Not applicable as I do not have one, I pretty much don't care if an SO I happen to meet in the future is furry or not, they just have to be able to stand that part of me along with my general geekery. And believe me, I am a terrible, terrible geek. I have been tempted to buy DVD collections of Thundercats and Speed Racer. I have a 'Tankard O Terror' on pre-order.

*How long have you been in the community?
I haff lurked for about 5 years, I'm not terribly active. Maybe things will change down the road.

*How did you find furry?
Ever since I was a kid, I've loved simply the idea of animal people. Of being an animal person.

As for the fandom itself, somehow as a kiddo I managed to stumble upon Darkwulf's page "The Round House". I didn't find the 'general' fandom until much later, around the time I discovered DA. Not long after the whole SheezyArt debacle happened, and FA would be launched amidst turmoil and the occaisional DDoS attack.

*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
I like animal people. By extension, I like drawings of them, and I like stories about them. Even animal person-like sci fi races catch my interest such as Larry Niven's Kzinti.

*What's Furry to you?

Wat? This question maketh little sense really. Is it what the fandom is to me or what would make something 'furry'? Those are two really different questions.

*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
I'd be somewhat surprised really. People where I live tend to be a bit... less than internet literate.
To the point where I could draw totally furrytastic art in class in high school quite openly and no one ever came up to me with "Are you a furry?".

*What are your favorite aspects of our community?
The art. Oh lord the art. The boundless kindness and understanding, though this can sometimes be negative if it goes too far.

My least favorite is how quick people are to turn on one another when drama starts. It's ridiculous, most of us are definitely at least past high school age right? So why are we acting like a bunch of dumb teenagers?

*Do you use any furry terms? (i.e. yiff, paws, murr?)
Nah.

*What do you wish furry was NOT associated with?
Drama. Pedobear. 'Dog fuckers'

*How strongly do you feel about someone bashing the community as a whole?
Meh. Depends on what kind of insight they have. If they're just bashing the surface appearance, then they're just an ignorant cunt. If they're railing against the drama and cliques, they kind of have a point.

*How strongly do you feel about anyone bashing you yourself for your interest based on the media's aspect of what furry is?
I'd really be amused that anyone took the time if it was over the internet. In real life, I'd just be surprised since well, I don't really go about telling people "yo, I'm a furry". If someone managed to find out despite the epic lack of outward signs of furrydom (I currently have a full time job so I'm not even sketching near people anymore), well... hi stalker?

*We all know furries have alot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
Meh. Some I like. Some I dislike. Some I outright hate. (cub/babyfur mostly :/ )

That's about the extent of my opinion. I'm just a one furry and given the persecution complex the fandom has, ultimately no movement to 'toss' a subgroup out of the fandom will ever be successful.

A tigeress. Due for a redesign honestly, I haven't drawn her in two years.

Fat fur mostly, though I tend to shy away from the extreme high end of the spectrum.

I'm not big on the whole therian thing. I have a thing for cats and they seem to like me, but I'll leave it at that. I'm cool with people being spiritual about it as long as they're sane and not in the habit of calling people "mundanes". (I have, sadly, run across one of the latter type on the net before)

*What other fanbases/groups are you a part of?
Gaming mostly.

Yes, but I'm really picky. I don't like the current common design of suits and given my druthers I'd design something different, but I don't know how expensive or even possible the design would be. Ideally it would involve some form of mask + facial makeup and a much more skintight bodysuit, the goal being to have something that could easily have clothes worn over it. While a halfsuit could work, again, I'm not a big fan of the mascot look and sometimes I'd want to wear something a bit more revealing than trousers and a polo shirt. (Costumes are another one of my interests)


*How many of your friends are furry?
As a lurker in the fandom, I don't really have many furry friends. Don't have many friends in general, a good chunk of people I connected with in life either they moved away or I did. Or we simply fell apart.

*How many pets do you own, if any?
3 dogs. 1 cat.

*Aside from furry what other interests do you have?
Art. Gaming. Concepting. Writing, reading.

*Are you confident enough in yourself to say that you're a fur, no matter what the media says?
I really have no reason to say "Yo, I'm a furry" to random people. If for some strange, oddball reason I was to be interviewed for some newspaper article, I wouldn't back down, but that's about the extent of it.

I'm a lurker, haven't really put anything out there that I could personally be thankful for.

I have to say though, some of the ongoing sagas I've seen here, especially that of Farellemoon are pretty damn inspiring. The support furs are capable of showing to one another is pretty damn awesome.

So, I get the bug to find out if my scanner still works.


First obstacle: locating the damn USB cord. Cleaned up most of my room before I found the damn thing.

Myself... fallen in a big rut. The art bug hasn't really bitten for a while but that's change in the coming weeks (it is and has always been related to boredom in my case and I'm getting REALLY BORED)

Nostalgia is fun to indulge in in this age of the Internet. You can find things that otherwise might have been lost forever.


Chief amongst these are old cartoon shows. Where once they may have been forgotten, they can now live on forever in digital format, and if you're really lucky, in good quality.

One of the great mysteries of TV is of how good shows die off, especially if they didn't go through any decline in quality. (Whereas many sitcoms have lived on long past the point where the humor started to fade) The answer really is simple. TV is paid for by advertising, usually targeted to the demographic that most commonly watches that particular channel. Children's network shows need to appeal to children, essentially, so one reason that shows like Animaniacs get pulled is ironically because of their broad appeal to both children and adults with multiple layers of humor that you may not fully appreciate until much later in life.

Thankfully the internet preserves these cultural treasures, although finding them in a 'standalone' format not attached to a youtube video is hard. I managed to locate a download of Yakko's World (sadly I forget the URL :( ), but for Wakko's America I had to result to some dull trickery: simply recording the 'Stereo Mix' with any decent free audio recording software will spit out an MP3 of whatever sound is being played by your computer at the moment. A lot like how some people may have made cassettes from songs on old videos by playing the videos and recording that sound ;)

I really feel sorry for people growing up now. They missed what I feel was really a golden age of animation, when animators weren't afraid to go beyond crude humor that complete morons can understand.

As you can see, I posted a muzak. Not a very good one, it's just a preview.


Wow. It's been a year since I submitted anything I gave a damn about. Going to be rectifying that shortly, thanks to  ruaidri, who inspired me to make the muzak that I posted. It is but a sample of things yet to come.

Half a year past the launch of the Wii and stores still can't keep them in stock. I'm willing to bet half the problem is caused by assholes turning around and reselling them on ebay for obscene amounts of money... but that wouldn't BE much of a problem if stores stocked a decent amount of them to begin with.


I mean, shit. I go to Best Buy today. They have a fully stocked display rack for Brawl, about 30 games there, AND a Brawl stack in the main Wii area that has about 10. That's FORTY copies of Brawl.



ZERO systems. What gives? Most anticipated game launch for the system since the system was fucking announced, and the store can't be arsed to overstock on systems to meet the upswing in demand? Jesus.

Other game shops in this damn city are in the same boat of stupid. I swear some people don't understand the concept of lost sales...

Whenever the holiday season approaches, I find myself listening to all kinds of old holiday music.



This year, I have a pair of songs from one of the christmas specials that runs every year on the brain. The Snow Miser and Heat Miser songs from "The Year Without a Santa Claus". Catchy as hell.


I hope actually watching the damn thing this sunday gets rid of it. They're fun, but the song is a bit short to be looping in mah brainmeats :x

Well, my compy got infected with a relatively new virus.

It's the Virkel.F one that's been going around on IMs, and it's a persistent bastard, current anti-virus programs seem ineffective against this bastard.

So, I'm going to be taking this thing in to the guys at Best Buy known as the Geek Squad, hopefully they can get rid of this bastard without having to resort to the caveman tactic of reformatting the hard drive.

It may take a while, so until it gets fixed, I'm only going to be able to get online at school, and only for a little while, enough time to hob-nob in the forums a bit or look at a bit of artsy stuff and make comments.
