So I want to know from someone who has lived an worked in Scotland for any long term amount of time… how is it? Might think of doing a career change and working abroad.

1 Ambiguous Endings:

Not gonna lie. I absolutely hate this shit. Not finishing a story and then claiming it’s better to let the reader decide is some class A bullshit.

Lets call this what it is. Lazy . 9/10 times this is the excuse used by writers when they have backed themselves inti a corner and cannot think of a satisfactory ending so rather than actually providing one they pull the ol’ “Let the reader decide” It’s lazy and more unsatisfying than if they pulled some bullshit out of their ass and actually gave an concrete ending.


2 Killing off fan favorites.


Again this is a lazy tactic disguised being clever.

Killing off beloved characters is okay now and then, but honestly it’s used as a shock tactic to make something poorly written seem much more visceral and impactful than it really is. The vast majority of the time it’s completely unnecessary and writers have been overusing this bullshit since GoT started to make it a trend

Other examples of this are killing off characters who are way cooler than the MC so welp! They gotta die! Can’t have anyone outshine the main character! So let’s kill them off so this basic bitch boring ass protagonist can be shoved at the audience.

3 Reoccurring villains:

Oksay so hear me out

So many stories have reoccurring villains that lost any appeal long ago ( Looking at you Joker)


Examples of this are The Joker, Doctor Doom.


Both are over used and quite frankly lame in my opinion. They are so over used that in an attempt to make them seem more relevant they up the ante on their crimes to make them feel like a more legitimate threat. Instead they could give other or even new characters time to shine instead of using the same boring bad guy over and over.

Right now these are what come to mind. I do not claim to be an authority on this subject, and these are just some gripes I have. In short these are opinions, and while I am okay with discussing this stuff please don’t come at me aggressively for these opinions. Thanks.

Is an amazing artist and very easy to work with as a commissioner.

Sadly the dude isn't getting the the publicity he needs, and quite frankly deserves so I am attempting to signal boost him so hopefully he can grab more clientele. I recently just got back a commission from him and am very happy with it.

If anyone is thinking of getting some character art, especially with any sort of background then I would recommend this guy!

So If you are an artist and someone commissions you may I be so blunt as to ask you NOT just fucking ghost them? I have had this too many times now, and it has happened again. I pay for work ad up front and then the artist ghosts me. I am dealing with someone now who yes I took a while to pay for it in full, but did not ask that they continue until it was paid, and now that I have paid them, they are just fucking gone. I have messaged them several times and nothing. Prior to me paying they were easily reachable, not that they have my money Poof! Not a word in at least a couple wesks solid. 58 to be specific. I am trying to be patient but rn I am starting to loose my shit because I have see this shit happen before and it has ended badly. Honestly not sure if I should try being more direct but I can't handle this shit rn. So yeah as an artist a simple message back REALLY goes a long way. Don't just leave people hanging for over a week without a fucking word....

I don’t want to feel anymore. I can’t take being stressed out all the time. I don’t know what to do anymore. I can’t. I just can’t anymore.

My life over the past 2 weeks has taken a gigantic shit. I don;t know what I will do, so if I have discussed getting a commission at this point I cannot do so until this is all sorted out.

Got scammed. am fucked. Dont know what I'll do.

Aside from 1 or two exceptions any commissions I have talked about with artists in the past while I am just canceling.


I really feel like I am being taken advantage of to a degree. I have always tried to be understanding and patient, but I have started to feel like my good nature is being taken as a sign to walk over me.


Rght now I have two commissions I can think of that come to mind.

One is an artist who slid into my DMs and asked me to comm them. I don't like this for a multitude of reasons one being that it puts me on the spot, and my empathetic nature makes it hard to say no. So I foolishly agreed to commission them, on Friday the 25th, then on Tuesday they ask about me paying them on Wednesday, to which I told them no it was Friday. They proceed to lecture me about "You need to stick to a date" which I pointed out the mistake was theirs, and they just shrugged it off, and just sorta had a "whatever" attitude.

aside from that I have several commissions from other artists who I feel like have just been pushing my orders to the back of the line repeatedly, while I have seen them take on other projects and work tirelessly on them and complete them. Right now I am feeling very low, and taken advantage of. I'm FAR from exemplary, and do tend to flake out on projects, but at the same time I feel like my not being a hardass is almost inviting people to just brush me off, and disregard me.

At this point unless money has changed hands with a few exceptions consider me canceling my commissions that have been discussed.

Since the end of 2020 my life has been harder then normal. Since 2020 my dad’s cancer came back, my girlfriend broke up with me, dad passed from cancer on my birthday, one of our dogs passed due to an infection, then earlier this year my own brother attacked and tried to kill me and in the past month alone my cat of 17 years died, i went to the ER twice within a 3 week period and only now am almost over an infection.


I bring this all up because I know I have not been reliable, but I am trying. I’m trying not to loose all hope. Dome days just having the willpower to keep trying to survive uses all th energy I have. So please bear with me those who know me, and everyone else just consider this a rant post.

So after a LONG talk with PG&E we manged to work out a payment plan. I'm still accepting donations as money will be tight but at least we are not screwed.

Long story short PG&E told is to just pay what we can a few months ago. Well that was a fucking lie.

I really can't stand that I need to do this, but I don't see any other options...

Tonight my brother attacked me. He came at me with a bottle of gin, and a small metal tooth cleaner, and tried to choke me during the scuffle. The worst part is? I'm being treated as the bad guy by my family I live with. Does anyone here have a need of a room mate? At this point if it's out of state depending on where I may take that chance.

I'm basically going to have to invest in a safe for my own room at home so my brother doesn't constantly steal from me. Going to cost me between 250-300 dollars. Seemingly the only way to keep the asshole from trying to steal from me at every turn. Pray for my sanity.

So today me and the family have decided to have one of our dogs out to sleep. This hits me really hard because on top of the obvious reasons it's like things that bring me any joy or happiness keep getting taken from me. My girlfriend who I loved left me in 2020, earlier this year my dad died on my birthday, and now this. And these are just the big ones. I have had a lot of other things happen to me, and I'm just starting to loose hope. Like. when is life going to stop taking shit from me? I feel like the only reason I have any thing good happen any more is just so it hurts even more when it is inevitably ripped away from me. I want to be happy again, but I feel like some higher power is preventing me from ever being happy again.
