stream every day in July while I work on artfight pieces since they'll be SFW, so if anyone likes to see the progress for my art start to finish, keep an eye out for the link! :3 I'm hoping that this small break to do gift art might help keep me from any potential burn out since there's no stress of a transaction tied to the art I'll be doing.
That's about all for now. My feet ache tremendously so I'm about to go take like, a 2 hour bath to try and soothe them ;w; I hope yall have had a great day!

Sorry for the silence!
Posted 2 years agoHello all!
Sorry I've been a little MIA recently. I had to put a pause on artwork to focus on something else for a little while, but I'm finally back to trying to get artwork done! I tried getting started back today and was struggling so I might work on an adopt idea I had in mind to warm back up and get my momentum back (plus, I'm getting new piercings for my bday this month, so I wont be able to donate plasma for 4 months and that will be $500/month I'm not getting @w@ so selling an adopt or two may help keep me on track with my debt lol)
I do have 1 piece of artwork completed but I'm waiting until I finish 2 more ref sheets before I post them all at once! I have 9 days off starting on the 22nd since I took the week off for my birthday, and I'll primarily be focusing on artwork during that time, mixed in with other things like chores and little projects I've put off around the house, and also some PokemonGO. I recently picked the game back up in hopes that it'd help me get more exercise and walk more places instead of driving and it's been a tremendous boost to my happiness just getting outside a bit more often and walking my dog with me as I play ;w; For the first time in like 2 years I also had the energy to do some gardening and I planted some wildflower seeds which is another boost of happiness I got recently. This just shows how much healing I've done since kicking my ex out, and how much more energy I have now that I'm not working ridiculous hours to keep up with their financial draining QwQ
To end this long winded ramble, I'm still here I'm just also still slow as hell when it comes to art =w=; Balancing life, work and a side job can be a struggle but I appreciate everyone's patience and trust.

Anyone had a burst eardrum before?
Posted 2 years agoHello all!
Last night when laying down, I tried to pop my ears and my left ear popped in an excruciatingly painful way and I'm certain I've burst an eardrum. Thankfully my boss advised using a heat pad to ease the pain so I was able to finally sleep and stop crying from the pain. However, I wanted to know if anyone who watches me here has experience with burst eardrums and any tips on treating it? I know that they usually heal on their own after a couple weeks, but this is the first time I've had one burst and it's incredibly uncomfortable. It doesnt hurt anymore but I constantly feel like the pressure in my ear is off and theres a weird echo with my hearing ;-;

Back from traveling!
Posted 2 years agoI have safely made it back home from traveling out of state for work! Thankfully, the winter storm that hit happened after I arrived and was no longer an issue by today when I drove home. I made a little bit of progress on art while away thankfully! Not as much as I'd hoped because I didn't get off quite at the times I wanted to from work, but something is better than nothing.
I'm back home for at least until January 4th. I feel there's a likely chance they'll need me again at that center sometime next month so I might have another week or two away, but for now I'm home! I work tomorrow then have the weekend off, so I'm hoping I can get a bit more progress done on artwork over the weekend, and even more during the week.
I hope yall have had a good holiday season so far and the end of the year is treating you well! Sorry again for my absence, but like I said in my last journal, traveling for work is giving me a boost in getting my debt paid down, which hopefully will lessen my need to work so much in 2023 ;w; I'm hoping for the new year to be a good one for me in regards to art content.

Traveling pt.3!
Posted 3 years agoHopefully this'll be my last travel update lol
I just finished my 3rd week (2nd trip) to the center out of state that I've been working at the last couple months. I'll be returning there this upcoming Wednesday for another week. I'm unsure if there will be any more trips out there (or just to another center at all) soon after this one, as things are very up in the air, but I'm doing my best to balance things ;w; It's set me back with art progress, since my schedule changes on a dime and one day I think im working a normal 8 hour shift, then suddenly I work 13 hours open to close multiple days back to back. However, the extra income it's been earning me has been helping tremendously with getting my debt paid down. Not only do I get paid for the travel time and the per diem of $50/day on top of my hourly pay, but I'm also allowed to get as much overtime as possible without getting in trouble. After this last visit I'll be paying off my dogs spay vet bill, and hopefully after the next one I'll have a good bit of my laptop paid down. So even though the traveling is setting me back on my desired art progress, it's in hopes that I wont be in so much debt that I feel the need to work so many hours at my job much sooner ;w;
Getting off of that ramble though, I did manage to buy a microphone to use while out of state since there was a best buy nearby, so I will be able to stream again soon and hopefully much more frequently with the new year. I'm hoping this will help me get more art out once my commissions are completed because I'll be streaming all my personal pieces that I've been aching to work on. Ive got a bunch of characters I want to get introduced here!
I hope yall have a wonderful holiday season and that the new year treats yall well! Stay safe and warm this season <3
Edit: sorry if this was kind of disorganized by the way, I'm incredibly sleep deprived after the trip and haven't gotten to lay down to sleep and recovery yet lol

Traveling pt.2!
Posted 3 years agoJust as I worried, it appears that my schedule at the center I'm assisting with til the end of the month is having me work a RIDICULOUS amount of hours. I've worked 35 hours in 3 days, 2 open to close shifts (12+hrs) back to back, then a closing shift today that ran longer than it was supposed to and then this weekend will be both open to close shifts back to back again ;w; Monday I'll have off, but I wont likely be using it for art given how little time I've had to kinda just breathe.
Oh also I've also been sick this whole time ;w; LOL I got sick monday at work the day before I had to travel, and I thought it was a one day thing and I was better tuesday when I started driving, but BAM got hit with fever tuesday night. It's not Covid, MAYBE is the flu? I've got a cough and had a fever come and go, but other than that there was no body ache or anything. Just kinda felt like I was hit by a truck from all the coughing causing my head to hurt ;w; I think I'm at the tail end of it though, my fever isn't coming back so yay.
But yeah, I might get more of a chance next week to make some art progress, but can't guarantee at the moment that I'll have as much time as I was hoping.
That's all I've got to update though. I hope yall have a good rest of the month! Yall be careful out there, the flu and some other virus is making its rounds and going hard right now ;w; Wear a face mask out and use lots of sanitizer. And dont forget to get a flu shot if you can!

Traveling for work!
Posted 3 years agoJust a heads up for yall, primarily anyone waiting on art, but I'll be traveling for work for approximately 2 weeks starting on the 15th.
I'll have my laptop with me so of course, art progress will still be continuing, but I may be spotty otherwise with communication. Hopefully it wont be much different than it is now, but according to my boss, the center I'm going to is currently a bit chaotic and disorganized so I'm unsure if I'll be working normal hours, or open to close type shifts back to back ;w;
Otherwise, once I'm back home, I'm hoping to get back to streaming again! I've moved my computer set up into my bedroom and it's a lot more comfortable for me, so I'm eager to start streaming my art and games again!

Hopefully it wont be much different than it is now, but according to my boss, the center I'm going to is currently a bit chaotic and disorganized so I'm unsure if I'll be working normal hours, or open to close type shifts back to back ;w;

Commissioners Read
Posted 3 years agoThis isn't necessarily an important update, more just giving everyone a heads up that I'm trying to get all my current commissions at least sketched out so that everyone can have some progress sent their way to know that I am working on things ;w;9
I got a handful of stuff sketched out this weekend while I'm out of state for work, and I'm hoping to have more stuff sketched and sent out after I get back home later this week (so if you've not gotten a sketch update from me yet, expect something within the next couple of weeks)
I've said this before in a journal but I'm gonna say it again; I aim to get all my commissions completed before the year ends! ;w;9 Thank yall for being so patient with my irl situations. I've whittled away at a queue with almost 30 commissions down now to only 8 or so left! I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel ;w;
