Signal-Boost: Neysa character design sheet
Posted 4 years agoHello dear friends,
It has been a very long time and I hope everyone is surviving and staying safe.
I was made aware that one of our fellow furry artists needs some help after a car accident destroyed his car (see https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41673451/ for details). With my permission,
Rabbi-Tom is selling an original character design sheet of me to raise funds to purchase a replacement vehicle. The character sheet is Item #3 and can be found here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41685624/
He also has many other original drawings for sale so I invite you to please browse his offerings.
Thank you for your support and your ability to help a furry in need. Take care and as Uncle Mikey says, "Beeee good!".

"The world has moved on..."
Posted 6 years agoIn a place called "Midworld", where Roland Deschain and his ka-tet of gunslingers roam in a landscape where new technologies are forgotten and old technology is remembered, they have a saying to describe this evolution of commonality becoming rarity and vice versa; "The world has moved on". And that too describes the journey of
kensingshow and I with our involvement in this furry realm. Although I continue to frequent FurAffinity, albeit with each revolution around the sun my frequency is reduced, Ken, on the other hand, has all but retired from this site as well as his DeviantArt account to pursue other interests and hobbies.
I have mentioned to him that fans show continued interest in his comic and that I have received questions regarding his whereabouts as well as if he will continue with his Andorozon! comic. He is extremely flattered that his comic has such a following but as of now, the action/comedy hijinks of the Andorozon team and the Evil Cat Sisters are on hiatus. Ken has, however, given his blessing to
ebonyleopard to continue with an Andorozon! and Extinctioners crossover and encourages fans to take a look. So please visit
ebonyleopard for continued adventures of Rokki and other Andorozon characters, I'm sure Shawntae will appreciate it.
Since Ken does not frequent FurAffinity much, he apologizes if he has not responded to any private notes his fans may have sent to him. He has also asked me to act as his assistant in regards to fan mail, so if you have any questions or comments you would like relayed to Ken, please send them to me and I will relay them to him.
So, thank you for your patience and continued interest in Ken Singshow and the Andorozon! comic. I, like you, hope that Ken will someday return to the fandom so we can laugh at the antics of Merry annoying Rokki, or see Tsuneko and Sachi causing havoc for Zora and her sisters, but until then, keep the faith and let Ken know how much you miss him or his comic by shouts on his FA page or by sending questions directly to me. I will make sure he sees them.
Thank you for your time and your thoughts.

What hath Felwroth?
Posted 13 years agoHello everyone,
I was incredibly surprised today by
stasis_delirium and my guest appearance in his world of Felwroth (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7741994). Mr. Tim is incredibly talented with dynamic poses, anthro equine physiology and fantastical armor/clothes/weapons! I would not doubt if his world of Felwroth might one day be as familiar in society as Middle Earth. If you think I am exaggerating, I really do recommend that you look at his FA page and peruse through his art. His illustrations are so vivid that one cannot help but want to be in Felwroth to smell the air and feel the lush green grass twiddling between your toes. So go, visit and tell him Neysa sent you!

Posted 13 years agoHello everyone,
I was talking to
kensingshow ... not complaining... but commenting on the new white stallion pony on the MLP:FiM episode "Hurricane Fluttershy". I think he's funny, but it really hit me with a "what just happened and where did he come from" moment. Well, he must have thought it was funny because he surpised me with this:

I'M GONNA LAY THE SMACKDOWN ON YA!
Which is far from how I would personally approach things and look, see how steroids even stunted his wings! Remember poor Lyle Alzado... So be careful bronies, Avoid steroids and be courteous and kind to each other, even if you have to assert yourself! In the immortal words of Iron Will, "Don't be shy, look 'em in the eye!".

Front Page News
Posted 14 years agoHello Everyone,
kensingshow brought this to my attention and it looks like the end of the world as we know it. Yes, I'm talking about the Wall Street Journal and this article which appears today on the front page:
Wall Street Journal - Front Page
The full article can be found on the online version of the Wall Street Journal here:
Hey, Bro, That's My Little Pony! Guys' Interest Mounts in Girly TV Show
I find it amazing that this show has found a niche among adults, (which contrary to what the Hasbro spokesperson said but we'll get to that later in this journal), and has gained such a following in only one year's time. Oddly enough, it appears that the general outlook and overtone of the WSJ article is positive and encouraging with an overall acceptance of this phenomenon, not just because of the economic implications Hasbro and its investors stand to gain, but social approval. The Furry Fandom has been around for 30+ years and still, most of society views this group with distain. But for Hasbro's benefit, what better audience to target than consumers with, and I use 'with' loosely, disposable income and a means to use it.
Not to say that the show is popular because it is well written, funny and has a quality of animation that has not been seen in a while, but what is it about the show that makes you like it so much? Does the show affect you deeper than just a consumer but to your psyche and beliefs? Do you just watch the show or do you have every piece of MLP:FiM product available, including fan made items and t-shirts from welovefine.com?
Speaking of shirts, I would have thought that Hasbro legal would be scouring the intarweb for bootleg items and firing off Cease and Desist letters, but perhaps I am too jaded from Disney and how Disney protects its intellectual property with an iron mouse glove. Apparently fan propagated viral marketing is the best marketing these days and more and more people are discovering the show. I know my observations are far from Twilight Sparkle's type of empirical analysis, but is it possible that the dominant demographic watching the show are males, ages 30-60? Although the Hasbro spokesperson says that is not the case, do they not think there is a reason they are called 'bronies', or is it just a form of acquiescent denial to protect the show from the wrath of the socially righteous?
Regardless, the show is popular, I watch it (but do not have any toys except for a Princess Celestia note pad for my grocery list) and it has been signed on for Season 3 already. Hasbro has a good thing going and as long as excessive greed stays out of this, we can only hope that it will be a win-win situation for both the company and the fans for years to come and not dissapear like a flash in Zecora's caludron.
Love,
Neysa

Fluttershy custom plush
Posted 14 years agoHello everyone,
I saw this on eBay and was amazed at the detail (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP.....E:B:SS:US:1123). It's a custom Fluttershy plush toy that is far more than 20% cooler than the ones by Hasbro. I was a little taken back that the seller would actually call her 'Fluttershy' and say things like 'cutie mark' as isn't selling a trademarked product without consent... illegal? But still, definitely worth a look as this person really hit the nail on the head with the design. Now you can have your own Fluttershy that can lay on your pillow and yell "You're going to love ME!" at you all day long. Take a look and be ... amazed.

kensingshow has done it again with the overwhelming cuteness factor that's now 20% cooler! (http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6211493/) It's me brushing a Neysa MLP:FIM toy while
rabbi-tom is brushing my tail! Over brusherage! At least my tail hair will grow back! Go take a look and get your brushes out!

FLAME ON!
Posted 14 years agoHello everyone!
Yet another surprise by
kensingshow who must have recalled me getting all "agro" a few days ago and drew this!
http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6160051/
Goodness how I wish I could do this in real life, although, wearing Nomex clothes all the time isn't that fashionable, but it would be a great way to flush out all the negative energy in one shot! The little rodent in the top corner is my nemesis, Wasabi, husband to Jetta and father of (CENSORED). Well it has not been proven yet, but if you read Ken's "Andorozon!" comics, you will understand. At least he is utilizing the excess BTU's. An environmentally conscious rodent! Just wait until Norton catches him...

kensingshow posted! (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6155971/) What a surprise! I love the uniform but will need to speak to Jetta about her smoking habit. Shouldn't smoke around munitions and fuel! Apparently I hid my horn, and as
cmdrkitsune posted, I must be able to detach my horn like a bayonette! How versatile! Go take a look and tell Ken what you think!

Posted 14 years agoHello everyone,
No, it's not *that* tea party, but one with a fellow pony
timkangaroo in which delightful biscuits and steaming tea are served. I love how closely he made us in Lauren Faust's style and the colors are wonderful! All of this is based off of Tim's own MLP character and
kensingshow 's portrayal of me as seen here:

So take a peek and you too can join the par-tay!

No, MIB does not mean "Men in Black", in this case it means "Mare in Black".
ebonyleopard was kind enough to include me in his Black Dress series of images and I get to have a chat and some tea with Foxy of Extinctioner's fame! I love the dress and my hair, and am so impressed at how he can show so much using only two colors! Please go look and tell Shawntae how much of a great job he did!

Politics
Posted 14 years agoHello Everyone,
Politics surround us, whether it is for National Security or National Unity, It affects all of us no matter where we reside and divides us because of opinions that most often conflict so violently that negotiations are impossible. Politics evolve from determining the best route for those represented to mud slinging greed and overwhelming desire for power. Which brings me to this horrific discovery posted here:
http://fyre-flye.deviantart.com/journal/40428056/
Matters that do not "concern" us little folks have potentially impacted something that has unified people from all walks of life and political beliefs. Yes, as I am sure you are aware of, Lauren Faust, creator and Executive Producer of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic has effectively been removed from the show beginning Season 2 and will be a "Consulting Producer". Her creativity in observing and integrating what fans of the show desire and speculate, in addition to the already top notch writing and comedic timing, will most likely be quashed.
Has Hasbro killed the golden goose out of greed now they know how much of a hit show they have? Does Hasbro believe that because of the intense following of fans outside of the intended audience, those of whom generally have more purchasing power than those originally intended, they can continue to market and appeal to this audience they are so incredibly disconnected from? Like most other conglomerates who do things like this, they discover, only far too late, that by trying to extract as much money from the consumers quickly instead of over a longer period of time, they effectively destroy themselves. New Coke, the "new" Tropicana container graphics, dropping of Family Guy, etc. demonstrate just how disconnected and removed corporate heads are from their target consumers. Coca-cola, Pepsico and Fox easily recover from these tremendous losses, but others, and perhaps Hasbro, will just pull the product without regard once those severe failures are revealed. Unfortunately, by that time, those ousted cannot just say, "We told you so" because the bean counters would rather cut their losses instead of trying to resolve the problem.
We can only be optimistic that Hasbro understands what they have in their possession and knows how to manage it properly, else Season 2 of MLP:FIM will be the last and the golden goose "cooked".
