Happy 7th Anniversary!
Posted 2 years agoLan and Degorth here, wishing Neurofurs a happy 7th anniversary!
A lot of new faces (and brains) have joined us since our humble beginnings, and this year was no different. 2023 has been another great year for the neuro art, and it's not over yet! Thank you, everyone, and may we have many more years to come!

State of Neurofurs, 2022
Posted 4 years agoHey there, degorth here!
We had yet another wonderful year of brainy community activity! We greatly appreciate everyone contributing to the gallery and hanging out with us in the Discord. If you're still watching the FA and want to hang with us, please check out the Discord link on the page and say hello!
We're experimenting with adding a Wiki-like site to host information regarding the Discord and characters present there, more info is available in the chat.
Here's to another year of fun!

Posted 11 years agoSo, an anonymous user brought up an interesting point about submission tags. When posting brain-related work, it might be a good idea to include tags such as "brainplay" or "neurophilia," making it easier to find your work among things that involve characters named Brain, but having nothing to do with brainplay.

Submission and Suggestion Guidelines
Posted 11 years agoAs the founders, we made this group for neurophiliacs and to gather brain-related artwork and submissions of all kinds. It's why the group exists!
That being said, we need to set a few ground rules and make a couple things clear. The first of which is the purpose of our main gallery and favorites gallery:
-Main Gallery: The main gallery is intended for works made specifically for submission to the group. These works will either have the group as their central theme, be made by the founders and/or other group members specifically for the group's enjoyment, or they'll be pieces made for a group event or contest.
-Favorites: The favorites gallery is where suggested pieces and most submissions will go. The favorites gallery is intended for works that aren't specifically made for the group. These works aren't made for the group, but they fit the brain-theme that we all came here to enjoy. Consider this the group's collection of any and all brain-themed pics.
Now that's out of the way we can set some simple ground rules:
Rules for Submissions and Suggestions:
1. YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE GROUP TO SUBMIT OR SUGGEST WORK.
2. Refer to the "What is Neurophilia?" section on the front page. We don't want any non-neurophilia pieces being submitted or suggested to the group.
3. In addition to that, remember that we do not condone pieces with scat, watersports, or excessive gore as the main focus. We don't want to make our members uncomfortable.
4. For submissions only: If you are submitting a commission piece you must have permission of the original artist. No exceptions. For contests, commissioned pictures will be ineligible for entry unless stated otherwise.
5. For recommendations: Please do not tell us that we can "add anything in your gallery." Combing through an entire gallery can take time and effort and we may decline your request if your gallery is too large. We recommend that you give us a few specific pieces to start with, then if you're okay with us adding more say so. Then we may add more pieces if we see art we like.
NOTE: This list of rules is not exhaustive and may be added to, changed, or updated at any time. All members are expected to follow the rules at all times.
