Much like always, I'm late, but that aside..

Happy New Years!

When I started this year I didn't really have any resolutions or anything, I've always been the type to live life as it comes at me. That hasn't changed, but I at least thought of something that could be considered a resolution, so I'll go ahead and commit to it.

I want to write more, it's been more than a year since I last wrote something, and I've been just filling out my account with the odd commission hear and there. Like, seriously my last story upload was on the 22nd of May, 2022. I want to change that, I want to introduce new OCs, and I want to reintroduce some old ones, and I want to get more of my ideas out there. I only have so much money and I can't commission them all after all.

I have an outline of stories I want to get done this year that will hopefully grow as the year progress and I get more ideas. The outline roughly follows like so:

1. A part 2 for Micro Simps for an Unaware Shad. I really like the idea of an infatuated micro who willingly gets themselves into trouble because they can't tear themselves away from Shad's paws. So I want to do more with that and I already have some ideas on what.

2. An original story involving a new OC of mine, a bit less of the cruel/depraved mood that my other posts showcase. I'm into wholesome and friendly pawplay as well you know. So I want this to introduce an OC that I can use more later for those comfy and soff moods I have. I'm hoping at some point to comm a ref/pinup of this new OC to go along with the story so I'll wait until then to formally introduce them.

3. Stories to accompany my commissions, starting with Shad's Tyranny. This has been an idea I've had brewing in my head ever since the Plague Doctor Shad commission, and I think it's finally time I act on it, since I feel it could be some nice supplementary material to flesh out my comms a bit more, then have that be something I do for each new comm I get. That should be a good way to ensure I write often.

4. Rewrites/reimaginings of my old stories, let's face it, they aren't great. I was still nervous with sharing the things I liked and I was still new to writing. (Hell, I'm still not exactly an expert, but I'm trying.) However, I feel there's still some good ideas in there that could use a fresh coat of paint. I'd like to reintroduce some old OCs from those stories as well, re-contextualized with this world I have in my head now if that makes sense. I'm liking going to start with Goat Fun since I've been wanting to reuse Alek for a while now.

But yeah, that's my initial outline/plan of what I want to produce this year. I'm not gonna promise a date on anything since I know how I am. (Which is BUSY, I'm always fuckin' BUSY.) Hopefully having this out there will push me towards actually releasing stuff, and hey, if you guys have any ideas feel free to share 'em. Again, no promises I'll get to them, but I think it could be interesting!

I can't believe it! 100 people liked my generic OC or silly stories enough to watch me for more! While I can't say I understand your taste, I appreciate it none-the-less. :)

I thought it was crazy when I got my first watcher, imagine how I felt when I learned that there are more people watching me than I can fit into my house!

I swear I'm going to literally hack this site just to fix the fucking thumbnail bug it's driving me insane.

When you upload an image or a gif or whatever, you're given an option to upload a thumbnail. Perfect. I upload 'Friendly Relaxation' which has a cut in. All good and dandy, since it helps the animation loop better. Since the first frame is a white square, I decide "hmm this isn't very interesting, let me grab a frame to use a thumbnail." So I do, I get myself a nice neat frame to use as the thumbnail, and upload it alongside the gif.

Except, the animation is posted with the white square thumbnail.

"Okay what the fuck" I think, maybe it's just the format, since I pulled the frame out as a gif, just happened to be easier that way. That shouldn't be an issue, but this site is basically running on broken dreams and chewed up bubblegum. It could be an edge case, that's fine, since I can just go to the submission, and click "Update Thumbnail".

So I go and grab a frame as a PNG this time, shouldn't be any issues there right? Well so I thought, until I uploaded the new thumbnail and literally nothing fucking happened. Now I'm starting to get pissed.

So, I decide, "Well fuck it, I'll cut out the start of the animation, it'll loop worse, but the best quality is on twitter anyway and it doesn't cut away any of the action." So I cut the animation up, update the source file to the new gif file. However as I'm going through this process, I notice a little box "Rebuild the thumbnail from this file", which gives me another idea on how I could fix the issue. So I upload the cut animation with the little box checked, and get a new thumbnail, not great, but better than just a white screen.

Now on to where I think I'm about to be a fucking genius! I go back to update the source file, uncheck the "Rebuild the thumbnail" box, and give it the uncut animation with the fancy cut in. Since I unchecked the box, the thumbnail should be left untouched and still have the fancy pantsy thumbnail from before. Fucking sike apparently, jokes on me, that box doesn't fucking do anything. Thumbnail is back to being a white box.

So I give up, have a cut animation.

I need more friends who are into programming, that shit is literally like, 90% of my personality. I don't have anyone to talk with about fancy nerd shit, or people to share my pain when I complain about C++. Worst of all, I don't have anyone to make games that are fated to die after the first 2 updates with. This is a very sad day for your local Shad. I cry binary tears from my un-optimized Docker Container.

So, as I mentioned in the description of the account, I'm switching over from my Peridot's Posterior account to this one, as I realized I'm still not comfortable sharing my fetishes and such with my normie friends. So yeah, I'm totally fine, nothing is wrong, and I'm not having a black pfp moment.
