Posted 3 years agoHey everyone. I know right, x-amount of years on here and this is the first journal ever? Wtf right? Anyway, i love art. I love the creativity, the communities it creates and the people can be amazing. Few days back, i had a person watch me on here and they said that they hope to see more of my art. Shocking to me, but the compliment felt good.
Here's my issue. I havent been able to actually sit down and create anything for a very long time. Several years to be exact. Long story short, parents were unsupportive of my creativity and said they wouldnt pay for college for a hobby.
Since then, i have had the worst kind of mental block that holds me back. Its maddening, ive been long out of practice and i have no idea where to start up again. I keep buying sketch books, pencils, pens, etc that all sit and collect dust. And dont know where to begin to begin. Its rough.
What do you think i should do?
