so today i wanted to upgrade to gamemaker studio 2, since it looks pretty dang cool, and I found some tutorials to help me make my game that use its features

Sure, there's a trial, but it's EXTREMELY limited in how much you're allowed to put into a project, so limited that it's genuinely not even worth bothering with. AUGH! why must this be so problematic ;w;

I might as well! You peeps are interested, so I might as well give it a try. To acclimate myself, I'm only going to take 4 at a time, and I may be choosy about what I draw. Easier to draw when it's something you find more interesting and motivated for, after all.

If I offered commissions of $2 for lineart, $5 for color, would anyone be interested? Just checking for interest right now, not availability of funds. XD And yeah, I know those prices are super low, but I'm not that good at art right now, so I don't wanna give something low-quality for large amounts of money.

No matter how the US presidential election has gone, no matter how bleak things may seem, don't let stress, fear, and uncertainty consume you! Yeah, you have the right to freak out, but don't deny yourself your right to be happy as well! It may seem like you CAN'T be happy, but I know you can! There's always hope, there's always things to be optimistic about! Take the time to stress, but also make sure to take the time to do the things you enjoy doing! Don't stop just because things seem bad. The worst of times are when we need to force our biggest smiles. And the times we need our happiness the most.

So through the coming months, make sure to be good to yourself! Play some fun games, hang out with friends, read a book you really enjoy! Just make sure you keep doing things that bring you joy, even if just for that fleeting moment, because every little bit means a lot! To me, to yourself, to your friends, to your family... A little goes a long way, as they say! :D

Welp. No more art from me for a few weeks, I thankfully ordered a new one a little while ago, but... They're a little low-quality, it seems, so I may need to get another again in the future... Ummm...


Kinda wish I had something more professional, like a Microsoft Surface or one of them fancy drawing tablets, but I can't afford them. Oh well.

So regardless, I figure I should go ahead and mark down how much I need to refund everyone, so I'm not scrambling to try to figure out who gets how much. UPDATE: My parents reminded me that i got paperwork from them showing what I was supposed to receive (free diagnostic ONLY), so long story short, I complained, and got my tablet FULLY FIXED FOR FREE. Yup =3 Now I can start drawing when my new stylus gets here! >w<

So, last week I took my tablet, which wasn't logging in to my account over 48 hours, to a local repairman that works about a 5 minute walk away from where I currently live. He worked at it, and...it would no longer boot. He told me it'd be ready by the next day. IT TOOK HIM TWO DAYS, AND THEN HE COULDN'T EVEN GET IT TURNED ON BECAUSE HE LET THE BATTERY DIE. So I took it back because I was sick of his stalling. Now it won't boot ANYTHING at all, not even what is supposed to fix everything that was originally wrong with it. So I'll most likely need to get a new tablet, which I can't even afford. It'll take me at least $350 or so just to get one! >_< Urgh. What can I do? Is there any legal way I can sue this guy into paying for it to be fixed, or buying me a replacement? It's his fault! Sadly, I have no proof it wasn't like this before I took it to him, or that I even took it to him in the first place... I didn't sign any paperwork with him. I have no witnesses to how it was beforehand. What can I do? I just want my tablet back in working order... I even bought a stylus for it so I can practice drawing when it's fixed... .w.

I should've made this last week, but my home issue is solved, so no need for any more donations. We're comfortably in a new home now :3

Thanks to everyone for donating to us...! We've raised $500, which unfortunately does not allow us to get a home, but... "Thankfully", my grandma is offering to help us rent a new place, which isn't ideal but at least keeps a stable(?) roof over our heads. Also unfortunately, we have to give her this $500 or no go. If we don't take the offer, we're in a motel, which...we won't be able to get out of because monthly payments will be around $1,200. :/ So it's basically not good either way. :/ Sorry...

...yeah. My family's being evicted from our current home within a week or two, so we'll be homeless then, and I'll be without access to the greater internet. We'll be staying at a hotel/motel/whatever so we're not out on the streets, but... Nothing we can do. Even if we find a home in time, we can't afford the money required to move in...
