Nine Years, What's Next? (Update 7-28-25)
Posted 3 months agoFirst a reminder to myself to JUST KEEP MAKING THINGS!
And now the rest.
9 Years
A big thank you to everyone for 9 years of support~ The anniversary actually passed much earlier in the month but I figured it would make more sense to line it up with my birthday. I have a lot of jumbled thoughts on this, but the short of it is that I'm very grateful to have this space. People here have been unbelievably kind and supportive and I definitely wouldn't have acheived this much growth as an artist and a person without you all. This is an important place to me and I don't intend to give it up~
I'm currently mulling some kinda thank you series once my big projects are at a stopping point--maybe a big raffle YCH and some other limited YCH to try and get some specific people some nice art. I've now surpassed 2100 watchers which is nuts, I really feel like I need to do something to celebrate all the milestones. If you have any suggestions or want to contact me about something, there's both the box and notes n all that of course~
Current Projects and Timeline
I am still deep in the asset mines, but approaching big milestones at the same time. There's a lot of uncertainty in this environment at the moment but I just want to make it clear that I intend on finishing and releasing these games regardless of the circumstances. The mouse game will be a free full release, and the Demo for Pandacam will also be free. If you'd like to support me with a tip there will always be a way to do so even if I have to be a bit sneaky about it.
In any case, the current order of releases is looking like this:
-First the mouse game, which will be a free, fully finished game. I am currently in the process of animating character sprites, after which development will significantly accelerate as I'll actually have enough functional assets to get to coding. There is a considerable amount of hand drawn animation involved (the player sprite is currently at somewhere over 300 unique frames, and there's another 150-200 or so to go, not counting the outfit variants of some of them) but much less that needs doing on the coding side. I'm honestly really excited to get there and see all this work come to life. I do plan on releasing some early builds for people to play around with on Substar, and I'll also be posting previews here for everyone else to get an idea of what it's all about.
-Second is the Pandacam demo: Currently I'm in the process of assembling assets for the test build, most of the animation is done and I'm largely doing secondary stuff for Minigames. I probably wont release early builds of this though I will be doing previews and WIP here and on Substar.
-Third is much more nebulous, but I am planning on returning to Wayward Butterfly with a completely redeveloped demo once these two are out of the way. I've been really surprised by the interest people have had in what exists already and I definitely want to see this one through. I really jumped into the deep end with that one and didn't quite have the time and resources I needed to get it going. A signifcant amount of the work I'm doing on the mouse game will be used as a framework for Wayward so I can get it rebuilt and moving much more quickly development wise.
-Once the 2 current projects are done I plan on doing a bunch of much smaller games, things like little Minigame collections or VN style interactive animations. I eventually do want to make my initial plan of semi-monthly sketchgames a reality, maybe starting with one game every 2-3 months. These would all be free of course, though I'd like to offer some YCH slots for them as well~
In short, there's a lot to do, but I'm very excited to show it all off and pleased with my progress!
Illustration
I will still be posting at least once a week here, though those posts will speed up as I start putting out previews for the projects. To be honest I feel like I hit a wall with illustration until just recently, which is why I've been experimenting so much. The reception of that pic with Nev was really surprising to me and very pleasing considering how much I enjoyed the process of that one. You can expect I'll be doing pics progressing that style for a while, though still experimenting with some different techniques and brushes. I might cut back on backgrounds for a bit as I've been struggling with them, expect some simpler paints or more abstract backdrops for a while. I'm not sure what the next theme will be, I do want to make some more beach pics, but I've also felt a desire to do some more Fantasy setting stuff. I might do some sci-fi themed pics as well or wrap that into the Halloween Series when the time comes.
I'm still open to art trades at the moment so if you're interested let me know~ In any case, thanks as always to everyone who watches, faves, comments, or just takes a look at my work. I really appreciate it! Here's to a very big year 10!

Just Make Games! (An Update 4-3-25)
Posted 7 months agoA long overdue update and a reminder for myself to just get these things done!
Despite the time since the last one this will actually be pretty brief, generally covering what I'll be doing for the near future.
Game Work!
This month I'll be focusing my energies on getting the Sketch Game to a programming focused state, which means pumping out lots of assets. At the same time I'll be working on animations for the PandaCam demo, as that has left the drafting phase too! I'll probably share some of that here, though I don't want to spoil too much of either. The past few months I have felt very paralyzed by my own critique, the feeling of not being good enough, needing to improve this or that to be able to make this stuff work and I've realized I really just need to move past it and get something out there. It doesn't need to be perfect-- I called it a sketch
game, even-- or big and impressive, just something to show myself I can put these together and get something out there for people to see. When the time comes I hope it's something some of you will enjoy~
Original Work
As a result, I'm really gonna be winging it on original pics (Sunday Sketches mostly) for a while. There won't be a particular theme or series or format, just me kinda doing whatever I feel like. If you see something you like feel free to let me know if you want more--the suggestion box has been a big help and I'll definitely be drawing from there as well this month. I'm also open to simple art trades or collab pieces if you'd like. I also have tons of great Subscriber Sketches to post! Last round was especially amazing and I'm very excited to start sharing those next week. I've also been quietly working through my backlog (including one which will be done very soon) so you might see those popping up every now n then too.
Milestones and Thank Yous
I have completely lost track of these! We have blown past so many so quickly I'm not really sure what to do! When I have less on my plate I'd really like to do another free raffle or gift series, maybe some simple animations even for people. Short of it is, Thank you so much for supporting my work!
As an extra note I also plan on touching up my SubscribeStar soon--some new banner art, icons, and a new pricing chart that better shows off the sketches you get at each tier. Since I've improved a lot it's not really accurate anymore.
That all said, if you'd like to collab or do an art trade feel free to send me a note, and suggestions can be put in the comments of the linked pic on my profile or sent in a note as well. As always, thank you so much to everyone who faves, watches, comments, or just takes a peek at my work! I really appreciate it!

Update (8-22-24)
Posted a year agoHihi, been a while since a proper update. I've mostly been working quietly, lots of stuff going on behind the scenes right now in terms of game progress--in particular a lot of the boring stuff is almost over with, so you'll get to see more of the fun artwork soon~
In any case, here's what's goin on and coming soon.
Secondary Gallery(ies?)
Next month I will be setting up another gallery~ While FA will remain my main place for the forseeable future, I thought it'd be good to have some other places you can see my work~
In the past I didn't want to do this because I had enough trouble managing all the commissions from FA, and didn't want to balance that with another website, but now that I'm done with those, I see no reason not to. It'll probably be Inkbunny for the first, and then maybe Weasyl as well. I do also post on E621, but I see that as more of a tool for reaching more people than a social place as it were.
Game Progress
PandaCam is scheduled for a Demo release by the end of the year, and I'm currently working on it's full animation artwork~ I'm quite excited about this one, and it'll be a pretty meaty demo as well~
The sketch game is currently approaching the animation phase as well, and I hope to have that out around the same time. It's grown a bit overlong, but I'm hoping that a big complete release will be enticing to people.
Wayward Butterfly is currently on hiatus, but artwork is being done in the background. I've had to retool a lot of things so I've chosen to go quiet on this one. I'll probably shadow drop the update when it's done.
The Queue
The queue is mercifully short now, so I'll be reworking it for the next update. I have no plans to resume commissions so my hope is I can start getting those last few things done.
Art Trades (and being social)
So I haven't done too well at this one. I really wanted this to be the year I did more with other people but it's honestly been a struggle. Rather than dwell on it, starting near the end of next month I'm going to open up to a limited number of simple art trades and free requests. More details will come next month, but if you'd be interested and want to know more, do note or discord message me and I can tell you some more about what I want to do.
I'd also like to do some kind of milestone celebration thing before the end of the year--not sure what. Maybe a group ych or a very limited raffle. With both of these I'm avoiding putting too much strain on myself, so limited is the keyword here.
In any case, thank you so much for all the faves and watches! I blew past so many hundred marks, that 2k Watchers is the next big milestone to hit. I've been doing a lot of different kinds of art lately, and it's been very nice to see the positive responses to all the different styles and content. I feel like I'm in a very experimental phase, and it always worries me to do things differently, but I do feel like it's working out.
As always, thanks so much to everyone who comments, faves, watches, or just takes a look at my work--I really appreciate it!

Super Quick Update (1-15-24)
Posted 2 years agoA really quick update to let you all know I'm back in full capacity~ The end of December and the first half of this month have been plagued by very bad internet issues that have made posting very annoying, but these are seemingly dealt with now.
Coming up will be lots of paint experiments, as well as sketches that I've been unable to post for a bit. If you'd like to make suggestions for new artwork like characters or concepts based on what I've drawn in the past, feel free too btw~ I'm working up to doing more collaborative and interactive work.
A new journal will go up this week with an updated queue as well.

Moving Forward (12-18-23)
Posted 2 years agoThis is a follow up to my announcement from yesterday, I recommend checking that first for a more succinct explanation of what I'll be doing moving forward: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/54840639/
If you'd like to know a bit more, do read on.
On Illustration and Commissions
When I originally started this account 7 years ago, the purpose was to encourage myself to practice art more and to draw in an audience that would make it easier to see the strengths and weaknesses of my work. Back then I had a game idea I really wanted to make a reality, but as I started work, I realized I just wasn't good enough in any area to make it happen, and trying to practice all those different skills at once really meant that I just wasn't improving much at anything. The goal then was to focus on illustration, since it'd be at the center of any game I wanted to make in the future. Most of what I posted back then were pose or style studies, and then experiments with color and especially lineless color, which I absolutely struggled with. I mainly worked in black and white back then, usually with ink and very little digital technique applied on top, since that was another area that I knew very little about. In particular, I wanted to progress to a style of digitally painted work that would be good enough to make assets with, and I feel pretty confident in saying I achieved that. I still have a lot I'd like to improve and I'll still be doing studies and experiments, but I do feel like I'm at a point where it's time to start putting my illustration to use as originally intended.
Truthfully, illustration has been a real struggle the past few months. I feel like I accomplish very little each work session, and I don't often feel like I'm doing my best. If I had to guess why, it's probably because I'm just not working on the things that I want to be, and I'm at a point where I feel frustrated every week that goes by without progress on my projects. I think some of this has been apparent in my output, and while I do generally like what I've done recently, I also feel very burnt out by it. My hope is that by beginning my switch to a new, project-focused schedule, the remaining commissions will be a bit easier to complete, especially now that I'm down to the last few.
On the topic of commissions, I have to say I'm really glad to be moving away from them as a source of significant income. I know many artists who can do amazing work at a damn quick pace, but one of the things I've had to come to terms with is I'm just not one of them. My skillset has a lot of strengths, but a rapid pace isn't in there, and the limitations that come with that have made commissions more stressful than they really should be. I really enjoy executing other people's ideas, working with new characters, and challenging myself with unique ideas that I wouldn't otherwise come up with, but I definitely think it's a task that should be for every now and then, not as a constant workload. This round has some especially awesome ideas, and that's made it a bit tougher as I rarely feel like I'm living up to the potential of each request. I'm happy that people seem to really like them nonetheless, but there's a certain part of me that expects better, and I don't think I can do that anymore while taking on this many commissions. I will still be taking some in the future, they'll just be much more spontaneous and limited. It's always okay to ask if you're interested, and if it's something on the smaller side I might be able to take it soonish.
The end of commission rounds will also give me time to do art trades every now and then, and perhaps take some requests too. I would really like to collaborate with more artists, and now that I don't have to worry about the money aspect of them it's a lot easier to do on my end. In general I'd like to be more social here, I've met a lot of really great artists here and it does perturb me that I haven't been able to interact with them much this year. It'll be a little bit before I can do any, but if it's something small I can probably do it early into the new year. Just like commissions, it's always cool to ask~
The final piece I'd like to mention is how much less stressful posting is now. It probably sounds odd but I put a lot of thought into what I'm posting each week and how often. I pay a lot of attention to what pieces are featured on my front page, including the quality, medium, characters, and content, which is why I've been so picky about what goes up and when. I do a ton of work that I just don't post, not necessarily because I don't like it, but because I don't feel it's something the audience would like to see, or because it doesn't fit with the rest of the work I've done at the time. Some of this goes up to SubscribeStar, but there are some things I don't even post there for the same reason. Now that I'm moving on, I feel much more comfortable posting whatever I want. In addition to sketches and doodles, I also want to draw more characters, especially guys, which I often avoid since I recognize the girls are much more popular. If you like my existing characters I'll still be drawing them all the time, but you'll also be seeing a lot more variety, as well as some character designs in progress. I'd also love to start taking more requests and suggestions, now that I'm not worried about it all "fitting in" or being up to some nebulous standard. In general, I want to focus on having fun here, just making some nice work while I put the more business-y energy towards my projects.
Coming Soon
I have a lot of things I intend to release early into the new year, as well as every month from then on. I layed out the jist of each in the original post, but here's some more detail if you're curious.
Wayward Butterfly: I have been IMMENSELY frustrated at how long this has take. What was originally intended to be a small update refining combat and introducing some new mechanics has now taken over a year. IRL shit is actually the main culprit here, which has left me in a place where the rest of my work time had to be spent on commissions and illustrations. Now that I'm moving on I can actually start having full, regular work days for this and I'm excited to get the next update out. This will be much larger than intended, including all of the core combat mechanics for the game as well as some extras. I'm essentially taking half of the planned updates for this cycle and picking out the most fundamental elements to put into the next build. One nice thing about the hiatus is that I've had a lot of time to think and finalize ideas for the game, so I have a much clearer idea of the scope of it. I have a lot of fun making assets for the game and probably more getting things actually working. I've been doing a lot of hobbyist programming as practice in my down time, some light modding and studying of code structure to get a better idea of how to implement everything I'd like. It's a lot of fun and I might make it my full time hobby since besides artwork I really haven't had much else to invest my energy into. Back on topic, expect a pretty large update in terms of mechanics and content, I'd like to implement some of the extras as well so you can get more of an idea of the NSFW content in the game.
PandaCam: This is another project I've been sitting on for a long time, although it had much more work put into it on the pre-production phase. I put together concept art and design docs a long time ago but haven't been able to get down to actually making a vertical slice until now. This is a much simpler game, almost like a micro-game collection wrapped in a puzzle game of sorts, it'll be very intuitive when you actually get your hands on it. This one has a much lighter and more comedy focused tone, and a lot more nsfw content up front so it's designed to be a bit more hands off gameplay wise. It's a collaborative effort with an awesome writer and game creator and I'm really excited to finally put together the things that have been on paper for so long. The demo will probably be a single level, again with some extras and hints at further features. It has some synergistic elements with Wayward which make coding both of them much easier, since there's a lot I can just re-use from one to the other, and in terms of content it focuses much more on guys which is a really nice change of pace.
Game Jams: This is a much looser concept, but all I mean by this is I'd like to produce some short games each month, mini-projects so I can test ideas and learn new programming concepts. These would be short stories, probably no more than an hour in length, with varying gameplay. I have a bunch of ideas, but I think I've already settled on the first one, which will be a bit of a point n click adventure with scenes to find and maybe a few different endings. The core gimmick will be that it's focused more around collecting pieces of dialogue via a recording device as opposed to picking up items, and most of the puzzle solving will involve saying the right things to different people, or playing sounds in the right environment. It'll be very light in tone, more comedy focused, and the main character will be Flummery, probably in her original design for this one, though I really want to do one that uses the older design I posted recently. In the future I'd like to let people vote on this, though I'm not sure how exactly I'll do it. I might do it SubscribeStar exclusive, maybe alternate between that and open to everyone, or maybe offer extras to people on SubscribeStar like cameos or similar? I'm not sure yet, but either way it'd be fun to get community input on what you'd like to see.
I feel like I had more to say but it's not really coming to me right now--in any case, I think this is long enough. Maybe I'll do a follow up? Maybe not. Either way, thanks as always to everyone who has supported my work~ I really couldn't have gotten this far without you all, and I hope you'll like what's coming even more!
Interim Update + Queue 11-7-23.
Posted 2 years agoA very brief Post-Halloween Update.
With October over, I'm in cleanup mode as I have no further plans for big series this year. I'll be finishing up the last few raffle pieces this week, then commissions and subscriber sketches, and then I'll be tackling what's left in the backlog. The Holidays will likely be mostly cute sketch pieces, though I may work in a surprise or two.
When raffle pieces are done this week, I'll be posting a BIG update. Things will be changing around here in a very big way and I'm excited to get down to what's planned~
The queue follows:
Queue:
I am staggering all work, which means that the simplest commissions will be done first.
Soft Paints (Most Complex)
1. Soft Paint Via Discord (PAID) (Linework in progress...)
2. Berry(PAID) (Soft Paint) (Linework in Progress...)
3. Losstride (Soft Paint, 2 Char, PAID (Up for Linework)
4. TheTitaniumDragon(PAID, Up for Linework)
Extra Queue:
X. DragonTeufel via Discord (Sketchpaint, 4 Char, PAID) (waiting...)

In any case, I lost some time on the trip, so I'll be going hard the next few weeks to get all the commissions and raffle pieces out. All slots are full and confirmed so Commissions are now closed~

[CLOSED] Commissions (Moving Sale 9-15-23))
Posted 2 years agoUPDATE: All Slots are now full, unless someone cancels Commissions are now CLOSED. Thanks so much to everyone who purchased one!
A new journal will go up in a few days with the full queue.
First off, the raffle is now closed, thank you to everyone who participated, expect to start seeing pieces next week~
I am moving! IRL, I mean. In a week I will be in a completely new state and truthfully quite tight on money. I still have a few slots open for commissions so I'll be making another call for this round.
As I am in need, I'll be allowing for commission types outside of what's seen here, though I may close slots depending on how complex the request is. This could be higher quality digital work (Soft Paint) or even a looping animation. If there's something you're interested in, please let me know~
I am currently open for Sketchpaints, Retropaints, and Coffee Break Sketches, as well as Comic Page and Sketchpage variants.
Sketchpaints and Retropaints start at 60 with a 15$ charge per additional character.
Sketchpaint Examples: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....9/Sketchpaints
Retropaint Examples: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....lo-Retropaints
Coffee Break Sketches start at 25 and will cost 5$ for simple color, with one additional character for free. Additional characters will cost 10$ each after that.

Guidelines + Examples:
Examples of the kinds of work I make here!
If you're ever unsure about your commission idea even after reading the content guidelines, check this folder as well.
NSFW Content Guidelines:
I mostly do general NSFW pics (Lewds, Pin-ups, most common positions and acts), so if your idea is "vanilla" so to speak, it's definitely fine.
As far as more niche/fetish-y content:
-Light paw (pawjobs, generally not tight close-ups)
-Light bdsm/bondage (leashes, gags, chains/ropes, suspension, related positions; basically nothing particularly violent)
-Cumshots, excessive cumshots, bukkake, etc.
-Accessories, Toys, and body parts of a disembodied or ethereal manner are also acceptable.
-Tentacle and similar concepts.
Most anything else is off-limits.
Definitely off limits are: Cub, Watersports, Vore, Inflation, and Gore.

If you are unsure if your commission is acceptable, it is always okay to ask!
Payments can be made via Invoice on Paypal or through Ko-Fi. At this time all payments must be made up front.
You can still request a WIP for revisions.
If interested, contact me via Discord or a note on FA!

Free Watchers Raffle Pre-Run Info (8-28-23)
Posted 2 years agoA brief journal to let you know that I will be holding a free raffle next month to include watchers in special art pieces! Next month I'll be holding a late celebration for the 7-year anniversary, and included will be an opportunity to have a character featured in guest art with one of the ladies.
This will be a very simple raffle, it'll just be comment to enter and a winner will be randomly selected for each girl on offer. Right now there will be 6 available, Ström, Locke, Anko, Sorbet, Rin, and Mocha (I've already chosen someone for Flu, but I may do something special with her as an additional raffle piece if there's time). If there are a lot of people interested I may add more characters or do some separate raffle pieces afterwards. These will be lined sketches similar to the retropaints but with more full/detailed anatomy and proportions--you'll see the style in action on the actual raffle advert when it goes up.
The celebration will have a light petplay/bdsm vibe, but you don't have to lean into that if you don't want to. It'll mostly be seen in the outfits each character will have, though the winner may discard them entirely if they so choose~ Your character may be any sex/gender and any species, and I'd ask that you have a general act in mind before entering. This could be as simple as saying "oral" or "anal", a specific position you'd like or some additional details about the tone of the act (rough, cute, etc.). These won't be completely custom, so do try to keep what you'd like on the simpler side. Any kind of content I normally draw will be fine, but I will also be providing a more specific list of what's acceptable for convenience in the details of the raffle. If you're interested or have questions, do let me know in the comments. The raffle will open early September.
As an additional note; I'd like to find time to do a gift piece or two or an art trade, so if you have something with one of my characters you'd like to see, do let me know and I can see if there's time for it.

Commissions, Work for Hire (7-29-23)
Posted 2 years agoUpdate: This will be the last call for commissions! I am looking for 2-4 new commissions, and afterwards I will be merging the queue and closing shop. Thank you to everyone who purchased one!
Firstly, thank you so much for all the kindness over the last week; I really appreciate it right now. I'm truthfully having a very hard time IRL with a lot of different things, and it's starting to bleed into my work.
This week I'll be putting out new ads and my support info to try and get back on top of things. I am open for any type of commission, if there's something special you'd like done, please let me know.
I'm also up for any kind of paid work arrangement, like illustrating a comic, collaborating on an art piece, just let me know.
Example Folders are here:
Sketchpaints: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....9/Sketchpaints
Retropaints: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....lo-Retropaints
Rules and guidelines are posted at the bottom of the journal.
Slots:
1. Coldgemini (PAID, Linework in Progress...)
2. Via Discord(PAID, Linework in Progress...)
3. MonFA(PAID, Queueing...)
4. Rikori(PAID, Queueing...)
5. [OPEN]
Before anything else, here's the queue:

2. Berry(PAID) (Soft Paint) (Linework in Progress...)

Struggling (Update 7-23-23)
Posted 2 years agoEDIT: I finally got the sketch to upload, though FA is still being wonky about it so no full-size version tonight.
Truthfully I'm having a really difficult time with art; I'm not particularly happy with anything post Mouz-March, and while Commissions seem to be coming out nice, I'm not pleased with how things are going. This Thursday is my birthday and the 7 Year anniversary of this gallery, and I'm honestly not in a good mood about all of it, which is disappointing. I really wanted to start at least a month of fun celebratory pics, but now I don't think I have anything left in me for it.
This week I need to pick up at least 2 more commissions, so expect an ad; I'll upload the sketch as well whenever FA decides I'm allowed.
I'm going to try and find a new direction this week, something fun and easy on me, but I don't really know what to do. Any advice is appreciated.

MOUZ-MARCH, Commissions, Coming Soon (6-8-23)
Posted 2 years agoUPDATE 6-17 2023:
A quick update before the next journal. At the moment I will need to take a few more commissions in preparation for a big change, so look out for that next week. I'll only be doing cheaper/quicker work, so prices will be lower as well. The current commissions will be finished during the same round.
Before anything else, here's the queue:
Queue:
1. Private Soft Paint Commission (PAID) (Final Character Detail, 75%...) (Completion this week)
2. Soft Paint Via Discord (PAID) (LINEWORK WITHIN 1 WEEK)
3. Digi (PAID) (LINEWORK WITHIN 1 WEEK)
4. Berry(PAID) (Soft Paint) (LINEWORK WITHIN 1 WEEK)
MOUZ-MARCH Reflection
First and foremost, thanks so much to everyone who followed this series! If you haven't seen it, check it out at the link below!
Link: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....OUZ-MARCH-2023
This went on much longer than I intended due to everything else going on, but I'm really happy I got it done. I've been wanting to tell stories for a long time, and I finally feel like I'm at the point where I can do that. This one was largely written on the spot, and while there was a general outline of where every choice would lead, I improvised a lot based on what people seemed to like. The last few pages in particular were extended to provide more of a narrative and resolution, and judging by the response it was definitely a good move.
The artwork was also very experimental; I've been working on these sketchpaints for a while now, but this style of color is one that is still evolving. I feel like I'm in a transition phase as far as my art goes, and that does mean I'm often unsatisfied with large aspects of my pics. I change things frequently in the work process and you can see that stylistic change occur as the series progresses. I took a lot of inspiration here from some of the retro anime sources I've been looking into lately, and I'm starting to feel a cohesive look developing. Most of all I enjoy the expression work I did here, especially in the second half where I start to exaggerate and deform in a more obvious fashion. I often feel like my artwork is very stiff, so I spent time on these pages trying to make looser poses and more flexible facial structures--judging by the comments, this seems to have worked for you all as well~ Future series will continue to experiment, especially now that the process of making these pages has quickened.
For the next of many thanks, I want to say that I really appreciated the engagement on this series. I expected maybe 4-6 votes at most but ended up around 9-12 each time, which made each vote a lot more interesting; I was never really sure what would win out, and some surprising choices ended up being made. I really didn't expect the hot springs to win that one vote for example, but I'm glad it did because the page was a lot of fun and that one in particular turned out to be very popular. In the future I'll be setting up some more votes around these series, such as which character or setting you'd like to see. I think the next one will be urban/road themed, or maybe a little gritty sci-fi, but it'll be a while before then.
As far as the choices themselves, I wanted to keep the light-hearted tone of this story, so I made sure they didn't have strong consequences as far as the ending went--the end was planned to always be a sort of triumph, with some visual changes based on your choices. That said, the choices you picked definitely veered the closest to what might be called a 'bad end', and I did consider just going through with that more than once. In the future, I would like to do different endings, including failure/bad endings, though how those play out tonally will depend on the tone of the story.
This whole experiment was a lot of fun, and there'll definitely be another in a few months or so. In the mean time I will do some short/one and done adventures, so do look out for those and if you'd like to see certain characters, settings, or themes, do let me know!
On Commissions
For the time being, it looks like I'll need to take a few commissions each month to augment my income. Once I have a few more from this round finished, I'll be open for 2-3 more, and from then on I'd like to do 2 each month. If you're interested, we can set something up in advance, or if you'd like a package deal we can arrange that as well.
Art Trades and Collabs
I'd really like to do some art trades soon; I was originally planning to look for people to do it early this month, but I just don't have time for it at the moment. That said, if you're an artist and would like something from me in a sort of exchange, let me know and we can set something up. I plan on reaching out to some people when I have more time, but I'm happy to set something up in advance or do something very quick and easy now if you'd prefer. This goes for collabs as well, paid/for sale or otherwise. So if you'd like to do a YCH together or just some sketches or other, let me know and we can figure something out.
In the future I'd also like to buy a few commissions from people I know, but I can't really do that kind of spending right now. In general I'd like to try and get out of this shell I'm stuck in--really talk to some more people here~
Coming Soon
Wayward Butterfly is in progress again! I will be slowly chipping away at the remaining assets and dev work in anticipation of the next release. I've started posting updates on itch.io again, so if you'd like more info you can see it there, I'll also be updating on Twitter soon.
My other collaborative project is finally entering proper development soon as well, and I have to say I am so happy to finally get some work out there for this one. It has been immensely frustrating having to constantly push this one back, even if the same was true for the rest of my projects. Updates on Twitter soon~
Comics? I'd like to start doing comics soon, probably starting with some short one-offs to gauge interest. Keep posted.
Finally, there are still a few things on the backlog that have to get done, so I'll be working them into my schedule soon~
As always, thank you so much for supporting my work! It is really uplifting to see faces both familiar and new following my work still, and I've really needed the positivity of late. Honestly, life kinda sucks, but this helps a lot, so thanks so much to everyone who faves, watches, comments, subscribes, or just takes a peek at my work--I really appreciate it1

[UPDATE[Help? Commissions, Special Order, Support 5-2-23
Posted 2 years agoAn update to let you all know that commissions are now FULL. Thank you so much to everyone who purchased one! I'll be putting out a new journal soon that will have the updated queue in a more convenient place, as well as a lot of news, but I wanted to make sure it was noted here first.
Thanks for all of the kindness and support right now, you have no idea how much I appreciate it~ I really have to do a thank you month...
Hi again, a not so great update for you all.
I'm really struggling and could use some help--I mentioned an IRL job opportunity a while back that seemed promising; unfortunately, I've been ghosted and my other options have not worked out. For that reason, I'm going to open up to commissions for a while, including Special Order stuff like GIFs. If you appreciate my work and would like to see it continue, please consider purchasing a commission. If they're a bit too expensive, I am fully willing to accomodate you, just let me know what you can do.
Furthermore, I am also open to other forms of paid work, such as collabs, short term projects, etc. I am honestly open to anything at this point so if there's something you'd like to see from me, do let me know. That could include licensed/r34 art, comic pages, your OCs, my OCs, etc. I have opted to not run the Mouz-March YCHs at this time as I honestly dont think there's enough time to prep them given my situation, but if you'd like something related to Mouz-March that is also perfectly acceptable. If you'd like a commission outside of the styles I'm doing currently that is also possible.
Before I continue, I want to say thank you to everyone who is following the Mouz-March series. It's really been a big experiment for me with a new type of content for my gallery and I'm very happy with how it has been received. In the future I'm going to let people vote on the characters and settings they'd like to see, and I'll also be running some one-off choice pages inbetween these longer projects. It's honestly mindblowing seeing hundreds of views be the norm now, and watches have been flooding in. Thanks again to everyone who supports my work, I am so grateful to see it grow, and it's been one of the only beacons of joy in my life this year, second only to my loving and very understanding partner~
Below I'm going to post some concise information regarding commissions, other ways to support monetarily, and some of the ways you can support me at this time completely free. If you can't/don't want to commission or anything but still want to support, there are tons of free ways to help me out and I would strongly appreciate it. The 7 year anniversary of my work is coming up in July and I'd love to turn that into a Thank You month for you all, so I'll be keeping track of the regulars here and seeing what I can do.
At the very bottom will be a little additional ramble with some more context for people who want that sort of info, but of course you don't have to read it if you don't want to, all the pertinent info will be in the section below.
As always, thank you so much to everyone who faves, watches, subscribes, comments, or just takes a peek at my work, I really appreciate it!
Commissions!
At this time I am open for standard and Special Order Commissions!
Info on Standard Commissions here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10528240
Special Order Commissions encompass anything outside of the standard types, including GIFs, alternate styles, comic pages, etc. These can be large pieces which can become quite costly, so if you'd like a quote on a general idea you have first, I am happy to do so, just send me a note or contact me on Discord.
At the moment I am also happy to negotiate on price if the current rates are a bit too much for you, don't be afraid to let me know what you can afford!
As a reminder, commissions may include OC's (yours or/and mine) as well as licensed/r34 characters. These can be any sex/gender, and any species. If you aren't familiar with my content guidelines you can see them at the link above, as well as on my main page and in a dedicated gallery folder full of examples. If those don't help, it is ALWAYS okay to ask me first!
Collabs, Short Term Projects, and More
If you'd like to collaborate on paid work such as a YCH, comic, or other piece, please let me know! I am open to suggestions at this time provided they are not long term (I.E. no more than a month or two to completion). Don't be afraid to talk with my about it, I am very happy to hash things out bit by bit. Do keep in mind my general content guidelines and feel free to ask questions if need be~

If you would like to make a one time donation or support each month, there are two services to do this!
With a 25$ payment to either service you can receive a monthly sketchpaint should you like one~ Additionally, there are a number of lower tiers on Subscribestar that will net you different kinds of sketches each month, and on that platform you will see tons of behind the scenes posts, early posts, and a huge backlog of artwork.

Support me for Free!
A great way to support me is to spread my work around! You don't need to jump through hoops to credit me or anything, you can link any of my pages or just use my username "Nihilochannel" if people ask.
I also have a Twitter now where I post sketches almost daily! This is purely a casual art/fun place so every post will be either artwork or announcements regarding my work. I plan on doing some small and simple interactive art there as well. If you have a Twitter, consider following and retweeting as it's a very easy way to help me out. The sketches I make there will eventually make their way here as compilations, but you'll see them first and individually there.

Another way to help is to just leave some suggestions, comments, or critique! Whether you just want to say you like something or think there are things I should improve, I'd love to hear it. If you have suggestions on artwork you'd like to see from me, such as characters you'd like to see me draw, settings or poses and the like, please let me know!
Rambling
I'm really frustrated with how this year has turned out so far. I really wanted this to be a turning point for me but the last few months have just been brutal. Progress on Wayward Butterfly and my other big project are essentially at a standstill, and it really bugs me seeing assets I've made just sitting around because I don't have time to do anything with them. I really want to move to continuous project work this year, but the transition has been really difficult. I really didn't want to take more commissions after I stopped last year, but I'm running up against a very pragmatic problem in this regard. In short, I really don't have much time to spend on work I'm not being paid for. If that IRL job had worked out, this wouldn't be an issue, and while I'm still trying to fill this gap as we speak, I can't help but feel disheartened. In the future, I'd like for commissions to be something I do every now and then for fun, as the financial element of it really stresses me out now.
This month I will be finishing the current commissions of course and wrapping up the last pages of Mouz-March, but after that I probably won't make much in the way of new original work. Between commissions and my backlog of unposted pics you likely won't notice an interruption, but behind the scenes the work situation will be quite different. I'm going to put out an announcement soon regarding my projects, hopefully with a clearer timeline.
In any case, extra thanks if you read all the way down, you definitely didn't have to. Crappy IRL stuff aside, I still love putting out work here, and I'm hopeful that I can turn this year around. Thanks again, everyone!

Mouz-March
Thank you so much for supporting this series! I've had a lot of fun with it so far and it's been a really good opportunity to practice some things I haven't done in a while. This series will be wrapping up soon after the next choice, but if you'd like a little extra there will be YCH pieces coming soon after. I know what a few will be but I'd also like to open up 1 or 2 to a vote of sorts.
In the future I'll be doing more of these, but not a big one like this for a while. I'll be doing some small pop-up ones every now and then though, so if you liked this, keep an eye out for those.
Games
I'm starting fresh with my work on games this month--after a long drought and frustratingly slow progress I feel ready to get this done. My IRL situation is starting to develop so hopefully I should have more time for project work starting this month; I'm honestly really torn up about the whole deal with the start of this year. That all aside, do look forward to updates.
Future Work
Comics! I'd like to do more :> . The more comic-y pages in Mouz-March came out really nice, and in doing this series I really fell in love with visual storytelling again. I think I'm going to start with some little short stories and some standalone pages, and I might open these up to voting if there's enough interest in them. I'll also definitely be returning to the world of Mouz-March at some point. I'd like to get more gifs out, but most of my energy for animation is focused on my game work right now. That said, you might see some of those cleaned up as standalone animations as well.
I'd also really like to start doing collabs and art trades! I mentioned this at the beginning of the year but just haven't had time for them. Once my queue is clearer I'd like to start reaching out to people.
As always, suggestions and feedback are appreciated!

[OPEN] Update+Commissions (4-1-23)
Posted 2 years agoA super quick update:
Commissions are still open, see that info here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10504919
Slots still available at the moment, do ask about availability.
This week I'm going to be getting the current commissions underway, Mouz-March is over half-way done at this point, those will continue til the end. Thank you for all the support on it, I've had a lot of fun so far~
My IRL situation is kind of volatile, hence a lot of my ongoing projects have stalled. I'm trying to get the next Wayward Butterfly build out this month but I can't make any promises.

In Need of Help/ Support Drive (3-18-23)
Posted 2 years agoThings are unfortunate. I've tried to avoid doing this for a while and was hoping I could hold out for the Mouz-March YCHs but an unexpected expense has hit this morning and I really can't wait to deal with it.
EDIT: I previously offered a deal where I would offer sketchpaints for 25 to 50$ on Ko-Fi. I am rescinding this deal as it was made in a panic and would've potentially flooded me with work I could not complete. If you sent a payment in the brief time this was up, I WILL HONOR THAT DEAL. Please send me a message if you did so and we'll get your sketch in order. Thank you~
EDIT 2: If you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see me draw or commission ideas, please let me know! Truthfully I'm a bit stumped at the moment and would really appreciate anything you have in mind. This could be a specific kink or genre of NSFW stuff I've done in the past, or a kind of art style, r34, etc.
At the moment I am unsure exactly what I'm going to do about this. If you would like to arrange some kind of special order commission, please send me a note. This journal will be updated/another journal will go up when I figure out exactly what I will be doing to raise money. Apologies for the prior notice, I wasn't in the best state of mind.
If you would like to support without requesting a sketch at this time, feel free to do so via Ko-Fi or SubscribeStar, it is strongly appreciated at this time.

Truthfully I'm extremely frustrated and upset with this turn of events. My IRL work opportunity is not progressing as planned and I feel pretty cynical about this whole ordeal. I'm going to keep trying with my IRL situation, hopefully something gives.
Thank you so much for all the support recently, especially on Mouz-March which I'm having a lot of fun putting together for you all. I'll definitely be doing more of these in the future. The next page will drop on Sunday as normal.

MOUZ-MARCH Interactive Story (3-5-23)
Posted 2 years agoMOUZ-MARCH has begun! Check back every few days for new pages!
Additionally, thank you for over 1600 Watchers!
More information Follows:
This month I'll be starting something new, it's a NSFW Community Choose-Your-Own-Adventure of sorts! That's very wordy, but really all I mean is that I'll be doing a series of pics telling a fun, lewd story that you'll be able to influence through comments. Every so often a page will offer a few options to choose from, and the most chosen option will dictate the next pic in the story. It's free and quick, and hopefully a good way to engage with this audience more~
This will be a light-hearted, whimsical adventure story following Flummery the Mouse on a quest chosen by all of you~ The title page will go up in just a little bit (provided you're here before it was posted) and this week the first choice page will go up. These will all be sketchpaints, some with just some little comic book touches, and others will be full comic pages. There will be 11-12 images when all is said and done, and some YCH pages will be offered at the end.
If this sounds interesting to you, please let me know in the comments here or on the pic when it goes up! If there isn't any interest, I'll just make it a static comic. I'm really hoping this picks up some traction though as I think the idea is a lot of fun and I'd like to do more in the future with different characters and themes.
As a side note I'll be abbreviating my support message for these since I'd like the little blurb and choices to be easily legible. If you like this, please consider supporting through Ko-Fi or SubscribeStar! Ko-Fi is set up for one time tips and the 25$ monthly sketch, while SubscribeStar offers a number of sketch tiers and lots of behind the scenes content.
In any case, thanks as always and look out for the first pages this week~
