Basically this is my out-right announcement that I am not longer going to be doing Furry-related art here on FA. It's not anything to do with the site, but myself.

A lot of it has to do with a lack of privacy where I live (very judgmental family/small gossipy town) and I have never been an open furry to my family. It has become increasingly more stressful to find any time away to enjoy being a furry (I haven't been to see friends I desperately miss or to any cons in for some time) and my art here just reminds me of this. It's not easy to admit something that I came to love very dearly is no longer the same as it once was.

It is also the very fact I have felt myself shift further and further away from FA over roughly a year and a half. I need to quit so that this kind of art can still be fun and amazing, instead of "just work"....(I haven't even properly drawn my own sona in forever and this deeply upsets me.)

I can rant about several things in my life bringing about this change (depression/anxiety and the fact I've been more into adoptables/CS/chibis/manga art a lot lately), but I know I need just take a good step back from FA. I still plan on eventually getting back to cons as a visitor, especially to spend time with friends...But the art part is just becoming too much, especially when it's not what I enjoy anymore.

So if you need to contact me concerning any remaining refunds (I think my list is complete but I want to be 100% sure~!) or whatnot please do through note. It will not be quick by any means, but I will try to continue to pop in here randomly. There will be no new commissions through here for the foreseeable future, since I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking to other sites I'm more motivated on.

Thank-you all for supporting me all these years. I'm so grateful, you guys gave me my start and so much opportunity. I'll leave my gallery as-is for now and maybe in the future I can return clear-headed and work on developing my furry art into something I love once more.

I haven't been able to be on at all lately due to more bloody complications in my life and I wanted to post another update on the refunds being further delayed. My step-dad suddenly decided he'd "go to college" leaving us all in a financial mess despite my protests/isn't working at all (and of course he went to a "college academy" and not a real college so there isn't any real grants/bursaries readily available). I had to pick up the slack and shove down my anxiety so that I could help my mum with the bills (but working at Subway really isn't making a dent tbh).

My son had to go through a series of tests and has been officially diagnosed with Sound Speech Disorder alongside his Sensory issues which has had me scrambling to ensure he has the proper assistance for when he returned today to SK....And the additional expenses of getting my son to his various appointments so they can help him (the appointments are 45min away from our town). My grandmother on another note is doing well so far despite her cancer coming back so that has been the one plus in my life atm.


As of right now I cannot make a proper date for a refund despite my hopefulness to have had it ready for the dates I had believed would work out but obviously didn't. I am covering the mortgage for my parents' house so we don't loose where we live and just scraping by on other expenses like the electricity bill.


I will slowly get everyone their money when I get some breathing room between it all. I get that this is frustrating believe me. I just wanted to return the money and be done with the whole mess but I just don't have it enmass currently. I bawled in the office of the local food bank before I got my job JUST so we had something to eat. I haven't been this badly off financially, even in college and getting had enough time to pop online to keep people updated has been non-existent.

I will most likely not be online until things straighten and I can start pushing refunds through paypal. I can't apologize enough but I can't control my situation either right now and I have to focus on ensuring we don't loose our house right now.

To explain my absence/lack of communication...In short life is not going well for me financially, career-wise and all-round within my family.

I apologize to my fullest extent. This has been most unprofessional on my part and all you guys wanted was the items you paid for in a timely manner.

I know that this is no excuse. I shouldn't have ever let it get like this, but getting time to draw AND deal with a slew of really upsetting stuff...I haven't been able to handle it at all.

I'm not good mentally and I'm making myself sick overall because of it. I get onto my computer, try to draw what is owed and I start panicking because it hits me instantly how long I've been trying to just get everything completed. I lost my job recently due to a major escalation in my anxiety (which I haven't needed to really worry about since prior to my animation college days) and I couldn't handle having panic attacks in my workplace over customers yelling at me over the phone. (I will never work in customer service for a call center in my life again, I give major respect to people who can take that kind of stress and verbal abuse on a daily basis.)


I'm barely sleeping and I've even tried to distract myself with newer hobbies as per my doctor's request, then draw when I've felt calm...And BAM anxiety again.

**I don't expect anyone to read up on my issues below, I'm mostly venting because these are the things that have plagued me and I feel like I need to put them out there finally after so long. By all rights, skip down to the refund process.**


-The family Low-Down-

My grandmother's cancer has spread through-out her lungs (she already had a portion removed a while back) and she refuses to go through another round of treatments. She is the rock in our family which has sparked a lot of unresolved issues with our family members (she holds the mortgage for our house/various other things). On top of that my step-dad got fired (he was earning the most in the family), so my mom and I have had to pick things up by her working full-time at her minimum wage job while I babysit my cousin randomly (and all the money goes to the house bills/my parents).

The father of my son is rarely taking him on visits (maybe once every few months and I've tried my best to get him to agree to more) and so I have to go through the headache of contacting him when my son starts crying that he misses his dad. I barely have enough time to deal with the man's absentee parent issues, much less figure out how to finally take him to court over support/getting official custody...As well as deal with my son's speech and sensory stuff to boot which has been so very frustrating.

On another note, I just learned last night my step-dad NEVER mailed the few badges I did have done -they were sitting in our letter-holder in the kitchen for I don't even remember how long ago-?! I couldn't even get mad at him forgetting (he started doing a day course to become a dispatcher and has been busy), I should've done it myself...I'm just so frazzled right now that I wish I could curl up and never get up again.

I haven't even been able to properly communicate most of this my closest friends and I feel like I'm sinking further into an endless muck of things. I'm sorry everyone and I wish I could push through this with the speed I had for the FE two years ago...But honestly if I can't even get out a sketch at this point or finish coloring a lined badge...

It's definitely time to do the right thing and refund you all.

If anyone doesn't want a refund and rather wait...I can try to do my best to finish, I just don't know when it'll get done honestly.

Life in general has been in the way of my art since FE and since I've been absent on FA it's due to these on-going things:

My Grandma:

-I don't usually share this kind of stuff but its been seriously affecting me. My grandmother had a piece of her lung removed due to cancer a while back...And it was announced recently the cancer is now back in her other lung. Combined with a few other family things I'm rather wore out emotionally.

Workspace Update:

-What was only supposed to take a few days of final renos after FE turned into a big mess. I was finally allowed to set up my workstation in full yesterday (I'm still waiting on a bed affhhffhjj) and I was working wherever I could find a descent place prior to this. (My family doesn't know I'm into drawing furry art which makes things so much more harder/I need a private spot away from them to work.) I'm slowly getting back to full-out art mode (though I did warn at my table if I didn't post it'd be due to something like this).

Hey guys, I'm still puttering away at the traditonal redos and I wanted to ask if it was okay if I put up some quick digital stuffs (like non-shaded chibi ychs I can do between my traditional stuff). The reason I'm asking if this is okay is because my cat Tomo's face is super swollen and I'm very worried that he has an infection of some kind. I've been off of work for some time and just paid my rent...So I cannot afford to pay any kind of vet bills without doing some quick art right now.

He's not in pain (if I feel the lump he's purring/not shying from me)...But I've had this cat for like 15 years (he's been through everything with me) and I constantly worry about his health due to he's an inbred barn cat my family rescued. I'm already frustrated because I wanted to be done everything over the holidays and I just can't seem to get ahead. I believe few of you have voiced that you wouldn't mind picking your orders up at FE 2016 and I don't want to cause a ruckus since your opinions are really important to me.

I've edited the list since I've been able to get some stuff out. I've been delayed constantly due to renovations on a room at my house. The roof was so old it leaked in two places like a bloody jungle waterfall (100 year old house).

Okay I'm royally having a terrible day.

Slowly over the past few months I've been receiving concerned notes over statuses of stuff and I can't get into my nilwing e-mail which has made it worst (been waiting on hotmail to deal with it).

I mailed a tonne of things out about a month back and have come to find out A LOT of it has not gotten to you guys.

I've check my list vs. the notes I've gotten, which seems to have been a HUGE chunk of people. I launched an investigation with my post office but since I did the super stupid thing of not getting tracking numbers...They aren't really helpful at all.

At this point I am assuming it's all gone and I'm starting over (except for ZeraSapphire's digital chibi I can reprint and Featherdragon's who was last on the list/is still being worked on.)

I apologize deeply for all of this and will be working my tush off to make it right. This isn't fair to you guys and I'm so mad at myself for not putting tracking on everything.

I am aiming to have EVERYTHING DONE as soon as I can (lots of craziness in my family right now with renovations/repairs).

Hi guys, my lack of updating has been due to a lot of crud happening offline atm. My computer hasn't been working the best so I had to wait for my tax money to buy a new one (converted to a surface pro 2 so I can try to work in multiple places), job searches and my son has had pretty much back-to-back appointments due to lack of speech/potential autistic issues he was diagnosed with. I've been posting my progress with things on my "Somewhat Alive! List Updated" journal.

I've gotten behind on finishing my current commission list, like ungodly behind...All due to some unfortunate personal reasons, looking for a proper job, family and doing some Graphic Design for local businesses (friends of the family won't let me say no urgfhjgf).

Okay so I've run into a problem where a previous costumer wanted to use a comission for something that would be getting donations...But did not purchase a copyright/image buyout. My TOS has always been with me at cons and available on request. I'm openly posting it now due to these issues and the TOS applies to all of my artwork new or old!
I've used  Anyare's general document style (which is so much easier to read) and some awesome fancy words I learned from her revised TOS.

Nilwing Terms of Service
Revision date: First written April 11th 2011 now posted online Feb 10th, 2014.

Objective:
My objective is to provide the comissioner with an enjoyable and satifactory experience with production process of my artistic abilities on the requested image.

The Steps- Request for Commission(s):
The type and details are discussed through means of the Furaffinity or hotmail e-mailing systems (notes otherwise). Prices and art available are to be discussed with what I, the artist currently have available.

After I have accepted the commission, the commissioner must provide me with the necessary details within 48 hours time or it's to my discretion to deny services/take up another commission. If any important details are left out due to the comissioner's failure to state them I may refuse to add or charge extra depending on complexity of the request. Feel free to use any medium to convey your idea i.e. drawings, written description, etc. (But I must be able to discern them properly.)

Copyright/Copyright Buyout and Usage (VERY IMPORTANT):
I retain ALL rights, including copyright, to any work that I create. This is unless, the copyright is purchased for an additional fee ("bought out") of my choosing by the ORIGINAL comissioner. Buyout will allow the new copyright holder to edit, change, etc on the image but I still require credit to be noted to me. (Yes the characters, clothing, etc. requested are of your idea but the art I produce in the requested image is of my work aka. the art!) Commissioners may NOT use my work for commercial or for-profit purposes without my explicit permission, especially if profit or donations to another is involved.

Regarding Signature of Artist and Watermark:
The commissioner may not remove my watermark under ANY circumstance, even unless given explicit permission or bought-out copyright (allows this to be edited out but credit still must be given). Personal use printing (not-for-profit) are allowed. I reserve the right to post the finished and processes of the image on any of my galleries ( examples: Deviantart, FurAffinity, Blogspot, Tumblr, etc.) unless otherwise notified beforehand which will require a privacy fee to be dealt on my own discretion.

Regarding your Characters:
I am bound to fullfill any approved requests to keep a record/modify any work that contains characters or objects that are copyrighted to another individual or organization. Note that this means that you WILL be obligated to remove my work from any of your personal or commercial online and offline presences as well. Please ensure that you have proper permission to use all characters and/or objects that you wish to use in your commission (I can and will refuse to draw copyrighted characters I recognize). Fees for missed details on comissioner's part on their owned characters are subject to fees.

Quotes & Waiting Time
If there is any delay on your commission, you WILL BE NOTIFIED (unless immediate personal emergancies arise ie. schooling, offline main workplace jobs, family, moving, etc). You are welcome to e-mail/note me at anytime and ask about the status of your commission. I will happily answer any polite and rational questions you may have (angry or rude messages will be dismissed).

If you wish to have an image completed by a specific deadline, it is imperative that you PLEASE notify me during the initial commission request. We can work then something out if the timeframe is humanely possible. I do request I have at least a minimum of three weeks to complete a basic commission due to lack of workspace.

The commission will be considered accepted when first payment has been received.

Payment:
I require all payment upfront (or installments if approved by me). The conditions to Installments are at the start and then at completion of the image. All payment is done through PayPal unless in a convention setting where cash can be accepted. The commissioner will be emailed a PayPal invoice and payment must be in CAD (Canadian Dollars).

Private Commissions:
If you wish for your commission to remain private and unposted to personal galleries (Including FurAffinity, Weasyl, Blogspot, etc.), there is an additional fees. Please notify me before requesting the commission so a properly estimated quote can be given.

Revisions:
Commissioners are allowed one large revision for free ie. arm, head or clothing adjustment. As long as it does not require a complete redraw of the entire image I can edit things (simple colours ie. eyes). Small revisions (2 max most cases) are to my descretion. Anything after these revisions, will carry an extra fee depending on the request anywhere between $5 - $20 per (I do not do full redraws if orignal sketches are approved).

Revisions in Colour and Missed Items:
Anything that requires major recolouring will be charged $5 - $20 depending on scale. There are any character/item on my part (i.e. discussed in advance when initially requesting the commission) they will of course be fixed free of charge. If left out by comissioner that will incur fees on my discretion.

Final Deliverable:
This varies depending on what media I use! For digital commissions, I will provide you with .PNG file appropriate for posting to online galleries (high resolution on request).
Files can either be sent via gallery download, E-Mail, Dropbox or any other discussed method. I keep a backup of all my art and commissioners are welcome to request the files from me again in the future if they are ever lost.

I do NOT give out .PSD files.

For traditional commissions I will either scan or photograph the image to be requested for my gallery posting (which in turn can be put into comissioner's gallery) as a .JPEG. A large watermark will be added digitally or inked with pen on original. Original hardcopies have my signatures inked or pencilled and badges/keychains will be laminated unless stated otherwise.

Again, commissioners are welcome to post their commissions to any of their personal galleries with proper credit and link to my gallery. Commissions may be printed for personal use only.


Payment Installations-Final Payment:
The final deliverable will be withheld until payment is received in full. Commissioners will be able to view the completed deliverable in low resolution JPEG format only, with watermarking. If there is any issue with the final image, please let me know as soon as possible!

(If applicable) Mailing:
I can ship worldwide and there is a shipping fee to cover the cost of postage to where/what/how the commission is being sent. Please contact me to discuss mailing options and prices. I can not be responsible for anything lost or damaged in the mail since that will be Canada Post's, etc responsibilty.

Third-Party Lineart Colouring:
Commissioned lineart from me is allowed to be coloured yourself or commissioned to another artist to colour it. My only condition is that my watermark signature remains on the final image as well as appropriate credit posted for my lines.

Cancellations:
I reserve the right to cancel a commission at any time, especially if a comissioner causes grief or unwanted trouble during the image process. I also have the right to refuse a commission based on subject matter/comfort level.

Refunds:
REFUNDS CAN NOT be provided for completed work that has met all details! originally supplied to me (as stated above missed deatails are subject to fees). However if I have made an error on my part, please let me know, we can discuss options to get your comission done right.
I DO NOT DO FULL REFUNDS unless cancellations are made BEFORE I begin working!

Partial Refunds:
If you wish to be partial refunded and you will be charged for the amount of completed work done on the commission with .PNG proof sent of the work.

Personal Note:
If unhappy with something regarding one of the stages of production please let me know! When completed all images are final so if you do not wish to incur extra charges let me know promptly (I don't mind hearing about changes during the work period). I want to make my costumers happy and make you feel like your dollars were well spent (a polite reminder to fix something goes a long way).

What is your Fursona's name?
Nil-means zero or nothing/nonexistent username Nilwing (just Nil was taken). I like how simple "Nil" sounds and when developing my sona I had little idea what she would be.

What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
I created a closed species called "Changelings" since I never could pin down a normal species. Nil is basically a dragon-deer-cat-owl-fluff-butt combo with skull markings. She has a mascot/familiar form that's a skull dragon-cat thing.

Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Close enough lol.

Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Personality is pretty much the same but Nil is a little more aloof/crazy. She wouldn't really do much that I wouldn't.

Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yup!

Does your fursona look like you at all?
Body type, height and eye/hair colour yup. I love faux hawks and my haircut isn't there yet (but I'm naturally blonde.) I used the colours of my favorite leather and mink fur coat (it was a gift from a looong way back) with hints of red.

I have a few alts, Senaris a wingless horned redwolf gryphon mix, Rethnak and Lorovos a two-headed oroboros, Frostbite a housecat snowy owl gryphon and a nameless dragon hybrid I'm currently developing.

Nil's got a comic story background I won't elaborate on in case I actually get around to doing it lol. She has her own origin but it revolves around things I like.

No, nope, neva. Nil's forms may have changed but I tend to rename them and make them new characters.

Uhhh no...I'd need a good chunk of change to even consider a Nil suit. She has a lot of different textures (long fluffy fur, short fine fur, feathers and hooves).
