Appreciation is defined as showing gratitude and thanks. If somebody does something nice for you, it's only right that you at least thank them or even better do something in return, right? Nope, not in my case. I can do everything for someone, bend over backwards, jump through hoops, do the Charleston on top of a flagpole for someone, but the moment I try to do something for myself I'm suddenly a selfish asshole.

What's up with that? It's enough for me to throw my arms in the air and scream "Screw it!" and be that selfish asshole I'm painted to be. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Well, I didn't get to attend FWA after all. I had planned it by any means necessary, but in the end, I'm kind of glad I didn't. My main motive of going was to meet some artists here and catch up with some friends in my local furry group, maybe enter the talent show with my impressions, but what ultimately stopped me was hearing about the car break-ins and other nonsense that happened. Call me Mr. Cautious but seeing as I don't yet have my own car, I can't afford to let anything happen to any car I borrow. Even if I did have my own, I'd be just as cautious, if not more so.

I heard the main victim was a fursuiter/media van and a 2006 Ford Taurus, both belonging to the same person/entity, but there may be more undocumented cases. At any rate, I'm kind of glad I sat this one out, but to those of you who went, was it fun up there or were there other shenanigans up there?

Good news: I might actually be able to go, provided the guy I'm talking with gets an OK to have me with them. That being said, I might be a nervous wreck, so yeah (Social anxiety is the pits, man....eep)

Make new friends, be more involved in the furry community, dip my toes in the water as it were.

So my buddy Bristan convinced me to check out FA's beta interface, and holy Hell is it amazing. There's still a few bugs because, you know, this is a beta after all, but overall I love it compared to the old UI. If you want to check it out, you won't regret it, as everything's nice and organized, the new FA logo is pretty sweet, and checking your mail is easier than before. So is browsing for art.

Now I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, since FA surely isn't paying me for an endorsement, but I figured some of you might like to know my thoughts on this and again, I'd like to thank for giving me the heads up. Appreciate it man

Yeah, I'm around middle of the road about going. On one hand, I have the money to go and enjoy myself, but the problem is that I don't have anyone to stay with and if I did, it's probably too little too late and I don't have a ride (I'd drive myself, but I don't trust myself)

But to anyone who watches me or anyone I watch happens to go, and I'm not there, have fun for me and enjoy yourselves. If I do go, however, chances are I'll be in costume as The Undertaker or the FNAF security guard.

Good news: I'm gaining more watchers than I thought I ever could. Thanks to everyone who has enough interest in my work to want to see more. It's the ultimate motivator, aside from bettering yourself. Intrinsic satisfaction.

Bad news: Despite all that, I absolutely feel like garbage. My spirits are down and regardless of watchers and whatnot, I just feel worthless. Anyone willing to give me a hug? I need one.

That being said, I'm still getting used to things in this little subculture/family deal. I haven't even made a fursona yet (Yes, I'm pathetic) but I'm brainstorming one.
