And I hate it. I don’t want to be like this, I don’t want to be socially awkward, but it’s been like this for me through most of my life, especially if I want to approach others and try to talk to them, maybe make a friend or two on my own. When I want to try to talk to someone, my thoughts are like “Hey, this person seems like a good person, maybe I should try talking to them, maybe they’ll want to be my friend.”, but when I actually want to try it, my thoughts go to “Maybe I shouldn’t. They’ll think I’m weird or stupid and they won’t like me.”, and then I end up not trying to talk to someone.

The only reason I have friends is that they approached me and wanted to talk to me, that’s when I know that they like me and want to be my friend. I’ve been trying to break out of this slowly, but sometimes I think that it’s not working at all and I go crawling back into that shell. Even now as I make this journal, I’m saying to myself “When people see this, they’re gonna think that you’re doing this only to get attention.”, which then I just want to delete this so no one will think that about me.

I’m not trying to seek attention. I’ve been wanting to put this out there for a while too. I just don’t want to be like this anymore.

I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while now, but I never got around to say anything. So now I can get this off of my mind and push it out publicly. I wasn’t exactly sure about role playing with people I don’t know at first, but I’m willing to give it a try. So shoot me a message on one of my contacts if you’re interested, or send me a note here if you don’t have those, and we’ll arrange something.
