You see, my boyfriend managed it to get it on my computer since I really wanted it for a while because most of my favourite artists use it (not that it would instantly make my drawings better) and I wanted to try it out.
I'm still fooling around with it before starting "beautiful" art so I won't screw up that fast, but I still got some questions.

-Do you prefer the pen or the brush?
-If so, what's the reason/difference?

-How large is the brush size you use for normal line-art? I was thinking between 0.7 and 2.3

-How long have you been using SAI?
-What program did you use before?

-Is this the best/easiest software for drawing? (cause I understand it faster than Photoshop)

-Are there any tutorials or videos on YouTube that might might help me?



The advances I'm experiencing right now are
- You almost don't even have to SEARCH for the tools required (cropping, transforming etc)
- Not too much bullshit, like Photoshop
- Everything is on one side, which calms the mind more
- It looks funky.

Before Photoshop I've used Photofiltre, so a 'drawing-only' software is an amazing invention to me.

Due our new nest of sheltie offsprings (www.littlebutbrave.nl) the camera isn't available since the puppies seem to need to be on a photo almost every hour ¬¬

Okay this might be a strange topic, but I was wondering what's going on in a pansexual's mind!
I'm not sure if I have any pan watchers but...I'd give it a try.

Why I'm starting this topic is because this is my timeline:

straight ( I was like "I'm far enough from the standard, being gay would probably be too much")
bisexual ( "omgsh girls are really attractive actually")
homosexual ("guys are ugly, immature, insensitive and stupid")
bisexual (first I was in denial, but then I met and we got toddah, and I figured out some guys actually ARE nice)
pansexual maaaaaybe?

I think I might be pansexual because transgenders are my kind of kink, I love ftms, and I have lots of respect for mtfs, and I loooove femboys and tomboys all the way, I also like women and some men ( my pref stays female).
But there is just ONE thing I would only like if it was someones serious problem or a mtf thing and that's a female with a penis or with both parts, I do like cuntboys alot though!

But by that it doesn't make me pansexual right...?
Cause I thought they were all like "I don't care what's between your legs, as long as you shower, and I don't care what's on your chest as long as there is a heart in it".
Am I right...?


For now I've been like this for a while "I like who I like, I love who I love, and I like you for your character and looks, not your gender".

Okay I swear this'll be the last journal for today, haha.
I'm not used to spam pages buuuuuut today I'm extremely bored.

The fact that when I draw a stupid silly doodle of some otter or something perverted and nothing detailed it gets 5 favourites within a minute, and when I draw something big, detailed, special and something I've worked on for more than 5 hours or something it gets not a favourite at all.

What am I missing here?
Is an concept really more important than quality?
Cause I thought a mix was the thing.

I'm not drawing for popularity, I'm drawing to get better, so it won't make me stop challenging myself to higher levels.
It's just kinda....kinda annoying...

Just like when your mother cooks you something, something she put alot of effort in, she tried to make it really tasty for you, but you only look at it, take a little nibble and then say 'thanks, but no thanks' and grab a big sack of salty crisps instead.
That's the exact feeling.

I recentely uploaded a drawing of Lapin Lazuli, a bunny lots of people seemed to were fond of.
And my beau Mylo once told me it might be a nice thing to make adoptables for a little money.

So I was wondering, would anyone be interested in designs from me?

It won't take a long time and I won't ask much for it, maybe 5 dollar or something? or would that be too much?

Which calls for an celebration!
Well...no not really... I'm still here in belgium, coming home the 5th so no art or anything special I can do =_=
Anyway! why is this special? wellllll most of the teenage angsty-kids above and under my age always change their fursona once a month or so.
I used to be like that.

When I started taking art more serious I mostly drew myself as a standard anime-looking fox and anything between that and a sucky human.
I was called Spirit by then.
I can't find any pics of her...LUCKILY.

After that I got to know about fursuits and saw these REALLY difficult looking markings and wanted something like that.
Because I just tried to draw digital I only used the basic colour-board-palette-thing.
Wanted to make a unique, personal and natural looking character, but I failed.
It also explains my deviantart name 'hoyuty', "husky coyote", I NEVER ever explained that online so here ya go...X]
I created the design when I had this Gorillaz-phase and had a kind of crush on 2-D.
So yeah...
I do have pics of her, but since I'm not on my own computer it's hard to show.

AND THEN, I went to a gray-phase, only using white, grey and black.
It was a 'dwolg' dog/wolf.
She got updates for getting more green-things and blablabla.
I had her for a loooong time.

Then I got this fuzzy dragonlike thing, Spirit.
I had her for....I think...well a LONG year.
She was a monster and anthro-only.
I still have a wip-fursuit of her and still love her but...she just didn't feel like how I am now, she was all evil and angsty.

But now! I got a fursona that really feels like me.
That'd be because I tried to make the exact me as a canine creature, and it feels just like me.
Created her on august the 8th 2009, with lots of songs from 'passion pit' 'jeffrey star' and the song 'teenage dirtbag', eheh.

I'm happy with her.
And she did change too through these two years ^^
I'll make a drawing of it.
The name 'nihil' comes from the word 'nihil' which means 'nothing' 'a low chance' 'nil', and...when I created her there was this whole sparkledog thing going on, and I wanted my own character to be just simple and not....like an explosion, so....I AM Nihil ^^


TL;DNR: Nihil is created exactly two years ago and I had many fursonas before but this time I got her the longest and I hope I won't get sick of her for a long long time!


This was probably a huge waste of time to you all, but I am not responsible for how you spend your day.
So if you don't like long stories, get away from your computer for a change and get a job instead of making crappy faux-fur-tails for your living~

Have I ever promised you I'd draw your character?
I know at least one now, and I really wanna make it up.

Over a few days I will go for two weeks on a holiday with my parents and  tailsietails to the Ardennen in Belgium so I can start digitally about.......let's see....RIGHT NOW.

And after that I could sketch lotsof things.

The people I owe them art will only get about...5 sketches or what ever, I just can't make one pretty thing when I have to...so yeah...

It's just that: Everytime I promise people to draw them a character I fell in love with their character and wanna start as soon as possible, and I mostly don't have the time to start directly, and when the days pass my 'love' fades away a bit, which is my motivation, and so yeah....

It's like a mosquito bite on your skin which won't go away, but will remind you it's still there by being incredible itchy.

So  mabarial, I will try to make some sketches of Mabel.
I HAVE tried about 5 times to make a really pretty drawing, but it turned out so goddamn crappy...


I wanna go back to randomly surprising people by drawing them their character instead of asking them if I can draw them ^^'
