My future with NordicFuzzCon
General | Posted 9 years agoSome of you may have seen that I recently (last October) moved from Germany to the United States to work in research at a University. This was a big step affecting a lot of things in my life. As you can expect, also my involvement in running NordicFuzzCon – by now Europe’s third largest furry convention – was not left unharmed.
The NordicFuzzCon Board, my co-chairman Trax and myself tried to keep everything running despite me now living nearly 8000 km and eight hours time difference away. I think we managed to pull it off this time and all of us helped together to realize a wonderful NFC 2016 for over 500 attendees.
This was only possible working around a lot of problems. With a lot of sadness I had to realize that these compromises cannot be a long term solution. So for the best of the convention I decided to resign from my positions in the NordicFuzzCon Board and from my position as co-chairman.
I will continue as the Head of the Registration Department and by that continue my long history of working for this convention I helped founding four years ago.
I want to thank my co-chairman Trax, all members of the board and all the many members of our staff and crew who helped us making this convention the success it is today. I wish the whole team a glorious future … and I will be there! You will not get rid of me that fast!

Clockwork Creatures Group Photo @ EF21

We will meet in front of the doors to the (then closed) dealers den in the convention center at 21:30 on Friday ... that is directly after the main fursuit group photo so that most people should be in suit anyway. There are also no other main events going on so there are hopefully no clashes.

FurAffinity: From art gallery to porn site ...
General | Posted 10 years ago... sorry if you expected a full history of this page ... I don't think I am the right person to ask about that. But I have a certain feeling that this website just went over the edge from an art gallery to an outright porn site. Especially the adverts placed by IMVU kinda leave that impression for me.
I started posting my photos and stuff here about 4 years ago and so far I had no big problem with that. But recently I feel more and more uncomfortable with posting my works here. I don't do any mature or adult stuff and I don't really want my photos to appear in any strong porn context.
So right now I will stay away from posting any new photos or commissioned artwork on FurAffinity.
I will observe how this site and community develop in the future and if things get worse I would not hesitate to also delete my old submissions to avoid my works being shown in this context. I will not leave FurAffinity itself so you can still contact me here.

General | Posted 10 years agoI am going to Elfia (Elf Fantasy Fair) in April ... most likely suiting half the time and taking photos the other half. It seems there will be so many amazing costumes that I will bring my black&white equipment for some nice portraits.

- Landscape and travel
I know that this is a furry site ... but are people also interested in other photos (except fursuits)?

I will offer group photos and maybe some single shootings for Clockwork Creature fursuits at both conventions. For both conventions I cant decide on location and time yet. At EF I am staff now and need to find an opening in my duty schedule and for RF I also need to wait for the schedule to find a good time and I need to check out the hotel for a suitable location. Clockwork Creature Photoshoot @ MFF

Clockwork Creatures Photoshoot @ MFF 2013

I will attend Midwest FurFest 2013 as my first ever US convention. Some of you maybe know, that I did photoshoots and group photos for the community of Clockwork Creature fursuiters at Eurofurence for the last two years. As far as I have seen nothing like that exists at MFF so far, so I would like to offer it this year.

monoFURS to the next level
General | Posted 12 years agoOn the last day of Eurofurence I did a small experiment with some friends. I wanted to try if I can extend my monoFURS project (-> http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3466033/ ) from medium format film to large format. I just took the first photos out of the developer and they look good on the first glance. Lets hope for the best when I have scanned them or even made prints.
For those interested: My new "baby" is a Linhof Technika III camera built 1951. I used a Schneider-Kreuznach Symmar 150mm f/5.6 lens. Film is a fomapan 100 sheet film on 9x12cm negative size.
I will post first photos as soon as the full process is done (within the next few days)

Eurofurence Artshow ... need input

I am planning the panel layout right now so that I know what I have to order as prints and frames. What do you think would be a good size for framed prints? Too small does not look good. Too big and people will not be able to transport it properly.
right now I am thinking about prints 20x30cm (8x12inch) which would give frames of 30x40cm (12x16inch)
would that be a good size?

I will stay here in FurAffinity for now as well to see how the situation evolves but there is a certain possibility that I will leave somewhen in future in case that the situation does not improve.

Despite being a scientist myself and by that highly dependent on knowledge I still confirm what he says here ... there is a lot of stuff we dont know. And some imagination will help to grasp what we dont know yet.

Back from EF and news about the photos
General | Posted 13 years agoI am finally back home from EF. Late last night I arrived home after the business trip they had scheduled for me directly after EF. I went from EF directly to Russia for a couple of days to attend a scientific conference in Saint Petersburg. Can tell you its a beatiful city and well worth a visit but the visa stuff is a hassle and the airport there is just "uuurgh" ... I will also post some photos from russia in the next days.
and when speaking about photos: I still have to go through the photos from EF. The digital ones will be sorted and processed during this weekend. I will most likely start posting later today. I just havent taken that many photos as I was suiting a lot more than during ConFuzzled.
I also filled about 6 rolls of film for my monoFURS project. But they are still with friends in Stockholm and I can only pick them up next weekend. So sorry for the delay in posting the monoFURS footage ... it will come ... promised.
I was quite surprised about the reactions on my first submission. Within one single day the Clockwork group photo got more favs than any other of my submissions. It seems I have done something right.

medieval dress
General | Posted 13 years agojust sitting at home test-wearing the proof-piece of my new medieval costume to be worn with my fursuit (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8540905/) ... A friend of mine from Germany is sewing that one especially for me and as I am not able to go there to test it she had send me a proof-piece in the simplest fabric ... it needs some minor changes (e.g. its a tad too short) and then she can do the final piece in high quality fabric ... it will hopefully be done for EF *fingers crossed*

kirrow) and other furries at NärCon here in Linköping ... it is really funny to suit at those Anime/Manga/Comic conventions because you stick out (despite people being used to cosplay costumes) ... you get an enormous amount of attention there
We even ended up on a photo posted on the official NärCon Facebook account (http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hpho.....28885803_n.jpg) and we got filmed by a NärCon camera teame a couple of times ... lets see what they make of it ...

It seems the ones who joined our furmeet in Stockholm in May quite liked what we did. We received some requests to organize more events, and since we had fun as well, we decided to seize that possibility. We are now happy to announce that we are organizing a full-grown furry convention, taking place in Stockholm next year under the name Nordic Fuzz Con.

It seems the ones who joined our furmeet in Stockholm in May quite liked what we did. We received some requests to organize more events, and since we had fun as well, we decided to seize that possibility. We are now happy to announce that we are organizing a full-grown furry convention, taking place in Stockholm next year under the name Nordic Fuzz Con.
