Regarding what happened in Minneapolis
Posted 6 days agoI was disgusted. Saddened. Angered. But not surprised. Why not? Something like this happens way too often in this country, and it is a fact that anti-Catholic bigotry is alive and well in 2025. In fact, it's one of the few prejudices that's still somewhat socially acceptable. (cough cough Kamala Harris cough cough cough.) And I'm sorry in advance if it makes me sound bigoted, but some of the most disgusting anti-Catholic racists out there are some subset of LGBTQ. Don't believe me? Type in the term 'nun' in the search bar on here with the filters off.
What also does not surprise me is the reaction of some political leaders. Jacob Frey, the mayor, said something to the effect of 'don't bother with thoughts and prayers. Those kids were literally praying!' It was not the most tactful thing to say, but to be fair, he hardly asked for this thing to befall his community. Maybe it was his way of expressing solidarity. But the way he said it reeks of a cheap political talking point, not compassion. Especially after kissing George Floyd's casket. To Mr. Frey, Gavin Newsom, and any other politicians who suggested 'this is about gun control' or 'this is about mental health'- please just stop. It's actually very disrespectful and kinda mean-spirited to us as Catholics in a time of deep mourning.
We need to stop pretending this is normal. This time, children died because of trans ideology. Sorry, but that is a fact. The fact that that several trans activists on TikTok and other places actively celebrated the shooting doesn't help. https://youtu.be/kCcqp3SGu4w
I'm sorry. I'm done. Talk to you all soon.

I might have an interested publisher
Posted 4 months agoIgnatius Press in San Francisco. I'll send them the manuscript by UPS today. The fact they want one after one query letter is amazing! If they like what I bring to the table, it'll hopefully be published no more than six months from now.
Book is done
Posted 4 months agoI've officially finished my book. 40 chapters! I'm pretty proud of it. Now I just need to find an interested publisher.
Pope Francis is quite ill
Posted 6 months agoDear Lord, please have mercy on him.
I've decided to try my hand at writing a book
Posted 7 months agoI might already have a publisher who's interested. Basically, Tom Brush the Squirrel meets Laura Nutbeam and falls in love. It takes place in rural Maryland, in the fictional town of Marysville. It's set in the real-life county of Frederick, though! I already have 14 chapters written.
All is well.

I shall nevermore walk in fear, sadness, or anxiety.

But hell still pursues me this week.
Please pray for me, my friends.
I shall ty to find a solution this week, depending on what happened tomorrow.

I am very sick.
Posted 8 months agoDear Friends,
I regret to inform you that I have kidney stones. I vomited again this morning, quite strongly. As such, I must check myself back into the hospital. Fear not, I shall be fine.
Update- the surgery commences in the morning.

Kamala Harris sucks (Slight rant)
Posted a year agoI shall be honest - I very much wish Joe Biden had not dropped out, believe it or not. Simply because I very much wish that he would be the one running against Donald trump, as opposed to Kamala Harris. She routinely violates civil rights for her political goals. She gangs up on senile old men who pose no threat to her whatsoever. And on top of that, Harris is a disgusting, loathesome, bigoted cockroach against Catholics. I am a Catholic. It absolutely infuriates me that's in an age where a simple accusation of racism is easily enough to cost you everything, that anti-catholic bigotry has ever so quietly become acceptable.
For example? Last year, the sisters of perpetual indulgence, a group of drag nuns, saw no moral problem with parading their blasphemous, rude, and incredibly racist filth in public through the streets of Los angeles. I look upon them the same way of black person would likely look upon a minstrel show. Where the media covered it at all, they basically said that we needed to get over it, or stop being so sensitive. Okay, they may not have directly said that, but that is what they implied.
I know that my stance may offend some people. But frankly speaking - when it comes to bigotry and prejudice, it is in your better interest to cry out before you are hurt, not after. It does no good to say that the frat is merely in the air. A blow from a hatchet can only be redirected while it is still in the air. (I'm paraphrasing G.K Chesterton)
Only anti-Semitism infuriates me more.

Posted a year agoSo Israel has come for Rafah, have they? Excellent. I hope they conquer Gaza at the edge of a gunpoint, shoot every single Hamas fighter dead, and forcibly civilize and colonize that country. If anyone deserves it more, it is them. Child-killing bigots get no sympathy from me.
Pain pursues me, it would seem
Posted a year agoI'm not sorry for anything I wrote, Sarah. None of it. I look forward to the day you come back to reality.
Also, to everyone else - my Dad is in the hospital. Please pray for us. In all likeliness, he will be fine. But please pray for us.

How to tell if you're an anti-Semite in 2024
Posted a year agoHave you ever felt the need to scream "free Palestine!" at a Jewish person?
If yes, you're probably anti-Semitic.
Do you think the Oct. 7 massacre never happened, and Israel/ the Jews just made it all up?
If yes, you're probably anti-Semitic. (Hmmm....the idea of the Jews making up a massacre to get free land, now where have I heard this canard before?)
Do you think Israel is deliberately committing genocide for the crime of wanting to defend itself and destroy Hamas?
If yes, you're probably anti-Semitic.
Have you ever felt the need to stand in the way of a public place to deny Jews entry, regardless of rationale?
If yes, you're probably anti-Semitic.
Any others?

Anti-semites are pond scum. (Slight rant)
Posted a year agoI loathe and detest anti-Semites. With a fiery, red-hot passion. Despite not being Jewish myself. Why? I think because of their arrogant, ignorant self-righteousness. When it comes to the Palestinian issue, their logic seems to start and stop at "Dur hur hur white man always bad dur hur hur brown man always good." It is so pervasive on twitter. They're like cockroaches. You can stomp on them as much as you like; they just keep coming back for more!

What I have been doing this year thus far.
Posted a year agoTastefully borrowed from
Landonbay
I have been contemplating going back to school. I think I will succeed in doing so. I have recently been accepted into Bowie State and Towson Universities. I desire deeply to become either a schoolteacher or a school librarian. I have ample room in my heart for both. I absolutely adore teaching and being a teacher.
In the meantime, I keep waiting for things to get better, and so far, it looks like they will, in abundance.

Help me buy diapers for my Church's Food Pantry?
Posted a year agoHey guys. It's cool if you don't want to, but I've started a gofundme to help my Church buy enough diapers. There are a lot of poor families in my area who need diapers for their kids, especially in the larger sizes. I'm hoping to raise enough money to buy one large pack each of Luvs sizes 4, 5, 6, and 7. If you could check it out, that would be great, otherwise, feel free to simply spread the word. Every little bit helps.

I hate taxes.
Posted a year agoAnd not just because of the obvious. It would be tolerable if they could stop at income. But they don't. It feels like the second the gov't learns we have some money left over after working too hard, it demands its piece at the edge of a legal spearpoint. Property taxes, sales taxes, capital gains taxes, etc. I hate the last one the most. Why does the gov't get a slice of the cake it actively hindered making?
What prompted this, you might ask? I switched WiFi providers recently, only to find WiFi taxes are a thing now in my area. That jacks up the price considerably more than what was advertised. I despise the gov't for what feels like its greed, and its arrogance in telling us to be grateful for it.

It would seem my grandfather does not wish to see me.
Posted a year agoHe has come to believe certain things he should not believe. My closest friends on here will likely know what I'm talking about.
I won't pretend I'm not angry. I want to say sorry for everything on his deathbed. I wanted to tell him thank you for ensuring I did not wind up bankrupt or homeless. I bent over backwards to make things right. And this is the way he thinks. Well. That doesn't say anything about me. That says everything about him and what his character was always like.
I will forgive him though, if I have not already. And I certainly fast and pray for his soul when he passes. He will surely need it.

It's okay to be Jewish.

(Disclaimer- I'm not Jewish. I'm actually a strong Catholic. But it infuriates me how certain stupid people argue anti-Semitism doesn't count as racism because something something white man bad. Everyone counts, or no one counts.)

Posted a year agoHoping for more in 2024
Posted a year agoDear friends,
My main resolution in 2024 is to survive. Honestly? 2023 was probably the worst year of my life, bar none. My friends who are close to me will know why, and why I need to stay quiet about the what. But the rational optimist in me says the worst is over, and I shall rebuild.
Among the bad things I expect this year- my grandfather, in all likeliness, shall die. I need to talk to him and patch things over between us while there is time.
Among the good- I have taken to running 5 miles three times a week, and have already lost 15 lbs in 2 months. I hope to get to my ideal weight, which is 130 lbs. I currently weigh 185.
I hope also to return to school. My dad was a college prof, since retired. That means I can go to any public college in my state without having to pay tuition, and since I have my own place, I don't have to pay room and board either. And I have nothing but time on my hands, so why not go for another Master's degree? It's a tad ironic that being a student is easier in this day and age than being employed full time.
So that's my set of resolutions. Wish me luck.

This makes me angry. (More anti-semitism)
Posted a year agoRacism is not okay. Racism is not okay. I repeat- racism, real racism, the kind that proclaims certain people deserve to die or be hurt for being different, is not okay. Why do certain stupid people think it is okay all of a sudden?!
The guy who did it isn't even being charged with hate crimes. Not that I care much for hate crime laws as a rule- I know full well how they can be misused- but if anyone deserved it more, surely this guy does?

I don't understand. (Trigger warning: Anti-semitism)
Posted a year agoEven if you believe Israel is a white supremacist colonialist state, which it isn't, how does that justify being a jerk to random Jews? I also don't understand why some idiots have been demonstrating in favor of Hamas and calling for a cease-fire when Israel is the victim here. (For crying out loud- Hamas literally sliced baby's heads off! As far as I'm concerned, Israel can do whatever it wants to them.) It's like having a rally to "defend German honor" right after the Nazis invade Poland.
