TMI Update Tuesday, Hiatus Continues, Possible Refunds!

Howdy howdy. Hope everyone's doing well. For those of you who don't know, I've been on a hiatus for the past ~2 weeks (more information here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9472790/ ). Unfortunately, that hiatus might have to continue for at least a couple more weeks. I'm healing pretty slowly, and have a lot of trouble drawing linework. That being said, I cannot stop drawing altogether. My brain just doesn't really work that way. I get irritable and sad if I go too long without drawing at all. So, during my hiatus, I'll doodle something really quick if I've got some inspiration, or go back to flat-color some lines in the backlog (flats are pretty easy, since that's more clicks than strokes).
That being said, like...yeah, every time I post something I colored or shaded really quick, I get commissioners asking me for progress reports on their orders. It's kind of demoralizing, but I also can understand the frustration of seeing an artist post new work while they're supposed to be resting so they can go back to their commissions.
So, to alleviate both parties' stresses, I've saved up enough money to refund a good-sized chunk of my queue. If you're feeling even a little impatient, please don't hesitate to send me a note or DM asking for a refund. You'll be given your money within a week, you'll be quietly removed from the queue, and you'll be free to place an order again at a later date, with no hard feelings.
I kind of don't want a queue almost 30 names deep hanging over my head while I'm supposed to be taking things easy, so any requests for a refund will be honored. You won't be hurting me financially, and you won't be shamed publicly. I understand that these are tough times for everyone, so I won't hold it against anyone if they'd like to withdraw their order so that the money they spent on a luxury can be put towards more pressing matters.

So January kind of sucked. I was in a constant state of declining health and motivation, and I'm really only just now recovering and getting back into my full art swing.

Okay, so the meat of this update is that I've actually started making a proper system for collaborative commissions. If you check my gallery, you can now find a folder group of artists, with the pieces we've done together.
As you can see, I've recently uploaded lots of collab comms to FA (mostly of Brygida). I'll be officially adding collaborative commissions as an option to my price sheet. The concept is really simple: you pick one artist from my list to work with me on your commission, increasing its speed and color variety. Each artist also comes with a link to their full FA profile and a list of what they will or will not draw in a collaboration. You can also check my Twitter for a weekly roster of who's available (almost always all of them, as I've made sure to mostly pick artists who do this as their day job). For the time being, our collabs use my normal prices.

Woooo-wee. I hope everyone had a good holiday, or at least not a bad one.
At the moment, I am on staycation. Just drawing personal work, vegging on the couch with Fray, and doing Warhammer shit. However, during my time off, I am also prepping for what I hope to be a super big year.
The first step I've taken is to begin construction on my network of collaboration artists! If you pop on over to my gallery, you'll see that I've recently created a tab for artists with whom I am available to collaborate on commissions, complete with examples of collaborative work (as well as links to their own) and pricing adjustments. My intent is to both create variety in my own gallery, and to provide commissioners with wider options and faster delivery times, as well as create a strong network with other artists whose work I enjoy, and with whom I love collaborating.
Next week, I'll be accepting applications for other artists who wish to join my collaborations.
Now, one additional reason for creating a collaborative network is: I want to make comics in 2020. I've added a goal to my Patreon to allow me to make weekly comic pages, but to supplement that, I'll be creating the collaboration network before I reach my goal so as to keep my queue trimmed down and hopefully not have to sacrifice time I should be working on commissions in order to meet comic deadlines.
To test this model, I'll be releasing a comic or two before my goal is met, just to make sure I can do it. Once my staycation is up, I'll run a poll on Patreon to see which one I do first. I'm also hoping to give my Patreon a bit of a face-lift before then.

2019 Commission Prices

When you place an order for a solo cell-shaded piece, if you agree to allow me to auction off the character after I've drawn it, you will be entitled to a portion of the proceeds in the form of a refund of UP TO 100% of your initial commission payment, proportional to the amount for which the character sells. IE: character goes for $60, you'll get a $30 rebate, if it reaches your commission payment or higher, you get all your money back. If the character is AB'd, you stand to earn 100% of your commission payment, PLUS an additional 15-20% profit.
This was intended for character creation, however, if you have an old character you no longer want, you can have me draw and sell this character.
Rebates also have a $10 discount
EXPEDITING OPTION: My delivery time on commissions averages around 6-8 weeks (though I expedite simpler commissions and bone-throws when able). However, if you want to speed things up, you can pay a fee to expedite the commission. Pay 1.5x the commission's price to have it done in 30 days or fewer, pay 2x the cost to have it done in 7 or fewer.
COLLABORATION OPTION: Want your commission done faster, but don't want to pay to expedite? Maybe consider a collaboration commission! The concept is really simple: you pick one artist from the folder group in my gallery labeled "Collaborations" to work with me on your commission, increasing its speed and color variety. Each artist also comes with a link to their full FA profile and a list of what they will or will not draw in a collaboration. The fee will vary from case to case, but it won’t be too intense. Maybe just an extra ~$5-$10.

TMI Update Thursday
Posted 6 years ago HEUGH. I actually had important stuff to say on Tuesday, but FA was down <:3c
So, first and foremost: I'm taking the week off. This was bigger news on Tuesday. But, here we are. I've been ill and injured for a while now and I just need a couple extra days to heal up, recover, and maybe do some personal doodles. FA going down was actually a pretty good excuse to take my impromptu vacation.
Second: starting next month, my prices will increase slightly (maybe 10-15 dollars across the board). My current prices are a year and a half old, and I feel like I've improved since then.
Also, things might be getting a little difficult around here in the coming months. We're losing a roommate and having a hard time replacing him.

Posted 6 years ago Yeah hey, May's tomorrow, but today's Tuesday, so today gets the Mothers' Day journal :3 I kind of shot myself in the foot though, I don't really like having characters get multiple discount times in a row, and two of my moms had discounts all last month for their birthdays...
BUT, on the other hand, no one ordered anything with them last month, so fuck it here we go! Got a lot of 'em this month, because I'm adding a special, and we have some birthdays :3
It's IRS' birthday (May 8th) and Maya's birthday (May 23rd), so they're both discounted all month. In celebration of Mothers' Day: Naomi, Beth, Esmeralda, OMRS, and Isis are all discounted. FINALLY, I'm running a special: There's a discount for pairing Night with a mom, AND...it's another $10 off if he's paired with one of the mothers of his children :3 Yeah, how about that? Not so deadbeat of a dad right now, is he? ;D

Goddamn, March was busy <:3c March is ALWAYS busy. It's the month of the most and highest bills combined with the most commissions.
Anyway, not actually much to report. If you missed it last month, I've started to allow expediting options when I'm commissioned. Paying 1.5x the commission cost guarantees delivery in 30 days or fewer, 2x cost guarantees in 7 or fewer. I'll allow for 3 expedited commissions in my queue at a time so as not to be overworked.
Also, we have some birthdays this month: Beth on the 19th, and Esmeralda on the 4th! So, for this month, Beth and Esmeralda are both discounted. However, since it's also Ape-ril and I'm super biased, I'm also discounting Knight, Valkyrie, Nan, and Bea. Might also be running some specials on IRS given the climate of the month <:3c

TMI Update Tuesday, New Discounts, New Options!

Woo-wee, I keep forgetting to update people here :3 Hokay, so, new discounts: We've got birthdays this month, so OMRS, Johanna, and Nan are discounted the whole month. Bea and Tasha are also discounted for this week.
I'm also now opening up a commission option I've been keeping kind of close to the vest for a while, which is the option to expedite your piece. I'll open up three slots at a time for expediting commissions. Paying 1.5x your commission cost gets the piece done in under 30 days, paying 2x commission cost gets it done in 7 or fewer.
We'll see how this works out. I was originally keeping it a bit of a secret to avoid becoming overworked, but I think I can manage this much :3
