HEY FC DEALERS - Looking to share a table?
General | Posted 13 years agoThis might be a little early in the game, and I know the emails of who got a table won't be out until this upcoming weekend, but I'm trying to plan ahead a little bit. Is there anybody who applied for a full table early on/will most likely get one wanting to share, or do you know someone who might want to? I could send my payment for the table right away after finding out if you got it or not. :D
If anyone knows of even some good sources to go to to ask about this that might increase my chances (like a forum or LJ community) feel free to drop them my way too. I'm really wanting to sell next year, but didn't get my paperwork in in time before the announcement that they were tentatively sold out happened. ;w; I live in Sacramento, California if that makes any difference too.

Just writing to let you know I am indeed back in town again, just been getting crazy hours at work and dealing with some other things since I got home. My next day off is in a couple of days though, so I should have some new WIP's soon now that I have access to all my files again. :D Thanks so much again for everyone's patience!

Firstly, I want to apologize since artwork has been going slowly the past week - and then apologize again because it is going to be for the next few weeks. @_@
I'm currently working on studying for my finals and wrapping up art projects in school, and then I'll be going to San Diego for about a week to visit my family after the semester ends. I'll still be online during all this, so feel free to message me for individual updates anytime if you want to and I'll let you know whats what. Just between the studying, actual test taking, going to work, and art projects I have in school I'm exhausted and feeling like a chicken with my head cut off right now haha. I'm going to be working on things when I can of course, but this is just a heads up to you all that things are definitely going slower right now until all this is settled.

So yup, I'll be 20 on the 25th. Don't really have anything planned for the actual day (got the first part of my anthropology final to do though ahhh) and probably won't have enough to do a nice dinner like I usually do with Eric. Oh well though, I'll probably do a brownie birthday "cake" and have a calm night in if I don't have work and call it good. :3 My brother did pre-order GW2 for me though, and I'm going to be flying down to see him and my mom in San Diego next month once I'm out of school.

Ash is a good friend of mine, and her family has run into some financial troubles which is going to affect payments for her car (which has already been invested in for awhile). She needs to make about $300 so she won't have to give it up. She just finished pharmacy tech school and is looking for a job, and without a car well, I'm sure most people don't need elaboration on how difficult job hunting is already these days - let alone without reliable transportation. D: She does really adorable crochet work (scarves, rasta hats, heabands, necklaces etc) so please check her out! Even if you can't commission if you can make a journal she'd appreciate the signal boost. <3

Welp, finally "beat" Skyrim last night.
General | Posted 14 years agoAka got to the point where there's no motivation left to play anymore that is haha. I got to 3/4's of the way through level 53. So many hours invested fff.
Double enchanted legendary Daedric armor? Check. Thieves guild, Companions, Dark Brotherhood, Imperial Legion, and main questline? Check. (Decided to pass on finishing the archmage questline since I saw the ending when Eric played it, and was just too burnt out, especially on dwemer ruins.) I tried to push myself to get all of the words of power too before facing Alduin, but they weren't needed and once again I was just way too burnt out on dungeon crawling to keep going with it haha. D|

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
I started paying rent and am on a lease for a house, I have a non-under the table job, had roommates (and kicked them out lol), I learned how to drive and got my licence...Basically this year was a lot of getting some actual adult responsibilities haha. Wooo bills~ @_@ I'm sure there's other things as well, but I can't think of anything more significant than those things atm.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't keep all of them, but I did keep one of my main ones! I wanted to have better cleaning habits, and I succeeded. My house very rarely gets out of hand anymore, especially now that both of my brothers are moved out and I no longer have additional roommates.
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
Well, its already past at the time of writing this haha. It was a pretty mellow one for me, we didn't really have money for booze, so I had all of my rl friends over and we had root beer floats at midnight and just lazed around.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully. I did lose some pets, but its kinda to be expected when you own rats. ;A;
5. What countries did you visit?
None, I've never been out of country. :(
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
As Tina said, a little less anxiety would be freaking greeeeeat. I'm also gonna work on being a better student this year. I've really disappointed myself these past 2 semesters and its left me overwhelmingly ashamed of myself.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Uhm...I'm not really sure? Eric and I did have our 4 year anniversary on October 21st, so I think that's all that really stands out date-wise.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably the whole being more independent/handling more responsibilities with the job, driving etc.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Grades, and not making as much progress as I should have with my weight this year. :/
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
There were some injuries (like twisting my ankle really bad from falling in a gutter downtown), and I got sick once a couple months ago. The only major thing is that I found out finally this year that I do in fact have a GAD (general anxiety disorder). Its relieving to finally have a name to put on it and explain why I've felt the way I have since childhood, but at the same time its hard to not get those "You're broken" or "You're not normal" feelings from time to time.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Oh wow, I'm not sure! I think my copic set was bought this year, and as much as I love them I have yet to really play with them. I'm intimidated by them being so nice! XD
12. Where did most of your money go?
Rent/bills, pets, gas, and household stuff. :/ I basically live paycheck to paycheck lol, and I didn't get school grants this year.
13. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Humm..I'm not really sure.
14. What do you wish you'd done more of?
I wish I did more reading and drawing. Just general hobby doing in general.
15. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Letting stress get the better of me/slacking off because of it. :/

Adventure Time, Mahou Shojo Madoka Magica, My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and Battlestar Galactica *_*

I don't think so. Its really rare I "hate" anyone, and pretty much those who ever did reach that point can't rile me up so much anymore. Just general distaste and wanting nothing to do with them still. I don't keep toxic people in my life for a reason.

I...pretty much read no books this year as awful as that sounds. I used to read -all the time-, and this really saddens me.

Not sure! Mostly just delving deeper into genres I already listened to.

I turned 19 this year, and we had a nice sushi dinner with some friends. :3

Just letting you all know that even though I've been quiet around here I haven't disappeared or forgotten anybody. ;3; I've just been finding my free time really zapped lately between work, finals, and my mother in law visiting (which is nice cause she's awesome, but because we have a good relationship I don't get much computer time while she's here haha). She'll be leaving on Tuesday though, and school ends for me on Wednesday. So after that I'm going to have 2 days a week completely free to do commissions and trades for awhile, and I want to get everything I owe including my old trades completed before the next semester starts around mid-January. I'm going to keep working more over the next few days when I can of course, but just figured you all should know I'll be much more productive starting , and I'm really sorry about the lack of updates recently.
Thank you all for being patient with me! I'm going to make sure the quality is definitely worth the wait, and include extra goodies here and there where I feel its needed to make up for my slowness. :)

So after that I'm going to have 2 days a week completely free to do commissions and trades for awhile, and I want to get everything I owe including my old trades completed before the next semester starts around mid-January. I'm going to keep working more over the next few days when I can of course, but just figured you all should know I'll be much more productive starting , and I'm really sorry about the lack of updates recently.
Thank you all for being patient with me! I'm going to make sure the quality is definitely worth the wait, and include extra goodies here and there where I feel its needed to make up for my slowness. :)

Axel Update - Refunds

Axel has been doing a lot better today. I've been trying to keep on eye on him for going to the bathroom, but either my dad or brother left the door open on accident so I wasn't able to actually witness 100% if he went poopie or not, but I came out after one of them had a fresh one (lol ew), and it was closer to the patio and a little larger than Bella's should be, so I'm pretty certain it was him (she tends to go to the far part of the yard for her business).
I didn't end up getting enough to take him in anyway for an exam and x-ray to be totally positive, but he has been keeping food down and acting mostly like his usual self. The last time he vomited was yesterday afternoon.
I've sent everybody notes to get personal answers on if it was a donation if you want to turn it into a commission or be refunded, or if it was a commission to have it cancelled and refunded or keep it. :) Since there isn't a current vet bill to be paid it wouldn't be right for me to keep any of the money without earning it and having consent.
Even though people have been noted personally, I'm mostly posting this just so anybody else who was watching can get an update on his health and also have it publicly announced what I'm doing with the money I have received so far. <3
Normally this wouldn't have been an issue since I do have a job now, but it was just awful timing after having to spot my dad money for rent and our roommates moving out about a week ago (which is a good thing since they drove us crazy, but still). I am working on getting a savings built up so this won't have to be such a concern in the future, as well as (hopefully) getting a credit card next month for an extra safety net. ;3;

A lot of things have been going on (mostly just super exhausted at work now that the holiday season has started, and school isn't helping with that either haha) and having some transitions in my household. Good ones in terms of mental health, but transitions all the same and they're hurting financially.
I'm working on commissions here and there when I can, I haven't really had time for livestreaming for those who've been interested in it. :c I will try my best to arrange something soon for streaming, but as it is I'm usually only at the computer for little 15-30 minute bursts and then afk again for one reason or another haha.

Computer back up and running!

I meant to post this a couple of days ago, but it just kept slipping my mind cause of still being genuinely busy. The good news though is yes, my computer is back and up running again thanks to a week's worth of hard effort from Eric. We were able to save pretty much 99% of my stuff, and it looks like all my commission and trade files made it out safe and sound. :D We still have to send the hard drive back to the manufacturer, gonna do that either tomorrow or next week. I'm still working on reinstalling programs and everything like that, but at least for now everything is getting back to how it should be.
As for the delays, once again I'm really sorry. We're not out of the woods just yet. School and work are kicking my ass, but honestly whats really draining me is living with new roommates/strangers at that. So far its not boding too well on my psyche, and I'm just kinda a huge ball of nerves and depression lately. It doesn't help that its not just one new person I'm dealing with, its a couple and a small child, and I get nauseous over even needed confrontation like addressing cleanliness issues and the like that are already cropping up...
I'm working through it all though, and none of you guys have been forgotten. If any of you need to get ahold of me, you can reach me through notes/comment, email, tumblr, or my messenger if you have it.

Delays in art prodction :/

I made a journal recently saying there might be some delays, but its definitely changed to a uncontrollable delay. I've been having a terribly stressful week, and it wasn't helped a couple of days ago when I turned off my computer to go shower, came back, and it couldn't startup my OS. My new harddrive got corrupted/is failing, and Eric's been working on it for the past couple of days trying to save everything on it. Last I saw (I'm writing this from a friends house. Those who follow my tumblr know about this already since I can write there on my phone, but for some reason couldn't access FA on it) there are over 2,000 bad sectors on it. D:
The upside is, it looks like we might be able to save all my stuff/most, but there is still risk of corruption or losing some things so its not a guarantee so much as things look hopeful. I'm really hoping to not lose anything, but it leaves me literally unable to do digital commissions in the meantime. I'm going to try and work on the traditional ones I have during some of my days off (work + school has been leaving me really exhausted) so that I can still be productive. But as of right now, I don't know when I'll have my desktop up and running well again. I know it'll be around a week just to try and save the things we can from it, but I don't know what we're going to do about getting me a new hard drive after that since we're both really broke. We're going to be contacting the manufacturer after we save what we can from it to see about getting our money back/an exchange, cause this is total crap to have it fail when its only a couple months old. :I

Possible Delays In Art

This shouldn't really be too much cause for alarm, I just figured I should keep you all up to date about whats going on in my life recently since they are kinda important and that might slow down my productivity abit. It definitely won't stop it entirely though, so you don't have to fear hiatuses and such. <3
In short though, my brother is moving out (he currently rents our master bedroom) and I've been busy trying to find a new roommate to replace him. I also just started a new job (had my orientation today and my first day is on Thursday) which will be around 20-30 hours a week depending on how much I want to work. I -also- just started college again, and am going for 15 units provided I can get into this last class I need tomorrow from the wait list. 12 units here is full time if that helps give you any idea haha. So full time school, part time work, and financial/living situation stuff has all cropped up recently.
I may be a little busy as I adjust to all these new changes. It really shouldn't take me too long, and I plan on working during my days off on both homework and artwork. Just bear with me please in case things do take a little longer than expected. :3 As always you can reach me through comments, notes, email, or my messenger if you have it. Communication will still be constant if you want it and I'm easily reached even with having a new schedule. |3
