Please don't grab at either me or my bag from behind or in another blind spot of my vision, even if you're just trying to get my attention. :/ It creates an instant "DEFEND" mode in me and you're liable to get hit or make me cry.

This was my second year cooking and it went off really well same as last year, it makes me feel really good to be able to feed everyone noms like that and hear that they genuinely like it. Well, I figure its about time to bump that old journal off my page aha.

Anyway, I know I'm pretty quiet around here but like usual, I'm just lurking and not actually gone. :) I do have a lot of art being worked on though, and I recently got a new scanner that works with Windows 7 so I have some new stuff I can start showing and finishing online. I'm excited to start posting again and get through my current commissions since I've rediscovered my 'spark'. All because of starting college this fall too, who'd have thunk it haha.

Its been a double edged sword because it gives me less time to work on my art, but having those other responsibilities reminds me of how much I love art and the escape it gives me. Its enjoyable again, and I've improved a lot too in my style and have found a way I'm happy with outlining in SAI and all that. So there should be a lot more digital work now that I can work more on my style and not get frustrated and give up halfway through, as well as more art in general. I feel motivated to keep on improving again and am happy with my art at the same time, instead of before where it was months of me wanting to get better and seeing the flaws in my work, but feeling lost and upset with how to correct them. Its a bad cycle to get into because its very demoralizing and keeps me from accomplishing anything, since I don't like to give people work I'm not proud of. Then I feel guilty for making them wait etc etc... You all should see where this is going.

I have one scan for now I'm gonna upload to at least back up the journal haha, I felt abit inspired to post a journal about this after getting a couple comments from people saying they miss my art as well as encouragement from friends. I know there's no kiriban or anything right now but, to those who have or still stop by to see what I'm up to - thank you. :'3 I don't mean it in a self centered way, but its seriously touching and such a boost to my self esteem that there are some of you who consistently pay attention and enjoy my art. With having no 'serious' aspirations or expectations of being a notable artist, its a pleasant surprise to feel like I actually have 'fans' regardless of how many there actually are of them. I'll try to give you guys something worthwhile for it soon. <3

Alright, I know people get enough of these journals in their inboxes. But so far they all seem to be the same aside from the occasional one or two, so I figure I'll do my little rant on it to try and shed more light on other opinions.

One: For what people are trying to "showcase" the most, that is not your vulva. The vulva is pretty much the "whole package" and not the inner labia that you are focusing on.

The parts of the vulva:

* outer labia (lips)
* inner labia (lips) - What most of these images are showing
* clitoris
* clitoral hood
* urethra opening
* vagina opening

Between the "real body" meme, the fact people use references or artistic nudes etc, I don't think that it "doesn't belong on an art site". And yes, while this site is primarily furry, it does not have a "If its not furry you can't post it/nobody will like it" policy, so if its really oh so horrible...why not just skip it instead of clicking the thumbnail? Its like when Onta did a straight picture and so many went in with "Ew" and "Vaginas are scary :c" or "Would be better if she was male" etc etc. Its just a matter of be aware that its still a public forum, so if you absolutely cannot take any negative or ignorant comments, don't post it here. And if you'll feel ashamed or pressured into it, don't do it for the stipulation that "You must not be a real woman/must be ashamed". I'm not ashamed of my body, I just only show it to people I trust. Others are different and are okay with showing whoever is curious. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH EITHER ONE, because it is just "opinion" on what is "wrong or right", or "attractive/proper" etc etc. So both sides need to stop trying to shame the other.

Also, if its so horrible and oh god why inducing, why the hell did you click it? You can see tits in the thumbnail/that its a vagina in the thumbnail. Its the internet, you all should know by now there's stuff, ESPECIALLY ON FA, that you will not like. Move past it. :| For so many people that claim live and let live you sure are aggressive toward anything outside of your own tastes.

Which brings me to my main annoyance with the meme. Yes, all women are beautiful. (I personally do not like the "All vaginas are beautiful" because its very... objectifying to me. But thats just me, and I'm not going to go around telling others to not say "Vaginas are beautiful" and instead say "Women are beautiful".) :| Even if its not in a "shape" I prefer, does not mean others don't like it, or that I think less of a woman or that she is ugly because of it. I like women for their entire presence and form to make what I call "beautiful". But that's just me and my opinion. Which is just that, an opinion, and not fact. The fact is your vulva is designed to be functional (for sex, and childbirthing etc). And while I love people who have self esteem and appreciate their bodies (since there are people like transgenders for example, who have to deal with not being able to feel fully comfortable in their own skin sometimes, and anybody with insecurities or low self esteem knows that it can be very damaging to your every day life.) I find it complete bullshit that its now turned into "shaming" other women who have as you would call, "porn perfect vulvas".

I am one of those women who has what you'd call a "porn perfect vulva", except its not perfect. There is NO such thing as real "perfection" because that too, is also an opinion. I am chubby, thus I also have a chubbier vagina towards the top of it. However, even when I was a kid and not very overweight it was still like that. You are BORN WITH what it looks like. I have not had cosmetic surgery, and apparently to most doing the meme, women who were born with the "porn perfect vulva" just cannot exist without having had surgery. As well as those who had it before cosmetic surgery was ever around are just non-existent too eh? Apparently cosmetic surgery on your genitals is a very popular thing! :D

Your ethnicity, what your mom's vulva looks like etc will have an affect on what YOURS looks like. I even saw one person say "I just figured its from them whoring out constantly so it got all loose"... Great way to make an ass out of yourself. How about instead of "Just figuring" you go and look it up before you decide that to be fact. :| Yeah, if for example you're pulling on it a lot (as in daily for many years, and literally PULLING on it and not just having sex, it can be stretched out.) It has a more elastic function because again, it is meant to make sex easier/more enjoyable and childbirthing easier/recoverable. Having sex (which is with penetration, and not "pulling on the labia") will not give you as some call it, "beefcurtains". Between kegals and just trying to avoid sex that damages your parts, it will pretty much always look the same.

To make up for your insecurity with your body you think that shaming others is the way to go apparently? You start the sentence with "All women/vulvas are beautiful" then go on a tangent about these so called "perfect" ones. Its nice to know that I'm apparently ostracized against along with others because of the shape of my anatomy, which I had no control over same as you, and trust me, not everybody finds it attractive. :| The title "porn perfect" is also misleading and annoying because you people obviously have not watched much porn. As in actual, involving real human women, porn. I see pretty much a fair balance of the shapes of vulvas in porn, except for specific fetishes like camel toes and whatnot. (And even then the inner labia is very varied) Aside from that? They're as varied like everyday life, because even though these women are recorded, it does not mean off of the screen they are not an everyday woman as well and LIKE YOU AND ME, were just born with what they have. Seriously, go browse free porn sites for awhile and you'll see that its true. Not all "porn stars" look like Jenna Jameson. Its mostly here on art sites that you'll see the more stylized vulvas, and even then they're still varied!

One thing to also take into consideration, is some types are harder to draw than others/require more detail. I see a LOT of straight hair drawn in pictures, but I don't assume that nobody finds curly hair beautiful because of it or that nobody else has curly hair like I do. :|

Vulvas are like nipples or noses. They're supposed to be functional, and they come in all shapes and sizes (and even different colors - Which gasp, is just people as a whole!). And the types of nipples/noses people prefer? Is very, VERY varied. I for example think puffy "triangle" nipples are adorable and sometimes even wished mine looked like that when I was younger, and I know others who think they are "gross". I like short round noses, and then there's people like my brother who like slender longer noses. Its just a matter of taste, and its just anatomy. The human form is filled with "flaws" because its what makes us unique, but through our personal tastes and opinions those "flaws" or what I like to call "variations", since if its functional it is not flawed to me, are what others see as what is "sexy" or "beautiful". Those words are adjectives and differ with opinion, so stop taking personal offense to people who don't like what you like or have what you have. Otherwise your life will be -FOREVER MISERABLE- by worrying about the tastes and opinions of everyone you've ever met (and haven't met).

So in short, if you're proud of what you have and specifically want to showcase it. Sure, go for it, that's great. But if you're bashing others out of your low self esteem (or pride issues) you deserved to be slapped. If you're doing it only to show that you "fit in" to the group and aren't doing it because it actually feels empowering to you, I just hope you don't regret it later on. :/ And if you don't like it, its as simple as closing the window because in the end nobody gives a crap about your opinion. (This goes for all sides, and heck, even my rant here in the end doesn't freaking matter to most people! The difference is I'm okay with that and accept that people are vastly different in personality and in anatomy.) Love yourself, be happy with yourself, and be respectful of others instead of trying to put them down for your own self gain. Life will be a lot more contented when you do that.

I'm in a real bind right now, and I seriously need help. I'm having financial issues (aren't we all?) which have been increasing lately, including needing money for school books, emergency vet visits etc and my financial aid getting pushed back until October has just been causing a lot of stress. I thought it getting pushed back was the worst of my troubles, but it turns out I was wrong. (You can read about what the vet emergency etc was here - http://neive.livejournal.com/ )

My main problem right now is that my glasses have broken, and I've now been without them for almost a week. This couldn't have come at a worse time since I am in school and need them to do my work, or I'll be dropped from my classes. My family is unable to help me right now due to their own financial troubles, and we've tried using glue, tape, etc and it just won't hold. They aren't just reading glasses, I need them for every day functioning since my eyesight is really terrible. Just to type this all right now is causing a major headache, since I have to lean in to within 6 inches of the screen to read the text. x_x To make the situation even worse, when I tried to get a deal they were having at Walmart for glasses they won't sell me any until I get a new exam, which requires even more money.

It takes 2 weeks until Walmart glasses arrive, and I now only have until 9/14 to do my work before I'm automatically dropped from the class. Lenscrafters has it so that I can get glasses in an hour, but this requires more money than I was initially anticipating... Thus I'm currently opening up commissions/donations to try and get enough to get Lenscrafters glasses for immediate relief, and afford a second pair from Walmart as a backup so this doesn't happen again. :/ If anybody can please help me I'd be really appreciative. Even if you can't help out money wise, can you please spread the word?

I'm open for pretty much anything right now, including adult commissions (since I know you lovelies like those lol). I'll be more lenient on my subject matter as well, so honestly if you're curious just ask me and chances are we can work something out. I've been running around a lot irl lately with a bunch of things going on, so I apologize for the commission/trades delay. I'm gonna get back into the swing of things when I get home, since I was on a good system there for awhile of allotting a certain time of the day every day to specifically do artwork. Now that we have an air conditioner and I don't have any sick pets or anything to worry about (which was stress overload amongst other things going wrong - When it rains it pours...), I plan to continue that when I get home. :) So rejoice! Everybody will have their owed artwork very soon! (I'm such a slow ass, I apologize. But mucho thanks to everyone who's so patient with me.)

With me enforcing that new system on myself I doubt I'll have any future problems with commission timeliness, since its been a real nice boost to my muse. For the past couple of years it had been getting harder and harder for me to draw, since the urge to do it was coming less and less frequently. Not going to public school anymore seemed to hamper that a lot, since a LOOOOT of my doodling and such would be during class or breaks etc when I wanted an escape. But with the schedule I make it so its not an overbearing amount of time if I'm not initially feeling artsy, but enough so that when I get into it I don't even notice that its been much longer past when I could stop if I wanted to. Its been refreshing to enjoy art again when I do that, and I really hope it continues. I feel like I've been improving too, so this is also good news. >u<

I figure that once I get used to it I'll increase the time set aside solely for art, as I hope to get more serious about being productive, and hopefully have a more stable income from it for a short while as I'm doing school etc. That and while having income from it would be nice, I hope at least those who do still pay attention to my nonsense would be happy with me updating more than every few months (if that) haha. |D SorryguysIsuck~

- Understanding?: I can be. I try to apply logic to things so, if it just seems more like a weak excuse for bad behavior/I logically just can't relate to it or see the reasoning, then no.
- Open-minded?: Yes. I'm firm in my opinions but always open to hear the other side; Just be ready to have lots of concrete evidence and swaying information if you honestly want to change my mind. Pull the "I'm right, you're wrong /end of discussion" on me and I'll laugh in your face.
- Arrogant?: I can be, kinda like in situations with the open-minded question haha. Just depends on who you're asking that question to I guess. People who know me will say no, those who don't like me I have no idea what they'd say.

I get very good grades, but Eric/ dekar is much better in regards to brain picking on lots of subjects since he likes studying and gathering knowledge on lots of random things simply for the pleasure of it. We're very opposite in that regard in I've had to teach him most of the people smarts he now has, and he's taught me a lot of things in regards to science etc.
- Moody?: Nah. I'm generally very mild mannered.
- Organized?: I'd like to be, but in reality no, I'm definitely not lmao. :/ I'm not a pack rat or someone I'd consider really 'disgusting' though. Just prone to clutter like in my room and such.
- Shy?: If you're a close friend, no. If I don't really know you or you're someone that has a respectful aura I'm generally a "don't-speak-unless-spoken-to" kind of girl. Its out of nervousness and just what I think is the polite thing to do in those situations that it becomes an instictual reaction.

- In the morning I: Stretch, rethink the dream I was having, shift around and prepare to sleep a few more hours/cuddle with Eric haha. (I'm weird and don't sleep for very long in 'straight' periods. I'll sleep for 5 hours or so, wake up, and have to sleep another 3 hours to feel rested.) When I'm literally getting up I fumble around for my glasses and go to the bathroom/say hello to my cats and rats. (The rats are on my dresser across from my bed, and both cats sleep with us on the bed.) Then get online and check messages/mess around for awhile before finding food.
- Love is: The most amazing/surreal feeling when you love someone and they love you back, and is the worst experience ever when your feelings are unreturned. Thats about all I can think of in short without going on some huge tangent about all the meanings love -can- have, and then what it means to me. :) But that saying seems to be agreed on by a lot of people.
- I dream about: People I know/things that seem like real interactions. Most of my feelings or concerns about people or things I care about get expressed in my dreams. So sometimes I wake up and it takes me a few minutes to register that it wasn't real, and have to let go of the negative feelings I might've been having in the dream because it felt too real.
- Sexual preference: Eric's the only person I've 'been' with, and I'm disgustingly loyal/monogamous so its very hard for me to find others attractive when I'm in love. Otherwise, I'm much more fasinated/attracted to the female body (like, in public I'll stare at girls instead of guys haha) but I prefer guys for relationships. Though Eric more than satisfies all my needs, (sexual and otherwise) and I find him mind blowingly attractive physically and mentally. So its more just a fascination with the beauty women have to me, and not always 'sexual'. Its also why I love drawing them in the curves and soft nature really appeal to me :3
- What do you notice first in the sex you're into: It...depends on the angle actually. My eye just kinda flows naturally if that makes sense? So say I see you from behind I'll see like hair, back/arms, legs, and go back up to try and see the face. Things I like in both guys and girls: Nice faces, noses and mouths are very lovely imo. Especially short rounded noses, and fuller lips. Eyes can be just about any color but yellow for me to like. :3 And just...err...I'm ranting enough as is so I guess if people REAAALLY wanna know I'll answer that later? Haha. Otherwise this will become some huge boring list. I'm very fasinated by beauty of all kinds though, so I'm someone that 'stares' a lot and examines. Whether its in art, furniture, animals, clothes, or just staring at characteristics I find beautiful on the human body I just can't get enough of it. A happy life for me is one surrounded by all forms of beauty. Its also why I do put some emphasis on looks in my relationships. Its definitely not the most important, but to me sexual attraction is important (and it should be from mental and physical aspects) since if we weren't meant to have preferences we wouldn't. Hey guys, long time no see. So yeah, about that inactivity thing; I'm really sorry. Trades and commissions haven't been forgotten about, and I've been working on them when I have time/my muse cooperates with me. Though when both come together has kinda been few and far between lately. Same with to my friends I'm sorry for being such a recluse, these past few months especially. Its nothing personal I promise. Just me being a butt in response to stress that I don't spend much time paying attention to my messengers or anything when I do get online.

I've been having crunch time in regards to school since graduation is only about 3 weeks away now, and a nice art block has been following along with it and lots of financial issues at home. I'm hoping once school is no longer a worry though I can get everything I owe out fairly quickly though - Otherwise right now I've been kinda babystepping it or whatever you wanna call it. :c I'm sorry for the wait, but thank you guys for being as patient as you have. <3 Just a lot of in real life stuff going on lately that I won't get into, since in the end its not all that important to anyone but myself. Mostly things messing with my head that I need to get past or fix emotionally, and hopefully things pick up for my family so the household can stop stressing/doing the living from paycheck to paycheck thing a lot of people have been feeling from the economy along with my other normal responsibilities (school and the like).

Been doodling since I could hold a pencil, but I didn't start actually trying to get better and form a style until like 5th-6th grade

Females definitely. |D; I think you can look at (what little I have in) my gallery and see that. Mostly because I find them more fun to do...curves = amagad love

I don't really struggle with hair. Unless its super duper short like a buzz cut. :C If it has any spikies/flips I do it easily. Hair is usually what I enjoy doing most on a character.

- Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Uhm, it depends? I guess I tend to favor the right.

- Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Depends. Some days its side, others its frontal. >n<

- What do you have problems in drawing?
Backgrounds, FEET, proportions/anatomy...yeah :[

- What do you like to draw?
Ladies, cute shit, lovey stuff...I really can't seem to draw unless I'm in an overflowingly happy mood.

- Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
Erm, technically both. Though I don't find I excel at either. Traditional is easier I guess.

- Where do you start drawing from?
The head, draw a circle for a base guideline and go from there.

- What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I'm not too experimental with my poses/expressions, I really need to change this.

- Any tips for coloring/shading?
pfff lol I suck at coloring.

- How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
Ergh. Anymore? A long ass time cause I'm rarely ever drawing. D: Like..months. askl;djfa;slf Though I suppose literally when you add it all together, my stuff takes about 5-7 hours for a full picture depending on if its digital or traditional.

- What music do you listen to while you draw?
Trance, alternative/indie, ambiance, things I can zone out too and don't require me to listen to the lyrics much. ETN.fm is my favorite for when I really wanna sit down and work on something. It tends to keep my upbeat mood and just let me space out.

- How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Its hard for me to put my exact ideas on paper...Actually. It never freaking happens like that. .-. I use the eraser quite a bit. So I start with a general idea (which strikes randomly) and try to go from there. The actual poses and such just come as I go.

- Your favorite drawing utensils?
Mechanical pencils, copic multiliners, tablet, SAI, prismacolor pencils, and ghetto markers.

- Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
I love pastel colors and grayscale, though I don't know what color I use alot...:<

- Your favorite style(s)?
Painty style definitely, and really smooth digital art. Like Miu, Tsampikos, etc. Ughhhhh.

- Are you satisfied with your current art?
Not really, but we all need motivation to improve don't we?

- What kind of artist are you aiming for?
Never really thought about it. Not professional definitely, but it'd be nice to get some sort of niche in the fandom I guess. At least make some more drawing friends. |D

10. Yes, artists deserve the "ridiculous" prices they charge. Consider the fact that your average pic takes about four hours from sketch to final coloring: if you pay $40 that's $10 an hour. So no, $10 is not an appropriate price for a full-color, full length drawing.
