ANE PANELS!!!!!!!

So, I have a couple Anthro New England panels I'll be doing next year. (I say next year like it's a mile away, but I know it'll be here fast O.o)
The first one will be "Make Me A Fursona" The short and sweet is that it will allow newcomers to the fandom, as well as those looking for something new, to discuss their ideas for their own fursona and allow a panel of artists to take those ideas and flesh them out into something awesome.
Each artist will take a participant's ideas and come up with an original description and a price for the commission. The contestant then decides whose ideas they like best and a commission is sold. The artist gets some paid work (and free advertising of their skill ;)) and the attendee gets a sweet new fursona they get to show off the rest of the con.
If you know any artists interested, I'll be looking for about 4-5. They don't need to be a great artist, just interested in doing something cool and fun. ^_^ I'm anticipating this event to happen sometime that Friday afternoon. (Also, I'm expecting the commissions to price around anywhere between $15-$40 and hopefully done by the end of that day.)

Still a work in progress, but I've been talking to the ANE staff about possibly putting together a "Late Night" panel in which a foxy host (me) does a little Graham Norton style entertainment for an hour or so. This would occur at the same time as the late night raves as an alternative for those adult furs wanting to stay up, but not interested in dancing.
So far I've worked out that I'll be interviewing some of the guests of honor, playing some fun games with the crowd, and generally trying to be somewhat entertaining. ^_^
There will likely be a few naughty games and other fun surprises as well!
This will be ADULTS ONLY and THERE WILL BE SECURITY ON HAND IF THINGS GET WEIRD!
But first, I want to test the waters with you guys. What would you like/not like to see at the Late Night event? I've never been to a lot of furry conventions, so you guys need to tell me what works (and what totally doesn't).

Tail Time

As some of you know, i accidentally ruined my good tail. (Was not my fault.)
Still, I'd been debating on replacing it for a while anyway. It was black and Nester's tail isn't black, it's orange and huge.
So here's the thing. I want to get a new orange tail, but I'm not sure where to get it from. I loved the black one from Pawstars. It fit nicely and was soft and cuddly. Plus i really like the belt loop attachment which allowed it to sway and be sit on and play with without discomfoet.
I think i want to get two tails. One will be a casual, normal or larger sized orange tail and the other will be the official Nester tail. That second one will need to be custom made to be 4-6 feet long, enough to be partly drapped over hthe shoulder. To support,the size, i,was planning on having strong magnets inserted into an under vest with small metal plates or something inserted into the tail so it can be easily secured and pulled loose when needed.
If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I'd love to order something for Halloween if possible for the basic tail.

Some Words of Appreciation

I can't tell you just how much it means to me to feel so accepted by the NE furry community.
Growing up, I never had the chance to meet other furs and growing up in the place I did, my life was already hell from an early age as rumors of me being gay circulated from second grade onward. The last thing I wanted was anything else to be punished for by my peers, so being a furry was something I kept to myself and never acted upon.
When I was finally free and ready to live my life, I barely made it out of closet because I was so scared and traumatized from all that I went through and all that I'd been told by my tormentors. I got so used to hiding it, that by the time I landed in a place where I could be myself and be safe, it still took a lot of support and help from close friends.
Coming out was hard, but admitting to being a furry was still uncomfortable at first. Eventually I did to my close friends and they seemed curious and interested, but more importantly they were supportive. Still, I probably wouldn't have attended the Maltese Furcon if not for my beloved boyfriend and his insistence that I meet other furs in real life.
My character, Nester, never really got around much online. I could never seem to find a good online source to meet other furs and I don't draw, so that doesn't help either. Having to keep my furry side a secret until I was out of my hometown, and then later out of China (yes, I lived in China), I was always really limited with what I could do. I could never attend meets or cons, and I didn't want my character to get popular for fear of being found out. Still, since attending the convention I feel like I've been constantly gaining momentum in settling into the fandom after all these lonely years of having so few people I could connect with and even fewer of them being other furries.
I may not seem like it, when I'm smiling and hopping about with ease and confidence, deep down I'm fragile, scared and worried that maybe I'm too old or too out of touch with the community to really be a part of the furry family. But when I look to the hugs, smiles and kind words of the furs I've become friends with these last few months, I know in my heart that it's never too late to be who you were always meant to be and the thing that makes you happiest in life.

Depends on the country I’m in, doesn’t it? ;) I mean, I’d be super rich if I was in Zimbabwe. My family has a large estate, but there’s no mountains of money in it if you must know. Just enough to pay the taxes and staff, etc.

Not as many as I’d like, but the few friends I do have are really great. ^_^
