I'M MOVING UP NORTH!
Posted a year agoI'm FINALLY gonna be reunited with my crabman 
angry_scotsman and for the long haul... you have no idea how happy and over the moon we are!!
There's a lot of stuff to figure out in the lead-up and the first week, but we hope to be settled by the middle of the month. ;-; We're terrified and excited and happy all at once!!
It starts 1st March, and in the leadup to the move I'm gonna be prioritising commissions over the Ko-Fi/personal work because there's alot of things to pay for before we even get there...
If people are interested in anything, I would recommend sketches/sketchy flats/reference sheets or my remaining smol YCHs. I'm pretty much over my wrist injury, but I'm not quite ready to commit to big illustrations just yet.

Whoops Wrist Injury
Posted a year agoI've had some sort of repetitive strain injury/cramp in my hands for the past week so progress on commissions and Ko-Fi took a hit for it. I guess I drew too much in January XD
I'm hoping to be back to normality by the end of the weekend since I'm over a lot of the ache now, but I'm still not quite 100% out of the woods.
I really don't want to be stressing over catching up on what I owe again, but I also do need the rest... it is what it is.
Also things may or may not take a big turn this month but I'll keep everyone updated as and when THE THING happens~
But yeah felt I should update here! Apologies, it's been a while.

Work Update
Posted 2 years agoI retrieved my iPad on Friday (THE tool for me to speedrun sketching and inking), and now I'm back on the grind. Doing what I can to catch up on my commission list, and then in the last two weeks of the month I'll start to work on the sponsored Ko-Fi pieces for this month.
I've loved doing the Ko-Fi work so far, it's been fun! However it has made commission progress overall slower, so I'm still in the process of wiggling and trying to get adjusted to the routine (especially with all the shit thrown at me the last month or so @-@).
It has been a great supplement but has not erased the need to continually take on commissions. I'm still open for work, but things are probably just gonna take longer than they used to for the indefinite future. I'll be prioritising the paid work of course but I still need some time to review my progress on what's owed to the Ko-Fi setup. I don't wish to overload myself and there's a possibility I need to make compromises for all of this to work out but for now things are gonna remain as they are.
I deeply appreciate everyone's support and patience at this time! As always I will post you guys as and when I have updates <3

Posted 2 years agoThings have been so hectic here I actually ended up leaving my iPad at my nan's... ;-;
If things are slower it's because I'm now doing everything on Photoshop. Not that I haven't done so before, but sketching and inking was far easier and faster on the iPad, and I'm a lil miffed at myself for forgetting it.
I'll have it back in a week or so, in the meantime all I can do is apologise for the mishap and work best I can.

December Delays
Posted 2 years agoI've been dealing with everything from a last minute home inspection, to the very sudden passing of a dear family member, and bathroom work this week. I'm exhausted. It's been nonstop these past few days and I've barely had time to process anything that's happened.
Obviously this means that I'm going to have to take my time getting back into working, which I hope will be soon. December was already going to look incredibly stressful on the leadup to Christmas as is, and this... well, everything comes in threes.
I'm sorry, I'll be producing work where I can but if I'm slow... you know why.

Posted 2 years agoFirst of all, thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has subbed to my Ko-Fi so far. It seriously means a lot to me and I'm excited to see how its first official month goes!
There's a couple of hours left in the voting polls for what sketches get completed (and potentially a tiebreaker vote cos one poll has a draw so far!) Do consider taking a peek at the sub page, my subs are the ones who help influence what personal art I complete and also what kind of big project I work on for the month ;w;

ANYWAYS I got most of the Moo-nthly sketches done already, so that's good news. A lot of time has been spent reducing my commission list as much as possible before the new month comes so there's less pressure.
On the first week of December, I'll be focusing entirely on the personal work that got voted in. There's two to come - a pinup and a multi-character one. I'll also be tinkering with the big custom project that BIGGEST and SUPER MEGA LARGE subs will participate in. Excited to see how that one goes!
Then in the weeks leading up to the 22nd I'll probably start crunching on the remaining commissions, as angry_scotsman will be coming to see me for Christmas and New Year ;w; I'll be trickling work in between our time together so I'm still somewhat productive. He'll be there til the 4th but I will be putting time aside to ensure I get the polls out for the next month as well as wrapping up muh list.

I have switched from doing doodles for tips, to instead setting up a membership tier system! And it's starting from just £1 per month!
I really want to start giving my personal work more love again, and I've debated doing some sort of sub system to get the support I need to make it happen. I think I've finally got there...
Here's the rundown of what to expect if you sub to my Ko-Fi:
- It's not a commissioning system, but you will get rewarded for supporting me the higher you go.
- You'd be helping me complete pieces that have just been sketches for way too long by voting which sketches get the treatment.
- You get a say in the themes I work for in a new a full render project and which OCs of mine get used! Some tiers also can have specific OCs featured in the images, whether in the background or in the main feature!
- You'll get more insight into my art WIPs (may stream in Discord more often..)
... And more! It is still in progress so the next few days will be a bit rocky as I get everything together. I'll welcome any feedback about how this runs!
I officially plan to start working on the tiered stuff from the 1st December, while I iron out the rest of the kinks.

I may or may not have a good chunk of mones going out in the next couple of months due to taxes and potential move with angry_scotsman so I'd like to cushion the blow of these spooky expenditures however I can cos I'm not sure what's happening regarding the move, and I just wanna be prepared...

Getting Back to Work.
Posted 2 years agoThe last fortnight has been a bit stressful not gonna lie, despite those involved telling me I can relax. But iIt's hard to decompress when there's a lot of situations either out of your control or make you wish you could be around to help more than you can.
Anyways. I got back home today and I'm going to get started on my backlog probably from Monday or so. I'm pretty eager to try and get some pieces done this week but I also need to get myself comfortable again.
Once I get myself through a good chunk of progress I have some pinup YCHs I can release. Until then, wish me luck on getting back into the fray.
I happily welcome any commission queries or concerns.

My laptop will be coming with me, as will my iPad, but I will not be able to do any rendering work.
I am still open for commissions as I will be able to sketch and ink during my absence.

At least there's a nice river to walk by if I need it.
