The Loss of a Friend
Posted 9 years agoRight, i never did one of these types of journals before. Never thought I would have to, but here goes.
A friend of mine who i've known for two years at our roleplay sim on Second Life has recently passed away since the 21st of January 2017. Galonodel was involved in a car accident and was reportedly dead on scene. I imagine that many people might have known him for different reasons, but i've always knew him for these things; a dedicated member of my administration team, a great dungeon master, an avid roleplayer, and a good friend to talk to.
I have no words to describe how it feels to know that the person that I enjoyed RPing with and coming up with story arcs will no longer be around to make new plans with me anymore, nor will we get to come together to have a casual conversation or a laugh outside of sim-related matters. It even feels weird and unsettling to know that I was the last person he commissioned, and that we had only just finished an RP scenario that would have set future events in motion the day before the accident. The emotions involved in trying to fill the large gap left behind by his passing, and having to imagine trying to move forward without his presence is indescribable. Simply put, iit feels wrong to have to move on without him.
But I'm aware that this is an eventual necessity. Eventually we (Or I, as far as this journal post is concerned) will need to move on. I very much doubt that he would have wanted the people who surrounded him in life to break down and cease to function in his passing. But I do not wish for a good person who has helped those around so much him to be forgotten over the course of time.

If only he was around to see such a thing. He would have loved it.
And for all those of you reading this up to this point so far, let me finish this journal with this; before you run out and do something reckless for fun, and i mean -anything- of the sort, please think things through carefully. Be responsible and considerate, not only for yourself but also for those who surround you. I would not wish anyone to experience a great loss of losing someone far too soon.
Rest in Peace,
galonodel
Yours sincerely,
Austin

Help a fantastic artist!
Posted 13 years agoA good artist friend of mine is in dire need of financial help. Thanks to some weird government policy stuff or whatever, her rental assistance scheme is about to be terminated. Being a student that's about half a year away from graduation this cannot come at a worst time! However, she'd love to work to earn her keep, and she's keeping her commission slots open for the time being until this whole thing blows over.
Visit her gallery here! Her work quality is gorgeous! O.O

Also, steam bankrupts me. And i love it in so many delicious ways for it 83 *Gamerwood*
Also, not dead. Been trying to draw again. My present job sucks my soul horribly and i'm looking for a job change so that i can get my artistic mood back on a regular basis.
<3 you all

Welcome friends!
Posted 15 years agoFirst of, let me begin by giving a big thank you to everyone who watched and faved my works while i was in the middle of moving over to this gallery. :) It's such a nice feeling to be well received, and the whole lot of you make me feel so loved. (Except for that one douche-fag who tried to post me a bogus link so that he can retrieve my gallery password.)
Second of all, some of you guys may be wondering why i have decided to make the move. Well, to tell the truth the gallery name "Sea Dog Studios" was made four years ago when i wanted to display the workpieces i did at the time, but wished to remain anonymous as some of the pieces i churned out weren't exactly the usual material that i display to the public. AKA, I was pretty darn shy as hell.
However, after staying a few years on here, i've decided that there's no reason for me to keep my art hidden away now that a number of folks know that i have a gallery here. As such i have made the decision to combine my Furaffinity Gallery with the handle that i've used all these years for my Deviant art gallery, New Heaven Studios. What does this mean for me? That i am a whole lot easier to find now and i have a strong hold on that particular internet gallery handle. Sure, people may know that i draw pr0n now, but who cares eh? :)
In any case, it was a difficult decision for me as i treasure every comment and fave that you folks throw my way. I felt that it would be a waste to delete all the pictures from my old gallery, so i decided that until i have a change of mind, i'll have all the pictures from the old gallery replaced with the "moving boxes" images. :)
Once again, thank you all for giving me a nice welcome, and i hope everyone has been doing well. :)
