Why?
Well... I lost my job. Not even two days in but due to health reasons I had to go because I knew I just wasn't going to be able to catch up with the Christmas chaos.

I have more than enough to work on now and I don't want to be stressing over them too much with the state that I'm in. I'm still sick, and it hasn't really improved in the past few days. Although some of the snottiness and sore throat has gone, the cold is still present and I also keep getting headaches and stomach aches. Been really hard to sleep comfortably at night so I've also been really tired.

Progress is so much slower than I thought, and I'm so sorry... it's gotten to the point where I don't know how long these bits are gonna take me. Luckily they're all doodle sheets, and if I do at least one sketch a day I should get on fine. I'm quite stubborn when it comes to giving up and giving refunds out, the only thing I'm really worried about is for making everyone wait so long. That's why I want to continue to work even though I am ill, although it might not be for the best when it takes so long and so much effort to make something half-decent. I find it horrible because I want to be known for producing good work at a quick pace. Still, I guess WIPs are good, right? To show I'm at least doing something.

But yeah, slowly but surely. ~w~

I would just like to express a huge thankyou to everyone who has been helping  djpuppeh in his situation. As far as I hear we have both been busy with commissions and got some huge support on here and on FA. It's been wonderful to see members of a community come together to help a person in desperate need.
As far as updates go Shaun and his mum are secure for this month, however I've not been told what's occuring about next month's rent, and if his mum is able to get living allowances; they've re-applied but haven't had a real response yet. We have no idea if they'll take the appeal on again, or whether they will stick with their decision of not allowing Shaun's mum her allowance. With that in mind I am still gonna be donating what I can to Shaun in his situation.
I am now on JSA but I have no idea when my allowance will be coming in, even how much that is. My mother is also yet to tell me what I am going to pay her for rent, so any commissions I will get for the future, I will hold a percentage for myself. As much as I want to help Shaun I am going to have to be saving my own money for my own troubles.

I'm also having to make a portfolio for myself so that I can get the job I am looking for - being an illustrator. I want to put in a mix of digital and traditional media art, but I have no idea what to do in terms of content. If people want to throw suggestions at me for that, please feel free. I kinda need them quick because I must put them in with some CVs for potential employees, and if I don't do a sufficient amount of applications to employees within a week or so, I could be taken off the JSA just as quickly. :c And then I'm back to Square One.

Nearing the end of this month is also my birthday; on the 21st, I'm gonna be 19.
Gee... I don't know how to feel. It's like I feel like I almost don't deserve having a good day then, what with all the shit that's been happening this year. It's been a really mixed bag - good in some areas, terrible in others. This year particularly has been one chock-full of stress that's been ongoing for several months and seems to have no sign of stopping at the moment. Oh well, let's see what happens, what with family moving away and having injuries.

The reason for the raffle!

My BF  djpuppeh is having house troubles. His mum's got her money stopped coming in because apparently she's fit to work (even though she has a severe form of arthritis in her neck and hands. She has had doctor's notes and everything, but the form she filled in in regards to her allowances resulted in the authorities claiming that she is fit to work). Now they have to depend on his money to pay rent and bills on their house, but that is barely enough. They have just enough to get through this month, but they've had to sacrifice their deposit money for another house to live in, since their current residence is a horrible place and the landlord doesn't do shit to fix it up.

This frustrates me so much. I don't have much income for myself, but I don't need to worry about paying my way in my own house until September, so I give them every penny of money that I have spare when they have problems like this. He and his mother have had many problems like this over the past couple of years but this could be the straw to break the camel's back.

But there's only so much I can do, and now that September is literally around the corner I'm gonna be unable to do anything unless I myself get a job or get on JSA.

Guys, I know I've advertised my commissions before, but I would really appreciate if you could either advertise myself or Shaun that we are open for commission. He is extremely talented and just doesn't have much of an audience, which is a terrible shame. He really does deserve more than the handful of watchers and the occasional commissioner.

Alright, I'm back! I decided to come back a day early because djpuppeh wants some time to himself (not big surprise ), as well as to see his further-away mates.

On top of that, he's gotta go to a repair shop on Saturday to pick up the desktop I bought from him... yeah that's broken too. xD Something to do with the cables/ports because the screens don't show the computer on them.

But I'm not bothered, 'cos at the moment I have the laptop working, and better yet, have my tablet back! Shaun got himself a new special-edition version of the Bamboo so we can both do digital poop. xD I also got Photoshop back and now even have Sai... I only tried it for a little bit but HOMG it is AMAZING for blending colours! <3

With that in mind, I am going to open digital commissions again. I really want to have a practice at colouring in Sai so pretty much everything digital is open. :3

I got up this morning to work on the commissions I have on the laptop... when I turned it on it made really strange noises, and for a few moments refused to load-up at all. When it finally did, the computer said that it couldn't find a hard-drive. My laptop has decided to melt down. It does not recognise any discs that are put into the disk drive.

I think I have lost everything I ever put on there. Commissions, WIPs, and gifts, trades, collabs and commissions I was given... :(

I find it ironic I was complaining about the burns on my arm and then the thing decides to conk out on me. =_=

We don't know what caused it yet but I definitely have a feeling it was the fact that the computer was heating up so much. Over the last couple of weeks it was just getting hotter and it was actually spreading to other parts of the computer. Previously I had tried fixing this by using a gas spray to clean out the system and putting a fan underneath it all the time, but obviously to no avail.

I have barely had this thing for a year (would have been a year come the end of October). The worst thing is that the HP warranty receipt for it has gone missing. I always kept it in my bag but now it's gone so there's no way I can get it remotely fixed without fishing out more money, and I simply don't have the finance for it. :C

I am writing this from our awful family desktop as we speak. Where I cannot install things like Steam and Skype to talk to people due to my twin STILL not bothering to get this darn thing cleaned or free of his admin account. I also do not have Photoshop as a result.

I am now looking to get my own desktop... and now I have to get a new tablet too, on top of that. Whoopee...

In the meantime I am happy and willing to take traditional commissions. I'll probably have to offer even further discounted stuff to make up for the lack of digital, but I will need to think it through. =_= Any suggestions are appreciated.
