A big thing about multi classing in JaG is that sure they get more raw stats but hp is lower due to the higher xp requirements to level, and also more cencently everyone gets the same skill tallies but looking at the calculations it;s clear HP is much higher for even a double class.

Rather then recalcualtion a new hp/mp formula i thinking of adding a modifier for single classes a simple "x10" or "x100" or even "x1000" to make single classes a better match.

The next stage of my Just A Game updates includes calculating skill points, since that varies per level i was hoping to find a couple people who really like crunching game numbers to help me with it.

One thing I've been noticing is lots of mention FiM mature story telling, and i got thinking.

What if they weren't ponies, what if it was elfquest or similar, something more mainstream.

Wonder if i could get a group of artists together to do a remake with a different art style but the original dialog dubbed in.

My Little Pony Friendship is Magic isn't half bad, the intro is overly girly and a bit overwhelming but the show itself is far more sedate.

I may have to do a cross over with Claire, since she is also a pony(morph) in charge of a magical realm (the Glade). Granted her enemies are far more dangerous that Nightmare Moon.

Over the last couple weeks people have been coming over and playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer the Boardgame. Buffy has a lot in coming with tabletop gaming, a map, player figures, life meters for each good and bad guy, and 2 attack forms (fight dice and Magic dice). The game has 4 campaigns (bosses and objectives for both sides to win) with the players being enhanced by Weapon, Research, Artifact, Help, or Evil cards (evil players only)

In broad strokes the 4 heroes are Buffy, Xander, Willow, and Oz, and all bot hOz can be sired into vampires by the evil player (with the right card and a vampire attacker natch) and Good players can restore a sired player (or the Angelus pawn) to good with a card.
Oz turns to a werewolf when the sundial token lands on the full moon, turning him evil.

Sounds a lot like a Tabletop Campaign to me, so i'm going to try and get them into a table top game, since the main difference is no cards, and a persistent world (in the board game evil won 3 times in a row...that would be bad in table top.)

Movement is handled by movement dice

At first i thought about just getting them into a Aberrant or WoD game but now I'm thinking of translating Buffy to Abberant's rule system (since the nova point system makes things a lot easier for a new setting).

Willow and Xander have 5 Life so i'm thinking they will have the base 7 HL, Buffy has 12, Oz 6 (15 when transformed), Buffy is easy, add 9 bruised HL, Oz add 1 bruised (unless transformed to a werewolf then add 10) the tricky part is the dice.

Xander has 1 fight dice and 1 magic dice, Willow (1F, 3M), Buffy (3F, 1M), Oz (1F, 1M)
Vampire Xander has 2 fight dice and 2 magic dice, Vampire Willow (2F, 2M), Vampire Buffy (3F, 1M), Werewolf Oz (4F, 0M)

Another problem is the "card" aspect

Buffy can have 2 weapon cards, 1 help, 1 research, 1 artifact
Xander can have 1 weapon card, 2 help, 1 research, 1 artifact
Willow can have 1 weapon card, 1 help, 2 research, 1 artifact
Oz can have 1 weapon card, 1 help, 1 research, 1 artifact, and a choice of W/H/R

Vampire/werewolf forms can only have a artifact card, (well werewolves can't have ANY cards, but move twice the dice, and can deal dammange if the fight dice come up a Fang)

Fight dice have several faces: (a d6 with Punch, Jab, Kick, Miss, Fang, and Stake)
Fang really only comes into effect with specific cards (and werewolves) and Stakes only with certine weapon cards.

So thoughts about how to make Buffy the Tabletop RPG?

We all know the set up.
Girl cuts her hair, binds her breasts and wears baggy clothes to pass as a boy, it has even been seen in a contemporary settings. At some point she is outed, sometimes because some boy on the team saw she had girly nether bits. This usually leads to "she didn't need to hide/she's as good as any boy" but proposing it was a boy, just a /castrated/ one who had to get the medical equivalent of a vagina to be able to go to the bathroom.

would the boy pretends he's a girl? Reveal the truth? Would his team believe him? discuss.

Seems my laptop is on it's last legs, while it still works it is freeing almost daily now. It had a good run, 5 years of faithful service, 2 hard drives, 2 OSes and even a complete system overhaul but it is not long for this world. But I sure enough do not have the money to get another “gaming laptop” this one cost 2 grand in it's hayday to get something powerful enough to render CGI, do web work and play top of the line games. While the latter less concerns me, as I really haven't bought any new games in years (my most taxing one is Mass Effect /1/) being unable to write, do webdesign (my profession) and render CGI is a big deal.

Been Watching Likara's "Your such a Card...game" http://atopfourthwall.blogspot.com/.....l/Card%20Games and had a idea since I can't seem to find Yu-Gi-Oh players in my area. Anyone know of free video video streaming sites, the idea would be me and my oponent would set up web cams of ourselves and gives the other player (and any spectators) the address then we could duel the camera feeds (each camera would face us so our oponents would see our "live space".

Once it was done if there was a way to save the feed i could combine them and post the duel as a single video.

SMG is something new i'm trying, a prolog to Tokusatsu 2010: Boshido where the core cast start off as previous super heroes before joining up on a new venture.

One of the previous we have met in SMG bur before SMG Ryo was part of Japan's Premier Super Group, the Kabuki Theatre

Ryotoros Tomeda/Renna Bass
Bio/Personality: Ryo is a upbeat, honorable, and dedicated man. Originally a member of Japan's Kabuki theater super group as well as a Kabuki Player normally he is a expert actor and a little overbearing. He did not hesitate when called to action by the Emperor
Fighting Style: Ryo specializes in long range throwing weapons and is deadly accurate with them as well as being a expert archer. Knives, daggers, shuriken, and kunai round out his arsenal of weapons.
Notes: Ryo still has his Kabuki mask and Rena mask, while he does not use them normally they provide a backup arsenal should the need arise. The Rena mask turns him into a normal teenage girl while the Kabuki mask gives him the form and powers of a female kitsune.

So Now i need to figure out the rest of the Kabuki, a team that transform into warrior based on their white porcelain Kabuki masks. Anyone have idea of the other Kabuki Players?

Working on a story concent but could use some help.
The idea is a sort of mirror world, exaclty like ours but genders are reversed. Everyone here born a man is born a woman and vice versa, but the personality/spirit is the same only color by the experience of growing up the other way. And this has always been so so the problem becomes trying to figure out things like "if george washionton was born a girl, raised as a girl would he still be the founding mother? Would someone else do it? What about girl hitler? etc. How would history change with this one small fact altered?"

Going to be dropping off the net soon. On May 9th I need to be out of my house, the Landlord won his Unlawful Detainer against us and we are being evicted. Since we spend everything we had on our case, proving the place was uninhabitable we are broke. My brother and I, and our 3 dogs, will head north, hiking along trails and hoping to find a cheaper place then LA to live and start fresh. God Willing we will have enough money for supplies or it's going to be a long, cold journey. I will get online when I can, after all ALL my skill are in the net arena so I will have to try and do jobs on the go and try and make a 10 minute laptop battery last unless we can scourge up the hundred odd bucks to get a new battery, but a laptop battery would be low on our list of needs.

Been reading the Good Book a lot recently, (yes THE Good Book) and particularly Nehemiah. The chapter talks about the City of David/Jerusalem and how basically the Jewish People would give 1/3 of their income, the first fruits and their children to the temple. This was in turn redistributed to the priests, the entertainers (yes the entertainers) and the laborers. While the money was given to the Levities to pay for services/wares. The Levities in turn gave 1/10 of their earning to the church which was basically the "emergency/repairs funds."

The entertainers got free food and payment so they could just entertain for God and didn't need to "work in the fields" to provide for their families.

That's a pretty self sustaining society isn't it? Pretty cool right? Be kinda nice to have that community in our day and age right?

Watching "Son of the Mask" and i started to realize I kinda root for the bad guys. One of my unposted stories has Lucifer clawing his way out of Hell to lay the beat down on some generals who thought to start the apocalypse without his permission so instead of a bunch of angels and Slayers beating them down it's the Devil and his brood. And at the end of Son of the Mask when Loki and Origin make amend i loved that part, when Loki gets "forgiven" or does something good even if it short lived or part of a larger plot I can't help but smile.

Is that a bad sign?
