Open call for assistance with the group
Posted 10 years agoSo I've done a real bang up job this off-season in relaying all pertinent information and stories... i.e. absolutely nothing. Work has given me so little free time as of late that I don't have the resources to keep this group updated with necessary NFL news like it deserves so I'm wondering if any of you who watch or support the group would be interested in joining the "staff" of NFLfurs to simply be the News and Updates Guy especially with the draft right around the corner. Just comment here or drop a note if you're interested!
Don't worry, the prediction portion is still going strong and will continue for at least the foreseeable future :3

Superbowl Weekend Matchup
Posted 10 years ago24 Weeks later here we are at the end of the 2014/2015 season. Quite the epic matchup has been set up between the NFC's #1 Seattle Seahawks and the AFC's #1 New England Patriots ready to duke it out in Arizona.
Both teams struggled in the very early portion of the season but both have clearly worked out their kinks.
EA has already run their Madden 15 simulation for the Super Bowl and have predicted a come-from-behind win for the Patriots 28-24. They have a snazzy record of 8-3 since they started this prediction method. Will the Patriots be able to contain Marshawn Lynch? Will the Seahawks be able to stop Rob Gronkowski? Will the Seahawks walk away with 2-in-a-row or will Brady nab his 4th ring? We'll find out on Sunday!
While the turmoil of the NFL season is set to come to a close the NFL Furs group has its own Superbowl showdown between the last two standing Prediction Challenge participants BisonBull92 and DracoPotens!
Standard rules apply, you two so predict away! You have until SB:XLIX kickoff.
Sunday February 1st
Patriots (14-4) "@" Seahawks (14-4)
The Patriots and the Seahawks have never played a post-season game before and are a stern 8-8 all-time. The last time they even played was in 2012 where the Seahawks won by a single points, 24-23. The last time the Superbowl was held in Glendale the Patriots were beat by the Giants with what was up to that point one of the greatest catches ever.
Anyone is free to voice their opinions on the outcome. Let's hear 'em!

But since every week 17 game is on next Sunday there will still be plenty of time to get in your final week of picks. Enjoy your weekend everyone and happy holidays, etc. =P

Thursday November 20th:
Chiefs (7-3) @ Raiders (0-10)
-Division match, the best the Raiders can do now is play spoiler.
Sunday November 23rd:
Browns (6-4) @ Falcons (4-6)
-A win for Cleveland here could vault them from last to first in their division, but at only 4-6 the Falcons would be hard-pressed to give up their own division lead.
Titans (2-7) @ Eagles (7-3)
Lions (7-3) @ Patriots (8-2)
Packers (7-3) @ Vikings (4-6)
-Division match, Packers want to show they should be the #2 seed in the NFC

Bengals (6-3-1) @ Texans (5-5)

Cardinals (9-1) @ Seahawks (6-4)
-Division match, if the Seahawks lose this one I think it's safe to say even achieving a wild-card slot will be a very tough challenge.
Rams (4-6) @ Chargers (6-4)
Dolphins (6-4) @ Broncos (7-3)
Redskins (3-7) @ 49ers (6-4)
Cowboys (7-3) @ Giants (3-7)

Monday November 24th:
Ravens (6-4) @ Saints (4-6)
-Saints are the only team in the NFC South with positive net points this season (+9) and are only out of the division lead because of a tie-breaker. Meanwhile the Ravens are looking to break a 4-way tie for the AFC North lead.
