Posted 7 years agoOh wow, a journal. It's just shocking, isn't it? Anyways, just thought I'd let anyone who cares enough to know what's up.
First off, getting the obvious out of the way, my heart has been kidnapped by
kasaiangeldragon12 and he refuses to give it up. I assume this means we're a thing. (I love you babe! <3333)
I looked over my Assassin's Creed: Independence chapters I submitted years ago and just suffered from a nasty cringe. I'm rather embarrassed by my younger writings, so I deleted them. No need to make all of you suffer the same pain I felt! I may rewrite the whole thing, keeping it centered in the past instead of having modern-day scenes. This is mainly to try and help me improve writing my main work that I wish to get published, God willing, and even after quite a few years I still have all the major events from my Assassin's Creed project still stored in my head. I may even post some sample chapters from my actual novels just to get some general feedback and criticism. With my life getting set on track, I think my muse for writing is starting to return. It's slow, but it's coming back. My writing itch shall make a glorious comeback!
In regards to real life, I'm going to start my last day at my Wal-Mart store today. After that, I'll be spending a week packing and saying my goodbyes, as I am leaving Oregon. It's a beautiful state (minus some disease-ridden shitholes like my current town of Grants Pass), but frankly it's becoming too expensive for me to live on my own. Studios in this small town are starting to reach upwards of $900 (and that's just the rent!!!) while other places offer much cheaper, bigger, and nicer looking apartments. I don't know if I'll ever return to the West Coast outside of a con or to visit my parents, but if I do it'll be when I'm much more financially well-off and have a loving partner by my side. The chances are slim though, it just depends on where the wind blows. I'll miss this nice little side of the nation, but when it's becoming too costly, I'd rather be living in some sort of comfort than barely scrimping by on money and having to suck off the government tit.
When I move, I'll be transferring stores. I'll work for Walmart's Frozen/Dairy department, but that will only be for a while. After giving almost 10 years of my life to retail, it's time to fucking stop. Nothing made that realization more clear than a few happenings with my current job as an Asset Protection Customer Host (essentially a Wal-Mart receipt checker). People are fucking assholes. I do my best to be happy and courteous, but God forbid if I ask to check the receipt on your cart full of alcohol or your TV. I leave groceries and small necessities alone (unless I know you steal), and while that toned down the drama greatly I still get more than my fair share of grief from people. A simple, "No" would suffice, having to go off on a screaming tangent on an underpaid retail goon and threatening to get him fired takes its toll. It's been almost two years since I've had this job, and I'm quire surprised I haven't gone to bed cuddling up to my bottle of Jack.
I'm done with retail. I'm done feeling unappreciated, harassed, and threatened. I'm done dealing with people's bullshit. When I transfer stores and get settled into my new place, I'm going to work my ass off towards an education in Nursing. Not only will that pay better (and maybe better benefits, depending on where I go) but I feel like I may gain back some compassion from the common man that I've had drained out of me from years of frustration at idiotic customers. Plus, I'll feel like I'm actually fucking doing something to help society. That's another problem, if I'm unable to pursue my dream jobs of writing and acting, I'll feel like I just wasted my life just working for the goddamn Walton children and the grossly incompetent Board of Directors that think they know absolutely best how to run a store in the 21st century. If I'm nursing and taking care of people, I'll actually feel like I've accomplished something. Like somehow I have meaning in life besides wasting away in a corporate-run cesspool. I don't want to become my brother, who essentially sponges off his wife's military pay and benefits, and has nothing to show in his life, except being a 50-something working VERY part-time in a kitchen retail store. I want to make my parents proud in any way, and I want myself to feel accomplished. It'll be like taking a breath of fresh air after spending years inside of a heap of toxic garbage, and I'll be all the more happier for it.
As to the future...I don't know what lies ahead of me, but I do know one thing. My love life was complicated. I was essentially manipulated and lied to in my first serious relationship, leading me down a path that was dark and twisted. Though we both share a blame for this, I seriously fucked up my second relationship. My next one I damaged heavily after suffering a head injury, and I became desperate to try and be with them again, and ended up chasing them away because of my own stupidity, drowning depression, among other things. I stayed away from relationships after that, only having crushes for a handful of others that could be considered "puppy love." However, my boyfriend has helped me, just as much as (I hope) I helped him. My past trauma has eroded, and I feel like I can truly trust and love again. I hope for some future between us, because he's the first one I've ever, truly, feel could be "the one." Nonetheless, no matter what happens to us, I feel free.
I feel alive.

Life Update (Wat? A Journal?!)
Posted 9 years agoSo yeah, I've spent a year in Bowling Green, OH rooming with

pyroassassin . It was an interesting experience, and I can't say I didn't enjoy myself. It felt good being in town where I could constantly hang out with friends, go where I wanted (within walking distance too!) and experience what felt like freedom from my previous, mundane life. I'm happy that my friends put up with my shit, and I love them. I also got to meet plenty of new friends, though it was difficult saying goodbye as I packed up and returned to, well, a mundane life. However, I've been going to town and traveling more often (though my wallet cries as I pull out my card to pay for more gas) and trying to find an apartment. Sadly the nearby town got hit hard by the Recession and there's just barely any *affordable* housing. I thought I was going to get into a house with my friends, but the landlord changed his mind at the last minute, deciding that "young people shouldn't be renting his house." So, I'm just currently stuck, trying to find roomates and an apartment to live in.
Otherwise, I'm fairly content with life. I have a decent paying job that I enjoy (minus a drama-seeking coworker), I'm cracking down on refining my writing skills, and I plan on returning to stage acting.
Let's hope I can find a new place soon, my current home has shit for internet and it's kind of affecting my "me time." :)

New project, AC suspended
Posted 11 years agoDue to issues I am not at liberty to discuss, I'm going to be putting my Assassin's Creed stories on an indefinite hold. Maybe someday I'll get back to it but right now I cant.
In other news, I'm going to be starting a new literary project, this time trying to hone my Sci Fi skills. I've decided to work on a trilogy of Doctor Who short stories, and will be releasing a sample chapter this weekend.

Anyways, Wednesday I landed in San Diego later than I wanted due to missing my first flight because of time issues. I stayed over at
applegravy 's place for the night.
Thursday, I pretty much hung out with
zeek-illuser 
jaxbug applegravy and another friend for a while until we departed for the Irvine Marriott.
Friday, I woke up close to registration time. So I just raced downstairs and waited in line for about a full hour, meeting
reccasenli for the first time. He's a pretty cool guy. So after nabbing my badge, I went to the Dealer's Den and commissioned 
orcaowl for another nice ink sketch. I then decided to partial suit around for a bit (I got remarks about how cute the head is >///<) and had some fun with that.
Friday night was really fun though.
skiaskai took a bunch of furries out to invade iHop, so I went with Zeek and Nuka. Along with meeting Skai, I also met 
millennius and 
darrigan , and befriended them rather quickly. The iHop employees loved us, though the business-casual customers seemed to stare down their noses at us.
So Saturday was more of the fun day for me. I pretty much just got lunch and commissioned Lexxi Foxx and Zhivago for some art, then it was back to the room. I groomed out my entire fursuit and got Nick all nice and set for photos and the fursuit parade. It was pretty fun though that suit got HOT. Thank God for cool breezes though. X3. So after that, I let the fursuit dry out and hung around the Den for a bit. Skai mentioned invading iHop again, so I busted out the head, tail and paws and joined in a larger group than the previous night. We were joined later by
gdzeek and a very late 
vice both time were a lot of fun, and I was glad to have joined in.
...though I did have to sleep on the floor because me and applegravy 's roomate was literally taking up the whole bed when we got back. :I
Sunday was rather slow, but enjoyable. I couldn't suit again as we had to be packed and out of the room by noon, so that was a sad day. Not much happened, but Zeekule and I sold Minecraft heads for Nuka.
This was a pretty fun con, but it's still a little too small...ah well :I

Posted 11 years agoSo yeah, sorry about not putting up new chapters the past year (can't believe it's been that freaking long...), but I've had a bit of writer's block. Then while I was working on chapter 4, I had several ideas for new stories (possible future published novels? :D ) flow into my head, so I began jotting down notes, and the stories kept growing bigger and bigger because of that. But, thankfully, I have everything sorted out so I should begin dishing out more chapter of AC: Independence.
Also, fuck you Ubisoft with Assassin's Creed: Unity. French Revolution was going to be my second adventure! XD Ah well, I'll just have my own spin on it...pricks.
Anyways, life updates: Currently I'm still working for Wally-World, but I've been pretty much upgraded from pushing carts to throwing/pulling freight from the truck. It's not bad work, it keeps me busy, makes the day go by faster, and I've been noticing strength improvement in my upper body and legs. :D I just wish I was in my essentially promised position of Electronics...guess I'll still have to fight for it. :/
For cons this year, I am certainly heading to Califur and MFF later this year. Might check out FC if I'm given the time off.
Also, Nick finally has a fursuit! fursuiting got my fursuit all finished up the other day, and I'll be putting up pictures when I get home tonight.

Mmmm, had its ups and downs (what year doesn't?) but it's mainly been pretty good to me. And why? Well how about I explain it down below instead of putting everything in here?

Finally meeting Ari in the flesh at Califur.
3. What was your least favorite moment of the year?
Losing a very good family friend.
4. Where were you when 2013 began?
At a friend's house with the family, after watching The Hobbit.

My parents, our family friends and their neighbors.

Either with the furs in Roseburg, or with my family seeing The Hobbit, Part 2.

Eh...Death Punch can put on a show but I'm going to cheat here. The Nightwish concert in 2012 was awesome.

Not A LOT. I experimented with alcohol since I turned 21. The local Hefe beer sucks, Long Island Ice Tea is glorious, tequila shots...I might not have them so much. xD Mike's Hard is good for casual stuff, and Alaskan Amber Ale is alright for "dark" beer. I'm more of a wine person I think.

I also have ambitions that, should I not be able to get out of Wal-Mat, I plan on enlisting in the Navy. I also want to get my fursuit finally and meet my big bro Xepher, and as many friends as I can at any convention I can go to. MFF perhaps~?

Posted 12 years agoYeaaahhhhhhh I've noticed lately that I seem incredibly lazy about getting my writing done. Unfortunately, it's due to me having too many fucking ideas at once. I've got my Assassin's Creed stories going on with that little tie-in that I'm working on, and I've been brainstorming ideas for other works that I can store into my little "memory bank", which include an Elder Scrolls fiction, a *possible* Halo ODST fiction, a fantasy series, and ideas for a couple of superhero stories.
Also, another idea I've actually been working on alongside Assassin's Creed is a series of Star Wars fiction which, in time, I would LOVE to be published and added alongside the canon. Sounds very damn ambitious, I know, but it's a life goal I am striving for so don't be hatin'. I currently have five stories completely planned out told from the perspectives of six or seven different characters and a possible sixth novel should I be satisfied with the plot. And, if you are curious, here are the titles for my stories. (An * represents "working title.")

Posted 13 years agoHello watchers, if you're reading my story then I have to say that chapter 3 is going to be put up much later than I thought it would. I was nearing the end of my re-write of it at work today when some asshole decides to steal it from my locker. Management and the police are on his ass, and until then I'll have to write everything back down on this computer.
I'm going to do my best to type up the chapter the way I had it, but if it feels rushed when it's finally released then I apologize.
With that, I'm off to bed. 'night everypony!
