Little details have been released so far.
The basic idea of the plot as can be made out is: Corporation/Government experiment with advanced AI. Something goes terribly wrong.
Sounds really cool! Well, if you're a fan of horror games. X3

Coming to Terms With my Childhood Being Over.
General | Posted 11 years agoI've been sitting around and thinking a thought. That thought is, I'm 21.
I am freaking 21 years old!
It's a fact that hasn't really set in to me until now.
My childhood is over. I can't even say I'm a young adult now. All I can still say is that I'm young. Which I guess I'll still have until my late 30s to early 40s.
I've been getting hit with major nostalgia trips lately. I've been watching reruns of some of my favorite shows from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Anyone remember Time Squad? Samurai Jack? Johnny Bravo? I. Am. Weasel? Cow and Chicken? TOONAMI!!!!!!!!!
I even remember this one pilot called "Kitty BoBo" that I really liked. It was about a teenage anthropomorphic cat who struggles to impress his friends with how "cool" he is. I loved it a lot and have always been saddened that it was never picked up for a series.
Anyway, Back on track.
I've also been having a bit of early internet nostalgia. I've been revisiting profiles on sites that I haven't visited in up to 9 years! Reading some of my old posts. Wow, I was a completely different person back then. Pretty amusing reading my old thoughts and opinions on certain things, almost all have which have changed. Oh how I thought I knew everything back then! Living life a little bit, I'm not nearly as confident that I am right on everything anymore. My politics have changed. My faith has evolved. Relationships have come and gone. My old self seems like someone from an alternate reality who's using my name! lol
I recently received a letter in the mail. It kinda set off this whole assault of nostalgia, self-reflection, mourning and acceptance. The letter was addressed to me......from myself. Crazy right? Well I opened it and read it. I remembered what it was. It was a letter I had written to myself my freshmen year of high school! Wow, the memories flooded back so fast! I asked myself in the letter how I was. Where I was. Whether I was at OU, my dream college or not. Whether I had a hot girlfriend to call my own (hey, I was a hormone driven brat back then! lol). And most interestingly, I asked whether or not I was involved with the furry fandom. The questions brought smiles and tears of happy memories to my eyes.
Hello Old Me!,
To answer your questions, old me:
-I'm doing good!
-I'm in Norman, Oklahoma.
-Yes. I made it to OU. It may have taken me a bit longer than I had hoped, but you made it buddy! :')
-Sadly, I have not had a woman to call my own. Things won't work out with Shaina. I'm sorry. But you'll look
back on her with more humor than sadness, you'll see.
-Involved in the fandom? Hah! You should see me now! Been to several cons. Even Anthrocon! You should've jumped in sooner! lol
Oh how I wish I could write back to you! The things I would say. The advice I would give. I know you'll never read this, but just in case you come forward in time and find this account:
-Love your sister more.
She's an amazing person, but three brothers can put a strain on any girl!
-Don't run away from meeting new people.
I know talking was scary to you back then, but you'll get over it.
-Work harder!
I know video games are fun, but homework should be your priority.
-Get better grades.
I know I'm at OU now. But I could've gotten here two years earlier with just a little more effort on your part.
-Talk to girls.
I know. You're young. Women are terrifying. They walk like you, talk like you, but they sure as heck don't look or think like you do. In fact, they tend to look a lot better than you! Oh, and when Brittney Woods gives you her number, call her back! Don't be shy. She really likes you!
-Be more accepting of people's differences.
I know back then you tended to be pretty homophobic. Those two gay kids in the marching band with you? They really could use your friendship. They got it rough a lot more than you do!
-Go to band camp!
I always regretted never going to band camp with my friends. Lot of awesome memories that I missed out on.
-Talk more.
I know. Being introverted, small talk doesn't make sense to you. You despise talking to people you've never met. You hate crowds. You would prefer to just sit in your room and read a good book. Look, I understand. I still have those attitudes more or less. But you must learn to tolerate them. Society is built around extroversion, so you must at least learn how to operate within it, even if it feels like entering a different planet. And believe me, that book isn't going anywhere, but life will past whether you act or not!
-Don't listen to those jerks who were so full of themselves.
They were hurting just as much as you were. One had an abusive mother. One had no father at all. It's not your fault they're mean to you. I know their words hurt. But you'll survive.
-Invest in gold!
The market is about to crash! Gold is going to skyrocket! Go go go go go!
-Be willing to take risks.
I know you'd rather stay in your bubble, where it's safe. I know the world terrifies you. You're terrified to grow up. You're terrified to grow older. You want to stay young. But don't you see? If you stay in that bubble, you'll grow old without ever knowing what it was like to be young! Get out there! As Ms. Frizzle from "The Magic School Bus" said, "Take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy!". You'll come out the other side a bigger, better, and more knowledgeable person that way!
-Be willing to start anew.
Nearly all of your friends moved away after elementary school. And sadly, most will move away after high school. It's okay to miss them, but you will make more friends. Don't forget them though! Thank them for the good times, but remember that they have their own lives to lead.
-Lastly, have fun!
You're only going to be a kid once. Enjoy yourself! You have no responsibilities, no commitments, no bills to pay, and your whole life ahead of you! Adulthood can wait, stop taking everything so seriously! And you'll be so much better for it!
It was so much fun to hear from you again! Thank you for the letter. It came at the perfect time. I needed to see it. To give me perspective. Show me where I've come from. Where I am. And possibly, where I'm going. Goodbye to you, younger me. Thanks for the good times! For the cherished memories. For setting me on the path to becoming me. You think you're unimportant. You think that you're nobody, but you'll do great things one day! You'll meet new people. You'll fall. You'll get back up. You'll change. It may be scarey at first, but it must and will happen. It'll be an adventure! Hang on for the ride of your life!
With Loving Goodbyes,
My New Self

What your TV Will Say in the Event of Nuclear Attack!
General | Posted 11 years agoThis is a standby message in the archives of the Emergency Alert Network to be used in the event of a nuclear attack on the United States. Interesting to hear. The scenarios discussed in the message are what-ifs and are simply placeholders for what the message actually could be.
Pretty chilling to hear.

What would you do? (advice?)
General | Posted 11 years agoif you saw a friend who repeatedly did something you feel is wrong but hey don't feel is wrong, would you speak up? Or would you try to put your fingers in your ears and go LALALALALALALALALA, in order to "Keep the peace"?

MFF is a no go
General | Posted 11 years agoSadly. MFF's new dates are right in the middle of my finals week. Really sad I can't go. One of my favorite cons. Hopefully they change the dates back because I'm not the only one with this issue. They'll kill their attendance if they keep these dates. The fandom is mostly college-aged people afterall.
To all who are going, have fun enough for the both of us! I may come next year if the days are changed.

General | Posted 11 years agoIt's just not fair that Robin Williams had to leave us so soon. It's sad to know that the man who brought so much joy to others was himself hurting inside.
If you're suffering, you don't have to bear it alone. Speak to someone. Get help. It can be overcome. I'm living proof.

Guardians of the Galaxy!
General | Posted 11 years agoWas a ton of fun! And yes, rocket raccoon was cool. Lol
Was a pretty well rounded movie. Don't have many complaints outside of a couple of suspension of disbelief moments. But they are quickly forgotten anyway. An awesome movie to just watch and have fun with. It's pretty irreverent compared to other superhero team movies like the Avengers or the Fantastic Four. And for a movie about a pretty obscure Marvel team, it was presented quite well.
If ya don't mind a bit of tackiness and feel like you would enjoy a movie that's a combo of Star Wars, Fantastic Four, and maybe a hint of Firefly, then go give it a watch. You'll have fun!

Overdue Anthrocon Report!
General | Posted 11 years agoSorry the journal is kinda late. Been dealing with catching up with school work and getting over the major PCD I got when I got back home.
One of the best weekends I've had in awhile. No joke! Some of the most fun I've had in years!
Thursday:
Alarm woke me at 9:00am. and my plane was scheduled to take off at 10:30. Scared me a little but I was able to get to the airport on time. It was also very nice of the TSA to find my favorite long lost pocket knife as I was going through security. It won me a free groping session! yaaaaay..... -_-
Got to Pittsburgh without much more trouble and was greeted with a huge sign saying "Welcome Anthrocon attendees!" I thought that was so cool! X3
I got to the hotel and met up with
Goast
Apari
leasoncre . Our room was awesome! Quite spacious and nice for the money! After waiting in line for nearly 2 1/2 hours for registration (seriously, I'm never registering onsite EVER again) and said hi to
pinyon and
spazzoid I met up with my roommates and
chayce and we decided to walk the convention area, as the con didn't start officially until Friday. We walked the beautiful water front and had a great time. It was at that time that I felt the con was going to be something different. Something special.
Friday:
Woke up at about 10:00am. Grabbed some breakfast with the roomies and headed over to the convention center to attend the opening ceremonies. I had never before attended the opening ceremonies for any con and I thought it was really well put together. The con chair, Uncle Kage announced that the mayor of Pittsburgh had officially declared July 5, 2014 as Anthrocon Day in the city. This was the first time I had seen a city embrace its local furcon in such a manner! Most cities of the cons I've been to treat us with an attitude that's along the lines of "here's the space. Have your fun, then leave". It was a really refreshing change of pace.
After the guests of honor were introduced and the Charity was presented to the con, Uncle Kage declared the con open. Afterwords I goofed around with some friends before attending the "Your First Anthrocon" panel hosted by Uncle Kage and some of the other staff. Was fun seeing some new furs get the downlow about attending cons. lol
I then attended the panel "Myths About Fraternities". Being in a fraternity myself (Phi Kappa Psi for those who are curious) I had a lot of fun particapating with the audience. The host of the panel
Doman_Ryler , a brother of Alpha Tau Omega himself, was kind enough to let me answer some of the audience's questions about the nature of fraternities and fraternity life. Was a good time!
After that I walked around getting a few pictures of suiters and checking out the dealer's den for any potential purchases and saying hi to a few artists that I wanted to meet. After that I peaked in on the Fursuit Construction panel hosted by Mineau the Dolphin.
After that I met up with my roommates and we went to Uncle Kage's Story Hour and laughed our butts off. When Uncle Kage gets some wine in him, you know you're gonna be entertained.
I then met up with my good friend
Chayce and we grabbed some food from the famous Fernando's. I got the lasagna wrap and proceeded to meet God himself while eating it, much to Chayce's amusement.
After goofing around with my suiter friends we all went up to the roof of the convention center and enjoyed some amazing fireworks to finish an awesome first day at the con!
Saturday:
Woke up at about 10:30 am and grabbed some donuts with the roomies. Not much was happening early Saturday con-wise that I wanted to attend so I hung around with my friends for most of the morning and early afternoon. Had awesome fun handling for
Apari , He's already making big waves with his "Mo-Husky" suit!
Eventually The time for the Fursuit Parade rolled around and
Apari Changed into his Tipps the Ferret suit to participate in it. I sat with
Chayce and
spazzoid (who was sadly not feeling well and was unable to suit during the event) and we enjoyed the parade together, getting some awesome video in the process. (I may upload the footage later).
After the parade we grabbed some quick food and after some playing around I went to the "Feline Friendly Furry Fiasco" panel hosted by Mizuhiro Neko. Met some awesome fellow felines. Though someone brought yarn. Big mistake bringing that into a group of cats. XP
After hanging around the Dealer's Den and checking out some of the art in Artist's Alley Me and
Goast checked out the Floor Wars. Probably some of the most incredible dancing I've ever seen. Especially those who were competing in fursuits! I can't imagine the heat! >.<
Me,
Goast and
Pinyon went and ate at Tonic's. An excellent bar and grill. The honey mustard was to die for! X.X
After that we all hit the dance floor. Which was some of the best fun I've had in a long time. Someone had brought a huge play tarp and everyone was goofing around with it. Running under it while others held it up. Truly an awesome memory I wont soon forget!
Me and my friends goofed around the rest of the night before falling asleep around 2:00am
Sunday:
Not much was going on this day and we were tired from dancing the previous night so we all slept in a little. Getting up around noon. After grabbing some brunch we headed over to the con center to watch the dance competition. Wow! So much heart put into these dances. Awesome to see! Sadly, I had to leave it a bit early in order to go to the Greek Life Meetup panel. There I saw
Doman_Ryler again and met some other fellow fraternity and sorority members. Was pretty fun and I hope to catch the next one!
After the meet was over I met back up with
Goast and we went to the Uncle Kage and 2 Gryphon charity show. My gosh, these two make one of the best improv duos I've ever seen. They play off of each other so perfectly. And Foxamoore playing music in the background of their antics made it all the more entertaining!
I also said a surprise hello to
kenson . Always awesome to see him! ^w^
Sadly, after it was over, the end of the convention was drawing near. We played around in the con center as much as we could before heading back for closing ceremonies. The staff reviewed the events of the weekend and concluded that it was the best con in recent years. They then totaled the amount of money made for the con's chosen charity, which came to a little over $28,000. I thought this was incredible news and it moved the charity's representative nearly to tears. But then something even more amazing happened.
I don't know if furries have severe OCD or what but they just couldn't let the money raised be under $30,000. Right then and there, hundreds of those gathered walked up to the stage and emptied their wallets at the staff's feet. Over $2,000 additional money raised in under 5 minutes. This was almost overwhelming to the charity rep. and was a very proud moment for the convention. I was so proud to be a furry at that moment.
After presenting the charity with the big check and a final word from the guests of honor, Uncle Kage declared Anthrocon 2014 a huge success and officially closed for the year. It was sad but they also announced the themes for upcoming years. Next year is Viking Invasion! 8D
After that, we took a short break in our room before heading back out to enjoy the last hours of the con. We headed to the Westin as the convention center was now closed. As we were goofing around,
Goast was in his banana suit, we happened to pass by a photoshoot of Angel dragons. Which
Goast got dragged into and adorably mauled. Luckily, I got it all on film!! --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s76d91IGXF8
After rescuing him from the dragons we hung around in the westin "zoo" area for most of the remainder of the con. There was a small Dead Dog party but it was pretty dead sadly. After hanging out till about midnight Me and
walked around the con one more time and said hi to
again. We then went back to the hotel to end an awesome con experience!
Monday:
Alas, the saddest day of the weekend arrived. Time to go home. :C
was the first to leave so I didn't get to say a proper goodbye sadly. Hopefully next time!
The next to leave was
, who took off about 1:30pm I believe. Leaving me and
to kill some time at the Omni before I headed out too at 3:00pm. Poor
didn't get to leave until midnight that night!! You're a brave person man. I could never do that! X.X
After some traveling I arrived back in OKC and drove home to Norman. Where the PCD REALLLLYYY began to set in. lol
Had an amazing time and I want to thank everyone who helped make it a special weekend for me. Too many to list. You know who you are! X3

Had awesome fun handling for
Apari , He's already making big waves with his "Mo-Husky" suit!Eventually The time for the Fursuit Parade rolled around and
Apari Changed into his Tipps the Ferret suit to participate in it. I sat with
Chayce and
spazzoid (who was sadly not feeling well and was unable to suit during the event) and we enjoyed the parade together, getting some awesome video in the process.
I can't imagine the heat! >.<Me,
Goast and
Pinyon went and ate at Tonic's. An excellent bar and grill. The honey mustard was to die for! X.XAfter that we all hit the dance floor.
^w^Sadly, after it was over, the end of the convention was drawing near.
--> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s76d91IGXF8After rescuing him from the dragons we hung around in the westin "zoo" area for most of the remainder of the con.
X.XAfter some traveling I arrived back in OKC and drove home to Norman. Where the PCD REALLLLYYY began to set in. lol
Had an amazing time and I want to thank everyone who helped make it a special weekend for me. Too many to list. You know who you are! X3
Getting kinda frustrated on the whole suit thing.
General | Posted 11 years agoSo after waiting for 6 months for my preferred suit maker to open up and sending a quote in, I now know that my suit is on a waiting list. Meaning there's no guarantee that it will be made unless a customer above me cancels their order.
I've been waiting nearly two years for a chance to get my suit made and I'm getting kinda frustrated.
Anyone know any good suit makers that are open? At this point I'm considering trying to make it myself. lol

Fursona revision.
General | Posted 11 years agoI had always wanted to change my fursona slightly. Make it a little more "my own" so to speak.

I really wish someone would resurrect Yerf or Artspots
General | Posted 12 years agoI feel that the fandom NEEDS a dedicated clean furry art site. If I had the ability or the time I would do it myself.
Okay. Ohio, what's the deal?
General | Posted 12 years agoOhio is a state that I live far away from. Yet it seems to keep creeping into my life in various way. Many many of my friends are in Ohio. Some relatives are going on vacation in Ohio. Most women that have shown interest in me are in Ohio.
Seriously. Ohio are you stalking me?
