Ever get those times where you post up work constantly and yet when someone bashes at you for whatever reason it still gets to you?

That's what I've been getting on DeviantArt as of late. Why? Because of my character, NiNi. Yes, she's not a perfect character and I'm still working on her background and such, but I have days where I get hit HARD.

I get told that NiNi is basically festering puke and a bunch of other crap like that. It actually kind of makes me feel ashamed for having made NiNi to begin with.

But here's the thing. What they don't know is that NiNi was originally just an ordinary turtle girl - my fursona. She wasn't a ninja or anything of the sort. I didn't come up with her being a TMNT counterpart till much later. Really I added her in the TMNT universe because I thought it was an interesting concept and something just for fun.

Eh, I dunno. I've had thoughts of leaving DA since I'm tired of the rants people post on journals about my character for whatever reason.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I enjoy drawing NiNi because it's fun. And I like creating weird humor with the use of her and such. I'm just tired of people making me feel as if I should be ashamed for making her to begin with.

It's just frustrating.

I'm sorry for going all ranty like this all of a sudden. I just figured that I needed to vent even if only once here, because I'm kind of afraid to do so at DA at the moment.

Holeh' crap. I turn 25 today. And I still find it hilarious that TMNT is a month older than me. ^^;

Erm, I'm not doing anything special with the exception of going to Medieval Times with my best friend later in the evening. It's nice of her to have that set up for me as her present. ^^

Wow. I hadn't posted a journal here in a while. I guess I'm always too shy to post entries here.

Anyways - how are you all doing?

Things are a little better even though it's weird not having a dog around the house anymore. (I had a shetland sheepdog named Scooter, but he was put down last month.)

But good news is I officially graduated with my AA Degree and also later today in the evening I'm going to be going to check out a puppy that my family and I might think about adopting! It's a Shetland Sheepdog and it's female - and I heard she's so tiny! X3 I'm hoping it'll go well, but if not we're waiting for the next litter which comes up in the winter time. So, we shall see.

Besides that, I'm still sketching TMNT art of course; I've been doing so a lot more in a way (just not posting them) due to being psyched about the new series coming up next Saturday.

-thinks-...other than that...not much has been going on. Maybe I'll sketch or something and go on Yahoo!Chat. Feel free to drop me a line on here because I'll probably be up for quite a while.

Hello everyone!

I'm sorry that I haven't been answering comments as much, let alone watching/thanking people >_< I've been kind of busy going on and off with college work and this annoying thing I have called a life =_=; I hope to be a little more active later during this month.

-clears throat- Anyways I'm happy to know that a lot of people like my works thus far! It means a lot to me because people of my past haven't supported me in such things n_n

For example, my ex -he totally disliked the fact that I liked things like scalies. (Oh how I still get annoyed thinking about that hormonal jerk.) So, ever since he broke up with me, I've been working on TMNT stuff because turtle characters have been my favorite since childhood (and plus I have more freedom now since I'm not dating. Mwahaha.)

I like other anthropomorphic characters, but...I'm not as good drawing them. Then again, drawing turtles isn't that easy either ^^;; I'll try to draw different species as I progress, but for now you'll either see turtle stuff and sometimes human kind of things on rare occasions. (I used to draw human characters like CRAZY)

-Places her right index finger on her bottom lip in thought- Hmm...not much to add really. I'm still doing college work and trying to get the occasional artwork posted/completed when I can. Projects in art have been kinda changing like crazy - like one minute I want to work on something mature/adult, and the next I want to work on something innocent. I'm weird like that I guess.

Anyways, some of you seem to like my character of NiNi, and I plan on having more information about her soon so people will understand the character better. It's kinda hard coming up information for a character - it's actually been a LONG time since I ever even made a character to fit in a universe like TMNT. ^_^; Ah nostalgia.

Well, I think that about does it for me today. I'll post more art later or any other little thing I can think of.

Hello everyone! I feel that I should just post about my current thoughts and feelings about being here, as well as future projects I may plan on doing.

Experience
First of all, I was actually very nervous about posting here. Mainly because I wasn't really a furry artist originally. I started on TMNT fanart ever since the CG movie came into theaters and became a bit more open into the furry/scaley subject.

Why do I like scaley in particular? Well, it's mainly because it's something from childhood. TMNT was one of the first shows/comics I got hooked on where there were humanoid animals. I loved them! And I still love them to this day! Plus, I had a special attachment for Leonardo because he's practically my first role model - he's a better role model than even my own parents to be honest, and some ways - that is sad ^^;

-clears throat- Anyway, I actually love it here! Everyone is so welcoming and I gradually feel more comfortable being here. So thanks everyone for helping me adjust! It means a whole lot to me ^_^ <3

3. Possibly a TMNT hentai/yaoi doujinshi

Honestly, I am thinking ideas like crazy - but those three are projects that I hope to accomplish one day.
