Black Friday Weekend Updates
Posted 11 years agoFirst off, before anything else: THANK YOU GUYS, SO MUCH, for making this event such a HUGE success!! You are all freaking wonderful. I never imagined it would go this well, and I could not be happier. Again, THANK YOU ALL!!!
Now, for the updates. I took in more orders than I ever would have imagined, so it's going to take me a while to get them all done. Probably a week or so. At the end of each day, though, I'll be having my lil' assistant Zuzu sending out finished art, so keep an eye on your emails.
I know most folk have work during the day on weekdays, so I'll be doing streams starting in the late afternoons while I work on these for you guys. If you'd like to know when I'm about to go live, I'll be posting something to my facebook ( www.facebook.com/NimRoderick ), my Twitter ( www.twitter.com/NimRoderick ), and Tumblr ( www.NimRoderick.tumblr.com ) as well. So give any one of those a follow, if you'd like to know when I go live! I'm expecting to be able to do it aroouuuund 4ish, 5ish EST.
Also, RAFFLE PRIZES will be posted sometime soon, so keep an eye out for those, you lucky winner people you!

I'm gonna do something a little differenty for tonight's show. I'll still take commissions if any of y'all want to get yourselves something pretty, but instead of actively seeking 'em out tonight, I'm going to show you guys the start to finish process I go through for one of my bigger pieces! It's been a while since I've done one for myself, let alone posted one, and it's about time I change that and show you guys what I can really do when I get fancy.
SO! When 9pm EST rolls around, come join me! Enjoy some spiffy music, and see a really sweet painting come to life. I think I'll be doing a character I haven't shown here yet, called Grolhide. If you enjoy tribal critters and/or neato monsters, you'll definitely enjoy this. Plus I'll be explaining the process as I go along, and answering any questions along the way. Be they about technique, the software, or the critter itself.

Posted 11 years agoSo guys! This week is the best holiday pretty much ever, and I'm doing something extra fun for this week's show. Instead of having it tonight, we're pushing it back to tomorrow, and we're having a Day Before Halloween Party!
And what does this entail? I'll be opening up for painting your characters as your favourite horror figure! Anything from a zombie to a werewolf to a mummy to the dude from Hellraiser to a Nurse from Silent Hill to whatever crazy spook you guys can dream up! We're gonna have a GREAT time, so come out tomorrow and join us!

> Soooo... system restore. It does its thing, arguing with my computer about not being a butt for a while. After a bit, it wins that argument, and it turns on
> Then begins the journey to figure out why my tablet drivers are magically in limbo for some reason. Hoo boy.
> Aaaaannnddd... Everything runs super crazy stupid slow for a while, because hey, why not put some icing on the crap cake, right?
So, here I am, at the other end of all that. My computer's on, working, and only being a butt to levels I have previously found acceptable. But it's working! And that's what matters. HOO BOY, that was fun.
Buuuuut... it's almost 11:30pm, and there isn't much point in starting up a show for a whopping half hour. And I should probably let all these updates run, anyway. So.. Beh. I guess it just wasn't meant to be tonight. Really sorry about that, guys! I'll just have to make next week all the better!

Posted 11 years agoOk, so... a sort of art-block has hit me like a sack of stones. I've been super frustrated with my painted work lately.. SO, I'm trying to push through it, come up with some stuff I can look at and go "Hell yeah! I drew that" instead of "uurrggghhhhh I drew that oaijsdfoajsdf....." But honestly, it's kicking my ass right now.
That said, tonight's show's gonna be a short one. Recca's out of town doin' Recca-stuff, so it's just me. Even so, come on out and have some fun.
