That all certainly was an adventure! But as of last night we got power back, and as of just a short while ago today, we got our internet back as well! There we go.. All is right once again.

Posted 4 years agoOk so making a small update where I can with the little service I can get right now.
Good news! I survived Hurricane Ida, we are ok, the house is ok, and other than a few downed branches, we’re not too bad! We have food and we’ve got plenty of water. Honestly in comparison to NOLA we’re actually came out pretty unscathed.
Bad news… Ida was..quite intense (Cat 4) and took out many power lines and telephone poles. As well as a plethora of trees, and even some light flooding. We have no power. We have barely any cel service (seems I can get a better connection at night). For what little news we are able to get they say it could be at least 2 weeks before power can be turned on- maybe longer.. it’s going to be quite hot.
Most places around here don’t have gas, or if they do there is no power to pump it. And with no power or service we can only pay in cash at the handful of places that are open- thankfully we had some stashed away.
It’s going to be quite a trip these next few days/weeks. In that meantime there isn’t much I can do. But I wanted to give everyone a heads up that doesn’t follow my Twitter.
Not much else we can do other than hope it’ll come back on sooner :T

Hurricane Ida
Posted 4 years agoOk so.. for those that dont know it, I live in Southern Louisiana and we were are in the direct path of Hurricane Ida. In fact where it stands right now, this thing is going to be coming over on top of where I live, and if they are calling predictions as they are, they are calling that it could strengthen into a Category 4 storm. Yikes!

Honestly we have taken all the precautions we can, but at the end of it, we are going to be staying put, hunker down, and hope for the best. Its going to be what it is. With how strong they are saying this storm is going to be, I have very little doubt that we will be loosing power, and if it was anything like Katrina.. that may be more than just a couple days. All the same, in case I go missing for a while, you all know why xD;
It is a bit ironic that this storm will be falling on the same day Katrina did 16 years ago. hm :T

Its a Girl! (commission delay)
Posted 5 years agoIts been a long time coming, but we finally we brought home a new addition to our family!
Meet Ahsoka!
We're still in "trial mode" with her, as we only brought her home yesterday afternoon and she is already proving to be quite the fussy baby! She's only 6 weeks old, but due to her mother becoming aggressive towards her and her siblings, she had to be remove quickly from her previous home. Outside of the foster family that she stayed with for one night, we are her first real human interaction. That being said, it will take her some time to adjust to being with us and setting a routine until she feels safe and relaxed in her new home, and with that, means that it is rather difficult to work while also keeping an eye on her and our other pup.
While the idea of us getting another dog was something we have been planning on, adding a new member of our family has been...stressful in the past 24 hours ^^;;
I do apologize that commissions will be slowing down a little bit as I work with her. If there is any problems or concerns, please feel free to contact me!

Happy 2020! Commission and general update
Posted 5 years agoHappy last day of 2019! I swear it feels like these past couple months just flew by, huh? Ive been meaning to make a journal about this for a while now, and given that today is the last day of the year I should..probably..get around to that xD So first and foremost!
🖊️ Commissions- name changes, and price increases 🖊️
"Chibi Commissions" will now be renamed to "Mini Portraits Flat/Shaded" and with a small price increase to them. Being that I felt like I could never really find a style that was simple enough to be "chibi' and I kept putting more and more work into these than I think really needed to be, I have decided to stop fighting against it and just make them what they are. They also now have the option to have a simplistic added background if you so choose for an additional fee.
All Detailed Portraits will also be seeing a small price increase due to my "level up" in art and finding myself once again starting to put more detail into my work.
At this moment these are these are the only 2 commission types that I see need to be increased so everything is staying the same.
▶ Commissions- limited slots coming ◀
Ok so....I have noticed this bad habit that I have been getting myself into and it really needs to stop. What seems to happen is that when I open commissions, I take on many- if not all the forms that I receive-> then I close commissions and begin work, taking on much more than I can handle but I realize this too late and therefore keep my commissions closed until they are done-> commissions are closed longer than I intend for them to be-> Once im done I reopen for commissions and then take on as many forms as I can to compensate for being closed for so long-> wash, rinse, repeat. I have a hard time saying no because I get so many great ideas from people that I want to do them all and then feel myself start to burn out which makes work harder to do.
So as much as its gonna be REALLY HARD to do, come 2020 I am going to have to start limiting the amount that I take at a time, to hopefully be able to take on smaller work loads more often. Or so thats the plan anyway (I always have plans, whether they work out or not is a different story xD; ) Already I feel awful for how long its taken me to finish up my most recent list, and while I know many people dont mind the wait, I dont like it and I feel as tho I should have been done right now. I feel like I keep missing out on other events, like events and holiday themed art because if my commissions arent done, then I cant work on anything else. So heres to the new year in hoping to start having a more regular work load!
Off-Queue commissions are still available to friends and frequent buyers, this does not change
☕ Ko-fi art☕
In response to my main commission slots being limited, I want to see about opening up for smaller art that I can do around the time my main stuff is done. Ive seen some artist on twitter offering art for those that donate to their ko-fi accounts. Its something ive mulled over for a bit and want to try out! I have to figure out exactly what it is that I want to do, and a price range for it, but hopefully that will be a way to keep some art and funds coming in without having to take on more work than I can handle.

And now onto the last section! Patreon! I want to try and do more with it, or at least try and offer something more. I know that at this moment I dont think that I could rewards like many other artist, which I think is a big draw to Patreon. Ive been bouncing ideas back and forth about what I could offer as I really want to help others, so I thought about offering tutorials. I know some people have asked me about how I go about doing certain things and thought maybe some small video tutorials might help! Again something that ive just been thinking on, and I havent fully committed to it, but I wonder if anyone would be interested in it.

Small Commission Delay

Just a heads up that there will be a bit of slow down of commission between 30th-6th, as my husband is taking some time off of work for a little stay-cation for what feels like for-freakin-ever. Its been a looooooooong long time since he has been able to take off of work that was more than just a couple of days, and I would really like to spend some time with him before its back to the grind. Thats not to say I wont be doing any work, just not as much, as we have some plans to go out and spend some 'us' time together :3 That being said, if anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me, and I'll get back to you as soon as im able to!

Commission Hiatus

After doing some thinking for the past week that ive been back from what has felt like 2 very crazy months, I have come to the conclusion that I will not be able to offer Main Slot Commissions this month like I had planned.
I know I know, I hate it too, and I really didnt want it to come down to this, but with the way things have been paving out recently, as well as some personal issues, I just dont see myself having the time in order to do the OTHER things I need to do. So I figure that I can take this time to do what I need to do, and then be able to open up in November and take on a lot more slots as opposed to taking only a couple right now. Its a long wait but I hope people will still be interested when I open again ;;
In the meantime I do have some YCH art ive been holding onto, as well as offering "Off Queue" commissions for friends/frequent buyers. Also as ive been going through my stuff at home I have found some items that I am looking to sell (mainly small and incomplete fursuit items) at cheap prices just to get them out of my face. All in all theres just a lot that I need to sort out and I need to stop trying to put that off xD;;;
Again my apologies to those that have been waiting, I feel really bad about this ;____________;

Off to A-kon30!
Posted 6 years agoStarting tonight i'll be on vacation, heading out to Dallas, Texas for A-Kon as we do every year. I'll be gone from the June 27th-July 1st, the last on my commission queue will be finished then. Main commission slots will most likely NOT be opening in July- opting to do smaller items and YCH until August, so I apologize for anyone who was waiting for an opening soon.

2019!- Updates to come!
Posted 6 years agoHappy New Year everyone! I hope it was a good one for you all, for whatever you may have ended up doing :3 So with the new year, and the fact that I have been meaning to make this journal for some time now, im finally getting around to updating on some things that I have been meaning to xD.
General
Mainly, first and foremost, I really want to try and get back into costuming. I have just been having this itch to sew and I already have gone and cleaned up my work space and even ordered some new things! I have plans for a few costumes this year, and I would also like to stream me working as well, as im hoping that it'll keep my more focused and from getting so frustrated. I even got a bunch of cameras set up to my laptop in my craft room so you know..thats a thing. All in all I im looking to hopefully get back into fursuits and the cosplay scene :3
That being said, in regards to commissions
Commissions
I really like this new set up that I have had going on with my commissions recently. I like having google forms to be able to sort my work and be able to have more control over my work load, I cant even begin to say what a help that has ended up being. Im sorry that I cant take on commissions completely full time like I used to, but now im feeling like I cant take more time and care into the commissions that I am taking, which is making me feel more confident about my work (its a nice feeling xD). So as it stands now, general commissions will open around the beginning of every month- except for September and October. I will take on a few at a time and that will be my workload for the month. Once thats done, next month rolls around and it all starts over. The exception to this may be months like February where I really wanted to do Valentine themed commissions, and possibly for months where big conventions are running I want to try and do specialty commissions for that- badges and the like. Ive got ideas floating around xD
Other things??
Not really sure where to put these other ideas I have, so theyre just going to go here. I also want to try and do 1 YCH a month, I really enjoy doing them, but I admit that sometimes I just draw blanks when it comes to ideas for them |D So you know..im open to some suggestions for any ideas if ya wanna just throw those out there <:3c
Another thing I really want to get is a Patreon. I mean, I did make one, I just never really did much with it. I hate feeling like people have to tied down to something, mostly because I know there are a lot of Patreons out there that I just dont feel like I have the proper income of funds to support, and I dont want to push that feeling onto others. That and the idea of making rewards also is a little daunting to me cause once again..I dont even know what to offer! One of my friends runs a patreon and their only option is $1 and its open to the public so its more of a 'if you want to, but dont feel obligated"...I really like that idea, and maybe I can offer up PSD files of personal works I do or..something. I guess what im getting at, is if I had a Patreon would anyone be interested in it? ^^;

Since the slots seem to be going fairly well, I was surprised to see that they had filled up as quickly as they did, and I did have some people who had been waiting but due to time zones and schedules that they werent able to get their info to me in time. Which sucked because I had really liked a lot of the ideas they had! Not to mention trying to go through multiple sites by the time I was done posting I had so many messages to go back and check and it just became a hassle. My friend
isparkyfael had suggested using Google Docs and Ive been spending some time looking into it and getting a more proper form made up. SO! Next time I open for commissions I will have a link to the form and will leave them open for a few hours, this will give people time to be able to fill out the information and get it to me. From there commissions will close and I will pick a few that I feel will work with whatever time I have and then go from there. I would like to try this out and see how it goes.
I am also going to be working on setting up some "Guideline Rules" as it seems recently theres been some misunderstandings about the commission process so hopefully with this that will help out.
Also August is going to be very tight on commissions, this year has been..very odd for me and im trying to find a way to adjust it something that works. I should also mention that like before I will be CLOSING commissions in September-October to work on October's story and all that goes with that. I think after that things should calm down and I should be able to open for more commissions and have things moving along much smoother.

Commissions opening tomorrow
Posted 7 years agoSo wow, this took a lot longer than I thought that it would, but if everything goes well, tomorrow I should be able to open up for commissions again. Im not too sure the exact time that will be, either late morning or early afternoon, but i'll be posting an 'commissions open' picture when they are. For now I am only going to open for 5 slots to see how things go, and once those are done i'll open for more, and so forth. So this is just a heads up for anyone who might be interested :3

Posted 7 years agoWell what a fun little vacation its been, and ive enjoyed some much needed time off, but with today being the last day of my vacation tomorrow i'll be getting back to work. I apologize for anyone who has been waiting to hear back from me, I promise that I didnt forget! But before I get back into the swing of things I have some things that ive been thinking about and wanted to put out a notification about just to help keep everyone in the loop.
Commissions will continued to be CLOSED until July (or unless other wise stated)
Yeah this wasnt my intention to have my main commissions remained closed here, but I have made some previous promises and wanted to make sure that I kept to them. My Pride YCH stickers will continue to be available for the rest of the month at the special price I have set them at, and I would like to continue with those since they are a lot of fun to do. Anyone that I have already discussed about commissions for this month, no need to worry, you will still be able to get your commission :3
Commission slots incoming
Something else ive been thinking about, and been seeing other artist do, is opening for a certain about of slots at a time. In the past ive always just had my commissions opened, and just worked as I got commissions. But recently it seems that my stickers have really taken off (which is awesome, I love doing stickers) and with my prior way of going about things, had people waiting 3-4 weeks to get their commissions and I really didnt like that. So what I want to try out for a bit is opening about a few commission slots at a time. Once slots are filled, commissions will close and open back up as soon as im done. I think this way I will be able to manage my time a little better, move commissions along quicker, and keep myself from burning out. I'm planning on making a "Commission Open/Close" picture to hopefully keep people updated on that. So we'll see how that goes, if anything i'll go back to the usual way of doing things xD
Possible rush order slots?
Something else ive been thinking on as well..I dont know if this is one that I'll do as of yet, but sometimes people need art for cons or gifts and in case my commissions are already filled, I was thinking about offering 2-3 "rush order" slots. These will have an extra charge added and will have higher priority to make sure they get done in time. Again im thinking over this one as im not sure how fair that is. Not that it happens often either xD
Detailed Portrait Commissions price increase
In my time off I have been drawing for myself and have been learning a lot, and thus have also noticed that my art has improved and becoming more detailed. My Detailed Portrait Commissions will be going up by a couple dollars just to try and compensate more for the time and effort thats going into it. All that will be updated when my commissions open fully once more.
So I think thats everything! If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to comment or contact me directly! :3

Commissions Closed!
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone! So after some extensive thinking these past few days, I have decided that I am going to be closing up commissions for the next couple of months in order to get caught up. Not only that, but with our yearly trip to A-kon looming around the corner and a costume staring me in the face that I have hardly started on, I really need to make time to get that done. So it would be in my best interest to do this, and possibly take some time work on some other little projects that ive had in mind as well. For those of you that have already contacted me about a commissions, you'll still be added to the list, its pretty much after today that i'll be closing. I may open sooner, if I end up getting more things done, but most likely they'll open again after A-kon, which will be in mid June.
In other news, in the meantime besides finishing up commissions and what not, im also going to be looking into some merchandise designs ive been holding off on, some YCHs, and selling some older characters that I wont be using anymore. So hey thats something!
I apologize to anyone who was looking to commission me, and if there are any questions youre more than welcome to contact me!

Commission delay
Posted 7 years agoIt is with a heavy heart that I say that tonight we said goodbye to our little girl, Dora. She passed away at about 3:30 this morning with my husband and I holding her and telling her that we loved her. She’s not in pain anymore and she can finally rest. I’m going to miss that little dog.. I will still be working but I’m afraid that it will be slow. Once again if there are any questions or concerns about your commission you’re free to contact me.
Possible commission delay
Posted 7 years agoIm so sorry to say that I think commissions are going to be on a small delay as of these next few days. Our dog, Dora, has fallen ill suddenly, and its been back and forth visits to the vet in the past 3 days. We're not totally sure what is wrong with her, as even the vet is stumped, but it seems like once we fix one problem, another one starts up. Right now im actually debating whether or not to take her in again today as of a little while ago she was having trouble walking. I dont know what this may mean for her, if our time with our little girl might be coming to an end or this is just another bump in the road. Its making it very hard to work as Im constantly checking on her and fretting over her health. I promise I am still working, but if anyone has any questions or concerns youre more than welcome to contact me!

Posted 8 years agoHello everyone! Its that time of the year again! My commissions are now closed through the month of September and October. Some of you may be asking, "But why?" Well if you dont know already, I run a yearly ask blog on tumblr that only updates during the month of October and I will be taking time to prepare for that as October is a very busy month for me as it is. Fear not! I will be opening my commissions again come the first week November. While my main commissions are closed, this doesnt mean that you cant get art from me at all. During the month of October I usually do livestreams with discounted commissions, and sometimes- if I can- I even will do some free art! I will probably also see about offering up some collab commissions with starmuttani as well as YCH and other such things between other projects.
But I really need to commission someone!!
Then boy howdy let me tell you I have a surprise for you! I have some friends who are way much more in need of commissions/funding and they are some SUPER AMAZING artist that sadly do not get the recognition like they should! That being said let me list them to you:
redvarg is SO FREAKIN TALENTED with hardly any watchers and shes actually just started offering Telegram stickers and they are pretty much the best things ever. Not to mention her sculptures! Friendliest moose you'll ever meet! I could go on and on!
shiroganeryo is another AMAZING ARTIST and I have no idea why he doesnt have more followers??? His art prices are a steal like seriously is crazy and he needs the money to help with his poor kitty who broke his jaw!
dragonfoxstar a long time friend who has been whipping out art left and right and has such an eye for detail. Not only does she do art, but her and her twin sister offer many other great items like ears, tails, kigus, hoodies, and MORE!

So all of that being said..I will also be attending MFF this november with my yeen and I am so excited! So many furs have been telling me that theyre going and I am anxiously looking forward to seeing everyone. And on top of that i'll be making a partial of Night to wear as well. :3
