Back to Suit Making + Renovating

Hey everyone, since AC my roommate and I have been moving into a new house and renovating it. Finially have most of our room finished, its about 250sqft, which is so far the biggest room we've lived in. Definitely a step up from when i first moved in with him in a 10x10 ft room, then a 1 bedroom apt with 4 people.... we now got a much bigger room to ourselves again! We our now in a 2 story house with a friend of ours, i believe 3/4 bedrooms.
Anyway, after tearing out one wall and some of a second due to water damage, tore up the carpet and tiles underneath too, we had to replace the furring strips and drylock the wall. Instillation, drywall, mudding and sanding is all done! Right now we have primmer up and will be painting once we get some more money, as well as the new flooring, so concrete floor till then. Most of our stuff is in our room, been halling a lot of stuff here, many trips with the shortbed pickup truck that we have. But soon we will be done, with our room that is. Renovating the entire house, next stop is the kitchen! Ive attached some progress photos on my other social media platforms (Amino and Facebook Page @NekoRaveWolf)
But great news!! My desk just came in the mail!!! That means i can set up my sewing machine and start on suits again! Which is great, i have one suit im trying to finish by the end of August, once i get all the changes in and im starting one next week. Should be knocking them out more by the end of September when hopefully i have my work space cleared out and set up in the basement. Im so excited to get everything settled and ready to go!
To add to that, i might start drawing again!!! So that means i can open commissions again ^^ with our new roommate dragging us to FursonaCon in Virginia in Oct, i might do a couple pieces for the Art Auction. So if you are going, keep an eye out for some exclusive original work from me. I'll probably have a panel in the art gallery for FWA in Atlanta in May as well.

FWA '17 Recap

Started off rough, all my roommates had to drop out last min because they couldn't attend the con at all, including a close friend (fursuit con pick up too) whos ride cancelled 2 days before they had to leave, and i had to fill the room slots all in less then one month. Some had cancelled flights and then went back home, but i was able to fill some nights with a few furs 1-2 days before the con. We arrived there Wed, a little later than expected due to the storm, plus having to stop and check oil a few time (having issues with the truck, had it at a shop for over a week before we left). Checked in, finding out taxes went up 9% from last year (i alwasy try to calculate everything before checking in ti make sure everything adds up and i have right amount from everyone in the room(s) so im not short) but ended up being short about $175 bleeding into my con money. Glad i came prepared with extra, sadly i was still short atleast one person and i had to cover the amount. Then every night up to Satstayed up to 7-8 and working on Nyx's new suit and Wolfgang's suit to get them finished. Ended up missing the fursuit photo only by a few mins.... but then everything changed!
Once Naraseth and I finished his suit, we immediately went suiting together. As that was the first time full suiting in his own suit. We had a blast hanging out with so many of our FWA friends. We brought our speaker box outside and danced with a bunch of them. Including joining Sonar the Angel and Sora the Gryphon with more friends to a 5 star sushi restaurant for dinner. Leaving with 6 people in my truck, having 3 in the bed. Such a great time, i thank everyone who made that experience great for me and helping turing my weekend around!! After which chatting and making new friends all sat night till 7am.
Sunday continued the fun, we ran to the dealers room anf got some last min purchases, then suiting and running around once again. Dead dog is great just like every year, ending but still continues outside the dancing. Talked to a bunch of suiters afterwards and caught up with some familiar faces from previous years and/or Anthrocon. Staying up till 7am again, hanging out with some new friends.
Had such a great time at FWA again this year, i cant wait till next year. Definitely wont be trying to finish 3 suits before a con, including one with less than 2 weeks ahead of time *cough cough* Wolfgang *cough*
Will still be doing the room sharing, i still enjoy doing it, now have done it 6 times! Going to make sure i have the up to date taxes next time though. So if anyone from my rooms this year or previous years returns to FWA, feel free to message me again if you want to room with me again.

I have alsmost 3 full suits in progress right now along with a few pieces to finish up. As well as a few art commissions and the 3 pieces im drawing for FWAs Gallery, one will be autioned off.
To all my commissioners, thank you for for being so patient with me. I am stuggling to catch up and recover from lost time from my car wreck back in late December. Everything got pushed back untill i got everything settle with the car and my financial situation... i and working two just right now, ine being from 3am-8/9am Tue-Sat. I am very busy, and when i have time i work on commissions as much as i can. I have a lot to work on and o ask for patience and cooperation from everyone. I am working as fast as i can.

Everything got pushed back untill i got everything settle with the car and my financial situation... i and working two just right now, ine being from 3am-8/9am Tue-Sat. I am very busy, and when i have time i work on commissions as much as i can. I have a lot to work on and o ask for patience and cooperation from everyone. I am working as fast as i can.

Roaring Twenties Anthrocon Meme - Artist Alley
Posted 9 years agoI know I'm a little late for this things but anyways, I'm leaving tomorrow night for the long drive up there. So excited as this will be my Second year at this Convention. I'll be bringing my Portable Speaker to play music off of once again, i will have regular furry dance music, as well as 20's and Jazz for the Roaring Twenties theme this year. I decided not to do the dance comp... I had a spot in the preliminaries, but since i havent practiced or even stretch in a while due to stress and me finally getting a job... but instead im will be signing up for the Artist Alley as much as i can. PAYMENTS
Monthly payments accepted, first payment non-refundable, then min payment $100 /month. Anything under $200 must be paid in full. Mainly take Paypal or cash (of you are local). Military furs have the option to use bank transfers (I have USAA and Navy Federal).
For full suits, 30% non-refundable deposit.
TURN AROUND TIME
Turn around time depends in what is comnissioned, please give at least one month for fur to be ordered and the an additional 2 months to work on desired commission. Partials and fursuits take from 2-8 months after first payment is taken to be completed. That may take longer based on how many other commissions are going on at the same time. Please be patient when getting a fursuit commission. I do work 2 full time jobs as well as drawing and suit commissions (obviously). Rush orders available w/ 10-15% rush fee.

So i decided to finally accept my fate and do what i said i would: try to be in the dance comp for FWA 2016.... im really nervous, but excited as well.

Hey everyone, so I'm doing something a bit different with my commissions, I'm going to keep it and update it every month or so instead of just journals. Price sheets!
Im in real need of money.... im having some financial issues... my roommate and I are trying to move to our own Apartment for space. We currently live in a tiny room, sharing the two bedroom apartment with 4 people total. But the other two are ending the lease at the end of May, so we need to figure something out with that. My father is threatening to throw all my stuff out by the end of March if i dont get it out of his house. So we need space to put it if we can even move out. I just started a job finally, after being unemployed for 3 months. Only $9 an hr, im already looking for a second job. Im lowering my commission prices so i can get a better chance at getting some.
I've already paid money for FWA; my ticket, room and ride, so im definitely going! This is my Main Con, and i definitely need it to get my mind off everything. Because right after FWA is a really big trip that will take up most of my living expenses....
I will be taking a week long trip to Colorado at the end of April, for court.... I am sharing this due to the fact this is VERY personal to me, and will be giving a huge impact on my life. Also i really need support for this since it will be very expensive, and it very crucial for me to gather all the little bits of happiness i can get from FWA to prepare for it.... those who know of this event, know only parts of it....
A family death occured last year in may, and the trial for it has set to the end of April. I may or may not be talked to, but it would be great for me to be present during the case. It a huge deal for me and my brother, who is dealing with it all out there with his family. I cant stress enough how important this is!
I am traveling with a very, very close friend, who volunteer himself to help me get through all of this.... so I'm not going alone, but he is paying his own way.
I may open a fursuit head and/or Partial slot, i have some fur left over from previous fursuits. But that depends on if anyone is willing to work with me on a deadline. Since im trying to get two jobs, im not in school right now so i have some time to work on in. I can probably make a head with in a month or so. I can also do hand/feet paws and tails pretty quick, depending on the fur and patterns. I base all my prices for suit making on the materials used. I'm willing to start fursuit heads at $200, Partials (head, hand paws and tail) at $350. And those prices arn't static, all prices are based on materials and complexity. Reflect on my Life - Past and Future

just realized how fast my life is passing by... and how much I have gone through, which most 50 year old havent even been through... at age 7 my parents devorced. Only about 6 years ago in 2009 I moved half way across the country to North Carolina from Colorado. Only 4 years in 2011 when I got my first paycheck job at age 14. And now I have only 14 days till I ship out to the Army... my childhood really only lasted till I was 12, when I started to take a lot of responsibility and paying for bills. At age 15 I experienced unemployment from being laid off, and at the age of 18 when I had my first experience at being homeless for 5 days. 2015 I experienced something that no one should ever witness at any age, a loss of a mother unexpectedly, and I was 18....
But my life has been great despite all the bumps and cracks in the road, people I have met and became friends with. Things I have over come have made me stronger, I took and ran with it. I have matured at a young age to better myself, and I make that reflect on what ever I do. And even with a recent event that shot a hole in my heart on life, I'm taking the pain and making the best of it. Not giving up on my plan to join the military. I have set my mind on my goal I will make it, I have my motivation and it will over come all obstacles in my way.
So in 14 days I will be testing all my strengths, weaknesses, will, courage, and eveything about me! My goal: to become an United States Army Soldier!!! I will miss my life and friends while I am away, but I want to let you all know that I am improving myself and continuing my life. I love everyone that has supported me through my entire life and even more who stood by me when I hit rock bottom.

Wednesday I suited for 6 hours, Thursday 7 hours, Friday 12 hours, Saturday i finally beat my record, now at a mark of 13 hours (previously marked at 12.5 hours at FWA '15 on Sunday), and Sunday on suited for 2 hours. #Anthrocon the Headless Lounge is my FRIEND!!!!!!
I brought my portable big speaker with me i rolled around with outside and inside of suit. Which i danced a lot in suit. And i had a blast, a few times i had no one wanting to dance, so i just danced to get people to join. Ended up one time just a big group surrounding me Sat watching or videoing me dancing ^////^ I had a lot of fun. And a lot of people asked me if I was doing floor wars or the dance comp.... I didn't know I was that good to be recognized.... but just to have fun. And some of my new friends that i have met, have convinced me to try it next year. And I will try my best to enter the comp or Floor wars..
I had so much fun hangin out with people I met at FWA, seeing them again was great. I was really happy to out that people remember led me and just glomped me ^^ like Crescent Cruz, that made my day when I saw him and his wife Glitch again in and outside of suit. Along with Autuam that I ran into a lot at FWA, only got to see him a few times. I got to see Dusk a few times, aswell as Flip, Spook and so on, too many to name off lol. Also a lot of my local furs From North Carolina, Humphrey, Punky, Maroon, Otter, Relic etc (can't recall all of them as the moment) I loved the Dance Competition, which a really good friend of mine Nero Won third place in the Nomis division. All the compeditors were great.
I'm going to miss this Soooo much!!! You guys don't even know how much I bonded with people this weekend. I had to be on drunk watch one night with a someone I just met but cared enough to help them to they're room at 5:30 am. Then last night I helped a friend figure out what he's doing since he missed his bus and he decided to go somewhere else to live due to home issues. And because my phone died around 5am, i got back to my friends room at 8am, and fell asleep, then woke back up at 11:30am. One of my roommates and someone I hungout with here at the con put a missing persons report on me.... I felt worried at first then after they called me (once my phone turned back on) they were just glad I was safe and everything..... I hung up and started crying..... I feel so loved with people I just met, and just those two were worried and even crying because of me, the others I hungout with and roomed with were also worried..... I can't believe this Fandom is such a great culture..... I'm crying being so happy and I have to leave in 3 weeks..... but I will definitely stay in touch with all those who I cared about and cared about me aslwell.....
BEST CONVENTION BY FAR, ANTHROCON 2015 I LOVE IT!!!! I can't explan enough of how much I will miss this.... and everyone who had an impact on me.... this is my last Con for a while.... I love you guys so much, I'm tagging most of the people who had an impact on me (sorry if I miss you, tagging had a limit). This is for everyone who ALL had an impact on me in the ENTIRE FANDOM!!! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!
EDIT: Totally forgot to put why I'm leaving ^^;
I leave for the Army on the 4th of August for 6 months in Missouri, and I don't know where I'll be stationed afterwards. So I wont know the next time I'll be able to do anything furry related. I'm hoping to get leave for a few Furry Convention throughout the year. But u can't make any promises.

My mom lives in Colorado and just lost her job, now is unable to come see me for my graduation... i haven't seen her in over a year, when i did it was less than a week. This is a big deal for me, i haven't lived with my mom for over 6 years now, and i really want her to be here for this event. Posted 10 years ago**FINAL NOTIFICATION** Suit has become a dud, it is dead, no more.... problems with everything dealing with the suit and has been cancelled. Both ends of each party has taken a huge loss mainly myself with everything put into it and nothing out of it... i may open up one or two head and/or Partial commission slots before Anthrocon cus i need to get rid of the fur before August and need money paid for it. Sorry to all who i let down and not completing the suit, i have no motivation, and a lot of anger in this suit and cant complete it with no funds... again impartial apologize for any inconvenience to those who were expecting to see the revealing of the suit...

By commissioning me you are accepting my Terms of Service. If, however, you break these terms, you may not be refunded your deposit & added to a blacklist.
Please make sure to read everything thoroughly before commissioning me.
Payment is made through Paypal (Payment upfront, unless payment plans are arranged).
(Debit & Credit cards can be used when I send an invoice to your email)
You must be at least 14 years or older to place a commission.
You must be 18+ if ordering anything NSFW
Payment is nonrefundable IF I have started your commission.
If a Refund is need due to some issue if i get injured and/or cannot complete your commission, we will discuss how that will go. But if you wish to cancel a commission after you have paid your deposit, that will not be refunded. If i have already started building and you wish to cancel then less will be refunded, if it comes down to it. (If i have finished over half of your commission then only 60%-75% of the ending price will be refunded, if i have almost finished your commission then only 25%-50% will be refunded. The materals will NOT be sent to the commissioner) The reason is because i may have already purchased all the materials and have already spent a significant amount of time & work on your desired commission. If anyone cancels for any reason and i have already started building, i will finish the commissioned piece with a different design or modify the design and resell it as a premade/YCH.

I have not received a payment within 7 business days.
Extremely complex/difficult design to work with.
Reference sheet is extremely low res/difficult to see/understand clearly

Fursuits may take several Months to 18+ months based on complexity and the amount of work needed, as well as my queue.
You are more than welcome to ask for updates on your commission once you have approved the sketch (Please don't pester me too ). You can also follow updates on my queue on my Trello.
Commissions are priority, while Trades and Gifts are done in my free time outside of commission hours.

✰ About Me ✰
~Hey, everyone! I'm a 20 year old female from Colorado
, I have lived in North Carolina for 6 years. Currently I am now working out my life as I was in the Army for a little bit at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Now I am back home in Durham NC. I will be kicking off commissions soon for FWA and Ac of 2016.
✰ Likes ✰
~I enjoy: Listening to music, anything outdoors, motorcycles, animals (especially Wolves), hikes, camping, and hanging out with new people.
Above most, I love to draw: anime mainly now, including animals and humans. I love to do details in the design and shading, they turn out great, and would love feed back on them. I am currently taking badge commissions, just message me. I am currently writing a chapter book called One Rose~
✰ Fursona ✰
~I currently have Three personal Fursonas: My first one is Luna Wolf, she is mainly Silver with simple markings: Black tipped ears and tail, along with an almost "W" like shape marking on her muzzle.
My main fursona is Nyx Dagrun, a
. He is Gray and Aqua Blue with a lot of markings: the back of both ears are blue, with gray tribal tattoos. The blue from the ears merge into one stripe that goes all the way down his back to the tip of his tail. Two stripes on the muzzle, two markings coming off from both eyes. Both front paws are tipped with blue, and his Left eye has a scar over it. 
The newest addition to that now is his Sister, Nerva Dagrun. She is Black, Green and white, also a NekRyuWolf, her References will be posted soon

~I have traveled from CO to NC many times, and have been outside the United states a few time. I have been drawing since, well when i can remember.
I am A FURRY!!! As of May 2014 when I went to my first convention at Animazement and cosplayed as Lucario!! Technically in 2013, when i started building Lucario, but aside from that I had lots of fun and have many fans of my work on my Fursuit!
I Was in the United States Army for a little bit out in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri.

~I am currently trying to go to as many Cons and furry meets as i can While i try to get everything settled and stable.
I have already tackled my own personal Fursona Nyx in to a Fursuit, and i finished it by FWA '15, now im wearing to any con or meet as i can to show him off.
Next project is Nerva, here's a nice Intel of her suit: Mechanical wings
