Collab commissions between  starmuttani and myself, will be moving to about 2 streams a week. While days could still vary depending on if anything comes up, it looks like most of the streams will be taking place on Tuesday and Thursday nights. (usually starting around 6:30pm-7:00pm central time zone.) A-kon fund OTS Stream

So with my usual trip of A-kon coming up here in a few months I am looking to start building up my fundings to go with some OTS streams. These streams will be running about 2-4 nights a week roughly and will be starting around the same time as the ones mentioned above (so around 6-7 pm central- unless stated othewise. All updates will be made on twitter) I am looking to do streams on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and maybe Saturday.

"Every year, two Cancer Research charities do fundraisers in my area.

One is Pink Vail, "The world's biggest ski day to conquer cancer."
Pink Vail raises money through its participants for Breast Cancer and
other forms of cancer, and proceeds benefit patients at the Shaw Regional
Cancer Center.

The other is St. Baldricks Foundation. They hold head shaving events all over
to help raise money for childhood cancers and other cancers.

I have two friends who each do fundraisers to raise money for these events. I was able to donate some money last year, but I'd like to try and raise a little more to help this year. So I am going to open for discounted commissions until these events take place, and 100% of the proceeds will be divided to help with both fundraisers.

I will be offering small traditional works, ranging up to 8x10 inches in size, including badges and bookmarks.
Pricing will range from $5-20 USD, and are set to be about $5 off the regular pricing for my commissions.

Ok wow what a crazy end of the year it has been, right? Things just seem to be zooming right on by, and with that it has come to my attention that I really need to get some things straightened out.

Commissions

As of today, my Detailed Portrait commissions are now CLOSED until I finish up this current batch. They will open up again once these are all done, but the price on these will be going up to compensate the amount of work that is going into these more and more. If you have already contacted me, and/or in the process of getting one you are still able to get one at the current price! I just cant take any more at this time as they seem to get more and more backed up and just finding them more and more daunting every time I try to work on them. That being said, my regular commissions (icons, chibis, ect) are still OPEN. I can get to these faster and therefore I tend to do these before the more detailed projects. Im so sorry for those that have commissioned me and are still waiting to see a sketch, I promise that I havent forgotten! As always with any of my work, if you are curious about getting a commission from me and what you want is something that I dont have listed normally, feel free to ask! I am usually more than happy to do different things that dont fall into the category of my regular stuff.

Updates

So as I had said before, come the new year I am going to be changing some stuff around on my page. I have never been someone who has been very good at presenting myself in a 'professional' light but its come to my attention that i need to start doing more of this. Hopefully it all goes well I will be fixing up the layout of my page, as well as making a special twitter/tumblr/facebook page for my little art business (ChicoryFox) where people can see more of my work that isnt strictly FA only, as well as keep up with any updates with art, streams, ect that dont get mixed up in my general life rambles on those accounts. When the detailed portraits open up again I will only be taking on a few at a time (probably about 5) and those slots will be first come first serve, once they are filled they will be closed and then opened once they are all done. I am also looking to get on a weekly stream schedule, maybe get myself a cool banner and other such things. You know to make it look like I know what im doing!


Announcements

So with all of that being said, im doing this because I really want to be able to have a balance of being able to do both commissions and other things I want to work on. I would like to start doing more YCH auctions, OTS Streams, and Merchandise. I have also been playing around with a fun idea that my friends came up with that was the idea of me running a YCH 'strip club' type of deal. I really have loved this idea but sadly have not had the time to really think up ideas for it, but if all goes well I would like this to be able to become a thing! But as of right now I really need to get what I have out of the way so I can feel a little less overwhelmed. I am also looking to change up some of my commissions, getting rid of the things that havent gotten any interest, as well as offering new items (like digital badges and derpies).

WELL!...it has been some time hasnt it?

Looks like my hiatus from work got a little extended on the account that, as luck would have it, I ended up getting sick on my birthday last month and it dragged out for about 3 weeks. I dont know what I had but I hope to never get that again! October's blog went over really well, and while I enjoyed it, in a way im glad its over now until next year. Now with that said and done I am looking forward to getting back into my commission work as ive had a few people contacting me all with wonderful ideas that im excited to get started on.

Hello everyone! So heres an update that I needed to mention. During the months of September and October I will be closing my commissions. As wonderful as everyone as been (seriously, could I really ask for better commissioners??? I dont think I can!) I need a bit of a break to finally clear off all that ive been working on, and then take some time to work on my own personal projects (shameless link here to my once a year blog that you all should totally check out if you frequent tumblr http://ask-october-fox.tumblr.com/ *coughcough* sometimes I do request streams )

That all being said, if you have already commissioned me, fear not! You are still on the list and your commissions are still being worked on (albeit a little slowly) and they will be finished! I just wont be taking on any new work till November (date to be determined). Anyone still wanting to get a commission you still can, I just ask that if youre looking for larger/more detailed pieces that you hold off on those till I open back up full time, but smaller/simpler pieces are more than welcomed! :3

While I may not be taking on bigger pieces at that time that does not mean that you cant get art from me at all. In fact in my spare time I have been working on some more adoptables and even have plans for more YCH auctions and possibly some OTS/PWYW streams during this time. I just would like a break from my more detailed stuff since my energy levels have been dwindling more and more and I think I just need some 'me' time to recharge.

I still just wanted to thank you all for being so amazing and wonderful and just making me really love what it is that I do. I never thought that I would be able to do something like this for a living (drawing furries/animals all day! A nice big middle finger to my art teachers back in high school who told me that I needed to stop that xD). So really, from the bottom of my little foxy heart, thank you! <3

Hello again everyone, its been a little bit hasnt it? Needless to say most of you know that things haven't been so great for me lately, but I also know that the last thing that my dad would want me to do right now is sit around and mope about it.. I am going to try and slowly get myself back into work as I have Akon coming up in a June and I really just need a vacation from everything thats happened. I appreciate all of the kind words and messages that you all have sent me, it really means the world to me and made me feel like I wasnt alone. Im still feel really down and empty but I know I need to try and do something. So if im still slow with things I apologize, Im doing the best that I can right now as my emotions seem to like to come in waves. That being said the first of the YCH auctions are up and I hope to get some interest that will help me get out of this slump.

Dad passed away tonight, he went peacefully and surrounded by friends and family. We did everything we could and dad didn’t go down easily. But he’s finally at peace, and that’s all we could ask for.
I love you very much, dad, you did so much for so many people and you had a greater impact in the sports world and those that met you. Thank you for everything you did for me, for all that you taught me, and the memories we shared. I’m going to miss you so much.

Im going to me MIA for a while, I need some time to gather myself and be with my family. Thank you all for your support and the kind words, I wish I could say more to you all but know that it means so much to me from the bottom of my heart.

So mom called me a couple hours ago...Ive only now really been able to gather up the strength to sit down and type up the update from the last journal I made...Sadly it seems dad has got an infection while being in the hospital, though from what I understand they are trying to treat it the best they can..but...in more bad news....they were able to finally do a full body scan on dad and.... well.. the cancer has spread throughout his body...its in his lungs, his back, his hips..and his legs....he... doesnt have much time left as mom has told me. If they can cure whatever is causing the infection then they might be able to prolong what time he has left but for now..it might be only a matter of a couple months....or less..

Im honestly at a loss...I dont know what to do. I'll be going to the hospital to see him tomorrow, I can only hope hes coherent enough to see/talk with me.

I dont know what i'll be doing from here on out..I really cant say. I am going to try and continue on with what I can but..I dont think it'll be much. To all my commissioners I am deeply sorry, i'll try and get to your commissions when I can...

Im just very...torn up right now.


UPDATE: I'm at the hospital now, I don't know if I'll be staying here tonight or going home...dad may only have a few days left...thank you for all of the comments you all have left me. I don't have the energy to respond to everyone but..from ghe bottom of my heart, thank you all for understanding..

My mom just called me a little while ago to inform me that Dad is going into the ICU because his blood pressure has suddenly started dropping and the doctors are worried he might have an infection. Its kinda hard to tell yourself 'not to freak out' cause you tend to freak yourself out more. And now I get to spend the rest of the day waiting on what might be the best or worst call of my life.

This will probably be deleted later once I find out whats going on but for the time being my plan on working anything is starting to come to a halt ;_____;

Ok so its been about a month since my last journal and I figured it was time that I made an update with some recent things that are going on and also might be going on later. I will try to keep this fairly short so that I dont ramble on.

Personal

So as with my last update about dad, things have made a slight improvement but its not...much? Kinda like a one step forward bu two steps back kinda deal. Dad is back with us mentally, which was something we were worried about for a while, so he seems to be back to his old self which is wonderful. However, physically he might never be. Turns out when he broke his leg about 2 weeks ago it was from a tumor that had formed on his femur and from what we can see, the cancer is still spreading rapidly (as we figured it would with the type he has) and I went to stay with him recently back in the hospital on sunday night. He is in a lot of pain, so much so that he cant sit up for more than a couple minuets before he cant stand it anymore, hes complaining about pain in his lower back and we dont know if thats from his sciatic nerve or another tumor. Needless to say that this isnt good as he really needs to not spend all his time laying down. The hospital staff are absolutly wonderful in trying to encourage him to keep going at it but...its very hard. I hate to say that Dad may never be able to walk again at this point, but right now I dont know whats going on with him. I can only hope the Physical Therapy will start helping and maybe with the addition of a pain management doctor they might be able to see whats wrong with him and help him with that. Though in some good news about that is that my mom helped me get a new laptop so that I will be able to take my art on the go so if I need to up and help out with anything, I can without having to pack up my whole desktop to do so! I have named my laptop Tabitha.
All in all its just been very frustrating with all of these setbacks when we have so much help and support I just wish we could start seeing improvement ;___;


General

This isnt something thats too important but I wanted to make a mention of it anyway. I think that I will start adding my NSFW art to my main gallery here since FA has now included the addition of folders so I feel like I can make things a little more organized (not that ive taken use to that yet anyway <<). Of course all NSFW will be tagged and while im sure that my watchers dont really care I just wanted to say something about it anyway! Also I might be changing over my 'porn account'  redskytwilight to a 'fan page' instead where I upload all of the art for me- commissions, gifts, trades, ect ect- just to keep it all in one gallery. I rarely did anything with the page and I only have a handful of watchers there so I dont think it'll be that much of a big deal, but again, just wanted to give a heads up about that...I just dont think i'll be doing that any time soon cause im borderline laaaaaazy when it comes to that stuff xD


Commissions

Commissions are still moving along. I am trying my hardest and I wanted to say thank you to all the people who have been so supportive and understanding of whats going on with my family. I promise you all I have not forgotten and I am still working as much as my little paws will let me, not to mention my lack of energy has also been such a pain but as I said..I am working as much as I can to make sure that every commission I do is up to par with all of my work and that you are getting my best possible effort to make each piece special and unique.


Misc


Ok so on top of commissions I am also planning my yearly trip to Akon in June, as I always do. I am planning on doing more stream commissions to help raise the money to be able to afford everything (cause man I need a vacation!) I am planning on offering up two things here in the next few weeks. One is a set of 7-8 individual YCH poses that I have been working on for a few months but have not been able to finish. They are called "Taking Center Stage" and based on various pole dancing poses. I would like to have those up here this month, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Details on those will be posted but I figured I would throw out a heads up on that for whoever might be interested! Two will be another stream commission session that will most likely be going on at the beginning of next month. I havent fully decided what it is im going to be offering yet, thought at the moment I am thinking i'll be doing 'mini portraits' that will be like the detailed portraits I offered before...but mini! I will have examples when the time gets closer. I also think that I will be going about them a little differently (again this is all up in the air!) in which I will have the streams planning out and will be taking a numbered set of slots for each stream that people can claim and then I will work on those for that stream, before taking orders for the next stream. Hopefully that makes sense xD But of course more details on that later on. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas as well, please feel free to let me know :3

Also I have recently changed my fursona from a wolf to a fox!.....this really has nothing to do with anything I just wanted to throw that out there xD Im also set in the design that I want so hopefully we'll see that soon :3

Hey everyone! I know that what im about to ask it probably rather selfish of me but I thought that I would give it a try anyway. I found out last night that the radio station my dad works for has set up a GoFundMe page for our family to help with the rising cost of medical bills that they are facing with everything thats been going on. Donations, large or small would help out, but if anything if you all could spread the word would also mean the world to me. Dad's condition hasnt been looking so good, as some of you know, but we're still fighting through this and dad isnt given up. and while theres not much I can do I thought bringing this up could at least be something. Again anything helps, and just getting this out there I think would help the most.

Ok so as to give everyone an update on what is going on in my life.

Commissions are still being worked on as quickly as I can, and thankfully it seems that ive been able to work myself a schedule to try and finish about 2 commissions a week. That also being said, if anyone may remember what I had updated about a couple months ago with my dad and his condition...sadly it hasnt been good news.. The chemo treatments havent been doing anything and last time he went for a check up they found that he now as a tumor on his spine. Dad is still in good spirits but it has been taking a toll on him and everyone else, emotionally and physically. That being said my mom fears that dad might not have much time with us left, and has been asking me to come over and spend more time with him in that chance that things dont improve. I might start taking a day off every week to go over to my parents' place to visit, or maybe every other week. That being said I am still going to keep working on commissions but that might put a small delay on other things, but I promise that I have not forgotten and I am doing my best to keep everything running smoothly.

In terms of streaming, I am usually streaming on the weekend to work on merchandise for my redbubble page, but I am thinking that maybe when I get things a little more stable, I might look into doing some stream commissions 2-3 times a week, letting people order before hand. Ive got something in mind but I havent gotten all the details worked out just yet.

All in all I just wanted to give everyone a head's up on whats been going on and why things have been a little slower than usual. Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope youre all doing well <3

Ok I know that I have mentioned this to a few people already, but with the influx of commissions that I have been getting and noticing the increasing in my skills I have come to decide that I need to increase the price of my commissions. The only commission prices that will be changing is the "Detailed Portraits" everything else will be remaining the same. I really appreciate those who have come to commission me, but I like to make sure that I create unique and personalized pieces for each one, and I feel as tho my prices need to go up as my skill has gone up. It wont be a drastic increment, and anyone who has already contacted me about quotes those prices are still set and will not be affected. But come Monday, January 18th I will be increasing my prices! I figured it was best to do this now and let people know so I dont just blind side them.

I still plan on looking into the 'stream sales' but more details on those later once I get my current batch under control. Thank you all so much!

Hello everyone! So I finally managed to get all of the stream commissions done and I gotta admit that they were SUPER fun to do! Now I do need to get back to my regular stuff cause thats been piling up |D but I was curious..Since the stream commissions went over so well, would anyone be interested in my stream commissions being offered as an option on my normal commissions? The point of the commissions is that they would be at a discount from my normal prices, but they would only be done during scheduled streams. So basically it would be you get a discount, but there is a wait, or you can pay regular price and get it sooner. That being said i was thinking I could schedule 2-3 streams a week and take a number of slots each week to do these, or something along that nature.

Id love to hear from you all :3 I would like to be able to keep myself with a more consistent work schedule, so I can help support myself a little easier than just hoping that i'll get a commission each week. So that being said, would anyone be interested in something like this? Do you have any other suggestions that might be helpful? (perhaps just doing sketch streams instead?)

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say thank you so much for all the interest in the streaming/discounted commissions! They are now closed and prices are back to normal (unless I have spoke with you prior). I dont know if I have ever felt so confident in my art, more or less had so much drawing while streaming! That being said im afraid that I cannot stream tonight (as I will mention in a moment), and i'll be out of the house up until monday. As promised all of these commissions will be streamed until they are all done, so chances are that will be picked back up again on either tuesday or wednesday, thought it seems my schedule is still quite crazy, im sure I can make time for it.

Now for the personal part. For those that remember my journal about the upsetting news about my dad well...it seems like things were looking up for a moment but thats..well thats not the case now. The final "this is what it is" is still not 100% certain and we may not know until next week. Mom has informed me that the Doctors are saying that its looking to be more of a sarcoma type of cancer, which was what we were really hoping it wasnt. Needless to say this was not the good news I was hoping for and has just left me in a mess today with so much already going on. For that I apologize that I have to cancel tonight's stream, but with having to run back and forth between here and my parent's house and other things that need to be taken care of, its just not working out today.

I normally don’t like to talk about my family life but I’ve just gotten some bad news. So I just got off the phone with my mom a short while ago. She called to tell me that my dad was just diagnosed with cancer. Sadly we have no details at this time, I don’t know anything else about it other than that. There’s still some hope that it could be easily treatable, but they’ll be going out to Texas on Monday to go see a doctor for more results. I do hope it’s nothing, or if it is it’s easily treatable. I don’t know, and right now, I am not ok.
I’m still going to try and stream my commissions, I just need to take my mind off of it. But I just wanted to let you all know.

Ok so, hello everyone! Its been a while hasnt it? The month of October was really great and my October Fox blog was quite a hit! But as nice as the month was, it was quite taxing. That also being said, Ive got a big event coming up and needless to say..my bank account isnt looking so great. So I was thinking of offering some discounted commissions to help me out for the next 2 weeks. I also recently was able to get myself a streaming program that allows me to use Pictaro so that I can stream my art (music and dancing ensues!), and ive found that its been so fun to draw with an audience as it helps keep me focused. That being said I am curious..

Would anyone be interested in "On the Spot Commissions"? I figured they could range in price between $10-$25 (extra for added characters) and you can watch as I work on your commission from start to finish. Im not too sure how many people would be interested in something like this or would you rather just send me a note and i can work on them as I would normal commissions. These streams would most likely be taking place in the afternoon and night time, but all in all I just wanted to get a idea of what you all might be interested in. If you could comment and tell me your thoughts on it I would greatly appreciate it :3

Casually tapping me on the shoulder is good, or if all else fails just yell something offensive like 'Team Magma sucks' but dont do that cause I might throw something at you or if you want to get on my better side yell something like 'Team Magma is the best' and then i'll probably not throw something at you. Or you know...you can just say 'Hey Night' and i'll be all 'oh god someone knows my name, please dont tell you I owe you anything D: '....Actually the best way to really get my attention, and possibly safer way, just say something eevee related and you will have my full undivided attention. Especially if you are in an eevee cosplay cause i'll probably want to take your picture <3

Ok so I am noticing that I cant seem to fit all of our 'Battle For Hoenn' on my front page and im not sure why. I would really like a place to be able to display them all, cause that would be cool, but it seems like I can only post so many icons before I cant anymore. Where can I post more of these icons to show them off? I wasnt sure if there would be a limit in a journal, cause if there wasnt, i would love to make a whole journal dedicated to these icons and maybe have all the info for them there.
