Grandfathering Images Question

Okay, I was at first thinking about posting in the thread that talked about this, but I want to see if anyone else understood this too.

It says:
Grandfathered images are images that existed before the rules changes. Submissions dated prior to May 13, 2010 and older will be allowed to be keptso long as they are moved to the scraps folder. Users have until the end of June to relocate their content to their Scraps folder if they want to keep it.
After July 1st, submissions against the AUP in the main gallery will be up for removal.
So let me see if I got this right. I have about 500+ submissions in my gallery, all of which are posted before May 13, 2010 (basically all of my art is older than May 13, 2010). So in order for me to keep them all, do I have to move them to my scraps?
I just figured I'd ask here in case it was something so obvious.
So if anyone can maybe explain this to me a little better, I'd really appreciate it. If push comes to shove, I'll ask in the forum. I just feel awkward when it comes to posting in admin threads. n///n;

I'm doing alright. Just been mostly drowsy if anything else. Likely because of allergies.
Hmm...my Easter was alright. My aunt came over to visit and such. And then I crashed because of having to clean and cook. x_x So yeah. That summed up my holiday.
Otherwise, I've been getting my best friend's birthday gift ready for whenever I see her again. (Her b-day being April 12th) So that'll be fun once I get that to her.
Obviously as you can tell by my latest crack comic - I'm sucking at working on art. XD Ugh. Don't worry, I'll think of some non-crappy stuff sometime. I'm just not inspired to spend some hardcore time coloring/outlining, you know?
Hmm...I guess that's about it for now.

But - do you ever get it where you get asked something so many times and it gets beyond annoying when people keep asking you?
Well, the question that I always get asked on DA by people who hate NiNi ask me, "Why do you always draw perverted art?"
Seriously. What kind of question is that? Ain't it obvious why?
1. First off, I don't always draw perverted things.
2. Perverted humor is fun to me in my opinion and most people enjoy that kind of humor I noticed.
and of course, the ultimate answer...
3. Because I AM A PERVERT!
Seriously, if they get so irritated with me doing that - the simplest solution is to just ignore me and leave me be.
Yeesh. That's almost as bad as one girl drawing a comic of her OC murdering NiNi on DA. (Real mature there, girly.) Fangirls like that frighten me.

Anyways, I'll probably work on more art sometime; probably some TMNT-U themed things. I still need to draw NiNi playing volleyball since this year she's on the team.

Sure - TMNT and Muppets were always a big childhood memory to me, but I'm talking about stories.
I was talking with a buddy of mine from DA and we were talking about Fairy Tales and other childhood stories.
When I was a kid, I always loved watching Nickelodeon for the show Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics.

But when it came to childhood memories, does anyone else remember the "Frog & Toad" story books? I LOVE them! I have ever since I was a kid. They were just so cute. And I remember even when I was a child I would go to the library to watch the movie anytime I could.

General | Posted 16 years agoAnyways, yeah - I'm not as into the holiday this year. I guess it's because that I have my time of the month and it makes me cranky, I dunno.
That and there is some things I want to get off of my chest that I've kept in for a long while now. So yes, prepare for a bit of a rant. Under no circumstances am I trying to start anything - I'm just saying what I feel. If I get ONE negative comment, you will be automatically blocked and comment reported as spam. I hate drama and flames.
I also think it's because I've seen so much hate lately. Like for example - last night I was browsing around online through Gaia and a girl came by and messaged me saying that I was retarded for liking something that she didn't like. No really - I was stunned for someone to send me something like that as if they got a tampon shoved up the wrong end. What was it that I said that I liked, but she didn't? Well, I like the little pairing that a pretty good amount of people do basing on Ninja Gaiden and the Dead or Alive video games, Ryu Hayabusa/Kasumi. Sue me. I have my reasons for liking that potential pairing. I understand that people don't like it, but don't call me retarded because I like it. That's just childish. That's just an example.
People have their own preferences. That is fantastic. They should embrace that and respect other people's opinions instead of belittling them.
Then of course there's the whole thing about people bashing about my OC NiNi. Yeah yeah, I know it happens a lot and I still like the character no matter what, but here's the thing - she's the ONLY OC I have that pairs with a canon character from a series - be thankful for that. I honestly don't like designing OCs as much anymore because I get tired of the constant bickering and the fact that I see many OCs that are great in my opinion that pair with other characters. OCs are made just for FUN. Stop bashing something fictional. It's scary. Whether it'd be hate against an OC or a canon character.
And that's another thing - people have gotten the whole Mary Sue thing bent backwards. People say that if an OC has a dark past, they're a Mary Sue. So...people in real life don't have dark things in their pasts sometimes? Or does that make me a sue too? Because believe me, I've experienced a lot of shit in my life, but I won't spare the details. Seriously - stop the wars with this shit, it really gets on my nerves. I can understand if people said that my OCs overpowered canon characters and such (which she DOESN'T), but the whole dark past and appearance thing? That's bullshit.
Artists use their talent to be creative with their ideas. Their talents should be embraced because of being able to do such things. They can draw whatever the hell they want and if it's something people don't really care for - who gives a shit? Just respect the artist and keep negative comments to yourself. Trust me, negative comments can sometimes affect people quite a bit.
I'm sorry, I know this should be one of those days where I should at least feel a little bit lighthearted, but I just couldn't at the moment due to having so many thoughts that I've kept bottled up inside.
I almost didn't want to post this, but I figured - ah what the hell. It needs to be brought up eventually.

So yeah, besides constant aches from shoveling snow, I've been hooked on Ninja Gaiden, No More Heroes, and I STILL like TMNT - I'm just trying to think of more art ideas for that department.

Well, a while ago I was talking to one of my TMNT fan friends and he told me about how ex-Mirage Studio artists (ones who moved to working for the TMNT Adventures Comics from Archie Comics) actually made a TMNT porn comic in 1993 where only 50 copies were made.
At first I didn't believe him until he showed me. And holy crap. I died. XD It was literally the most bizarre thing I've ever seen and it made me laugh because turtlecest was involved (Mikey/Don). It also had Raph/Ninjara and April/Splinter in which becomes Splinter/April/Leo (Blargh) XD
I'm not going to post the link here because I know some of my DA friends that are minors might come here and view my work (my non adult work) because sometimes I post things here that I don't over on DA.
Either way, it was funny as heck. XD
-edit- If you ask nicely, I could give you the link through a note. You'll need a flickr account though or a yahoo ID to make a nickname from there. And you have to be 18 or older.

Anyways, with the 50 I got from my aunt, I spent $25 on Gaia Cash and only have like...857 left xD; Stupid snow apples giving me crappy prizes...oh well. 200k+ is not bad I guess.
But I got to mention something extremely funny. One of my buddies and I were talking last night and he asked me if I ever heard of the comic that ex-mirage artists made in 1993 that was a TMNT porno comic. I DIED XD I just can't believe that something like that exists when it indeed does! The funniest portion was the use of "PlayTurtles" XD ...I think PlayShell title wise sounds better though. -shrug- Either way, I did get a look at it and holy crap it was hysterically wrong.
So yeah, I have $25 left of x-mas money...I'm still waiting on Leo slippers and so far they only have Mikey and Raph. Where's the Leo and Don love?! Ugh.
Well, that's about it for me. If I don't see anyone during the holiday, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A Depressing Yet Humorous Christmas Story

We have our tree up finally mind you xD

Yes yes, this is about me and my family.
It's sad, but we don't even have a tree up yet. Why? Well, it took my dad forever to find the stuff to bring up for me to decorate. He brought the stuff up last night, so I got up to get started.
...but I couldn't. Why?
My brother's laptop and bullcrap was in the way. So I told him to move it, which he did.
With that out of the way, I went to look for the tree and remembered something. I opened the box and remembered that this particular tree my dad brought up - it didn't have a base.
What did I do?
I did the only thing I could do. I put it away and yelled at the boxed tree, "NO! YOU'VE RUINED CHRISTMAS!" ^^;
We DO have another tree, I just have to wait for my dad to come home to get it. ...oh it's going to be so much fun having my mom come home to work and wonder why the tree isn't up. >>;;
So yeah, just thought I'd share that depressing story for the hell of it. xD
When I DO have a tree up, I'll take pictures of it because it does turn out real pretty when I finish working on it. ^^ I also have a 20+years old manger that is gorgeous as well.
Well, I hope no one is having this issue like I am. xD

I'm doing alright. Just felt like posting a journal here since I always seem to do so in a more casual manner on DA than I do here.
Anyways, not much has been going on with me as of late. Just trying to work on artwork. I am still trying to work on a doujinshi however. Yes, there will be hentai involved, but it's going to take longer to do those portions due to me not knowing too many positions XD
Blargh. I seriously need to TMNT RP again. I haven't done so in a long time and I usually got ideas through doing that. Whether they be funny ideas or perverted ones. Win-win either way.
Hmm...-thinks- I'm planning on going to Otakon 2010 and I'm already planning a party for my hotel room where friends and I would gather and watch TMNT movie 1 being made fun of with rifftrax.

TMNT and Viacom
General | Posted 16 years agoI know I posted this on DA, but I feel like showing my opinions here because I'm sick and tired of people dreading the worst.
10/22/09 -sigh- As many of you know, TMNT is owned by Viacom and Nickelodeon. I'm actually not horrified, just surprised. I mean really it's not big deal to panic about.
Here's how I feel about Nickelodeon/Viacom owning TMNT. I can see things going BETTER for them. Why? Well, aside from the new series and movie coming in 2012, they're going to bring out merchandise. Also, Laird's daughter has been working for Playmates and is trying to get them to start making TMNT stuff again.
Just because TMNT is owned by Viacom does not mean disaster. We don't know that until the series starts. So, don't judge them just yet. They can't do any worse than 4Kids (although I do love the 2k3 series and the voice actors and such. TMNTFF was good too). And granted TMNT is going to be on Nickelodeon, it doesn't mean it won't be a 2003-esque kind of series where it has dark and serious moments. I mean, look at Avatar. So it won't totally be kidified most likely.
So, think of this as a positive thing. TMNT is going to be living on longer and we're getting a new series and movie and even merchandise!

I'm alright I suppose. Just kind of tired because of me having to take care of things around here. Plus having an idiot older brother doesn't help much either.
Now why do I say that?
Well first off, I am 25, he's 27. You know the thing where people tell you that you are supposed to look up to your older siblings. That's a lie.
He does NOTHING. It's bad enough I have to suffer seeing him in his underwear practically 24/7. -gags- Oh God.
And I get up at about 6 am to take care of things around here. Cleaning the house, doing my laundry, cook, and walk the dog. What does my brother do? Sleep all day or jerk off to whatever crap he has on his laptop...IN THE SAME ROOM AS ME.
-sighs- I better stop talking about him because he's in the same room as me now and is making fun of a show I'm watching like a complete idiot.

I'm alright I suppose. Just kind of tired because of me having to take care of things around here. Plus having an idiot older brother doesn't help much either.
Now why do I say that?
Well first off, I am 25, he's 27. You know the thing where people tell you that you are supposed to look up to your older siblings. That's a lie.
He does NOTHING. It's bad enough I have to suffer seeing him in his underwear practically 24/7. -gags- Oh God.
And I get up at about 6 am to take care of things around here. Cleaning the house, doing my laundry, cook, and walk the dog. What does my brother do? Sleep all day or jerk off to whatever crap he has on his laptop...IN THE SAME ROOM AS ME.
-sighs- I better stop talking about him because he's in the same room as me now and is making fun of a show I'm watching like a complete idiot.

1. I've been a fan of TMNT since 1987.
2. I don't have a least favorite color.
3. I usually get my inspiration in drawing by mostly RPing. (Especially my hentai works.)
4. I have 600 watchers over on DA which still amazes me. Not to mention the 200 favs I got for a TMNT-U Raph pic over on DA.
5. I've taken French classes for 8 years about.
6. If I ever marry, I would like to be married at Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom in Disney World.
7. I really only have one friend I meet IRL the most. Otherwise, I only have online friends. (Some of which I have met in person or am going to soon!)
8. I despise guys who abuse and try to make women into something they are not. (I've had that happen and I have not forgiven that person either.)
9. I may like a lot of boy things, but I can be pretty girly at times too.
10. My most expensive Beanie Baby is an Orca named Splash. (I've had it since I was 10)
11. Jewelry wise; when I go out in public, I always wear my white turtle pendant, custom high school ring, my turtle ring, and bracelet. If I am not wearing them or am missing one of those things, I feel awkward.
