If someone were to take commissions using someone's free line art, would it be acceptable that, as long as the artist is aware of this decision, any funds made from the commissions are instead paid to the original artist?
That just seems like a good idea to me, I'm not sure if that's even a socially acceptable idea, it's just what I thought of.

Posted 10 years agoI didn't think this would ever have to be a thing, but it sadly is.
For the past past almost year, my father has had a broken/messed up foot, and he has finally had a surgery for it. As of April 22nd, my father has been off of work, and has been for near 2 weeks. We have been facing 4-6 weeks of little income, as my father was the main source of income for bills, food, etc. My mother has set up a GofundMe page to hopefully bring in a minor amount of money, only to help us with the bills, food, gas, etc.

"My Husband, Wally, broke his foot during the summer of 2014, he didn't fall or anything , a small bone in his foot broke during normal foot use (all he did was step outta the truck) so he was on a knee scooter most of the summer and into the Fall. In October , he got to get rid of the walking air-cast & off the kneescooter, he was so happy, for a few weeks, Then the pain started, his foot was misshappen along the outside (due to a bone shifting and making the muscle and tissue protrude) and was rubbing in his workboot, causing a large ulcer. The podiatrist put him off his foot for another 4 weeks and sent him to get boots with special-made inserts, The boots helped a little , but then again last week the ulcer is back, His foot is still misshappen along the outside and now he is schedule for foot surgery on April 22. They will shave off the side of his foot and he will be off work for 6 weeks.

Posted 11 years agoAs of an hour or so ago, I got back to Grand Rapids from East Lansing, visiting my precious mate 
zaylix at MSU where he's studying to be a vet. Normally, this wouldn't be so bad.
Except that I don't really know the next time I'll see him (hopefully really soon) and I just... I miss him so much. Before he moved out there, he lived 15 minutes away from me, and I spent every weekend with him. But now he's an hour away, and I never realized how much this would affect me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy for him, and there are no words to explain how proud I am of him, of making it into one of the biggest colleges in the state of Michigan.
But what hurts is not being in his arms as I sit here crying right now, thinking of how much I love him and how i wish I could have stayed just one more night with him... I cried a lot this weekend, but it was always okay because I was with Zaylix, in his arms, with him petting me and telling me I'm okay. But now I'm back in my house, an hour away from the man I love so much, and the mate that I need, typing this out for the sake of venting because no one in my household will comfort me.
Zaylix, I'm so proud of you, you know this. There's just so much that you've done to make me proud, and that's why I was crying Monday night, thinking about how proud I am of you, and the fact that I haven't done much to make you proud. I love you so so much, and it hurts just as much to be so far away from you again after being so close to you. Your baby loves you and misses you so much. She always has and she always will.

That moment when...
Posted 11 years ago...you realize your mate is the best that you could have ever found.
When I met Zaylix back in January, at my very first Grand Rapids Fur Meet, I felt something click. It's kinda like that spark... But deeper. A while passed by, soon bringing me to see him once again at Great Lakes Fur Con. After these two encounters, we quickly started talking via Skype, and I slowly started to flirt with him, by ways of "typos" hehe. We soon began to chat a tad more... Intimately, and soon things came down to us hanging out at his place on February 13th.
That day, I became his little pet, his darling zorrita linda, his pretty little fox. Two days later, on February 15th, we hung out again. This time, he made me aware of the fact that, despite only having really met me and interacted with me one-on-one two days prior, he had fallen in love with me, and found the one that he wanted to have for the rest of his life. With his arms wrapped around me, Zaylix asked me to be his mate, and I said yes.
The following months were full of trials and hardships, with numerous times of anger and pain evident. Despite the dealings of the past, tomorrow, July 15th, Zaylix and I will celebrate our 6 month anniversary. Sadly, he and I will not be able to spend it together, as he is attending an orientation for attending Michigan State University in the fall. We'll be having dinner together on Wednesday instead.
To my love, I'm so proud that you made it into MSU, and that it's finally drawing near. I'm glad that, after incident upon incident, that you can still love me now as much as you did then. You truly mean the world to me, and even if we fight and cry, it will always come down to us cuddling and making up, to us being a typical couple together.

Posted 11 years agoSo! I've been... Kind of dead lately <__< Okay, a lot dead. School has been kicking my rump lately, as has bowling. I've become more involved in my local fur community, as well as met so many amazing people.
